Chapter Eleven: Control

The days passed by relatively easily. Axel kept his word to Zexion, going to Café Nocturne to talk with Demyx (who only bitched about the huge mistake Axel made. As if he needed to be reminded of it) and on more than one occasion, Zexion.

Except for the one day Axel noticed that spiky haired brunet sitting next to Zexion, sipping an iced tea casually while speaking with the bassist of Twilight. The café in general was empty. Demyx grinned, waving the redhead over. "Hope you're ready for your funeral," he said happily. "Meet Sora Strife, Roxas' younger brother."

Sora turned to face the redhead, and Axel cursed at the sight of his eyes, which were an exact replica of Roxas', cerulean pools filled with light. But instead of kind light, Sora's eyes were filled with anger. "You must be Axel. Roxas told me a lot about you."

Zexion stood and walked over to lock the door, and Sora made his way to stand right in front of Axel. The poor boy didn't even make it up to his chin. "You're a real big fuck up, you know that?"

"So I've been told," Axel replied calmly, sending a glare in Zexion's direction as the silent man sat down.

"I don't really know how to react now that I've met the ass that slept with my brother."

"I don't know how to react to meeting my friend's younger brother that I was told can probably kill me."

Sora shrugged. "I guess I can accept that as a logical answer. But I won't kill you. It would make me look bad. Let's start over. I'm Sora Strife, Roxas' younger brother." He stuck his hand out, and Axel looked at it skeptically.

He took it nonetheless. "Axel Lea, Roxas' friend."

"And one-night stand!" Demyx chimed happily.

"Dem, no."

"Dem, yes," Demyx winked, but winced when Zexion punched him in the arm over the counter. "Ow, Zexy, stop bullying me all the time!"

Sora chuckled. "I'm glad those two are getting along. You should have seen Zexion when he and Demyx first met. He wanted nothing to do with Demyx." He let out a soft smile. "But this is nice."

Axel nodded, still a little apprehensive about this younger Strife sibling. "Just because I'm relaxed by you like this doesn't mean that I forgive you, in case you're wondering," Sora suddenly said quietly. "Roxas is really upset by this whole thing. He can usually control himself when he's intoxicated, but this was new. He's even surprised on how he acted."

The redhead looked at the younger male in shock. "But if I remember correctly," he squinted. "He was the one that started it. He came onto me."

"That's what he told me, too," Sora agreed. "So I'm trying to figure out why he could have done something like this."

So it's been much longer than it needed to be for me to get an update out of my asscrack, and it doesn't help that it's short, but we've finally met Sora! We'll delve into his character more after the problem between Roxas and Axel clears up.

Hopefully the next chapter will be longer, because I'll be on summer vacation by then and will have more time to write.
