Chapter 2 Stray Path and The Rebirth of Broken Vow

A/N: Sorry for the late update. I'm busy this past week and been doing the last chapter of Blue Bird ^_^; . Anyways, Here's the chapter two of Innocence Blue.

A place where no one known... Four people gathered to discussed the issue of the person they sworn servitude and protection. The King. And they are known as The Quatre Knights.

"It seems like Daigo tried to stop the Heads of Link Joker from their attempts to get The King." The first and youngest and only girl in the group started. " So should we kill him?"

The second arched an eyebrow questioningly at her and inquired. "Why are you eager to kill him?"

"Because he almost tell those bastards the truth!" The first growled at him dangerously.

Before the second could give his piece of mind. He was cut short by the third member of their group.

"Well, It really doesn't matter at all as he just exclaim that none of them will be able to reach The King which is truth because as long we are here never will they lay hands at him again." The third one and brute looking answered.

"He's right. As long as we're here none of them will be able to harm him" The fourth one stated. "Though I must say I can't understand why he must do that"

"Do what?" The first asked then her eyes widened as she saw something took her breath away. "Lookie! Lookie! They meet again! It seems the little Dragon has find its way back to its old master" She pointed enthusiastically and grinned lopsidedly.

"Heh.. That is the start of their nightmare or should I say curse fate?" The second leaned a little bit closer so he could see more of the present situation.

"Don't say that it wasn't that bad to say the least. As it's only the mark of the beginning of how things will get interesting at their boring life." The third scolded the second lightly though there's no heat in them.

"Indeed, My apologies." The second one bow mockingly as to show his apology which the latter just shrug it off then laughed along with the first.

Then the first noticed the lack of participation of the fourth member in their group as he remained quiet most of the time so she tried to get his attention by calling him which the respond is immediate.

"What is it?" The fourth inquired.

The first tilted her head cutely as she observed his neutral features then she blunted. "You look funny."

"Huh?"

"You look constipated," She blurted out which made the other two occupants lead into pits of laughter.

"Wha-What are you saying?! I do not look constipated neither feel like that!" The fourth roared out of embarrassment and angrily.

"Oh? Really? Then why are you scowling and not saying a thing?"

The fourth managed to regain his composure instantly then sighed tiredly as he looked at the lone throne facing The Earth. He is not really looking at the throne but the person who is sitting there for sometime now. "I'm just thinking. That if everything ends that is the time we will strike."

"So what is the matter with that? None of them will know that they are being manipulated by the strings of fate." The second and third one exclaimed. "And don't think we will be beaten us we are the chosen ones of The King by himself. We are invincible"

The fourth wanted to argue but refrain from doing so as he continue to stare at the sleeping form the boy in the throne. It was obvious to the others that he is the most loyal and welling to do anything for The King as he developed a huge admiration from him or to be more precise he has a one-sided love for him.

The other three members of Quatre knights noticed that it's impossible to talked at him when he was in that deep thought and so they came to conclusion to dismissed the meeting and waited for another better time for a big event to discuss with. And leave the room silently with The King and The fourth who remains in their position.

"They're right. There's nothing to worry about if this never-ending dream have been finally broken and they woke up from it... Then we will stop them from reaching you." He kissed the ring on his middle finger then bow down in front of the backside of the throne. "But, What will happens afterwards? Tell me, Aichi-san. What exactly are you planning on doing?"

The only response that meets his question is silence but that is enough for him in the meantime.

"So you've arrived at last, Are you going to capture me or worst you are going to kill me, Kai Toshiki?..."

What?

Kai blinked for a moment to make sure he isn't hearing things nor he is going insane. There's someone speaking in his head and he was certain it was caused of the blue haired boy in front of him.

But the real question here is not the way he knows about the mission but about knowing his real identity. His true name not his alias.

Aichi tilted his head. "So? What is your business here? Capture or kill me?"

There is it again. Kai touched his head as he experienced another buzz but it's much softer than the first then there's the voice he assumed belongs to his target.

Then he frowned at Aichi as pressed his weapon against his throat, drawing small droplets of blood. "What did you do to me?" It's not a question as it's more likely a demand as his voice is filled with authority.

Aichi smile hasn't disappear but his eyes seemed grew a bit darker at every second past between them. "I believe it's me that ask a question first so I find it rude when you didn't answer me then throw me another question."

Kai stared at him moment as if analyzing the boy which is true and then he blurted out. " I'm here to kill you, Sendou Aichi." A lie. His real mission was to capture the boy then he will bring him to headquarters of Link Joker then leave him there then wait for their call for him to kill the boy. He didn't know why he had said that but he wanted to see the different emotions swirling in those unseeing yet vague eyes that held more than just one secret being kept from the world. Kai didn't like puzzles as it's a waste of time to solve them as the outcome is the same but for this boy so called 'Sendou Aichi'; He's willing to solve every puzzle or mystery that surrounds him and he can't helped but to find himself enthralled at the aura filled the boy- Warmth,gentle and loving. With that thought, he will get the answers before he complete his task.

"Oh, Is that so? Then do it." Aichi stared at him, eyes completely become dark that seems turned into black for a moment and not a single emotion swirls in them which irritates the brunette as he can't bring himself to know what is running in his head at the present moment.

Kai's grip on his sword tighten and his eyes burned with obvious rage and irritation directly towards at the boy before him. " Aren't you scared of dying?."

Aichi can't shake his head because of the blade pressed roughly on his neck and if he moved too much or in one wrong turn it will be the end of him but he did it anyways drawing more blood out of his neck and making the wound a bit bigger but despite it pressed against him, it was not yet killing him as Kai moved it back a little so he could breath and move a little as the brunette is certain the blue haired boy won't run away from him.

Kai eyes softened when Aichi winced a little and he asked in a more gentle tone as he repeated his earlier question. He can't understand but he felt a little bit compassionate at the boy as he seemed like a fragile glass that needed to be taken care of. "Why? Why aren't you scared of dying?"

"Don't be afraid of death, Be afraid of an unlived life." Aichi smiled at him gently and his eyes seemed returning to it's gentle blue. "And besides if it's you. I don't mind dying by your hands. Dragonic Overload The Re-birth."

At the moment, There's another painful buzzed in his head and he saw his hands covered in blood and his surrounding but just like it instantly appeared, it disappears the moment he saw it.

When Kai was busy in complementing at just what happened. He didn't noticed that Aichi's smile turned into a frown.

Then Kai's head snapped instantly as he sense somebody's approaching. No! It's not just a single person but a battalion of Reverses! Kai eyes widened as they arrived at the place.

"Dragonic Overload The Re-birth, It's truly an honor to be able to work with you but we didn't come here for ideal chit-chat. We came here for business and that is to help you to capture that boy behind you!" One of the Reversed announced, probably the leader.

Kai lowered his head and pulled his sword away from Aichi which didn't shocked the latter but the other occupants namely The Reversed, A lowly being without any statuses. "Why did you come here" Kai demanded, his voice was low octave and it shows of how angry he is at the present situation. Behind his bangs his eyes that was still green a moment ago turned into a bloody crimson.

There's no response.

Kai raised his head, red eyes filled with bloodlust , rage and hatred. "You won't give me answers?" He stepped forward and some of the Reversed step back out of fear but some remains in their position surrounding him and Aichi.

The leader closed his eyes and took a deep breath and said. "We came here because were order to help you."

Kai arched an eyebrow mockingly. "Do you honestly think that I, Dragonic Overload Re-birth will believe in that pathetic lie?"

"Well, This the complete message of The Heads of Link Joker, 'If ever Dragonic Overload Re-birth strayed in his path never hesitate to take him down'" The leader opened his eyes to looked at the burning red of Kai's. "But there's no need for such violence as we know you will never betray the association for that pitiful boy behind you."

Fool.

Without any warning The Leader's head fall and roll down in the floor and blood splaying everywhere which earned silent surprised gasps from everyone except from Aichi, Of course.

"You dare to threaten me? You have no right." Kai glared coldly at the dead body laying on the floor then he return his gaze at the others who seemed ready to bolt outside as they are trembling in fear more basically they fear for their own life.

"You-You betray us!" One brave enough shouted as he tried to attack Kai but Kai easily blocked him.

"Betray you idiots? Don't make me laugh. You fools never will become my league!" Kai said dryly. He wasn't that talkative but this morons keep hitting in his nerves when they belittle him. "And to begin with I was never been Part of the organization." He smirked satisfyingly at their horrified faces. "Are you ready to meet your maker?" As soon as those words escaped his mouth. Everything went blurred and then the entire place was covered with pool of lots of blood.

Kai pulled his weapon out of the person he stabbed behind from his back and he looked at Aichi with cold yet calculating eyes then he asked once again. "Now, tell me are you still not scared of dying when the person in front of you could kill you in just a blink of an eye?"

Aichi didn't respond but he slowly approached Kai until he was already in front of him then he slowly and gently caressed his bloodstained face. And he smiled softly at him. "I told you didn't I? I won't mind dying in your hands so if you are going to kill me then do it without any questions because I will gladly accept death if it's you will take my life."

"I'm glad that I was able to meet you,Kai-kun."

Kai remained quiet as he listened at the words of boy before him and the unknown flashback of voice and unknown face popped up in his head when the blunette justified his words.

Slowly Kai raised his sword up in the air to strike the boy and Aichi closed his eyes awaiting his end but the warm smile on his face never disappears even knowing he would be killed by just one blink of an eye.

But to his surprise he felt a soft and sweet sensation on his lips and he gasped silently and then the sweet ambrosia and Aichi eyes snap opened as he realized what is the liquid went passed through his mouth and what is Kai doing to him. It was Kai's blood he tasted and Kai is making an blood oath with him to be more precise he was kissing him!

Even though Aichi couldn't see a thing he know that his face was beet red as he could feel the heat from his cheeks. He couldn't believe it Kai Toshiki made a blood oath with him which can never be broken and it's symbolize eternity.

Kai pulled slightly and opened his eyes only to see the flustered reaction of the boy but he ignored that as he went on to give his vow. "I, Kai Toshiki pledged to protect Sendou Aichi and stay by his side for all eternity, to not let any harm near in you and will not let death take you away. As the proof my loyalty and alliance I'll give you my other half(soul) and life. Now, Sendou Aichi. My blood contractor, Will you accept the limitless protection I'm willing to give you?"

"Yes. I accept everything from you,Kai-kun."Aichi leaned at him. "Thank you.."

Kai's mind was chaotic but one thing is cleared. He didn't regret making a blood oath with Sendou Aichi which he find strange because despite forming alliance with Link Joker he never bonded with them nor he promised loyalty so he can easily cut his chains that they put in him.

"Kai-kun?"

Ah. Aichi was still there waiting for him to say a thing.

"I'm tired" Kai said softly. "Let me take a nap and assure you after that I will fulfill my promise."

Aichi didn't need to say a thing as Kai instantly drips off into peaceful slumber after saying that. He put Kai gently on his bed and slowly stepped back.

"I'm really grateful, Kai-kun but I hoped we never meet at all." A single tear rolled down in Aichi's cheeks as he said those words filled with sadness and remorse.
