The next day, was set out as a hunt for predacon bones. The Insecticons were the first to fail to retrieve the first found bone. Shockwave took it upon himself to go with the next soldiers, to increase chances of retriving such relics. Meanwhile everyone was busy, with project predacon. Soundwave was bored out of his processor. He was currently piloting the ship, falling asleep at the wheel. The ship soon started to dip into a nose dive, from lack of control, thanks to Soundwave being in his boredom coma. The sudden change of gravity woke Soundwave's sensors. *Oh scrap oh scrap oh scrap!* Soundwave quickly corrected the ships course, causing the ship to dip as if it had gone over a huge wave, in the ocean. "Soundwave!" Megatron's angered voice came on quicker then Soundwave had expected. *We hit a wave!* Soundwave quickly ended the call. The next thing Soundwave heard was the doors swishing open. "We are not on that kind of ship!" Megatron growled. "I was avoiding a flying fish?" Soundwave tilted his helm innocently. Megatron just shot his youngling a glare that said "really?" Megatron rolled his optics. "I'm bored, can't I do something else?" Soundwave whined. "Yes actually you can" Megatron sighed. "Really!?" Soundwave excitedly replied. "Yes. Since you seemed to prove yourself at fighting skills against me." Megatron started. "Shockwave seems to be in peril, by Optimus prime and a of course his scout and new idiot" Megatron scoffed. "You want me to go help him?" Soundwave questined. "More of a rescue, rather than help. Shockwave seems to have gone a little over his head" Megatron shook his helm. "Ok I'm on it!" Soundwave was ready to set a bridge. "Oh and do make sure you focus on Prime. He is the biggest threat. Shockwave can handle a couple of lap dogs" Megatron informed. "Um... Of course I will." Soundwave nodded uneasily. "That's a good youngling" Megatron patted Soundwave's helm, as he walked past to leave. Soundwave sighed, making a bridge. He was not looking forward to battling his Uncle.
Soundwave transformed and quickly flew through the bridge. Leaving it open for Shockwave to run through, Soundwave fired distracting the scout and warrior, for a few brief seconds. Before engaging Optimus Prime. Soundwave fired at Optimus keeping the prime in pursuit. Hopping Shockwave would hurry up and retrive the relic. But the two soldiers seemed to be distracting Shockwave from his task. Soundwave did a quick scan of Optimus, and noticed that he was starting to get irritated by him. Soundwave quickly made a back up plan, deploying Laserbeak, if Optimus decided to suddenly fire back at him. And Optimus did exactly as Soundwave had predicted. "Enough!" Optimus growled, Using his shiney new turret, he fired mutiple shots at Soundwave. A couple bullets managed to hit Soundwave's right wing, with enough force to throw him off balance. Optimus continued to fire only for a few more seconds, as Lazerbeak went on the attack. Laserbeak managed to hit Optimus with a bullet, and attach to his get back, zapping Optimus with short circuiting electricity. Stalling the jetpacks functions, Prime came crashing into the bridge supports and into the ravine. Soundwave was struggling to fly with his injury, and quickly landed on the ground. Running to the cliffs edge Soundwave looked into the ravine to make sure that Optimus was down. Seeing the prime pathetically crawling was a good enough answer. *Good, now come on Shockwave!* Soundwave turned to watch Shockwave continue to battle against the two. Shockwave was ready to terminate his cousin when Smokescreen interrupted. Shockwave quickly tossed him aside, and was going for the finale blow, when Smokscreen used the phase shifter to swiftly dodge the hit. Smokescreen took a hold of the relic and pulled, trying to yank it out of the scientists claws. Bumblebee soon joined in the game of tug of war. Soundwave face palmed, they looked like sparkling fighting over a toy. But then the bone snapped and a piece of it flew off the bridge and was heading down to the prime. Optimus's jetpack came back online, and he charged into the sky after the relic. *Scrap!* Soundwave silently gasped. "Megatron prepare to recieve the relic via bridge from above" Soundwave commed. Soundwave quickly calculated the velocity of the relic, and quickly fired the bridge in the correct spot, directly above the prime. Crushing the primes victory into the ground. Shockwave couldn't have been more proud of the youngling. "We have all that we need" Shockwave turned to Soundwave on the cliff. Soundwave reattached and quickly transformed flying his over to the still open bridge. Although his injury was no longer smoking, the air hitting it stung. His cousin and Smokescreen pathetically fired at Soundwave in defeat, as both he and Shockwave disappeared through the bridge, that suddenly closed.
Shockwave didn't hesitate for a moment, to get straight to his research. "Shockwave" Megatron grabbed the scientists attention. "I understand that you engaged Optimus" Megatron spoke with venom. "Only in order to retrive the specimen Lord Megatron" Shockwave replied. "I believed that you had perished once" Megatron picked up the bone. "My most prised engineer" the warlord examined the relic, keeping the venom in his tone. "And I highly doubt that project predacon can be completed without you" Megatron finished. "I shall leave the fetching of bones to Starscream. And confine myself to my laboratory. In order to accelerate the results" Shockwave replied. Megatron smirked "Excelent. For I am rather impatient, to witness my army of beasts. Trample human kind, under foot" Megatron placed the bone back down. "Understood" Shockwave nodded, as Knockout gave him a tool he had requested, going back to his work. Megatron smiled and left the laboratory with heavy footsteps.
Soundwave was busy working on a monitor in the bridge. but was first filling out a report, for the recent mission he just accomplished. But was struggling to do so, from his injury to his right servo. Due to Optimus prime and his new weapon, the shots that had hit him, had gone threw his wing hitting his servo hidden inside it. Soundwave knew Knockout was busy tending to Shockwave's needs, and did not want to interrupt. The soldiers around him could clearly see the pain his servo caused everytime he attempted to type on the keypad. Steve approached the youngling with concern. "Are you ok?" Steve asked with concern in his tone. Soundwave nodded attempted to type again, stilling his servo as a wave of pain coursed through it. "You sure?" Steve asked, noticing the damaged sevo twitch in pain. Soundwave gave another hesitant nod and continued on working. "Just let me see your..." Megatron entered, and interrupted Steve from saying anything further. "Get back to your post!" Megatron hissed, stopping behind Soundwave. Steve quickly obliged running back to his registered monitor. "Soundwave, you did excellent at retriving the relic" Megatron praised reading Soundwave's monitor. Soundwave nodded in acknowledgment. Megatron then squinted his optics, reading the scrambled cybertronian letters on Soundwave's monitor, half of them making words. Megatron's expression turned from proud to confusion. Soundwave had never filled out a report like that before. Megatron scratched his helm and looked off to the side. "Soundwave are you..." Megatron began to question, before his optics caught the limp injured servo. "Soundwave you're injured!" Megatron gasped. *No I'm fine!* Soundwave hid his servo by his stomach. "Don't lie to me let me see it" Megatron spoke firmly. *Fffine...* Soundwave turned, lifting his injured servo to his father. Megatron gently placed it his is massive servo, recieving a flinch from Soundwave. "What happened?" Megatron calmly asked, examining the servo carefully. *Optimus and his new weapons happened* Soundwave sighed. "Well clearly he did internal damage. I can't see anything" Megatron ran a servo over Soundwave's injured one. Soundwave held his breath in pain. Megatron then stopped at Soundwave's wrist joint, and applied pressure. *Ow Ow dad!* Soundwave whimpered squirming in pain. The squirming looked like a dance to the soldiers, some of them even giggled. "That's not funny! He's in pain!" Steve hissed, at his friends. The laughing soldiers quickly shut up when Megatron shot them an angered glare. *Knockout!?* Soundwave hissed in pain. "Yes, come" Megatron kindly escorted Soundwave out of the bridge. "You guys are going to get offlined by Megatron" Steve teased. "Shut up Steve!" all Eradicon soldiers shouted. "Alright... geez..." Steve went back to his work.
Entering the medbay, and laboratory, Shockwave was busy at work, while Knockout cleaned his medical tools. "Knockout Soundwave is injured!" Megatron snapped, stopping Soundwave in front of the medic. Shockwave gazed up from his scans, as Megatron stomped over to him. "My youngling was injured while distracting the prime to aid you! Why did you not inform me of this!" Megatron bellowed at his scientist. "Lord Megatron I was being distracted myself by two other Autobots. Therefore I did not see Soundwave get hit" Shockwave quickly replied. "The injury is not dire is it?" Shockwave scoffed. "No. But is causing sever pain, and is hampering Soundwave's working ability!" Megatron hissed. "Nothing doctor Knockout can't fix" Knockout crooned, searching around in a cupboard. "What is it?" Megatron walked back over to Soundwave, with Shockwave. Knockout pointed to the scans on the medical berth. Shockwave picked up the data pad, reading it with his Lord. "Well seems like the big O, gave some significant internal damage. Severing several main joint circuits, that will mend themselves with enough time. That is why he's getting such intense pain" Knockout tossed things out of cupboards and shelves. "Yeah I'm taking you out of the field until it's repaired" Knockout added. "And how are we going to keep it out of harms way?" Megatron moved aside to miss a flying wrench, that ended up hitting Shockwave in his helm. "For Primus sake! What the frag are you looking for!?" Shockwave hissed, rubbing his helm. "Found it!" Knockout pulled out some odd object the was silver and with two glowing aqua stripes. "It's a protective brace that will keep your servo out of harms way, and speed up repairs, it's got a gravity mender inside. It will repair your severed joint circuits" Knockout approached Soundwave with the brace. "No way you're not putting that on me!" Soundwave refused the brace. "Soundwave it will help with the pain, and it will enhance repairs, then you can get back into the fields" Knockout encouraged. "Nuh uh" Soundwave shook his helm stubbornly. Shockwave rolled his optic, and flicked Soundwave injured wrist joint. "OW!" Soundwave yelped, pulling his servo away in pain. "Oh I'm sorry did that hurt? Put the damn brace on!" Shockwave gesturing to Knockout. Shockwave knew that was a bold move he just pulled infront of Megatron. Shockwave was praying that Soundwave would not start crying. "Knockout how long will it take to heal?" Soundwave growled turning to the doctor. "Hmm a few hours" Knockout shrugged. "Good, shockwave wh this is healed you're so losing that optic!" Soundwave threatened. "Why can't you use your other servo, to take it out?" Megatron asked, folding his arms. "Don't tell him tha..." Shockwave waved his servo, before getting punched hard by Soundwave. "You little!" Shockwave hissed, rubbing his helm. "Shockwave!" Megatron hissed pointing back to the laboratory. Shockwave got the hint, and grumbled on his way back to the lab. "Hey I wasn't finished with hi..." Soundwave started to challenge. "Soundwave hey!" Megatron held Soundwave on the table. "You'll get another chance killer" Knockout chuckled, putting the brace on Soundwave. "Is it healed yet?" Soundwave asked, hopping off the table. "Soundwave I just put it on!" Knockout gave an annoyed sigh. "Hey at least it looks like you have an arm now. Usually you turn sidways, and disappear!" Shockwave scoffed, from his laboratory. Soundwave grabbed a wrench off the floor, and tossed it. Hitting Shockwave in the back of the helm. Shockwave held the back of his helm, turning and glaring at Soundwave. "Kid I'm going to dismantle you!" Shockwave growled, as Soundwave approached him. "Love you to Uncle Shocky!" Soundwave hugged his one opticed uncle.
