Chapter 27: Power Emotions
After realizing the cause of my agonizing headaches, I found myself in a dark and mysterious dimension. There was a sinister aura surrounding the place and it made me feel uneasy. The first time I arrived, there was a voice saying random emotions and laughing at me. It dropped down and then suddenly attacked me. The second time I arrived, I managed to find out who it was; however, it was me.
Right now, I am literally looking at myself. From head to toe, this person had the exact same features I possess. We had the same color and style of hair. Our heights were exactly the same and our faces were identical. We even had the same eyes; but his had something mine didn't. His expression even matched mine normally if not when I'm serious.
"Hello there; Ren," the person greeted in the same gentlemen way I do. Even our voices matched. I stared at him intensely, but he wasn't affected by it; he just kept our cool-headed expression.
"Who are you supposed to be?" I asked him. He crossed his arms and replied.
"Who else could I be? I am none other than you."
"That's a lie; you can't be me. And you can't be some twin because I would've known if I had one," I stated. He shook his head no while looking down.
"Are you sure that your parents didn't want to say anything to you? Because after all, your parents did neglect you for a while," the person revealed. My eyes widened at his words. I tightened my hands into fists.
"And how do you know what happened between me and my parents?" I questioned. He pointed to himself.
"I know everything about you. Like I keep saying, I am you. I possess the same qualities you have. Brains, body, personality, traits, and even heart; except mine isn't as good as yours," he replied. "To make this easier for you, call me whatever you like; I really don't care."
"Then I'll call you Yamato," I stated. He shrugged his shoulders.
"If that's how you want to call me," Yamato replied.
"Now then Yamato, what is your business here. Why am I meeting you like this?" I interrogated.
"I don't have to answer that. You're a smart person so how about you figure it out?" Yamato asked back. I smirked a little.
"That's because you don't know," I told him. "You said we share the same intelligence quantity, but you can't tell me why we're meeting."
He started chuckling as he shook his head.
"You're observant I'll give you that, but your observation is completely wrong," he stated.
"What; and how's that?" I asked. Yamato pointed at me.
"I know the exact same things you know; I even know things you aren't even aware of. Me being here is one of those things," he said. "You can't tell why I'm here because you were never aware of my presence. I've been with you since the beginning; and now our meeting has arrived."
I put my hand under my chin and thought of what he said.
'He's been with me since the beginning? What could he mean by that?' I pondered.
"You're confused aren't you?" Yamato asked me. I gritted my teeth, signaling him that he was right.
"If that's so, then I'll make it even more confusing for you. It's because of you that I'm here standing in front of you."
He glared daggers at me and without warning, attacked me. I wasn't prepared and he punched me in the stomach. I hunched forward, but he kept me up with his arm and looked past me without a look of guilt. Yamato pulled his arm back and let me hit the floor. I was about to get back up, but he stomped on my back, keeping me in place.
"It would be wise if you stay on the ground. It'll make things easier for me."
"What?" I questioned.
He held his hand out beside him and started concentrating on something. As a result, the place started shaking and some of the aura surrounding the place began moving. A stream of the sinister aura came to Yamato's hand and started decreasing in size. Yamato closed his hand, and a katana mysteriously formed from the aura. Yamato held the blade right beside my neck.
"Now that I'm here, your time has come to an end. And yes, this is personal; I would say it's been nice knowing you, but then I would be lying."
Yamato stomped on my back again to damage me and then used more power to kick me up. He took the sword in both hands and slashed down, aiming at my neck; however, a bright light suddenly flashed between us and somehow stopped the attack and blew Yamato back. I fell back to the ground and looked at the light. I could hear something from it. I stood up and slowly proceeded to it, as if it was calling to me. I placed my hand next to it and felt its warmth.
"Hm, thank you," I stated smiling. I heard footsteps coming towards me and turned to see Yamato. He had the sword resting against his shoulder as he proceeded forward. He stopped about halfway and stared at the light.
"So she's protecting you huh? Oh well, I guess you got lucky this time. After I deal with her, I'll be coming for you. Until then," he stated. Yamato started dematerialize along with the sword's sinister aura.
"Wait a minute; why are you out to get me? What have I done to make you kill me?" I interrogated. He closed his eyes.
"Sorrow, jealousy, anger," Yamato told me. That was all he said before fully dematerializing.
"Damn it; and I still don't know what he meant," I said. I looked at the little ball of light, but it was running around me like crazy.
"Darkness hides in the light, waiting for the right moment to strike. When the light is most vulnerable, darkness will rise and take control," it stated.
Suddenly, it expanded and covered the entire place. Next thing I know, I'm back in my room at the inn looking up at the ceiling. I sat up and held my head with my hand.
'What was that?' I wondered. 'I'm the reason why he's here? Who's she; and why does he keep saying those words? And what was that about darkness and light.'
I put my hand down and felt someone's hair. I looked beside me and saw Matsu sleeping like a baby. I smiled at her and kissed her forehead, causing her to move around and open her eyes. She sat up and yawned then smiled at me.
"Good morning Ren," she greeted.
"Morning Matsu," I greeted back. Matsu closed her eyes.
"How about a good morning kiss?" She suggested. I didn't even respond and she pressed her lips to mine, eliciting her wings to grow and flash. She broke the kiss and put her glasses on. She then pushed me on my back and pinned me down. She caressed my cheek and brought her face closer.
"I had a dream last night, where you and I finally had sex. And while we can't do that here, we can still stimulate the senses."
We kissed again and then separated to breathe. Matsu straddled herself on my stomach.
"So how did you sleep?"
I put my hands behind my head and thought of Yamato.
"Well, I found out some stuff about that person and the alternate world," I told her.
"I already know about the world so tell me about the person. What did the person look like?" Matsu asked. I tightened my fists, thinking about what would've happened if that light didn't appear and save me.
"The person; was me," I revealed. She gasped at my response.
"Hold on; I don't understand. The person who attacked you, was you?" Matsu asked. I nodded my head yes and told her what happened.
"Hmmmm, he really has it out for you. Judging by what you told me, I can conclude that he is a clone of you. An alternate you I should say. While you both share the same qualities, you each have one thing that's different. That I'm afraid I don't know; and I think only you can figure that out," Matsu explained. "What about your headaches; have they ceased?"
I rubbed my head and told her my answer.
"For now they have; but I have a feeling they'll return. Yamato said after he deals with her that I would be next. Question is."
"Who is she?" Matsu and I asked at the same time. We continued discussing the dream and then went downstairs to the others and ate breakfast. After eating, I dialed my uncle and told him what the girls wanted for the rebuilding of our house. Now I was talking to Takehito about the same dream. I explained what I saw and what happened.
"I honestly can't say I know Ren. I'm just as confused as you are; but from what you told me, Matsu is right about the alternate you thing. My guess is; if you can figure out what makes you different, you will know the rest," he told me.
"I see. Thanks for the help Takehito; I appreciate it," I replied. He nodded his head.
"My pleasure; and now let me ask you something. The third phase will initiate soon. What are you planning to do about it?" He questioned. "Like I said before, you and Jason may end up fighting each other. And I've seen how close you two are; you two are practically like brothers. But if it comes to it, will you fight him?"
The air was silent. Takehito was looking at me with a serious expression. I could feel his eyes trying to go through me, wanting to know my answer.
"I… still don't know. I don't want to fight him; and at the same time, I don't want our sekirei to fight either," I replied. I put my fingers together and put my hand in front of my mouth.
"Can you explain everything about the third phase? I want to know how these battles are going to be settled."
Takehito looked at the ground.
"The third phase will consist of three types of battles. There will be a free for all battle, a one on one battle, and a scavenger hunt. In order to win the combat battles, you must defeat your opponent's sekirei. As for the scavenger hunt, all you have to do is find a certain item, but you have to be the first to claim it. I have also heard about something new Minaka will be throwing in. I don't know the full details but it deals entirely on the ashikabis," he elaborated. "At the end, whichever ashikabis have their sekirei still functioning will move on to the final phase. There, it's every ashikabi for themselves. Only one can walk out the winner. So, what will you do knowing this now Ren?"
I thought about it, but didn't like the results.
"I still don't want to fight; and I'm sure Jason feels the same way. I mean, why should sekirei have to kill one another just to stay with their loved one. It isn't fair to anybody. Humans and sekirei are being separated because of this game; and progressing forward will only cause more sekirei to die," I replied. Takehito sighed and closed his eyes.
"I know how you feel Ren; I wish this wasn't happening either. That's why; I've been working on a plan to end this. It will take some time to get everything properly settled. So in the meantime, just continue to participate. I'll have Matsu and Seo help me out so it hopefully won't take long to finish," he told me. I nodded in agreement.
"I'll leave it to you three then," I said. He leaned back in the chair and sighed in relief.
"Now I can focus on the matter at hand," Takehito replied. He stood up and stretched out.
"If you'll excuse, I have to get ready."
"Ready for what?" I asked. He looked back at me smiling.
"My date with Miya; it's our anniversary today," he stated.
"Oh; well have fun then. And don't,"
He then covered my mouth.
"Remember, she has the eyes of a hawk. But don't worry; I knew what you were about to say," he whispered. I nodded and he let me go.
"And remember to find out more about that dream of yours."
"Gotcha," I replied. He left the room and I began thinking.
'Why does Yamato want to kill me? What did I do to piss him off so much; and how does he know what happened between my parents and me? Does he know more?' I pondered. 'How much does he know?'
"Umm, Ren?" someone called out. My thoughts were broken and I turned to see who called. I saw Toyotama leaning against the wall.
"Hey Toyotama; is something wrong?" I asked her. She nodded yes and pointed towards the living room.
"I think there's something wrong with Musubi," she told me. I just tilted my head.
"What's the problem?" I asked. She just shrugged her shoulders.
"I have no clue; you're gonna have to see for yourself," Toyotama replied. I followed her to the living room, where we found Musubi hugging herself. My other sekirei were standing around her trying to see what's wrong.
"Musubi, what's the matter?" I asked her.
"We don't know. She's been like this for a while now. All she keeps saying is, 'Make it stop; it's too painful.' It's starting to freak me out," Uzume told me. I walked up to Musubi and tilted her head up.
"Musubi, tell me what's troubling you," I told her. She jumped at me and wrapped her arms around me. I rubbed her head and looked at the others, whom shrugged their shoulders. That's when it came to me.
'Wait a minute; what if the girl Yamato is referring to, is Yume? It makes sense when I think about it. The light that showed up and saved me must have been her. That's one thing figured out, but what about the rest?' I wondered. I looked down at Musubi, who seemed to have calmed down.
"Are you feeling better Musubi?"
"Mmm-hmm," she replied with a nod.
"Ren; I think we should tell them," Matsu stated. I nodded in agreement.
"Tell us what?" Yomi asked. I told them about my dream and about what Yamato told me. When I finished, Yomi, Uzume, and Toyotama started laughing at me.
"Okay; I'm sorry, but there's no way some 'alternate you' has arrived to kill you. That's just crazy," Uzume stated.
"You seriously have the weirdest dreams. I mean another Ren wanting to kill you. Who dreams of something like that; and then some light ball saves you. That's some imagination you have," Toyotama said.
"I'm telling the truth; I had a dream about it," I repeated. I was about to continue, but there was a sudden shock in my head. I held my head with both hands and dropped to my knees. That's when the shock intensified and caused me to be in pain. I screamed in agony once again and squirmed on the floor. The girls gathered around me with I assume were worried expressions.
"Ren," the girls called out.
"Oh no; Ren, is he trying to take over?" Matsu asked. I couldn't answer from being in so much pain.
'ARRRGHH! NO! I won't let you! NO! ARRRRGHHH!' I screamed in my head. It was too intense and I couldn't hold out much longer. My eyes shot open and the pain stopped. I felt exhausted and lay on the ground. That's when I noticed the change in scenery. I stood up and scanned the area. Soon, I got another chronic headache and dropped back to my knees. It was even more excruciating than last time. The pain was getting worse by the minute, and I couldn't do anything to stop it.
'Damn it! Why am I in so much pain?! I can't stand it!' I mentally screamed. The pain finally subsided and I could think clearly again. I finally looked at the area I was in and noticed that it was the same area of my dream. I tightened my fists and gritted my teeth.
"Yamato get out here you bastard!" I shouted. There was no response, which made me irritated. I shouted again, but there was still no response. I ran through the place, searching for him; but I couldn't find him.
"Yamato! I know you're there, so get out here!"
Everything was in total silence. I heard something in the distance and turned my head to see what's happening. There was a small hill rising so I ran to check it out, only to see Yume in tears. I ran to her and put my hand on her shoulders.
"Yume; are you okay? Speak to me."
She looked up at me with stream of tears falling down her cheeks.
"Make it go away Ren; it's too pain. There's too much pain; I can't handle it. Please, make it stop," she told me. I placed her head on my shoulder and embraced her.
"It's going to be okay Yume; I'm here for you. I'll make it all go away; I make the pain stop," I replied. I kissed her forehead, and she started disappearing. Yume looked at me with a happy smile.
"Thank you," she whispered. Her presence vanished and I could feel a sickening presence as a result, telling me that he's here. I turned around and saw a black fog approaching and heard footsteps echoing. The fog dispersed and Yamato appeared with his arms crossed.
"I'm surprised; you to call me out. You're braver than I thought; especially how I almost killed you last time," Yamato stated. I glared him angrily.
"I've figured it out," I told him. "I know what you meant now."
"Oh?" Yamato said. I nodded my head.
"Yes, I know more about you now. The girl you were talking about was Yume. She is light; and you are darkness. I don't know what you did to her, but I'm not going to let you hurt her any longer," I declared. That caused Yamato to start laughing. He smiled at me.
"So you've figured that out; but you're forgetting the main fact," he replied and held out his hand. The aura came together again and the same katana formed. Yamato took hold of the blade and suddenly disappeared. I didn't move from my spot and felt Yamato's back against mine. I could also feel the blade rest against my shoulder.
"She was here to save you last time; but this time, it's just you and me."
"What did you to do to my Yume?" I interrogated. Yamato chuckled.
"Oh nothing; I just made her heart cry," he stated. "She can't stand pain, so all I had to do was get her to look into my eyes and show her what pain truly meant."
My eyes narrowed in anger, and I held out my hand.
'If he can do it, then so can I.' I said in my head. I concentrated intensely. I looked deep inside myself until I found the source. There was a small blue spark, but I continued concentrating. Soon, the spark turned into flames and my azure aura flowed around me.
"So you managed to tap into it; this should be interesting," Yamato stated. I tried my hardest to move my aura in place. When I succeeded, I formed my own katana. Yamato and I started moving away from each other. We took about ten steps and after instincts kicked in; we turned around and slashed the swords. Sparks generated as we collided with each other and held the other at bay.
"You shouldn't manipulate a maiden's heart," I warned him.
"Think you can take me?" Yamato questioned.
"Let's find out," I answered. We jumped back and held the swords vertically. We watched the other, studying the other's movements. I stepped forward, and Yamato rushed at me. He was running low to the ground to pick up speed and horizontally swung the blade. I swung the opposite way and met his attack. My defenses however were temporarily broken, allowing Yamato to bypass and get up close. He thrust the sword at my neck, but I dove out of the way and quickly got back to my feet. I charged at him and he followed.
"HAAAAAAAAAA!" We cried as my blue and his black aura covered our blades. We did an overhead slash and our swords collided. The collision caused an explosion to erupt and send us both back. We looked up at each other and shifted our feet, chanting our words, and causing our auras to once again flow around us. We ran at sonic speed and repeated slashed our swords. We stayed on the other, not letting up an inch. We fought at sonic speed, making sparks fly everywhere and shockwaves erupt all around. I slashed and he blocked then we dashed to another location, alternating slashes and blocks.
Yamato and I collided once more, causing another shock wave. I struggled to hold him back. He pushed forward and broke my defenses again. Taking the chance, Yamato rushed at me, but went right past me. As a result, a large amount of blood gushed from my shoulder. The pain quickly surfaced and I held the gash with my hand.
"Sorrow, jealousy, anger; your emotions gave way to creation," Yamato stated. I moved away from him, letting the blood pour all over the ground.
"What do you mean? Tell me!" I demanded. He sighed and shook his head. He then swung the sword to wipe off the blood.
"You still don't get it do you? Then I'll tell you so you'll die knowing. I was created from your negative emotions and was forced to walk a different path," Yamato revealed. He held up a finger.
"Sorrow; the way you felt when your parents neglected you and the way you thought about them."
He held up another finger.
"Jealousy; how you felt about your brothers and what it did to you."
Yamato raised a third finger.
"And anger; your parents neglect, your brothers' shadow; it tore you up inside and changed you. I was created from those emotions and had to endure those emotions for a long time without any changes. You could say; I am what you use to be but grown up."
I was astonished. He couldn't be serious, but he knows everything so he must be telling the truth. I didn't want to believe it. Without warning, Yamato ran at me and horizontally slashed the katana. I noticed in time and blocked the attack, but Yamato was stronger and he pushed me back. I looked back up, but Yamato was gone. There was a black aura running in circles around me.
"What is this?" I asked. That's when I heard continuous slashes. There were silver streaks coming at me. I met the streaks accordingly, but some were too advance to block and I ended up being hit. Blood started flying all directions and the only other thing you could hear beside the slashes were my screams of pain. I tried moving back, but was immediately cut in the back and fell forward. I used my hand to keep myself up as more and more blood fell to the ground.
'How is he so strong? It's like he's always a step ahead of me.' I said in thought. My ears picked up running footsteps, causing me to act. I heard something grind against the floor and grabbed my blade. I turned myself around, swinging the sword to gain more power. On the turnaround, I was met with Yamato's sword.
"So you're still kicking; I'm impressed," he said. He began pushing the sword forward while pushing me back at the same time. He forced me to stand on my knees,
"Why…are you stronger than me? Shouldn't we be…evenly…matched?" I struggled to ask. BAM! I was kneed in the stomach so hard that I spit up blood and slid across the ground. My katana flew up in the air; but upon descent, Yamato caught it and looked at me with menacing eyes. He flipped the blade and tossed it back up in the air. With the other katana, he slashed mine and completely shattered it. The azure aura used to make it disintegrated into nothing.
"You're dead wrong if you thought we were evenly matched," he told me. Yamato kicked me to roll me over and pointed one of the blade at my face.
"We are in no terms equal; I am stronger."
"But how? We should have the same strength if we're the same being," I stated. Yamato shook his head. "How else can you use my ashikabi ability if you're not an ashikabi?"
"I keep telling you, we went down separate paths; however, our paths also correspond," Yamato answered. "I went down a dark path filled with nothing except pain, sorrow, and anger. I had to endure all of that and have grown stronger because of it."
He got on his knees and grabbed me by the collar.
"I had to endure so much pain, but you found your salvation. I had to take care of myself while you had others to care for you. I've grown stronger to protect myself while you rely on some useless talent. I've had no happy experience, but you get have someone there for you. You get to have someone who loves you; and I get nothing!"
My eyes widened at Yamato's words.
"Sorrow, jealousy, and anger; I see it now. You were sad because no one cared about you in your path. You're jealous of my life; and you're angry because I get to experience what you could never," I explained. I looked deep into his eyes and saw everything that happened to him. He was all alone with no one there for him. I continued looking, but,
"So that's the difference between you and me. That's the reason why I can't stand you. You left me with this life and I can't do anything to change it. No matter how hard I try all it is pain, sorrow, and anger. You get lead a happy life and I get the negative shit! So now I'm gonna make you experience the same pain."
"Wait a minute," I tried pleading, but he grabbed my face with his hand and slammed my head on the ground. He pressed down hard to keep me captive. I grabbed his arm to pull him away, but his grip was to strong and the damage I've taken made me weaker.
"You've caught a glimpse into my realm; but you're about to live it," Yamato stated. The same black sinister aura appeared and something started phasing into me. It made my heart beat faster and my eyes shake in fear. It was colder than Akitsu's ice and it steadily flowed through me. Suddenly,
"AAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!" I screamed in agonizing, excruciating, tormenting, and heartbreaking pain. I squirmed to remove Yamato's hand, but it was no use; I even tried kicking, but he blocked each kick with his free hand. My heart was beating even faster as if it was about to explode. My eyes, they were in tears from the pain as it rose to a higher peak.
"AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!"
I kept squirming, trying to get loose. Yamato hasn't said a single word as I scream in anguish, writhing on the ground. Sweat covered my forehead and fell down the side of my face, mixing with my tears. My breathes came out sharp and shallow. One last time, I tried to remove Yamato's hand, using all my strength. I concentrated intensely and kept trying; but it failed again. I still didn't give up though and tried again. That's when the place started shaking vehemently, forcing Yamato to move his hand and me to lay my head on the cold ground.
"What's going on? Why is the place shaking?" Yamato questioned. I could feel the floor move me around and could hear Yamato's voice in the distance. My eyes refused to open even when I was being called.
"Ren wake up! Please, wake up! Wake up, wake up, wake up damn it; Ren wake up," someone repeated.
"He's not waking up; this is bad," another person said. I slightly moved my hand to make sure everything was real. There was no pain or anything. I mumbled softly, eliciting a sharp gasp in the room. Slowly, I opened my eyes and saw the ceiling and bright warm light. I looked at my hands and repeatedly opened and closed them.
"There's…no pain. I'm…alive?" I asked. I sat up and continued looking at my hand surprised. I felt a slight sting on my shoulder.
"Was the pain real; or was it just my imagination?"
I heard a weeping sound and looked up, only to see all my sekirei standing in front of me with tears forming in their eyes. I stood up and held my arms out.
"Come here girls," I told them. That was all they needed to hear before they ran towards me and wrapped me in a tight embrace. I kept my balance and returned their hug.
"I'm so sorry for worrying you girls; I'm so sorry."
They looked at me with worried eyes.
"Are you okay; and tell us the truth," Uzume stated.
"I…don't know really. I can't explain what happened," I told them. I held my head with my hand.
"After that painful headache, I somehow ended up facing Yamato. Now I know why he's here; and it's time to put an end to it. Where are the others?"
"Jason went with his sekirei to the park; and Miya and Takehito have already left for their anniversary. They left before you passed out and said to take care of the house.
"Okay, then it's the perfect time to settle this," I told them. I proceeded to the door, but Akitsu stood in the way and blocked the exit. I was surprised by her sudden action. I looked at the others and saw a serious look on their faces.
"What's the matter? Why are you blocking the door?"
Akitsu continued to look at me; however, she was glaring daggers. The temperature slowly decreased, getting colder and colder.
"Akitsu, why are you glaring at me?"
Without moving her hands, she conjured up a shard of ice.
"You are not my master," she stated. My eyes widened in surprise. That's when I turned my head and finally noticed that I was still in the dark place.
"What the; I never left? So all that was Yamato and not me?" I said to myself. I looked at my hands and then looked through what I assume were my eyes. I could see my sekirei glaring at me. I probably won't be able to communicate with my sekirei so all I can do is watch.
"What are you talking about Akitsu? What do you mean I'm not Ren?" Yamato questioned. Akitsu pointed at him.
"You are an impersonator," she stated. "My master has a different aura about him; and it's not as foul as the one emanating from you. You give off a different vibe than my master, which is how I knew it wasn't him."
'Excellent observation Akitsu,' I said to myself. Suddenly, Yamato started laughing at Akitsu's observation.
"So you've figured it out," he stated. "Without me having to say a word you managed to figure out the difference between us. I applaud you."
"What have you done with my master?" Akitsu interrogated. Yamato crossed his arms and smiled at her.
"Tell us what you've done with our ashikabi," Toyotama ordered. They all had their weapons and were ready to strike. Yamato started shaking his head.
"Sorrow, jealousy, and anger, the three most powerful negative emotions; your ashikabi has experienced these emotions nearly all his life," he told them.
"What do you mean nearly all his life?" Yomi asked.
"Of course; I get it now!" Matsu declared. Everyone's focus shot towards her as she fixed her glasses.
"Those were the same feelings Ren felt for his family a long time ago."
"He did?" Uzume questioned. Matsu nodded her head.
"You, Yomi, Kazehana, and Toyotama weren't his when Ren told the rest of us his past. All the emotions he felt were those three exactly," Matsu explained. "But that doesn't explain how this guy came into existence."
I don't care how he was born. No one messes with my Ren and gets away with it," Yomi declared. She ran at Yamato and swung her scythe; however, Yamato caught her arm and stopped the blade inches away from his face.
"Hahahahaha, you forgot one thing. This is Ren's, your ashikabi, body; and sekirei aren't allowed to kill their ashikabis," he told Yomi. Her eyes expanded, as did the others.
"How do you know about sekirei?" Tskumi interrogated. Yamato smirked a little.
"How else would I know? I am after all Ren's former self. Our lives correspond so that when something happens to him, I will know and vice versa," he replied. Yamato leg sweep Yomi, who used her hands to land herself. Yamato then jumped out the window and rolled on the ground floor to take away fall damage. The girls dropped down after him.
Yamato looked at the sky smiling, seeing the sun shine high and the wind blowing a nice breeze and aroma.
"So this is his path; it's a lot brighter than mine that's for sure."
"Hey! Give back our Ren," Uzume commanded. Yamato turned sideways and looked at the girls.
"I'm afraid he's in pain at the moment," he said. Yamato was right on that one. The whole time, I've been feeling various levels of pain. Some mild and some that were just plain excruciating.
"You're hurting him?" Toyotama questioned angrily.
"Not just him," Yamato said. He pointed at Musubi, making her gasp a little.
"I also have her as well."
"Huh? How can you have Musubi when she's standing right here?" Uzume asked. Yamato smiled and turned back around.
"I guess he hasn't told you yet; I bet he hasn't told you a lot of things actually," he responded. "That just makes this all the more interesting."
"Enough! I've had enough of your nonsense. Give Ren back now," Tskumi demanded. Yamato faced the girls and lost the smile. His spread his feet apart and crouched low to the ground. He put his arms in an x and concentrated. His black aura appeared around him as he continued to concentrate.
There was something happening to me. My body was starting to dematerialize itself until I was nothing left. Then, I was soaring through some kind of hyperspace. There was sudden darkness and then a single light at the end. After I crossed it, my entire being began rematerializing. Once the final materials joined together, I was back to normal with all my parts attached. The first thing I did was look at my limbs, making sure they were in the correct places.
"So am I really back? Or is this another trick?" I asked aloud.
"Ren!" Multiple people called out. I quickly turned around, only to be jumped by sekirei and wrapped in a tight embrace. I did my best to hold my footing and hugged them as tight as I could.
"Is everyone all right?" I asked them.
"You damn right we are," Yomi stated.
"Looks like you were telling the truth about this alternate you. Now we have a bone to pick with it for hurting you," Toyotama spoke up. I nodded my head and turned around, but I was surprised to be looking at myself again. I was to get a clear look at Yamato and vice versa.
"Now that you're here, we can settle this once and for all; and this time, it's for keeps," he said taking a fighting stance. I tightened my fists and glared at him.
"On your path, you learned to take care of and protect yourself. I guess our paths really do correspond. However, my path is brighter than yours will ever be; it doesn't matter what you do to me. My path will infinitely be better than yours," I stated. I turned sideways and pointed at my sekirei.
"And they are the reason why my path is more special than yours."
Yamato smirk again.
"Then let's see how your path will turn out when I finish you," Yamato stated. With the final words said and done, we stand apart, glaring at the other. I held my hand out and Yamato proceeded forward.
"Let's go!" We shouted with my sekirei charging at him.
A/N: Here it is guys, the next chapter; I had fun writing this one. I'm sorry if I'm uploading a little later than normal, but I've been very busy lately and tried to write what I could. Now you all know what the importance of destroying their house was. Anger can be a powerful emotion. I want to thank those who sent me ideas for a new story and house ideas; but let me be more specific with the story. I want the story to be about sekirei; I will choose another show to do if I can; but I really appreciate the suggestions. And let me know if you want anything specific in the story and I will try to accommodate. Well, without anything left to say, this has been MalevolentDarkness16; and I will see you guys next time.
