A/N: Welcome everyone, to another installment of Ice Chronicles. Didn't receive any reviews so that made me sad. Hopefully, this one will provide better results. I have read the suggestions people have sent me and I really love them. You guys are geniuses. Makes me wonder why some of you haven't written your own stories because with these ideas, you can blow all my works out of the water. Anyway, with this out of the way, let us begin.
Ice Chronicles
Chapter 57: Reimbursement
I exchange blows from my clone, who throws a right hook, but I duck under it and rise with an uppercut. He dodges and retaliates with a mid-kick. I grab his leg and spin him around, throwing him back into a wall. He recovers and rushes me; however, he suddenly disappears and races around the war room. I smirked and raced around with him while still exchanging blows. Our fists collide and push us back, a stinging sensation surging through our bloody knuckles.
I dodge a punch and then throw a high-kick, but my clone deflects it with his wrist and connects a fist to my face. I slid across the floor as my face began to burn. I look up, only to see my clone throwing another fist down. Quickly, I tripped him over and then landed a kick in his descending face, knocking him away. I rise to my feet and pant vigorously in an attempt to catch my breath. Carmen is the only one supervising me while my girls are still sleeping. My clone gets back up and wipes the blood from his mouth. We soften our expressions and stare at one another.
"Boss, what's the problem? You're spacing out a lot; I know your attacks are much more powerful than that," my clone said. I rubbed the sweat off my off face and let out a heavy sigh.
"I'm sorry; I just have a lot on my mind."
I felt a hand clamp on my shoulder and saw my clone standing next to me.
"I know what's troubling you. You're still thinking about the plan."
I nod my head. "Yeah, it's still clouding my mind."
"I can tell, but take it from me, well you; I know you can get everyone through this. If you don't, who will?" My clone asks. I let out another sigh.
"I know you're-I'm right, but it's the leader who makes the decisions while the soldiers follow them to a T. What if my choices are the wrong ones?"
"That's why you're the leader, because you'll make sure not to. Think on it; I have to go now. I had fun sparring with you, boss."
The clone dematerialized and returned back to me. I released a heavy breath and told Carmen to shut down the room. She followed my order and went to sleep. I turned to leave, but a powerful blast of wind hit me in the face and sent me to the ground. I groaned and rubbed my head.
"Ah, that hurt. What the heck was that?" I sat up and felt a gentler wind blow in my face. A piece of cloth slithered towards me and lifted me to my feet.
"I figured you three would be here."
Akitsu, Uzume, and Kazehana appeared before me. Uzume retracted the cloth and let it wrap around her arm.
"Shouldn't you three be sleeping?"
"We should be asking you the same thing," Uzume said. "Why are you training so early in the morning? We all could've trained together; you don't need to do it alone."
I shook my head. "I'm too weak."
The three narrowed their eyes at me.
"Hey now; don't talk about yourself that way. Why do you keep calling yourself weak?" Kazehana questions.
"It's true; I am too weak and need to become stronger. That's why I was training. I need to become stronger," I stated. SMACK! Akitsu suddenly slapped me. All three of us stared in shock at her, as she glared at me. I rubbed the cheek she slapped, feeling her attack power has definitely increased since last time.
"Ah, that hurt worse than the wind blast! Akitsu, why did you."
I flinched at the serious and deadly glare she was given me. I never felt nor believed she could release this amount of anger. Even Uzume and Kazehana backed away from her as she advanced towards me and pounded my chest.
"Stop badmouthing yourself like that! You're not weak and you're not useless. You're already strong master so why must you consistently doubt your capabilities. You're better than that; you know you're stronger than that."
Uzume placed a hand on her shoulder. "Akitsu please calm down. Ren already has a lot on his mind. He doesn't need to be pressured any more than he already is."
Akitsu eased her expression and buried her head in my chest while gripping my shirt.
"I'm sorry master; I didn't mean to snap at you, but I hate it when you doubt yourself like that. It's not like you. We know you're strong enough to get through this. How do you think we feel about this? We're just as nervous as you are, but we know it will be all right because we have you."
I wrapped an arm around her and held the other out for Uzume and Kazehana. They followed my gesture and joined in the hug. I rested my forehead on Kazehana's head.
"I don't know what to do; it's all too hard to get over. We're risking it all to win it all, but I don't know if I can do it. I mean look, most of you wouldn't even be mine if I never went to the park to meet Akitsu. I never planned to go there, but I felt something tugging at me and went anyway. If I ignored that calling, you all would've never found me. Akitsu would be with Mikogami. Tsukiumi would most unlikely be with Seo, Musubi and Matsu only found me because I winged Akitsu and Tsukiumi so they would've never came. Yomi would be with Mikogami as well. Uzume, you would've been Higa's sekirei instead and Chiho would still be hospitalized. Kazehana, you only found me because you've been watching me ever since I fought Mutsu, which again, wouldn't have happened if I never found Akitsu; and Toyo would also be Higa's sekirei."
"That's why we're so much happier being with you. Mikogami is just a spoiled brat and Higa doesn't care about anything except his company," Uzume said. "Ren, you have to realize that you're not doing this alone. You have Jason and his sekirei, along with Kai and his sekirei; and you have us. You're not alone Ren; you have people to help you. Look in front of you; we're all here to help you. Stop being so hardheaded and just listen to us."
"Ren darling; do you remember what I told you the other day? I said there comes a time when you have to lean on someone. You can only get so far alone," Kazehana reminded me. I sighed.
"I get what you're trying to tell me, but it's still too hard to take in. We're going up against MBI, a powerful, multibillionaire company, with forces that can pretty much take over the world. I have to lead a crusade against them and find victory; but at the same time, I'm putting too many people's lives in danger. I'm risking your life, Jason's life, Kai's, and their sekirei. I'm risking my life and everyone else caught in the crossfire. I don't want to be responsible for so many people's deaths. We may be able to bring back a sekirei from termination, but not humans; and I can tell many are going to die if we do this."
"That's how it has to be then," Kazehana replied. She lifted her head and kissed my lips. "Darling, you need to remember that sekirei are made to fight. We're made to protect our ashikabi and fight for them, but people are going to die regardless if we do this or not. If we do this, you'll be saving those who from having to go through the same experience. You can bring back those who have perished and let them find their true love again. You can change Teito and make it free again. It's all up to you Ren, no matter what happens; we will follow you through it all."
She rested her head on my chest again, as Uzume and Akitsu gave me a peck on the lips.
"We believe in you Ren. We all have faith in you, but you need to believe in your own strength first. The thing that's holding you back is your own doubt. Do you remember the time you jumped out that window and scared us all to death? Did you doubt yourself then? No, you had to muster the confidence to jump out and land successfully. What about the time you battled the Discipline Squad when Minaka issued that bounty? You knew there was no escape and managed to hold your own somehow. Think about it Ren; you're much more powerful than you realize. You just have to believe in yourself. I know it's cliché but this is the best way to explain it. You need to have faith in your own strength first before accepting the help of your teammates," my cloth manipulator said. Akitsu nodded in agreement and gave me another peck on the lips. It was starting to get inevitable and the pressure was still too great on me. I couldn't stop thinking about the consequences, but the many hours of lovemaking I just did with my three sekirei managed to calm me down a little.
We all went to sleep in our respective rooms, mostly because Uzume and Akitsu were too tired to come to my room to sleep. So Kazehana joined me instead; however, Toyo was waiting for us with her arms crossed under her breasts and a smirk across her lips.
"I knew I heard people shifting down the hall. I looked in your rooms and found you missing. So after coming up with the conclusion, I waited here to join in on the fun."
She hopped off the bed and strutted towards me, already rubbing her target.
"You can keep going; I know after Plan Alpha, you were still up and running while we all slept like a baby. Give me some more love."
Another couple of hours later, Kazehana and Toyo remained asleep as I woke up from my slumber. It was ten in the morning so I hopped in the shower and washed myself clean. After jumping out, I kissed the sleeping beauties' forehead and headed downstairs where my other girls greeted me.
"Well look who decided to join us. You must've been exhausted," Matsu said. I nodded my head.
"Yeah, I was up all night training and doing some thinking."
"Why were you training so early?" Yomi took a sip of juice.
"Helped clear my head; I couldn't sleep so I decided to head to the war room. I was training with one of my clones until Kazehana, Akitsu, and Uzume found me. We all talked for a bit, trained some more, and then headed off to bed finally," I explained. "Honestly, I'm still a little tired."
"Aw, you poor baby," Yomi hugged me and nuzzled my chest. "You need to rest more, take a nap. Do you know what would be perfect?"
I shook my head. "Yomi; I said the week before the final phase."
She snapped her fingers. "It was worth a shot, but seriously, you need to rest more. Go lie down on the couch and enjoy yourself. We will be in the training room."
"Hold on, Tsukiumi; you stay with me. The rest of you can go," I said. My blonde haired wife blushed at the decision and quickly appeared to my side. She seized my arm.
"Since my husband needs me, I shall assist in any way I can."
I could see the jealousy in most of their eyes. "Do you really need to be jealous in this situation? Is that really such a good idea at the moment, or at all?"
Yomi opened her mouth to speak but couldn't come up with a retort and closed it. Matsu snickered.
"Don't have too much fun now," she walked off. The others followed, leaving me alone with my water sekirei. I plopped down on the couch and stared at the ceiling. Tsukiumi hovered above me with a worried look on her face.
"What's the matter husband? Thee looks depressed and I don't like that. Tell me what's wrong," she sat at the end and offered her lap as pillow. I accepted her offer and looked at her face.
"Tsukiumi, if we succeed and end the sekirei plan, what will you do afterwards?"
She tilted her head. "What else will I do? I will live peacefully with my husband and marry him like Jason will with his wife."
I let out a sigh. "I see you've been thinking about it."
She nodded and began rubbing my head. "What will you do?"
I shrugged. "I told Akitsu I might become a writer and start making books."
Tsukiumi smiled and giggled. "That sounds like something thou would be great at. Thee has a way with words, but I know that's not the problem. Talk to me husband. Let thy wife help you."
I flip over and nuzzle her lap, feeling her fingers gently drag through my head.
"I'm not sure if I can do this Tsukiumi. I mean I know I have to, but now that we're so close, I'm just so nervous. I'm scared to think what would happen if I fail. You're all counting on me to lead you to victory, but I don't know if I'm leader material. If anything, you should all follow Kai instead of me. He's stronger, better, faster,"
"But he's not smarter," Tsukiumi cut me off. She tilted my head to see her angry eyes. "I've told thee millions of times I will not tolerate belittling of any kind, especially about you. I refuse to listen to thy senseless words about thy incompetence. It's untrue, irrelevant, and I will not tolerate it, dost thou understand me?"
"Then what should I do Tsukiumi? You want me to lead pretty much a small army on a crusade against the company that brought you all to me; how can I possibly pull that off? This isn't some simple fight we're going to; it's basically war we're starting. By doing this, we will be starting a war against MBI, who will stop at nothing in making us fail. Getting past the Discipline Squad will be hard enough, but taking on the entire company is nearly impossible. I may be smart Tsukiumi, but I am only human. I don't have the vast knowledge Matsu possesses, the monstrous strength Musubi wields, the element you and my other users grace around, or the skills that Kai retains. You will be better off following Kai's orders because I will only bring."
BAM! Tsukiumi punched me hard in the stomach, extracting the air from my lungs. I arched up and rolled onto the floor, clutching my stomach while gasping painfully for air. I groggily rose to my feet, opened an eye, only to see another punch fly in my face, and throw me to the wall. I slid to my butt and grabbed my face, shaking in the pain. I never knew Tsukiumi could punch so hard. My face was throbbing as I rolled on the floor, grunting in pain. Soon, I felt Tsukiumi hold me in place and straddled my waist. I removed my hands to see her, only to be slapped incredibly hard. Now my cheek stung with a burning sensation, but she didn't stop there. Tsukiumi repeatedly slapped me with an angry fire in her eyes. I caught her wrists and stopped her assault; she tried pushing through my grip, but I held her at bay. My face and cheeks continued to burn as I felt blood fall down the side of my mouth.
I roll around and flip us over with me on top. I pinned Tsukiumi's arms down above her. She tried breaking free, even using her legs to kick me in the back. I give her a kiss on the lips, but she turned her head.
"Thee dost not deserve my kisses, not after what I heard. I refuse to give in to such senseless squabble."
"Tsukiumi."
"I don't want to hear it! You've said enough, saying such things in front of thy wife. Have thee no shame?" She turned back to look at me. "How can my husband lie there and tell thy wife all this spineless nonsense?"
"Tsukiumi; I'm."
"Not my husband!" She interrupted again. "My husband would not badmouth himself in such a spineless manner; he would believe in his capabilities and the help he's receiving. My husband wouldn't spout nonsense about being weak when I have not seen one ounce of such rubbish. My husband is strong, kind, compassionate, considerate, wonderful, and loving; he wouldn't be badmouthing his abilities but find a way to make them work. He wouldn't insult himself; he would let his wife take care of him and let her soothe his pain."
Her expression started to calm. "Thee should let me help. I don't like it when my husband acts this way and it pains me inside to see it happen."
She moved her hands and intertwined our fingers. "I know thee is strong to see through this. I know thee has what it takes to free all the enslaved sekirei. Dost thou remember when our first meeting? I attacked thee and tried to kill thee, but now I regret doing so because if succeeded, I would've never found my true love. Thee knows why I hated ashikabis, because I believed they merely wished to ravish and enslave me, but after becoming thy wife, I've changed my views a little. There are still ashikabis who still behave as I despise, but it makes my heart pound to know I have one who isn't like the rest."
I cupped her cheek. "Tsukiumi, you know how powerful of an enemy we're dealing with. I just don't see what else I can do. I've been thinking and thinking, but nothing comes to mind. I don't know what to do. I don't know how to go about this."
"Stop worrying husband; nothing good will come from worrying. I understand that it's a lot for thee to take in, but thee knew this would happen. This wasn't going to be easy from the beginning, we're still planning on seeing through to the end," she said. She pushed my hands away and wrapped her arms around my neck, pulling me down until our lips met in a gentle kiss.
"Will you let me ease thy stress?"
She pulled me back down and hugged me tight, wrapping her leg around my thigh. She placed her head in the nape of my neck and nuzzled it.
"I believe in thy strength. I have faith that thee will lead us to victory and set the enslaved ones free."
She kissed my cheek and began sucking on my neck.
P.O.V Change Jason
I sit on the porch of the backyard, watching Yashima and Nanami spar. My hammer wielder slams her weapon down, but Nanami dodges it and thrusts her spear. Yashima recovered and blocked the stab. The hammer possessed more defense and staggered the spear wielder. Yashima then rushed Nanami and swung her hammer. It slammed into her side and made her fly into the fence. Nanami got back up and shook her head. She grabbed her spear and leaped into the air. Suddenly, a charge of lightning began sparking on the tip of her spear.
"Thunder Thrust!" She cried and struck down. Yashima used her hammer to defend, but it conducted the electricity and shocked her either way. She dropped the hammer in the process and dropped to her knees. Nanami touched ground and pointed her spear at the vulnerable Yashima. The two smiled and giggled, as Nanami helped Yashima stand. They continued to giggle and walked back to me; however, they were completely unaware of the massive holes covering the field. Ever since we came back from our trip, they've been a lot happier, and their attacks seem to have become much stronger. Like Ikki, their powers have increased after we had sex. The good part is they don't constantly request it unlike a certain fiancé of mine. Luckily, she hasn't asked ever since returning as well, but during the trip, it was a completely different matter.
"Did you have fun you two? I assume so considering the amount of damage you've caused," I pointed out the holes. They gasped at the sight and looked frantically back and forth. "You two had so much fun that you never noticed how much power you released. Lucky for us, Miya is out shopping. We better fix the place up before she gets back."
They quickly nodded and fetched little Kusano, who used her powers to make the earth reform and flora to grow, making the yard seem as though nothing happened. Ikki giggled at the situation.
"I guess they found out how much stronger they get when they have sex with Jason."
I quickly cover her mouth, but it was too late. Kaho snapped her head towards me.
"Wait a minute what? You had sex with Yashima and Nanami? When was this and where was I?"
"Um, well, blame Ikki," I pushed my fiancé forward, causing eyes to focus on her. She cleared her throat.
"Yashima and Nanami asked me if it would be alright to have sex with Jason. I told them I didn't care, so long as they don't hog him. They were too nervous to tell him so I passed on the message."
"While threatening to hit me," I added. She glared at me.
"You had a huge grin on your face."
"You can't blame me. What guy wouldn't be happy to be in a threesome with his lovers?"
"He has a point you know," Homura backed me up.
"Thank you."
"Anyway, I passed on the message and let him have his fun, too much fun if you ask me," Ikki finished her story.
"You still can't blame me. They wanted me, and I delivered," I chuckled. "Should've asked Kaho; I would've still said yes."
Ikki opened her mouth to speak. "Ah, you said they could have sex with as long as they don't hog, did you not just say that?"
She closed her mouth and snapped her fingers. I laughed again at my victory; however, soon my phone vibrated.
"Hold on, I have to take this."
I answered the phone without even bothering to check the idea. I just assumed it was Ren.
"Hello?"
The other end remained quiet.
"Hello? Ren is that you?"
"No Jason," the other end said. My eyes widened in pure shock, as my arms began trembling. The others noticed my condition and gathered around.
"Jason, what's the matter?" Ikki asked. I didn't listen and focused on the caller.
"Jason, it's your mother," my mom introduced.
A/N: BAM! Cliffhanger! Aren't I just the worse? Hahaha, well I hope you all weren't expecting that. Honestly, I think it's time to settle the matter between mother and son don't you think? Let me know what you think of the chapter in a review or pm please. If you have any ideas, praise, or anything else you wish to tell me, let me know. I do apologize for the shortness, but I couldn't think again, even with the ideas you've all gave me. I still couldn't think properly; I don't know what's wrong either. Oh well, this has been MalevolentDarkness16, and I will see you all in the next chapter. Take care.
