Author's Note: Welcome to another great chapter of my famous story, The fight within! I have a few important messages, so make sure you read them.
1. Updates are going to be very slow. School has started, and homework seems to be coming home every day. (Prepare to not see any updates in weeks and maybe even months.)
2. Make sure you try to fight for another season/seasons of Voltron Force.
3. Please read my other Voltron Force story, Snapped. It's about Daniel and his haggarium infection. It's a really good fanfic!
Now that, that's out of the way... Enjoy!
Chapter: 14 Can I really trust you?
Lily POV
I ran. I ran as fast as I could.
Oh, my, gosh! Oh, my, gosh! Oh, my, gosh! He's going to kill me! He's going to kill me! My brother was actually going to murder me!
I dashed around the corner, in fear for my life. The ground was still soft from the heavy rain of last night's storm, which caused the ground to be slippery. My shoes splashed into a mud puddle, but I ignored it.
Why wasn't he fighting it? He told me that his urge was controllable. Why did he have an urge in the first place?
Because of my powers.
The thought came too quickly for it to be my own, and it also sounded a lot like Daniel's voice.
I choked up on my own breath. This was too much running for a five year old. My tiny legs were burning from the few days of being on the run. It wasn't even this bad when the mean big kids at the orphanage were chasing me.
One of Daniel's claw shot's whizzed past me, burying into the tree trunk next to me.
Right now I really wanted to be back on Earth. I wanted my mommy and daddy. I wanted my parents to hold me and tell me that I am safe in their arms. I wanted my brother to not kill me.
I looked behind me and he was indeed after me.
Turning my attention back to the front, I ran mindlessly in any direction. The cluster of trees and high roots, started to slow me down.
Run! Run! Run! Run! Run! I coached myself. Run as fast as you can!
I leaped over a root, but I wasn't so fortunate on the next. I tripped and bumped into a tree.
I got up and was about to make my next move, when a barrage of claw shots blocked all of my exits.
I was trapped.
As he approached me, everything about him was different. He looked worn out and troubled. His body was shaking and his eyes were so filled with pain. It was enough to get a bad vibe from him. The persona that he emitted was very unsettling.
"Lily", Daniel said timidly swaying from side to side. It was as if he was on drugs. "Y-yes", I replied back hesitantly? He gripped his stomach in agony. "I'm so sorry", he said.
He then let out a cry of pain, and came charging at me. I closed my eyes, bracing my self.
This is the end.
I reluctantly opened up my eyes to slit and saw a flash of blue.
No strike came.
This time I opened my eyes all the way and saw Larmina and Vince. Then I looked to the ground and saw a knocked out Daniel.

Daniel POV
I woke up with a massive head ache. The source of light provided by the window next to me blinded me. Wait! A window?
I rubbed my eyes and surveyed my surroundings. A desk, a mirror, a chair, a dresser, a few shelves, I was in a bed, and the window.
How did I get here?
"Glad to see you're awake", said Larmina from the door. I looked at her, as she walked over to the bed I was in and sat down beside me.
"Where am I", I asked sitting up? "Nanny's house", Larmina answered. "And how", I said totally confused? "You do remember me saying that I knew a place not too far away, right", she said? I nodded. "Well, nanny's home was the safe place."
I downcasted my eyes in thought. "How long was I out", I inquired after a minute? "A day and a half."
A day and a half!
My expression went from confused to shocked. How could it have been that long?
"Sorry about that", Larmina apologized. "You should have seen yourself. You were actually going to kill your sister. She was so scared. I had to do something."
She put a hand on my shoulder. "It's not your fault." "Then who's is it", I replied back? "I couldn't control it. I lost my ability to contain the urge. Lily could have died right there! I could have killed her! And...!"
I broke off. Kristine and the Demanous people would love to see me in this state right now. THEY all would laugh in my face.
Larmina gave me a look of sympathy.
"So", she said in a tone of changing the subject. "Are you hungry? Nanny hasn't too long made Helania cakes and sweet sauce." "What's that", I asked? Arusian food could be so different sometimes. "Basically your average Earth pancakes and syrup", she explained. "It doesn't have any Arusain anchovies in it", I said? I did not want any live fish in my food.
She raised an eyebrow at me. "Only if you want it to", she said with a smirk. I couldn't help but smile.
Larmina grabbed my arm and led me to the kitchen. Vince, Lily, and Nanny, were at the table eating. Even Sven's son was in a high chair picking at his pancake.
Lily ate ravenously, as syrup dripped from her chin. Nanny quickly got a napkin and wiped it off.
"Hey Daniel", said Vince. "I'm happy to see you're up." "Yeah", I said. "Me too."
Nanny gave me a warm smile. "Nice to see you awake", she said coming over to give me a hug. "Thanks", I said returning the embrace.
"It wasn't easy", she replied. "Larmina wacked you really good. We were lucky enough to have you partly conscious. I had to give you water very slowly." "And I appreciate that", I replied a little bit awkwardly.
I saw Lily glance at me, but only for a second. After Nanny released me, I made my way over to my sister.
When I got near her, she shifted uncomfortably. I pretended not to notice. "Hey", I said. She eyed me suspiciously. I knew that I had lost her trust.
"Nanny", she said. "Can I use your colorful pens and draw a picture?" Nanny looked between the two. Larmina and Vince had told her about the sibling's tough relationship. "Of course", she said. "I have some on the table in the middle of the living room." "Thank you", said Lily completely ignoring me.
I sighed as she left.
"She hates me", I said aloud defeated. "I ruined it. I let THEM and everyone get to me and I lost control... And it's all because of my stupid powers!"
"Daniel, don't be so hard on yourself", reasoned Vince. "By what you have told us, it didn't seem like you could have held it in for that long." "But I did", I argued. "I could have stopped it." "How", said Larmina? "Kristine had this all planned out. SHE knew that this was going to happen." "Yeah, but...", I said, but I couldn't deny that.
Kristine did have this all figured out. SHE knew that I couldn't contain the urge any longer. SHE had plotted everything untill it was perfect.
I was speechless.
"It's going to get better", said Nanny. "You'll see."
I didn't reply back. But I just hoped that she was right.
Kristine POV
Things were going a lot better than I had thought. The Voltron force was under my control, and the Demanousons still had their blind loyalty to me. Daniel had actually lost his will to control the urge. Everything was going flawlessly.
"You", I said pointing to a near by Demanouson. "Prepare for phase two. It's time to make our next move."
And finally I can have Daniel.
Daniel POV
I quietly watched Lily play with Sven's son from the other side of the room. The others had respectfully left me alone. I wasn't really in the mood to be around a group of people, anyways. All I wanted to do was be with my sister. Or at least be as close as I can without the pain. It's not like it would make a difference, though. Lily still wouldn't trust me.
I felt something pull at my pants leg. I looked down and saw the baby boy tugging at it. Was I really so deep in thought not to notice him crawling towards me?
"Get back here", said Lily standing up. She put her hands on her hips. "Bad baby. You need to come back right now. It's not safe to be around him."
I smirked at her chiding the baby like it was a dog, but it also made my heart drop at her distrust for me.
She stumped over and pulled Sven's son off of me. He let out a small whine, but didn't protest any further.
"Lily", I said. "Please forgive me." "Never", she snapped! "You tried to kill me. You wanted me gone so that you wouldn't have to feel anymore pain. Tell me the truth, Daniel! Do you really want to kill me?" "No", I screamed back! "I don't!" "Liar", she yelled!
Lily took her foot and kicked me on the leg. I let out a yelp at the impact. For a tiny girl, she had a strong kick.
I shot her a dirty look, and she pouted at me.
"You keep apologizing and you want me to trust you", started Lily. "But can I really trust you? Can I?"
And with that she stormed off with the infant trailing behind her, leaving me with nothing, but my own grief.
Yes, chapter fourteen is done! It was pretty good, if you ask me.
P.S. Nanny, in this story is going to be the Voltron force version. In the show she seemed to be very kind and gentle, unlike in the original version when she was very strict.
