20 Things You Wished You Knew - Teddy
1. Despite Andromeda's pleas for a "proper" name, Ted's full name is Teddy, not Theodore or Edward.
2. He was born on the 10th of April 1998 – 3 weeks before the Battle of Hogwarts
3. He was raised by Andromeda until she died when he was only eleven months old. He barely remembers her.
4. Harry and Ginny legally adopted him after Andromeda's death, and he would call them Mum and Dad in private. In public they were just Harry and Ginny though. He still doesn't know why.
5. He was always considered a Weasley-Potter grandchild, and his cousins got really angry at anyone who said otherwise. Even him.
6. He's a metamorphmagus like his mother, but his natural state is almost a spitting image of his father.
7. At Hogwarts he was a Gryffindor, and began Auror training straight out of school, just like his mother, Harry and Uncle Ron.
8. His hair is the only body part he regularly changes, and it changes with his mood. His favourite colour however is turquoise and it is always that colour when he is content.
9. Harry and Ginny taught him to play Quidditch at a young age, and he always played chaser at the family matches.
10. At school he decided not to try out for the House team, instead commentating from his third year, getting in trouble often for his Lee Jordan-esque commentary.
11. He was popular at school – both as a friend and romantic interest – however his best friend was always Victoire.
12. He was fiercely protective of all of his cousins and siblings, however he always kept an extra vigilant watch over Lily, being the only one who could really remember how close she had come to dying when she was born.
13. Despite numerous offers he only had one girlfriend before Victoire, and she only lasted for two weeks before he realised he really fancied Victoire.
14. He asked Victoire out in the summer between her sixth and seventh years. That September 1st was one of the hardest days of his life.
15. He finally proposed to Victoire on the 20th September 2019. They got married exactly six months later.
16. He and Victoire had four children: Leilani Dora, twins Eleanor Kathryn and John Theodore and Elijah Harry.
17. He always felt like he owed his life to Lily Evans-Potter not just for saving Harry, but also for just being a friend to his father when he had needed one. He only ever told Victoire that Leilani's name honoured not only her two Grandmothers, but Lily as well.
18. He purposely named his sons after Remus and Harry – his two fathers.
19. Sometimes he felt bad that Ginny had not been honoured in his children's names, but Eleanor reminded him so much of her some days that it didn't really seem to matter.
20. Harry was his hero – not for what he did in the war, but for how he rebuilt his life afterward, including making sure a tiny orphan always had a family.
