Well, well. Its been a long time, hasn't it? Well, its time for that long awaited new chapter. I will admit, though the story seems to be looking up and up. The story needs to change. And stuff. I guess you can say. There, in this here chapter, someone will die. Yeah, spoiler alert. I am pretty sure, its time to take a pause and start anew. Granted, I loved where it was headed. But then again...Sorrow is the matter of the tongue. And now its time to say goodbye to one of the characters. But, nonetheless, I am back.

Kagome sighed as she now felt like she was in pure heaven. Heaven with such a simple word of happiness or bliss. However, Kagome for some ungodly reason, kept her thoughts all around the place. First, she was happy that Chiharu was back. There is always a but, and that but being, she was missing Meiko. After all the two were engaged, broke up, then engaged again. Surely, she loved Chiharu, she was her first love, and yet, Kagome could say she was, well, maybe not fully content. Slowly sliding out of bed, Kagome released a soft sigh, in hopes her lover was at bay and indeed asleep, "My life is a fucking mess. Literally a mess. My mother comes and ruins everything bringing back Chiharu. God, I love her, yes. But she was meant to be...Dead. I am so cruel. Look at me, I am being a bitch to someone that I once...Well, love. Her hair is green, something I've never seen. All I see is Gumi, I do not see Chiharu. I see a Vocaloid that got her kicks by singing. But Chiharu hated that sort of thing." Kagome pulled at her face in a downward motion, as her thoughts continued to toy and devour her whole. Kagome finally took in a deep breath, as she walked to the bed, she heard a soft voice,

"Kagome? Why aren't you in bed?" Gumi asked with a soft smile, "Come on." She muttered, of course even in the darkness she could feel Kagome's emotions. Distraught was a good one, and so was confusion. "Kagome, are you okay?" She asked as she began to slide out of the bed,

"Yes, everything is fine. Don't worry." Kagome stated as she walked back to bed, and cuddled up against Gumi. This wasn't right. Not right at all. Then again, her mother made herself perfectly clear, that the decision was too be forever. And now, Kagome was in a way regretting the decision. For this, to her, wasn't Chiharu.

The next morning was as the mornings were. Tiring, boring, and just filled with loud noises as everyone was trying to get coffee, and of course food. Everyone was smiling except Kagome. Surely, she was awaiting for Kamiko and Hitomi to tease her, instead. She saw Rin and Hitomi laughing and kissing. Same with Kamiko and Akira. Then the heart breaking moment, she saw Akiko and Meiko. Kagome looked away, as she took in a deep breath, "I need air." She whispered, loud enough for only one to hear; Rin. Kagome walked away then made her presence known upon the balcony. She heard the door slide open then shut, "Gumi, ugh, Chiharu not right now." She mustered,

"Its not Chiharu." Rin stated with a chew of her bottom lip, "Why aren't you inside talking?" She asked, as she now walked to the rail of the balcony. That is when she saw the gleaming drop roll down the other's features, "Kagome, what the hell is going on?" She asked, "You stated clearly that you want to be with Chiharu. Meiko comes down the stairs, then see her hand in hand with Akiko. Sur.." Rin was immediately cut off,

"That girl in there?! Is not Chiharu! Aki-Mother is a lying sack of shit. That is Gumi. That is how I see her at least. Chiharu, wouldn't even be in the shitty sounds that you all call music." Kagome sighed, "I am sorry. I made a mistake, Rin. I should've chose the one that has my heart. I mean goddammit, sure she cheated. But she allowed me.." Kagome swallowed hard to not only stop herself from crying even more, but to swallow the knot that continued to cling to the back of her throat, "Rin, can you leave me?" Kagome asked, quickly she saw a nod from the blonde diva.

With everything going on, Rin couldn't grasp what Kagome was going through. She thought that Kagome would be happy and content with the one that had claimed her heart many years ago. Sure Rin could completely understand that love and chemistry was there for both Chiharu and Meiko. Even Rin saw that Meiko was the one for Kagome, and yet, Kagome was already regretting her decision. Rin sighed then immediately took Hitomi's hand in her own and walked to the bedroom,

"I don't really like fuc.." Hitomi stopped herself as she looked at Rin, of whom now had that saddening feature take the form of her smile, "Rin, what's wrong?" Hitomi asked with only concern in her tone,

"Kagome is in love with Meiko. She made that clear when her and I talked. I guess she feels like Gumi is Gumi not Chiharu. Hell, I would too. Hitomi, why didn't she choose Meiko? Why did she choose Gumi, er, Chiharu?" Rin asked, wanting to search her lover's eyes for the answer,

"Chiharu was her first love. Surely, she would harbor feelings for her, however, I see it too. Especially when Meiko walked hand in hand with my mother. Seriously, my mother is one fucked up piece of shit. To be honest, my mother has a way to manipulate people, and control them. Chiharu has been dead for years. So, I have been asking myself the exact same thing. Why did she choose Chiharu. Kagome wanted to be happy, I think she just chose a puppet. My mother is a piece of work, isn't she?" Hitomi spoke in a questioning tone, then scoffed,

"Why is your mother do that?" Rin asked,

"Do what?" Hitomi asked towards the other's question,

"Manipulate people." Rin replied,

"My mother has always been that type of person to get what she wants. Hell, she has done this to me in the past. I was in love with this guy, made me feel like I was the only girl in the world. Then all of sudden he wanted nothing to do with me. Instead he wanted to be with my mother. She has a thing for going after what is already taken. Kagome and I have had it the worse. Kamiko can see through the bullshit lies." Hitomi rolled her eyes,

"How?" Rin asked,

"Kamiko has been in love with Akira all her life, well, mostly. Our mother tried this bullshit with her. And yet, she just shrugged it off. She knew. Kagome and I were to blind to the short amount of being with our lovers. Granted, my mother can be the sweetest person in the world, but she also can be the biggest bitch and slut that the world as ever seen. She wants what she can't have. If she can't have the person, no one can. And she sure as hell makes the other person suffer. Even if it is her own flesh and blood. Easy pickings, as Kamiko would say. I, honestly, believe that Chiharu is dead, and Gumi is under a spell. I am not sure how to truly find out. If we can, then everything can go back to normal." Hitomi mustered,

"How? Kagome made her bed, and now she has to lay in it. I know she has made a mistake. I swear at times, I wish this one huge fucked up dream. But it never will be, huh? No one deserves to feel what Kagome has felt in her entire existence. And if Gumi is really Gumi, how do we break the Spell?" Rin asked,

"Kamiko." Hitomi replied,

"Kamiko?" Rin stated in a questioning tone,

"She is the only one thus that has been able to not be blinded by my mother." Hitomi replied, "I will talk to her. You just keep your mouth shut. Sorry. Just be quiet of the situation." Hitomi stated and left the room, leaving Rin to just stand there is complete silence, and confusion.

With a knock of the door, Hitomi heard a creak of the door as the hinges grind among themselves, "Oh, hey Hitomi. Come in." Kamiko stated and shooed out Akira. "What's up?" Kamiko asked with a cock of her brow,

"We have a problem. Rin and I were just talking. We think mom brain.." Hitomi stopped, not even knowing out to start,

"Brainwashed Gumi?" Kamiko asked, and watched Hitomi do a quick nod. "I was thinking that as well. Just, Kagome is too blind to see it. We were told many years ago. When one dies of being mortal, they can never come back. Mom can tell Kagome all she wants that Chiharu is back. But come on we all know that she hasn't. How in the hell can a Mortal come back? I mean shit. Kagome never got the chance to bite her, and to change her. So, in my opinion our mother is a lying sack of shit. Granted, Kagome had to be one dumbass blind bitch. No offense to our sister. Hitomi, I am not even sure how to break this. The only way is either to kill 'Gumi'." Kamiko made sure she put the air quotes around the name, "Or kill mother. I know she can die. If she does, then everything will return to normal, well sort of." Kamiko sighed, "Why did we even let that bitch enter our lives again?" Kamiko asked with a pinch of her bridge of her nose, "Well, what are we going to do?" Kamiko asked,

"I have not a damn clue." Hitomi replied. She shook her head slowly. "I am not even sure if Kagome would believe us." Hitomi whispered,

"Honestly? I think Kagome secretly knows, yet, she is doing what she usually does. Plays it cool. And doesn't give a shit what others say. We have known this all of our lives." Kamiko shook her head and rolled her eyes, "God, I hate this. She has been through so much and now this. Our mother is one fucked up bitch." Kamiko rolled her eyes, with a sigh then slowly headed towards the door, "I suppose we should try to figure out things, but at this time, we need to join everyone else." Kamiko mustered and headed back into the kitchen, "Sorry about that." Kamiko stated then saw Hitomi enter the room. Both Kamiko and Hitomi looked away from the sight of their mother getting closer and closer to Meiko. Kamiko couldn't even look in that direction. Surely, Kagome did make the mistake, therefore she had to live with the decision. However, how was that fair to her? Kamiko watched Kagome step back into the room. With only a few words to fall from her lips,

"I've decided to make a new decision. I am leaving." Kagome stated and everyone stopped what they were doing, "I need to have my own time. To myself and not be.." Kagome looked towards Meiko and Akiko, then she shook her head, "Be around others." Kagome stated then went to her room and packed her belongings. Kagome knew what happened. And sure enough her mother once again won. Kagome had everything packed within a couple hours, however, before leaving the room. She saw Meiko standing at the doorway, "Of course." Kagome whispered,

"Why are you leaving?" Meiko asked, "Are you upset that your mother and I are together now?" Meiko whispered in a questioning tone, once the question was asked. She honestly didn't need an answer the way Kagome acted, she literally could see the heartbreak fill her eyes with the same salty water. Tears. Meiko now realized that Kagome wasn't exactly over her. Meiko took a step towards Kagome, "Listen, you are with Chiharu again. I've decided to move on. Surely, it is your mother. However, we both deserve to be happy. Everyone deserves to feel that joy and happiness." Meiko smiled reassuringly,

"I made a mistake." Kagome stated as she began to walk towards the door once again, yet she saw Meiko stand in her way, "Move, Meiko." Kagome hissed,

"What the hell do you mean you made a mistake?! You broke my heart remember! You chos..." Now before those last little words could be spoken she heard a crash of the packed back hitting the floor and Kagome's lips against her own. As she wanted to return the kiss, she couldn't. She just couldn't, Meiko pushed Kagome back, "What the hell?! You.." Meiko now saw Kagome crying, "Ka..Kagome.." Meiko reached out, as she felt the swat of her hand, she felt her shoulder be brushed up against, and literally pushed out of the way. Meiko's hand rose, so her fingers could caress her lips. Knowing that she hadn't truly moved on. But Meiko needed too, at least that is what she thought.

Kagome was now outside, and she was trying to hail a taxi, that's when she heard Gumi, well, Chiharu's voice,

"So that's it? You are already giving up on us. You are wanting to get back with Meiko?" Gumi asked, "Seriously. Here I am once again. And yet, you are already pushing all of this away. For what?! To be with that slut!? What the hell have I done to make you want to go back to her?" Gumi asked as tears now swelled in her eyes,

"It has always been her, Gumi. You know this. I can't be with this fake, fake of a shell. I don't see Chiharu. I can't feel her. I see you, Gumi. And only you. I am sorry." Kagome whispered, "Its not fair to you, for me to be only, be literally have only me be in it with a quarter of my heart. Meiko has made me happy, since Chiharu has been gone." Kagome's voice was slowly cracking, "And now here I stand, wanting to get the hell away. My mother fucked over my life once again. I can't do this anymore. Meiko is my love, my breath...My fucking everything." Kagome whispered as she fully broke down. Literally crashing to her knees. With only a grasp of her chest, "I want her back, Gumi. No, I need her back." Kagome whispered,

Gumi grabbed her head for a moment, "Stop! I am Chiharu. I am your loss love!" She exclaimed,

"No. Your not. You are just hallowed shell with her memories. You are Gumi." Kagome mustered, as she pinned her knees to her chest, and cried against the caps of her knees. Kagome could literally feel her heart break for the final time. She could remember all the times she spent with Chiharu. From the first kiss to the first time they laid together. Then of course of them falling in love. Kagome now began to think of Meiko, the warmth that she gave. The smile that made Kagome smile. The passionate night they had the very first time they spent together. That ended up bringing the happiness to them. She could remember the first real kiss they shared. Beneath the rain. That is when she truly knew that she fell for her. Even though she was cheated on by Meiko. She couldn't help but still love her. She felt a hand on her shoulder, "Go away, Gumi." She whispered,

"I know how we can fix this." Kamiko stated then handed Kagome a gun, "You need to either kill one or the other." Kamiko stated,

"What the hell are you saying?" Kagome asked,

"You either kill; Meiko, Gumi, or mother. If you kill Meiko, then you can move on with your life with, 'Chiharu'." Once again Kamiko put quotes around the name, "Or kill Gumi, and save her from the pain that could harbor from all of this. Or you can kill mother. And the spell will be lifted. Granted you will kill Meiko's new girlfriend." Kamiko stated,

"I can't. I just can't." Kagome stated, as she gripped the gun. Then let the pistol dangle from her index finger. "I love her. I made a huge mistake." Kagome mustered. Then shook her head, and sighed heavily. As the words had been spoken, the clouds brought only more sorrow. Rain. "Or I can end my life. And everyone can live on. Without me. I need not to be on this piece of shit. Plus, Meiko can finally be happy. Gumi will go back to Gumi, I am sure. And mother? Well, that bitch gets everything." Kagome thought.

Kagome walked back into the house now soaked head from to toe. The gun was now gripped within her hand. She sighed heavily, "You won, mother." She stated staring the woman down, "I hope your happy. I knew you lied! Mortals can't be brought back to life. And you knew I loved Meiko. And you made me do this!" Kagome exclaimed, as she pointed the gun towards her own mother, "But I will never be able to justify my actions. And I know I can die by this gun. How can I live my life with some fucking hollow shell?! With all of Chiharu's memories! That's not Chiharu! YOU FUCKING BITCH!" But soon the gun was rested upon her own temple, "I can't do this..." Kagome mustered, with her finger slowly pulling the trigger back,

"Kagome! Don't!" Luka ran towards her, "You don't have to do this!" Everything seemed to be in slow motion. Luka was running towards Kagome, as was Hitomi and Kamiko. They didn't want to lose Kagome. No one really did. They continued to watch the finger to continue to pull backwards. There was Lily and Sayomi running towards now what seemed to be a suicidal Vampire, "Please don't!" Luka screamed out, as time fell still and everyone seemed to pause, as a loud bang echoed through the room. Everyone fell silent, as they watched Kagome fall to the floor, "Nooooooooooooooo!" Luka screamed out as she fell to her knees. She immediately leaned into the warmth of her lover's arms. Luka couldn't deal with this. She had lost someone that had been protecting her this entire time.

Kamiko's eyes widened as she looked from Kagome towards her mother, of whom was gurgling upon her own blood. She looked towards Kagome of whom was not harmed, but the grazing sound of the metal of the gun hitting the floor. Kamiko now looked towards Gumi was in a state of a horrified look. Of course the spell had been broken. Kamiko slid towards her sister, "Kagome, are you okay?" She asked, as time began to go back to normal, of course Kagome wasn't. She had stabbed herself with the mist of everything, "Kagome. No no no." Kamiko now pressed upon the wound, "Why..Why?" She asked,

"So, everyone can be happy." Kagome replied, she had watched Meiko run too Akiko. Kagome smiled softly, to only lip towards Meiko once she had turned to look at Kagome, "I love you..." Kagome's smile faded as she eyes began to collapse upon themselves,

Meiko had shrugged off Akiko and ran towards Kagome. Kamiko continued to press down against the wound, "Jesus Christ!" Kamiko's eyes widened as she saw the blade of choice, "Oh god, why, Kagome?!" She asked as she continued to press on the wound. "Kagome...Oh god, please do not leave me." Kamiko was pleading with her own flesh and blood,

"No, Kagome. I lost you once. Almost twice. I refuse to lose you again." Meiko stated, as she looked towards the wound, the wound wasn't healing as she knew that the opening should, "Kagome, please stay with us. Goddammit! Please stay with me." Meiko pushed Kamiko away. Immediately her hands were pressed against the wound, "Kagome, damn you! I love you!" She exclaimed, as her hand that was now covered in blood, "Do..Don't you leave me now. Kagome, please. Please." Meiko continued to plead with her, "Please..." Meiko mustered her lips came crashing down against Kagome's lips. The blood had stopped drizzling from her wound,

"Wh..What is going on?" Gumi asked as she grabbed her head, finally she was truly coming too. Her eyes widened as she looked towards Akiko, of whom was dead. Then back towards Kagome, of whom was now dying. "Wait..." Gumi ran away and went into the bedroom and grabbed a vial. Gumi ran back to the room, "Give her this." Gumi handed Meiko the vial.

Without hesitation Meiko poured what was in the vial between Kagome's lips and letting her drink whatever was in the vial. "Ka..Kagome." She whispered as she looked deep into Kagome's eyes. She felt a jolt of Kagome, as she watched the wound to began heal. "Ka.." Meiko was pulled into a passionate kiss,

"You are always saving me, Meiko.." Kagome whispered as she kissed Meiko again, with a gasp that fell from her lips against Meiko's. "Damn.." She whispered as she looked towards her mother's body that was lifeless. "Wil..." Kagome was cut off,

"She is dead, Kagome. You did the right thing. I knew you would." Kamiko stated, once she looked back over, the body was gone. Taken away for good, "I should've done that years ago." Kamiko mustered, as she helped Kagome stand. But immediately pulled away as Meiko held Kagome up, "You two need to make this shit right. No more fucking drama. We still have a much bigger threat out there. And we can't let our feelings be shadowed within the realm of this bullshit." Kamiko stated.

Meiko slowly led Kagome to the living room, "What the hell is wrong with you!?" Meiko asked in an angered tone, before she slapped Kagome's face, "You threw me aside then you come to me, and told me you made a mistake. Then you kill my girlfriend! What the..." Once again Meiko was cut off, and instead of pulling away she fell right into the kiss. Her arms slowly slid around Kagome's neck as she deepened the kiss, "I love you. It will always be you." Meiko whispered against Kagome's lips,

"As I love you." Kagome whispered. Surely, Kamiko was right. There was a much bigger threat that was heading their way. However, was the shooting worth the expense of what was in the room? Surely. Kagome thought so. Gumi had returned to normal. Everything seemed to be right. Kagome knew one thing, she would and needed to be strong to protect Meiko. For what may come there way. And soon, they will face what was far worse than anything that had ever seen, would feel..And the worse thing they would fight.
