Chapter 49: Melody from Heaven
After a wonderful dinner date and some quality time well spent with Yomi, Akitsu was next on the list. I went in search of her, but I had no idea what she might want to do. Since it's nighttime, activities are limited unlike their daytime counterparts. I remained in my suit and headed back to my room to change, but when I walked in, Akitsu was sitting on my bed waiting in her usual attire.
"Hey Akitsu; I was just looking for you," I told her. She got off the bed and bowed to me.
"Forgive me mast-Ren; I wanted to change back into my casual attire. I've already decided what I would like to do."
I first gave her a kiss on the lips, making her blush.
"You remembered to call me Ren when we're alone."
She rested her head and hands on my chest, and I hugged her back.
"Will you help me with something?" She asked.
"Sure, what do you want to do?" I asked back. She lifted her head to look me in the eye.
"I want to sing a song with you."
That sentence flew in my ear and went out the other. I was surprised to hear that.
"You want to sing a song; where did this come from?"
She continued to blush.
"When you sing to us, I get so fascinated by your performance. You always find a way to touch our hearts, and I wanted to try it for myself. I don't think I can do as great as you, but I still wish to try. Will you help me Ren?"
I smiled at her and nodded.
"Of course Akitsu; I'll be happy to help. Have you already thought of a song?"
She shook her head.
"I don't know any songs to sing; that's why I wanted you to sing with me. I can't do it alone."
I patted her shoulders.
"Hey; don't worry about it. I know just the song. I'll even help you rehearse."
She smiled beautifully.
"Thank you Ren."
I kissed her lips.
"Don't mention it; I'll always be happy to help. Really, it's not as hard as you think. All I can say to you is just have fun; don't worry about the audience. Focus on the music and have fun; it'll be easier trust me."
"Okay, can we start?" She asked. I nodded to her and played her the song we will sing. Over the next half hour, I made sure Akitsu knew the lyrics and told her that there will note cards in the audience if she is stuck. I contacted Jason to set up the place for us and have everyone there by a certain time. When I heard Akitsu try the song herself, I was amazed by how beautiful her voice was; it was like a Siren's, so enchanting and soothing. I didn't realize that I was staring at her and it made her blush deeply.
"Akitsu, your voice is so beautiful."
She averted her gaze.
"D-Do you really think so?"
I placed a hand on hers.
"It was very beautiful; I didn't know you could sing so angelically."
Her blush brightened.
"It's new to me as well; I'm glad you like it."
"Like it? I love it; now I can't wait for the others to hear," I replied. "And don't worry Akitsu; I'm behind you every step of the way."
"Thank you Ren," she said and rested her head on my shoulder. Once it was almost time, I changed back into normal attire and we headed down to the beach where everyone else was. The stage was set up with speakers and microphones.
"So Ren, you and Jason are gonna sing for us?" Toyo asked. I shook my head and patted Akitsu's shoulders again.
"It will be Akitsu and I."
That definitely surprised them.
"Akitsu? Since when can she sing? I'm not saying anything negative or anything, but this is the first time I've heard of this," Matsu stated. I nodded in agreement.
"I was surprised too, but her voice is amazing. Just watch and see; you won't be disappointed."
"Akitsu, is this what you wanted to do?" Yomi asked her. She nodded.
"Yes, I wanted to try it just once so please watch."
"Hey this should be great; good luck. We'll be cheering you on," Uzume encouraged her. She bowed to her sisters.
"Thank you."
We walked onto the stage and saw Seo and twins show up.
"What's going on here?" Seo asked.
"Our darling and sister are going to sing for us," Kazehana told him. The three expanded their eyes.
"Since when can they sing?" Seo questioned.
"Ever since I was little," I answered. "Akitsu just found out half an hour ago really, but her voice is amazing."
"Now this I have to see," he said. Akitsu and I got into position, as our audience watched. That's when I thought of something interesting.
"Wait a minute; I just thought of something. Hibiki and Hikari, will you two be our backup singers?"
"Huh?" They said in confusion.
"Yes, the song we're about to sing have more than one female voice in it. Will you two be our backup singers, or will at least one of you?" I asked again. The two looked at one another and shrugged their shoulders.
"What the heck; let's give it a try," Hikari stated. The two hopped on the stage and received a mic from Jason. I showed them the song we'll be singing.
"Oh we got this," Hibiki stated confidently. I smiled at them.
"Alright then, let's start."
I kissed Akitsu on the cheek and wished her luck. In the back, Jason held up the note cards for Akitsu, who bowed back.
"Are you ready Akitsu?"
"Yes," she calmed her nerves. I looked to the audience.
"Are you guys ready?"
They cheered their approval, causing me to nod. I started up the music and let the soft melody play out until it hit her mark.

The final notes of the song play out and soon come to an end. The four of us looked to the utterly shocked and mouth agape audience, who suddenly burst out cheering, along with many more people who showed up. The four stepped off the stage, but Akitsu hugged me tightly and planted a kiss on my cheek.
"Thank you so much master; I loved it."
I smiled back at her and returned her hug.
"I'm glad; you looked stunning out there."
I looked at the twins.
"Thanks girls; you two were amazing as well."
They smiled.
"Our pleasure."
Seo patted my shoulder.
"Well that was an amazing performance kid; I didn't know you could sing so well."
"It's something I used to do when I was little," I replied. After a little talking, Seo and the twins left the scene.
My other girls approached, and Uzume hugged Akitsu.
"That was amazing Akitsu; you have such an amazing voice."
She blushed at the compliment.
"Thank you; I'm glad that you all enjoyed the performance."
"You were amazing Akitsu," Musubi stated.
"Your performance was truly spectacular," Tsukiumi complimented. Akitsu bowed to them with her face still red.
"I appreciate the kind praise."
She turned to me.
"Master, can we do something else right now?"
I nodded.
"I've got just the thing."
I took her hand and waved by to the girls as I dragged Akitsu along with me. I brought her to the secluded place I took the others and waited in the now crystal like area, the water glistening beautifully under the moon light.
"Ren, this place is beautiful," Akitsu commented.
"Thanks, I found this when I was with Uzume," I told her. She sat on my lap and rested against me.
"Did you enjoy singing Akitsu?"
She nodded. "Yes, I had a lot of fun."
I wrapped my arms around her.
"I could see; your smile was the most beautiful I've ever seen."
She tilted her head up and looked at me. She smiled again and brought her face closer for another kiss; her snowflake like wings sprouting and shining ever so brilliantly. She pulled back and rested her head on my shoulder.
"I love you Ren."
I kissed her head.
"I love you too Akitsu, but I haven't shown you my present. We're waiting for a couple."
She nodded and kissed me again, our kiss lasting until the couple arrived. Jason appeared in the area along with Ikki. He had the stereo in his free hand, making me smile at him.
"What's going on?" Ikki asked. Jason kissed her cheek, causing her to blush. I grasped Akitsu's hand and walked her to stand beside Ikki. Jason stood beside me and handed me a mic.
"Ladies, as our first sekirei and love; we will be singing a song just for your ears," I told them.
"Really? Is this why you didn't tell me?" Ikki asked Jason. He rubbed the back of his head.
"I didn't want to ruin the surprise. I wanted this song to be special."
Ikki hugged him tight.
"I love you."
"I love you too. Now relax and listen," he told her. Jason walked back beside me.
"You ready?" I asked.
"Oh yeah," he played the song, as we let the melody sink into the girls' ears.

The song faded away as the last note played. We high fived each other and looked at our lovers, seeing tears streaming down their cheeks. They sniffled, wiped them away, and smiled back us. The girls ran into our arms and buried their heads in our chest.
"That was the most amazing thing you've ever said to us. Thank you guys, so much; we love you so much," Ikki declared. Jason titled her head up and kissed her lips while I continued to embrace Akitsu. Jason and Ikki soon walked away with the stereo and left Akitsu and me alone. We sat on the boulder and watched the stars, our fingers intertwined.
"Akitsu, did you have fun?" I asked her. She answered that with a peak on the cheek.
"I loved it; but Ren, it's only been an hour. We still have another two left."
"I know, and we can still do whatever you like," I said. She smiled at me and wrapped her arms around my torso.
"Like that time I went out with my sisters; we met up at home after having a heart bonding conversation. Can we have another night like that?"
She looked up at me, as I tapped her nose.
"Just for you Akitsu, but afterwards, you will have to wait until Toyotama has earned her night, okay?"
"Yes, of course; I haven't forgotten," she replied. I cupped her cheeks and pulled her into another kiss. She straddled my waist and pressed her body against me, her breasts pushing against my chest. My tongue entered her mouth and pirouetted with hers. She began to moan softly as the moonlight bathed us with its light and our hearts became one once again. The remainder of her time was spent making love to each other and then taking a walk back to the main area, our hands held together and our fingers interweaved.
"I enjoyed the time we spent together Ren," Akitsu said. I kissed her cheek.
"I did too, is there one last thing you want to do before we part?"
She kissed my lips and gave me a tight hug.
"I just want to tell you that I love you very much and that you are the best thing to ever happen to me; I love you with all my heart. The times we've spent together have been the best times of my life; I'm so glad that we're together."
I kissed her head.
"I'm glad you're with me too Akitsu; you're the reason I've come so far. You have no idea how much I love you as well. I hope that tonight's date proved that."
"It did; thank you so much," she said. We gave each other one last kiss before heading our separate ways. The next person on the list is Tsukiumi, but since nearly everyone is going to sleep. She and Musubi will be given six hours total; I will combine their three together so they have an equal amount of time with me. I headed inside the main building to find my girls, but I almost ended up getting lost again. I did manage to find them at last, but I got lost so many times that I pulled them into a tight embrace the moment I saw them. I kissed their lips and smiled at them.
"I love you girls."
