So here it is guys, the revision. Hopefully I can get restarted and redo most of these with out waiting so long in between. But yea just bear with me and thank you to those who have stayed and followed and faved my story. Love you guys
The alarm blared into his ears as he struggled to get up. It was only 6:30 but Naruto knew if he didn't get up now, he never would. He swung his legs over the edge of the bed, his feet slightly grazing the cold floor. He stretched and popped every joint he could, trying to wake up.
Naruto shuffled to his bathroom, and turned on the shower waiting for the water to finally heat up. After the quick little rinse, he stepped out shivering as his body readjusted to the cooler temperature. His hand swiped across the foggy mirror, and looked himself over, sighing in discontent.
Naruto was only seventeen years old, but had a hard life to start with. Both of his parents died when he was young, his mother died in childbirth, and his father followed shortly after with cancer. After that he went from foster home to foster home, and when he finally turned sixteen he got a job and got his own place.
His apartment was only a studio, and it was in the cruddy part of town but it was better than nothing. He worked and went to school, he had no social life, but that wasn't really by choice. Being the poor orphan annie at his school labeled him as unpopular.
He literally had no friends to speak of and was bullied on a daily basis. His scrawny appearance made him an easy target for beatings as well.
Naruto stood at 5'11 which wasn't short but he was skinny. His overly large hand-me-down shirts and jeans hid his frame and looked as if his clothes would swallow him whole. But all the money he earned went to bills and food. Naruto never bought himself anything nice, the only indulgence he could afford was his ramen.
The cheap packs allowed him to eat ramen for every meal and didn't mind one bit. But his poor diet contributed to major acne problems. Naruto hated his skin and he tried flattening his hair to cover up as much as possible.
"UGH! I don't want to go to school!" he dragged his hands down his face trying to muster up the courage to walk out the door. He tried to delay this moment as much as possible but what more could he do after showering, getting dressed, and eating?
Naruto grabbed his backpack and slung it on his shoulder. He dragged his feet as he left his apartment. When he made it downstairs, he inhaled deeply. He tried really hard to mentally prepare himself for the outside world.
Its tormentors and hell raisers waited just outside, it seemed to wait just for him.
The air was crisp and slightly cold, the clouds overhead were a promise of rain "Greeeaaaat, of course it's going to rain the day after I lose my umbrella" he huffed knowing damn well that somebody stole it from his locker. Not because they needed it, but because they wanted to make his life difficult.
He gripped the strap on his shoulder with both hands and started off, saying a small prayer in hopes it didn't rain on his way to school.
School was a couple of miles from his place but the bus stop was only 9/10th of a mile. Plenty room for Naruto to get pummeled by his waiting assailants. Oh well, what more could he do?
He scurried through people trying desperately to reach the bus stop. It was just a few hundred yards away, almost in reach, his chest felt light and he was almost giddy. Finally he would have a good start, his steps got lighter. He was smiling a little even.
But as quickly as it came it disappeared as hands grabbed him roughly and dragged him into the nearby alley. He grunted as his back and head where harshly slammed into the wall. Leering faces looked him over "Hey Naruto, how ya been faggot?" the guy was a few inches taller than Naruto, as where the other two holding him back.
He swallowed, not sure if answering was the right choice at this point. But then he felt the sharp pain in his gut as the guy's fist slammed into him "It's rude to ignore people Naruto" they all snickered around him. Coughing, he tried not to tremble, for Naruto this was fear.
He never knew how long the beatings would go on for, if they would just finally lose control and finish him, or beat him to point of near death. Its times like these that Naruto wish he never left his bed.
"Sorry, what was the question?" he straightened himself up, as much as he could with the other two holding him, and stared at his assailant. The guy didn't answer, he just connected his fist to Naruto's face.
Naruto eyes widened as he tried to shake the stars out of his head, or where they outside his head just dancing around him. "Let's go, just not feeling it today" they walked off laughing.
How people can get off on beating the shit out of someone is beyond reasoning, Naruto realized he was on his knees, his fingers sprawled on the dirty concrete, they scraped across as his hands formed tight fists. He was angry, yes, but what could he do.
He picked himself up, feeling his knees pop and creak, he felt old.
He carefully walked back onto the sidewalk towards the bus stop. He sat down on the bench and held his back pack to his chest. He knew the bus was always a little late but the weather grew worse with each passing second. He looked up at the small canopy that covered the stop area, he was pretty damn happy with whoever invented these things.
A few minutes later, the large city bus came to a halt its brakes squealing. The door cracked open, and Naruto made his way up the steps. Throwing in his change, he made his way to the back and took an empty seat near the window.
He laid his head against the cool glass and watched as the first drops of rain descended down. He smiled; things weren't going too bad today.
The rain still poured down as the bus came to a slow stop in front of the school. He ran across the lawn, feeling water drench through his hoodie, and he bounded up the steps into the large building. Many students followed suit when the rain seemed to come down a lot harder.
Naruto walked closer to the doors to the office and brushed his hands over his hoodie and jeans. He tried to get as much moisture off as possible. He looked around the corner into the commons area where are the other students were seated, chattering, all huddled in their respective cliques.
Naruto self-consciously gripped the straps on his backpack harder as he made his way across the room. He had cross the cafeteria to get to the senior hallway and to his locker. He just had to keep his head down and keep moving.
He hated to go this way, especially since he had to cross paths with them. Them being the elite rich group of the school, the ones who drove the most expensive cars, wore the designer clothes, and just oozed with superiority.
As if they were better than everyone else, I mean since when did money dictate who was great and who was crap. Naruto didn't understand it; sure he envied them, one in particular.
HE had it all, the great looks, the great grades, all the friends, and he was dating the most, in his opinion, beautiful girl ever. His name was Sasuke Uchiha, the luckiest, most arrogant bastard ever.
Just as Naruto looked up, he locked eyes with those coal black eyes. The glare was intense and Naruto instantly shot his eyes down, trying hard to avert a conflict. And just as he thought that today's luck was running out, the Uchiha only smirked and returned his attention to the crowd surrounding him.
It was strange usually if you got in his infamous death glare, you were subject to humiliation. Naruto breathed a sigh of relief; he didn't even know he was holding his breath. But Sasuke always made Naruto nervous. Some days he would torment Naruto like there was no tomorrow, other days he just completely ignored his existence.
Which was completely fine with him, in fact Naruto wished everyone would do that. It was a hell of lot better than being called those names or getting pummeled every day. Naruto made his way to his locker, put in his combination, and set his backpack inside.
He took out his biology book and notes and headed towards his first class just as the warning bell rang. He tried to get to this class before the teacher did so he could stow away in the back. Oh how he hated his biology teacher Orochimaru.
He was a mean son of a bitch and for some reason hated Naruto. But luck was on his side today as he was the first one in. He took the very back seat near the window and situated himself in. The other students bustled in before the teacher arrived and counted them tardy.
Naruto looked up as he saw pink tresses head his way. He swooned as he saw her, she giggled, a beautiful sound, as she latched onto her boyfriend. Naruto saw Sasuke roll his eyes at her and shover her arm away from him. "What a bastard, if she was my girlfriend I would never treat her that way."
Once the rest of the class settled into their seats, Mr. Orochimaru entered "Everyone quiet so we can begin today's lesson" He glanced over the room, checking to see if anyone was missing and once he was satisfied he began writing on the board.
Naruto disliked biology, not only because of the teacher but it was also very boring. He stared out the window, the clouds seemed to be getting darker and darker and suddenly a large crack of thunder shook the classroom and the lights flickered.
Most of the girls started screaming and Orochimaru had to yell over them, screaming at them to be quiet. Everyone was chirping about closing early, Sakura leaned into Sasuke "If they close school early, wanna come over and watch a movie?" her eyes just glistened with hope.
Sasuke merely scoffed "I doubt the-" The intercom came on, "Students and faculty, due to inclement weather we have decided to cancel school today, your parents have been notified and buses will be here shortly. Please be safe if you drive home. Thank you" Everyone started cheering, Naruto couldn't help but smile too.
Today was going so damn well, almost too well. Naruto grabbed his books, wanting to dash out the door. But before anyone could leave, Orochimaru made everyone write down tonight's homework assignment.
After everyone was done groaning, he dismissed them. Naruto hurried past everyone and accidently bumped shoulders "Oops sorry" he mumbled trying to get out as fast as he could. "Watch it deadlast".
Of course the one person he would run into would be Sasuke, but before the raven haired teen could comment anymore, Naruto was out the door.
Naruto walked out the front doors holding his backpack to his chest and braced himself for the downpour. The buses stopped running at this time so he had to make a run for it.
His shoes sloshed in the puddles and he could already feel the water seeping through his clothes. The shortest way was through the park; usually the trees could create a decent canopy.
It didn't stop the rain, but it made it lighter.
There was no one insight which made it easier for Naruto to run through. Dodging other people would have really slowed him down.
He started to slow down after the first mile, his stamina was running low. Lightening rushed across the sky and you could see it through the leaves.
The thunder came immediately after. "The storm must be right over me now" he picked his pace back up, but his foot caught a limb and he fell face first. His hands were busy holding his backpack, so his head took most of the blow, along with his shoulders. "Damnit!" he lifted himself up. He was covered in mud.
A noise from behind startled him and when he turned to investigate, his heart dropped into his stomach.
"Well don't you clean up real nice Naruto" there they were, the three jerks from earlier all laughing and walking towards him. Naruto backed away and turned to run but they grabbed him and brought him down.
There were no words of reason; he didn't know why they started beating the shit out him. Pure enjoyment or they were bored. The kick to the head brought tears to his eyes, he tried not to let them see him cry and he hoped the rain covered for him.
Suddenly the boys stopped laughing and the beating, when they and Naruto heard a growl. When Naruto looked over in the bushes he saw glowing eyes, and large paws stepped forward. It looked like a wolf, but why would a wolf be in a city park.
The other boys stepped back slowly and as soon as the large wolf growled again showing off its canines, the boys ran. Naruto tried to stand quickly and follow in suit with them. But his body ached badly and he could barely stand.
The wolf surfaced from the shadows, hunched over, his stare never leaving Naruto. It readied itself for the attack. Naruto tried to escape by dragging his body away. The wolf launched itself at Naruto. He let out a horrendous scream as the wolf latched to his shoulder. Its canines tore through his clothes and flesh, going straight to the bone.
The pain was so intense.
Naruto froze and then he blacked out.
And today was going so well.
To be continued... R&R
