20 Things You Wish You Knew - Dominique
Dom was born on the 12th August 2002,
Her full name is Dominique Ginevra Weasley, named after her Aunt Ginny, who is also her Godmother.
Most of her friends call her Dom, but only her family is allowed to call her Dommie.
Quiet and fiercely loyal, Dom is both the first Weasley-Potter to not be sorted into Gryffindor and the only Weasley-Potter to be sorted into Hufflepuff.
Like Teddy and Victoire Dom also played Chaser during their weekend Quidditch matches, and was on the Hufflepuff team during her fifth, sixth and seventh years.
Despite having friends at school, Dom's closest friends were always her sister and cousins, especially Teddy, Molly and Lucy as they were the closest to her in age.
Dominique loves clothes and fashion, and enjoys designing and making clothes for her cousins' birthdays, Christmas and any other little occasion that may occur.
She considered being a fashion designer after school, but instead chose to become a paediatric Healer, keeping fashion as a hobby.
During her Healer training she spent two days a week at Hogwarts under Madam Pomfrey, and always sat with her cousins at lunch unless there was an emergency that prevented her from leaving the hospital wing.
Dominique is the most loyal of all the Weasley-Potters, and was always the first to go after anyone who so much as looked at her cousins the wrong way.
She had strong House pride, but even stronger cousin pride, and was known for cheering against her own team if one of her cousins was playing Quidditch. At first this annoyed her Housemates, but in time they came to love her for it.
When she began Healer training she became friends with Matthew Jacobson, a Ravenclaw in her year who only knew her for her fame. She shocked him with her humility and down-to-earth nature instead of being all caught up in her family's fame.
Dom married Matthew on the 30th July 2024, only weeks before her 22nd birthday.
She and Matthew had three daughters – Cassiopeia Mariah, Lillianna Elizabeth and Gabrielle Anastasia.
Dominique made a conscious decision to not name her girls after anyone. Although she loved her family, she wanted her daughters to be 100% free to be themselves.
She delivered all of her siblings' and cousins' babies, and continued to treat them until they got too old for the paediatric ward. They usually ended up flooing to her anyway instead of going to St Mungo's
Dom's favourite day of the week was always Sunday, because it didn't matter how old she was, it was always spent with her family.
Dominique was the most creative of the cousins, and loved to plan arts and craft projects for Sundays in the Room of Requirement, especially coming up to birthdays or holidays.
Dominique has one Godchild – her niece Leilani Lupin-Potter.
Like Victoire, she instinctively mentored her younger cousins, especially through relationships. She strove to keep them innocent and unharmed for as long as possible, and grieved with them when they got hurt.
