A/N: When escaping from the bounty hunter in 2x09, Merlin and Freya took a different route and so she did not die. Takes place after the first Arthur/Merlin scene of 2x10 - Sweet Dreams.

"Get out."
Merlin grinned. "Yes, Sire."
Being dismissed by the embarrassed prince gave him the perfect excuse to visit the dragon's cave where he found Freya curled up asleep on the ledge. As he sat beside her, the dragon swooped down onto his usual perch.
"How did it go last night?" Merlin asked.
"She kept biting me."
Merlin grinned at his sulky tone. "But can you cure her?"
"I'm sorry, young warlock, the curse is too strong. There is but one option."
"What's that?"
"You must take her to the Lake of Avalon and appeal to the Sidhe for assistance."

A/N: This was the hardest one to get down to 100 words so far as I developed quite a detailed AU for this in my head. Which now means this has gone on my To-do list as a future one-shot I need to write. :D
