Chapter 41: The Operation
I continued waiting for Ren to pick up Chiho, who was sitting in her bed in waiting.
"Alright Chiho; Ren is on his way. The enemy attacked his house so he may be late," I told her.
"Is everyone okay?" She asked.
"Oh yeah, it'll take a lot more to take them down," I replied with a goofy smile. She couldn't help but giggle and then let out a sigh. "Unfortunately, we have to move quicker because of the wasted time; but with Ren's speed, we should have plenty of time."
"Okay," she said softly. I sat down next to her.
"You okay? How are you feeling?"
"I'm fine, just a little nervous…, and scared," she responded nervously. "I mean you're all risking your lives for me. You're all going to great lengths to cure me; I'm really happy about that don't get me wrong. But why though?"
"What other do we need?" I asked back. She looked at me.
"Jason, you haven't known me for long; but Ren and Uzume have. They know how critical my condition is."
"I do too; but that doesn't mean you can't have another person in your life."
She gasped softly and turned back to me.
"We're friends here, and friends help each other."
"Yes, but still…"
"You consider Ren your father, and like one, he's rushing here to help you," I interrupted. "I'm your friend and I'm here helping you."
"And I'm glad for your help," she said. I placed my hand on top of hers.
"And we'll always be there to help. No matter what, we'll keep you safe."
"Really?" She whispered. I smiled and nodded.
"Nice pep talk," someone stated. We looked at the door and saw Ren has finally arrived. Chiho smiled happily and walked to hug him.
"You okay?" He asked her.
"Mm-hmm," she replied with a nod.
"How's the situation?" I asked.
"Not so good; my team had to split up so half of mine remained at the house to fend off the enemy," he replied.
"Then I'll send half of mine to give them the edge," I suggested. That's when Homura walked in.
"Just send me," she stated. I walked over to her.
"Are you sure?"
"Positive," she replied confidently. I nodded to her and gave her a kiss goodbye, causing her to turn red.
P.O.V Change Ren
I watched Homura leave after Jason's farewell present. I looked at Chiho.
"Chiho, it's time to leave now. Are you ready?"
"I'm ready," she said. I activated the earpiece and went to Matsu's channel.
"Matsu, how are things going at the house?"
"ALRIGHT YOU FUCKERS, WHO ELSE WANTS SOME?!" She screamed with gunfire blasting like crazy. I quickly got off the channel.
"How's it going?" Jason asked. I didn't respond at first.
"Jason, remind me never to piss off my sekirei."
"Uh, okay? I'm not even going to ask," he responded. I opened the window and called out to Uzume. I picked Chiho up bridal style and jumped out, but Uzume used her veils to catch us safely. She ran to us and gave Chiho a big hug.
"Are you alright?"
"I'm fine; don't worry," she replied. "Thank you."
"Anytime, but we have to move," Uzume pointed out. I nodded and offered Chiho a piggyback ride.
"Get on Chiho and hold on as tight as you can."
She reluctantly hopped on my back and wrapped her arms around my neck.
"How much time do we have?"
"About an hour left," Uzume said. Jason walked out with the rest of his sekirei.
"Are we all set?" I asked. Everyone nodded, and I began chanting again.
"You guys cover me; I'm the biggest target. Kazehana, you stay with me since you can keep up. I'll count on you for support."
"Anything you say darling, I'll do it," she replied. I nodded and was about to take off, but,
"Wait," Chiho stated. "I just want to say thank you all for everything. You have no idea how much this means to me. I'm in your debt; thank you."
"Hm, thank us after we cure you," I replied. With that said, I took off with Kazehana right beside me. The moment we separated from the others, we were immediately attacked on all sides. Kazehana summoned up a twister as a shield and blew the attacks away. The enemy was still there though and more appeared soon afterwards; but Jason and my team fended them off for us to escape. With my speed, I had to jump, duck, and outrun most obstacles. While Kazehana and I were side by side, she used her powers to protect Chiho and me.
"Chiho, how are you holding up? I know it's rough, but please try to tough it out."
She didn't respond and tightened her grip. Suddenly, we were blocked by a large group of sekirei and ashikabi. Sneaking past them was futile, but I quickly managed to come up with a plan.
"Kazehana, take Chiho and hide close by; I'm going to draw their fire so you can get past them."
"Or I can just do this," she said summoning up her wind and blowing the enemies away in one move.
"Or you can just do that; I sometimes forget how strong you are," I replied. She couldn't help but giggle.
"Never underestimate a single number."
We continued traversing through the capital to reach the tallest structure it holds; but another large group of enemies blocked the entrance. One of the ashikabis yelled out,
"There they are!"
Another stated, "Let's get 'em."
They all charged at us, until a fierce bolt of lightning crashed down and blew them away. As smoke rise, I just laughed at the situation.
"They certainly know how to make an entrance."
Out from the smoke, the lightning twins appeared, their fingers intertwined and their hands generating static.
"Glad you two could help; but where's Seo?"
"He's with his old friend and his scary wife," Hibiki responded.
"But they threatened him into sending us so here we are. We're at your call, just don't try any funny business," Hikari warned me. I had to laugh again.
"Um, I think my hands are tied to do anything so you don't have to worry about me; but I really appreciate the help."
I proceeded towards the entrance, but first commented on Hikari's warning.
"Plus between the two of you, I would prefer Hibiki more."
I kept walking and gave said Hibiki a playful wink, causing her to laugh softly. Soon, my team finally caught up and we all ventured into M.B.I. We started at the base floor, but found it completely empty. The entire floor was quiet.
"This is it, now all we have to do is make it to the top."
"What do you think is waiting for us?" Uzume asked.
"Troops, traps, and the Discipline Squad," I answered. "So we have to be extra careful."
"Then how do we approach the situation?" Toyotama asked. Before I could respond, the intercom activated.
"Hell; Ren Zonin and Co.; I see that you finally arrived," Minaka stated.
"Did you expect anything less of me?" I asked back, causing him to do his signature laugh.
"That's what I like about you Ren of the North; you take on any challenge and somehow manage to beat the odds. But let me add one more obstacle. Your main objective is to deliver Ms. Hidaka to me; however, I have a surprise. On one of these floors, your uncle is held up somewhere."
"What?" I stated. "You captured my uncle?"
I gritted my teeth.
"Why you…"
"Don't worry; I have not harmed him in any way, but I can't say the same for Karasuba. Now then, the question is which path will you choose? Will you save your uncle or continue with your main mission. You have the remainder of the time left so make it count. Good luck," he stated, ending his announcement. I didn't even have to think to respond.
"Uzume, you, Toyotama, and Kazehana take Chiho and continue going up. Musubi and the twins will stay with me while we search for my uncle. Are we agreed?"
"No, you head to the top with Chiho; we'll look for your uncle," Uzume stated. I faced them, only to be kissed by Toyotama and Kazehana.
"Good luck; I love you," Toyotama stated.
"Stay safe darling; I love you," Kazehana announced. Uzume gave me her kiss as well and hugged me.
"Stay safe, look after Chiho, and you better not have a single scratch on you, understand?"
"Yes my faithful wife," I teased. She nodded and hugged Chiho next.
"Be safe Uzume," she told her.
"I will; listen to Ren and do exactly what he tells you," Uzume responded. After a second hug, the three went on ahead; but the elevators weren't operating and we all had to take the stairs. Everyone hurried up the stairs; but then lasers started blasting everything it hit and split us up. We were in the assigned teams, but now we needed to find another way up.
"We have to go around," I stated. The girls agreed, and we bid farewell to the other team.
"Chiho, how are you doing?"
"I'm okay, but a little queasy," she replied.
"Sorry, but it's only going to get rougher from here on," I replied; and boy it did. First, a squad of armed men threw a variety of explosives and opened fire, but the twins used their element and formed a barrier to protect us. They then created an opened for Musubi to launch her bear palm. The blast was strong enough to knock the soldiers out and allow us to venture on. Second, Musubi accidentally stepped on a switch, which propelled sharp projectiles at us. I was also unlucky when I too stepped on a switch and caused a giant black boulder to start rolling after us. I heard Hikari shout,
"What the hell is wrong with this tower?!"
I saw Musubi turn around and rush at the boulder head on.
"Musubi wait!"
"Bear Fist!" She exclaimed and crushed the boulder effortlessly, sending chunks of it flying everywhere. She jumped up and down in happiness and ran to me.
"I did it Ren, hehehe."
"Good job Musubi, now let's go before another one shows up," I replied. We had to wait first for Chiho to compose herself with me apologizing for the roughness. When she was feeling better, the five of us continued running. I thought back to the others and wondered how they're managing. I prayed that everyone is still safe and sound. Finally, when we entered the next floor, we were greeted by the Crimson Sekirei herself, Benitsubasa. She was the only person to greet us, which made her happy because of the ecstatic smile she's wearing.
"Well if it isn't the Ashikabi of the North; I'm not surprised that you made it this far, but this is also where your mission ends."
"Benitsubasa; I must say, seeing you here is indeed a surprise. I was honestly expecting Karasuba or Haihane; you would probably be higher in my opinion," I replied.
"Oh? Well I hate to disappoint you," she said with a growing smile.
"Musubi, it seems this is where we part ways. Don't let your guard down; and be careful okay?" I asked.
"I understand; I won't fail you," she declared. I smiled.
"You never will; and I'll be sure to make it to the top, just come back to me."
"I will," she replied. Benitsubasa rushed at me, only to be blocked by Musubi. The two threw a straight punch, their fists colliding and causing a minor tremble. A part of the floor immediately began cracking at the sheer power.
"Sekirei no. 88, Musubi; I will be your opponent," she declared. The two moved off each other and took their fighting stance.
"Sekirei no. 105, Benitsubasa; I hope you're ready to die."
The twins and I proceeded on, but I gave Musubi one last glance before looking ahead.
Musubi was the first to charge forward and threw another powerful punch. Benitsubasa held up her wrists and blocked the attack, then throwing three punches at her left, right, and middle. In retaliation, Musubi moved her body accordingly to dodge the first two and then leaned far back to avoid the third; she then threw three of her own punches. Benitsubasa twisted and turned, throwing a backhand that Musubi ducked. She came up with an uppercut, but she missed and jumped to her left to avoid her opponent's counterstrike.
Benitsubasa lunged forward and threw a right hook, a left one, another backhand, and ended with a high kick. Musubi deflected the hooks, blocked the backhand, and caught her leg. She then pulled Benitsubasa over her and threw her towards the wall, but she quickly recovered and landed on her feet. Her and Musubi rushed forward, their respective aura glowing, and launched their signature punches.
"Bear Fist!"
"Pulverizer!"
The attacks caused a bright light to erupt and the place to start shaking. Their power was equal so the girls were blown back. The impact caused the floor to break even more, but it still remained intact. The two got back up and dusted themselves off.
"You really are good; I guess that's expected of the person Black wishes to fight," Benitsubasa stated. Musubi laughed.
"You're really strong too; I'm having so much fun."
The girls retook their stances and sized each other up, in more ways than one.
'All right you big breasted freak, let's see what you got.' A jealous and angry Benitsubasa thought. The two dashed and resumed their fighting.
The twins, Chiho, and I made it to the sixtieth floor. We had only twenty-five minutes left; but we had twenty floors left to travel up. I was extremely exhausted from using my thunder too much. My stamina is nearly depleted, but I still mustered enough to keep going.
"Are you feeling okay?" Hibiki asked. I could only nod.
"I'm…fine, just tired. Oh man, when all this…is over, I'm taking a nice hot bath."
"We're wasting time at this rate though," Hikari pointed out.
"Please don't…remind me," I said. "If only I had some way to scan the place ahead of time so I'll…know…what's…ahead. Shit," I cursed.
"Um, what was that about?" Hikari questioned.
"I'm an idiot. I completely forgot about Matsu's norito," I answered. Hibiki got me to Matsu's channel.
"Matsu, do you read me?"
There were still noises in the background and the sound of battle cries, mostly Yomi's screams.
"I read you loud and clear. What do you need and please make it quick," Matsu responded.
"Can you still use your norito?" I asked.
"Yeah, for now though," she replied.
"Okay, quickly scan the rest of M.B.I for me so I know what's waiting ahead of me," I ordered.
"Okay, just give me a second. SEARCH!"
I could hear her humming a soft tune.
"Okay, there are no traps, five hundred more troops, and one of the Discipline Squad. At the top, Minaka and Takami awaits on the roof. Now I have to go, good luck."
She ended the channel, as did I.
"Okay, we're in luck. Matsu said there are no more traps, but a lot of troops are waiting for us, and most likely Haihane is waiting for us above them. So, I'm going to run ahead. You two take care of the troops, and I'll meet you at the top, okay?"
"You got it," Hikari replied.
"We're right behind you," Hibiki spoke up. I began channeling my aura as high as I could, pretty much becoming a giant blue spotlight.
"Chiho; I'm warning you right now. You had better make sure your grip is a deadly one, because I will be running at full speed. Close your eyes, hold on, and whatever you do, do not let go."
She did as I instructed, to the point of almost choking me. I first thanked the twins for their assistance, only getting a short nod and beautiful smile. I looked back in front of me and crouched down.
"Here we go Chiho; hold on tight."
The moment I stepped forward, Chiho started screaming at how fast we were going. I was running faster than before, but it caused the stairs to be a bitch as I concentrated on not tripping, barely failing. The guards though were just left stunned at how fast I rushed past them. I made it up the twenty floors with enough time to spare; but Haihane was waiting just as Matsu told me. However, she was sitting on the floor with her legs up to her chest and a sad expression on her face. I was completely confused, but I snapped out of it when I looked at the sick looking Chiho. I laid her on the floor and propped her up.
"Chiho, are you okay?"
Groggily, she said, "I'm fine; but I move for the moment."
"I'm sorry Chiho. Look, we're at the top; all we have to do is pass this sekirei and you're safe," I stated. She nodded and rested for a while. I on the other hand, approached the sad looking Haihane.
"Haihane, what's the matter?"
"My show," she said sadly.
"Huh? Your show? What about your show?" I asked now even more confused.
"My favorite show is on and I forgot to record it," she replied. Haihane sunk even lower. "It's the final episode too."
"I see. So that's why you're depressed," I replied. I thought about the given opportunity and smiled. I placed my hand on Haihane's shoulder, getting her to look at me.
"I'll make a deal with you. I will give you the complete set of any show you want in exchange for telling me where my uncle is located and letting us pass without trouble."
Her face brightened. "Really? Any show I want, and the complete set?"
"Yep, and I'll even throw in ten more for a total of eleven sets. So, do we have a deal?" I asked. She looked at me skeptically.
"How do I know you're not lying?"
"I basically wagered my uncle's life. What more do you want?" I asked back. She continued looking at me.
"Okay, deal; and you said any set I want, right?"
"Yep, any show you want; I can get it for you," I replied. She rose to her feet and removed her gauntlets, holding out her hand for me to shake. Without haste, we shook hands and established the contract.
"Your uncle is located on the twentieth floor fifth room on the left; he's being watched by Karasuba," she told me.
"Excellent, just send me a list of your shows and I'll get them for you," I replied. She nodded her head and released my hand.
"The director is behind that door. Just remember our deal and I won't come looking for your head."
"I'm a man of my word," I told her. She walked away while still giving me a skeptical look. I proceeded over to Chiho, who seemed much better.
"Are you feeling better?"
She nodded her head. "Did we make it?"
"Hold on," I replied. I activated my earpiece and went to Uzume's channel.
"Uzume, have you found my uncle?"
"Not yet; we looked everywhere," she said. "What about you? How is Chiho doing?"
"She might be a little queasy, but other than that, she is absolutely safe and sound. We made it to the top with just enough time to spare; and I figured out the location of my uncle. He's on the twentieth floor, fifth door on the left, and is being guarded by Karasuba."
"Okay, we're on our way there," Uzume replied. We ended the call, and I picked up Chiho bridal style.
"Are Uzume and the others okay?" she asked.
"Yep, they're doing great. Let's finish your objective first though before worrying about the others," I replied. I kicked the door open and felt the breeze of the outside world. I smelled the fresh air and a sweet smell, a smell of victory. I walked to the middle of the roof, where I heard a familiar laughter. I turned my head and saw Minaka looking down on me with his signature grin.
"I see you made it pass all the obstacles, even dividing your party to conquer the odds. Splendid, simply splendid; I knew you would pass my test."
"That's right; now I believe we had a deal," I pointed out. Minaka jumped down and walked over to me.
"Ah yes, a deal's a deal; I will tend to Ms. Hidaka's illness if you managed to make it here in time. But may I ask, what about your uncle?"
I gave him the earpiece and watched him turn it on.
"You shouldn't underestimate my nephew you know; it's a mistake you won't live to regret," Clyde stated. Minaka could only laugh at his statement.
"I see, but mistakes are meant to be learned from," he replied. Minaka gave Ren back the earpiece, and he began talking to his uncle.
"Are you okay Uncle Clyde?" I asked.
"Oh yeah, I was only talking to Karasuba. It was the only way to keep myself from being bored," he replied.
"Well, I'm glad you're alright; I was worried," I said.
"I'm glad you're safe too kiddo. Uzume told me about your predicament, but Minaka got the drop on me and I wasn't able to help," uncle explained. "But either way; I'll be more than happy to cure Chiho. Takami should be on her way there."
"Thanks uncle; I'll see you soon," I said and hung up. I let Chiho walk, only to be hugged by her.
"We did it Chiho; we got you here in time. Now you're going to be rid of that virus forever."
"Thank you; I'm so happy," she replied. Soon, Takami appeared and congratulated me on my success. She led Chiho and me through various corridors where we met up with Musubi, who threw herself at me and gave me a passionate kiss. She held onto my arm as we continued walking. We soon met up with the lightning twins and my other sekirei, who gave me the same greeting as Musubi. After a while, Takami brought us to the medical sector of the building and opened the best quality room. Behind the door, Takehito and my uncle, who patted my shoulder and congratulated us, appeared.
"We'll take it from here; you guys can relax now. We'll let you know when the procedure is over," he said. Uzume and I gave Chiho one last hug before handing her over. Takami walked in behind her and closed the door, causing me let out an exhausted sigh.
"That was strenuous; I can't run anymore."
Uzume kissed my cheek.
"Thank you; I'm glad I believed, thank you."
She gave me a loving hug, causing my other sekirei to join in. As we made our way back, the elevators were now operating thankfully and we rode them back down; however, when we reached the base floor, we were greeted by the Black Sekirei herself as she blocked the exit. She smiled her signature smile.
"Congrats on completing your mission," she stated.
"I should thank you for not harming my uncle," I replied. She shrugged her shoulders.
"He's my adjuster and he actually make things fun here; I don't want to lose that."
"Then why have you stopped us?" I asked. She grinned again.
"I honestly wanted to have a match with Musubi, but she's too worn out now. I want to fight her at her absolute best. Be prepared, because I feel our battle arriving sooner than expected."
She stepped aside and let us through. Musubi happily waved bye to her. The twins bid their farewells and left the scene. My team and I made our way back home, only to see Jason sand his party help cleaning and my other sekirei barking orders at them.
"Hey! We're back!" I shouted. The moment I did though, I was tackled to the ground, receiving major case of déjà vu.
"Glad you're all safe too; I was worried about you all."
"We were too; you have no idea how painful it was thinking about you," Yomi responded. I observed them more carefully and saw their entire beings covered in scratches.
"You all been through a lot; how about we all take a bath together later tonight?" I offered. The tackled me again, yelling yes.
"Thou shouldn't have to worry; I am the strongest sekirei after all," Tsukiumi boasted.
"I don't care how powerful you are; I'm going to worry about you all either way," I replied. They got off and let me stand. That's when Jason walked in.
"Hey, glad you made it out okay. How was it?"
"She's safe and sound is being treated as we speak," I replied with an elated smile. He let out a breath of relief.
"That's great; now I can sleep easy tonight."
After we all finished straightening up the house and discussing all that took place here, Jason and his party bid farewell. He believed it would be best to leave his Jinki with mine so he didn't take it with him. Once they left, I plopped down on the couch and relaxed, but someone rested on top of me and kissed my cheek.
"Hey Uzume," I greeted. She hovered above me and placed her hands on my cheeks.
"What are you doing?"
She answered that by resting back on top of me.
"I'm just happy. Chiho can finally be cured, and it's all thanks to you."
"It wasn't just me; you all helped out. I just transported her there," I said. She shook her head.
"You're the one who came up with the plans and led us."
I was about to respond, but she kissed me.
"Get some rest; you deserve it. We promise not to disturb you."
She got off and kissed me goodbye. With that, I closed my eyes, let drowsiness overcome me, and drifted off to sleep. There was no dream sadly, and when I woke up, a delicious aroma wafted through the air.
"Ah, you're awake now master," Akitsu greeted me. I sat up, stretched, and let out a yawn.
"Dinner smells good Akitsu."
"Thank you; I just finished preparing it. Would you like to eat now?" She asked.
The rumbling of my stomach answered her question before I could. My sekirei and I gathered at the table and dug into the delicious food Akitsu made, along with the attempt for Uzume and Toyotama to feed me. Toyotama wanted to be more daring and offered the food mouth to mouth, which made Tsukiumi's blood boil. I did accept the normal offerings…and a secret mouth serving, which resulted in me being doused with water. After dinner, I let Akitsu rest while I tended to the dishes. While I did so, I kept thinking about Jason's question. I was at an impasse and couldn't decide on what to do still.
"Am I really fit to be a father?" I pondered. After I was done washing the dishes, I joined my lovely ladies in a nice hot bath. I sat in the bath while the girls were giggling and doing their own things. Kazehana soon approached me with her towel around her body.
"Darling, would you mind if I washed your back?" She asked in a seductive tone.
"Sure, I don't mind," I replied. I felt her get in the water and rubbed the soap against my back. I then felt her breasts press up against me.
"You were really brave today darling; I couldn't take my eyes off you."
"I was going to say the same about you," I replied with a secret smile.
"Oh?" She said. I turned to her.
"Yes, when I watched your strength, I could also see the grace and beauty behind your attacks. Not only were you simply stunning, but your movements were as well."
I whispered in her ear.
"We should have another dance soon; that way, only I can see your beauty in the moonlight."
I pulled her back and saw a deep red blush appear across her cheeks. She was speechless at my statement. I grasped her palm and did an old Kagari gesture. I planted a gentle kiss on her palm, making her blush even brighter. What I forgot though, was the fact that my other sekirei were present and I basically started an all-out war. Most of it consisted of more seductive gestures; but I beat them in the end, mentally thanking Kagari for what he taught me, or at least what I watched him do.
It was nighttime now, and the girls got their kiss goodnight in. Some used the events from the bath to get a deep one, but I didn't mind. They headed to their room to sleep, which made me curious. I have that huge king-size bed, but so far, only two of them have slept beside me in it. My uncle and father specifically told me that it could all nine of us. I only assumed they enjoyed their beds a little more. I walked to my room, but upon entry, I found Uzume in a purple-buttoned suit and a long black skirt. Her hair was in a bun and a pair of glasses settled on her face. She was simply beautiful, mesmerizing, and completely sexy.
"U-Uzume, you look…wow."
She walked to me while swaying her hips seductively. Her outfit showed her curves off in all the right ways; and her suit made her breasts look as though they wanted freedom.
"Why are you dressed like this? I mean there's nothing wrong with it, not even close. I just…wanted to know."
She whispered seductively in my ear, "Does it turn you on?"
I could feel myself turning red.
"Y-Yes, it does."
She crossed her arms under her breasts, showing them off to me.
"This is your reward for saving Chiho; let's honor the wish I want," she whispered, pressing her breasts against my chest.
"Y-Yeah, sure; but you never told me why you're dressed like that," I pointed out. She giggled and pressed her lips to mine.
"I like cosplaying; and I wish to do it like this. I will wear different outfits and we'll act out something depending on what it is, okay?"
I nodded.
"For this one, I am a high school teacher and you are my student. I'm sure you know where I'm going with this."
"Yeah, I got it," I replied, losing my self-control at the moment. I could barely contain myself. When she kissed me a few minutes ago, I noticed she had lip-gloss on, giving them that shiny appearance.
"Then let's begin; just improvise," she snapped me out of my thoughts and walked away, acting like she was writing on a chalkboard. I took a deep breath and approached her, suddenly hugging her from behind and getting a surprised yelp from her.
"Oh Ren, you scared me; I thought you were someone else. What's the problem?"
"I should be asking you that. You seem really angry; did you have a bad day?" I asked back. Went back to pretend writing.
