Crossing Paths
Uther urged Morgana to stay in her chambers. Inevitably, the nine year old ignored the instruction and went exploring, determined to find the deepest, darkest, scariest part of the castle.
And there, in an underground cavern, she was confronted by an enormous dragon perched on a rock, staring at her with golden eyes.
"Why are you here, little witch?" the creature asked.
"Witch?" Morgana's fear was quickly replaced by annoyance. "How dare you call me that!"
"I speak only the truth."
"I shall not be insulted by an... overgrown lizard!" she retorted, storming off in annoyance.
Kilgharrah looked mortified. "Lizard?"

A/N: So, could Kilgharrah's dislike for Morgana actually be for more childish reasons?
