Yuè stood up and looked across from him, taking a second to look down at Crane then again focusing on Po. "Is this some game you grazers want to play? 'Cus right now I'm not in the mood for games." he said losing his temper. Po approached the wolf and stared down at him, the panda being about a head taller than the canine. "I don't play when someone's trying to kill my friends." Po said in a serious tone.
Yuè was puzzled and then looked down at the blade in his hand and chuckled, "This? I wasn't gonna kill him. It's a sleep dart. I don't kill unless it's necessary. Besides, you're worth more alive, if you really are the Dragon Warrior." he challenged.
Yuè turned to move back to his spot at the edge of the sparring circle as Po moved Crane to a safer spot near the others. "You'd better be the right guy this time. I don't like wasting my time on fruitless hunts." he said reaching the end of his patience. Wordlessly Po got into his Kung Fu stance as Yuè looked on with his arms crossed, "No talking? Good. Let's get this over with." the wolf growled as he got into his improvised stance.
For a few moments the two warriors sat sizing each other up and waiting to see what their opponent would do. Yuè was the first to move, charging on all fours at Po, while he stood watching and waiting to make his move. When Yuè got in range Po dodged to the side of his swiping claws and grabbed the wolf's tail, flinging him across the yard.
In mid-air Yuè forced his body to the ground, landing on his chest with a thud. "Okay. Let's try this again." he said as he ran to Po again but standing on two feet this time. Po ran forward as well and when the two reached one another they threw a punch, Po's aimed at Yuè's face and Yuè's aimed at Po's. The hits connected, pushing both fighters back a few feet. Po once again attacked Yuè but this time with an axe kick. Yuè was still a little stunned by the punch and was too late to dodge the kick that connected with the top of his skull.
When Yuè hit the floor the force of the kick caused him to create a small crater in the ground that his head was lodged in. For a few moments his body went limp and Po believed him to be knocked out. The panda turned to his friends and have a weak smile, "Glad that's over." he said as he began to approach them. As soon as Po began to move he heard the sound of stone cracking and moving, "Now you're speakin' my language!" Yuè shouted in excitement as he removed his head from the hole.
"Won't you just give up?" Po whined seeing his opponent shake off dirt and stone. "Only when it's not worth my time. And right now, you are definitely worth my time." Yuè said getting back in the Wolf style stance. Po got back into his stance and stood across from Yuè.
Po started the battle with a front kick that Yuè countered by grabbing his leg and flipping him on his back. Yuè thrust his fist down toward his fallen opponent but Po rolled out of the way, Yuè's fist colliding with and breaking stone. Both fighters stood up in their respective stances, Yuè jumped towards Po and punched him in the face, causing the Dragon Warrior to fall to one knee, his face turned away. Taking advantage, Yuè followed up with a roundhouse kick to the side of Po's face, sending him to the ground.
Po picked himself up and brushed his face off with the back of his hand, "You know how to take a hit. I like that." Yuè said as he ran at Po. Po got back in his stance and waited for the lupine to come to him. Yuè reached his desired range and jumped forward, claws unsheathed to swipe at the panda, but Po had other plans. When the wolf got close Po threw his belly out at him, colliding with Yuè and throwing him into the far wall of the sparring yard near the entrance.
Now out cold, Yuè was lodged in an imprint of his body in the wall. Po breathed out a sigh of relief now that the threat was over. "Now, let's get him to Chorh-Gom Prison before he causes anymore trouble." Shifu commanded as the other warriors moved to get the wolf out of the wall. Half way there they all heard what sounded like a low chuckle coming from the wolf in the wall. Suddenly his eyes shot open and a large toothy smile creased his muzzle, "Yeah, you are definitely who I'm lookin' for pal." Yuè said as he removed himself from the wall.
When he landed all warriors of the Jade Palace all got into ready stances preparing for a fight. Yuè held his hands up in front of himself, "I'm done fighting. Just wanted to see if you were the real Dragon Warrior." he confessed not convincing anyone. "Why do you want the Dragon Warrior?" Shifu asked. "Because, I need his help." Yuè said with a more solemn look on his face. Po became curious, "Why?" he asked wanting to know the motives of the stranger. "To help me find my daughter." Yuè said, earning a look of awe on the faces of the warriors before him.
A stunned silence overcame the sparring grounds. "How do we know you're telling the truth? You just attacked us looking for Po and now you're asking for help?" Tigress questioned. The others nodded in agreement, still skeptical about their mysterious uninvited guest. Yuè's fur spiked up in frustration, "Why would I go through all of this for a lie!" he shouted with a growl.
Shifu spoke up, "He's telling the truth." Tigress looked at the master in shock, "You saw what he did to Crane! How can we trust him!" she said in outrage. Shifu shot her a stern look, "I said he's telling the truth, not that we can trust him." Yuè walked past them and began to gather his weapons and cloak, "Let's get this straight. I didn't ask for your help, I asked for the Dragon Warrior's help! So let him decide." he declared, looking to Po for his answer. The panda looked at Yuè with sympathetic eyes, "If he's telling the truth then we have no choice but to help. Whether we trust him or not." Yuè put his cloak on, "Now that that's settled, let's get going panda. We don't have time to lose." he said walking to the red doors.
His walk soon turned into a limp, "S***." he quietly swore as he collapsed to the ground.
