I am sorry for the extremly long wait and i think i should explain myself.
A very close person to me died a month ago. After that i could not write anything i had a huge writers block. I was too focused on mourning and school. I am sorry for that.
But anyway this is the final chapter for The Return of the lost one. There will be a sequel for this story which i will publish during this summer.
The World was dying around Hiccup he could feel it. His face badly burned. Most of his short hair almost fully burned away. He only felt the warm air around him as the village burned. He just kept walking towards the marketplace.
When he arrived to the marketplace he saw Tiberius laying unconsciously next to the statue.
" Tiberius." Hiccup shouted trying to hit him awake.
After a few more slaps his eyes opened showing his light blue eyes.
" General you are alive!" He says.
" I am not for long. I can already feel my life leaving me as we speak."
" You are not dying. You will live you return to your wife and son. You will see him groving strong and him commanding his own legion."
" Don't try to fool me Tiberius, my life is at its end." Hiccup says.
They both turned around hearing someone approaching. It was Astrid and some other villagers including her parents and Gobber all armed from foot to teeth.
Hiccup tried to say something but was almost unable to say something until he spoke.
" I am sorry for everything."
" Your apology is not enough you burned your village you killed innocents you killed your own cousin and even worse you killed your own father." Astrids father said while draving his sword. He continued.
" From your crimes towards your village i will sentence you to die." He said ready to kill him.
" Don't do it father." Astrid says
" And why should i not do it."
" I won't allow you to take away the only man i have ever loved." Astrid said. Villagers around them gasped. Her father was furious.
" How dare you to. He is responsible from destroying lives. He is the reason for your misery."
" Yes he might be but he knows how to find the men responsible."
Her father was about to continue, but Hiccup stopped both of them.
" Enough both of you! Just let Tiberius go. Thats all i care about." Hiccup said and reached for his pocket and pulled out an amulet with a sculpture of a night fury. He handed it to Tiberius.
" Tiberius you know who to give this to and tell her that i am sorry."
" You are not leaving this world Nox. You will give it to her yourself."
" I can't Tiberius." Hiccup said while walking towards the cliff.
" Why? You are not dying."
" I am. The Dragon's fire sealed my fate and the world of the living can no longer come for me. Take the amulet to her. We will see yourselves in the afterlife." He jumped.
" HICCUP!" Astrid screamed. She ran to the cliff, but she could not see anything else but the wawes.
On the ground Tiberius was pressing the amulet agains his chest while trying to make his way towards the port. The rest of the villagers just left the scene trying to rebuild. Only Astrid, her family and Tiberius stayed. After long silence Astrid speaks.
" Where are you going now Tiberius?"
" I am going back to Rome to complete my mission. Why?"
" How do you think you reach Rome?"
" Well i was thinking about going to port to wait for a traveling merchant to take me on."
" Or then i will come with you to Rome and we can use my boat."
" Astrid you will not do it!" Her father said."
" I am because i will kill the man responsible."
" And who is that Astrid?" Her Mother asked.
" Nero."
" You can't find Nero without my help."
" That's why i take you with me. I need a guide and i wish to know who you are taking that amulet."
After a long silence Tiberius spoke
" I am going to take to Julia Summanus. Hiccup's wife."
" Hiccup has a wife."
" Yes. They have been married for 6 years. They have a son named Darius Summanus.
" Then what are we waiting for. Let's go." Astrid said.
