Challenge Given: Series 4: Claiming Kin
Invent a previously unknown family member for one of the knights and write a drabble about that character. (Write anywhere from 100-300 words.)
Personal Challenge: Make the whole of this Series 4 challenge a 100 word drabble challenge.
A/N: This challenge made me instantly think of Nessa, the sister I gave to Leon in 'We Loyal Traitors'. I've also brought back that 'horrid child' Gareth from my 'In The Beginning' drabble.
Claiming Kin
At three, Nessa decided she would be a knight. Her parents thought it a great joke. Her brother, Leon, humoured her.
At seven she was denied official training. Her father, a knight himself, taught her anyway.
At ten, Lady Morgana arrived and a love of sword-play brought the girls together. Their conflicting personalities quickly drove them apart.
At fourteen, dressed as a boy, Nessa attempted to become a squire. Leon played along, Prince Arthur laughed and Gareth informed their trainer.
At twenty-five, Prince Arthur, due to a shortage of knights, bent the rules and made Nessa a Knight of Camelot.
