A.N.:

I'M BACK!

Yes, after nearly four months I have finally managed to finish this chapter. Why did it take me so long you ask? Well after not having any writing practice for a while I grew rusty and with my new job I have VERY little time to actually write now, but after many many many many many many many many MANY edits it's finally somewhat readable.

So here comes another chapter. Hopeful the next won't take so long, event though I'm working on The Next Great Adventure as well as trying to finish the last chapter of The Talk With Sirius.

There is no song for this chapter... Mostly because I can't think of one, but next chapter might have several if things go as I am pretty sure they will.

Oh, one last important thing. There is a poll on my page that is VITAL for this story. So if you have a moment (or if you don't, make one) go and do it.

A sigh was slowly exhaled from a certain dark elf's mouth as he slid his hood on over his head, engulfing his features in shadows.

He just couldn't get a break could he?

Agni slid his sword into his belt and picked up his scythe from his shadow while silently opening his door. The day had gone so good until dinner... then to shit had to hit the fan.

An Hour Before

Shock was clear when he saw the old face that stared back down at him. A knife was being held firmly to his throat, but he ignored it as he tried to regain his ability to speak. That face... it had been months since he had seen it last.

"When was the first time you met Nightwing?"

Cursed Shadow stuttered in shock and made to get up, but the knife was firmly pressed against his neck again.

"Answer me!"

Before Agni could spout out a coherent sentence, a batarang was flung across the room toward the old man with a knife.

The old man casually lifted his hand and caught it out of the air. he glanced at it momentarily before his eyes widened in shock, his head jerked up and he spun away from Agni, shooting his hand into the air, gripping Robin's foot. he flung the young human to the side and spun again, catching a kunai that was thrown by Nightwing and then without breaking his flow he grabbed Agni by his hair in a firm grip with his right hand and held the knife at his throat again with his left.

Agni struggled for a moment, but the old man's grip was strong, and happened to be holding his long hair so all he managed was to splutter out a barely coherent "W-wait!"

Superman zoomed up with his fist pulled back to knock the old man off of Agni. Just as he reached him, The portal grew momentarily bigger and Agni screamed at him to halt once more.

Things were about to get seriously out of hand when suddenly Nightwing halted everyone by exclaiming

"Master Bruce?!"

The Rangers all spun around at once before hastily dropping to one knee and kneeling.

Master Bruce Wayne, High General of the Empire, also known as Batman, the Night's Knight, let go of Cursed Shadow and watched the Dark Elf drop to one knee as well.

The Team and Leaguers all looked a bit lost, but before any words that could be spoken, several more people exited the portal.

The first was a tall man, his face could not be seen, for he had a large golden helmet that looked like a painted bucket on his head. He was wearing a long blue robe and golden cape. The eye lids glowed a bright creepy green, casting shadows against the walls.

After him came a tall pale man, on his face was a large blond beard he was stroking as he observed the scene before him. he wore dark green padded leather clothes and a hat with a bright red feather was on his head. Across his back was a large bow that had a long wicked elven knife attached to it.

The third was at first not thought to be human, for a large bear exited the portal. Riding it was a dwarf standing tall at 5'0 in full metal platemail (That is quite tall for a dwarf) a large shield hung off the side next to a large pair of spiked gauntlets.

A smaller figure exited the portal close behind them. He was a small humanoid with a square jaw and bald head. His eyes glowed red for a moment as he surveyed everyone. Unlike everyone else he was quite calm the second he looked around.

Much to everyone's surprise the fifth person was a large elf with skin nearly as dark as Agni. He wore normal clothes for someone of the Ranger's dimension. He was completely unremarkable aside from the large ring that had a huge green gem on his right hand.

The last person through was a redheaded man in a bright yellow spandex. A crooked grin was on his face as he quickly took everything in.

Everyone tensed as Master Bruce surveyed the place. His eyes fell on to his counterpart and they held each others stare for several minutes.

"You never answered my question." Master Bruce said, breaking everyone's stunned silence.

"I met Richie after a job with my Mentor. He attacked me and we fought, but no winner emerged."

"Well I'll be damned" The dwarf on the bear said "Would ya look at where we are..."

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" Green Arrow asked intelligently, staring at the person who looked almost exactly like him... except with a BEARD.

"Hey, Barry look! Remember when I had that dopey Goatee?" Lord Oliver chuckled

"It is NOT dopey!" Green Arrow protested. "It's actually really cool. Aren't I right, Flash?" Green Arrow looked at his friend, but he wasn't paying attention.

The two adult speedsters were staring at each other with fury and having an argument at the speed of light

"Flash!" The Yellow dressed Speedster shouted

"Zoom!" The Flash retorted

"Whatareyoudoinghere?!" Zoom demanded

"WhatareYOUdoinghere?!" Flash shouted back at him "Andwhydoyousoundlikeme?"

"Holdonasecondyourme? WhyareyouwearingtheFlash'scostume?"

"Wemustbeoppositesinourdimensions..."

"Thatwouldmakesense,becauseIamsureBatmankilledFlas hbyshootinghiminthehead."

"Sowecoolthen?" Flash asked

"Yeah,guessso,thereisn'tmuchreasonforustotryandkil leachotherbecausedestinylikestomesswitheveryone."

"ThatmustbewhyWallaceiscalledKidZoom." Flash mused to himself

"Wallaceishere?" Zoom asked excitedly

"Yeahrightoverthere."

Agni looked back and forth between the two speedsters before his head dropped into his hands and he groaned. He could feel the headache already beginning.

Agni sighed and walked over to the rest of his companions. They nodded at him glumly as he walked up and leaned against the wall with them.

The whole mess was cleared in a matter of minutes. Batman and Master Bruce had taken control of the situation.

At one glance at the Rangers, Master Bruce was furious. He glared at them all and barked harshly at them to go get suited up.

As everyones's high spirits began to fall, The Leaguers and Guilders locked themselves in the briefing room leaving the Team and Rangers to wait outside.

"We are in such deep shit." Wallace muttered, fiddling with his bright yellow clothes.

"Did you see how he glared at Agni?" Anna whispered "If looks could kill Agni would was imploded."

Agni shot her a cold look before sighing

"If only we listened to me and followed his rules..."

"Face it Agni." Richie said "We all thought that we were going to be stuck here."

"It matters not what we thought." Agni hissed "Rules are rules. You all refused to listen to me and now I'm the one who has to take our fall."

"Don't act all high and mighty, Agni." Anna said "You disobeyed him just as much as the rest of us."

"Oh really?" Agni retorted "It was my idea to stick with the Team? It was my decision to not be armed, not be prepare and slack on our training?"

"I think I should take offense to that first one." Robin muttered to himself

The Team watched in silence as the Rangers yelled at each other over their predicament. Weapon's were coming close to being drawn when the Briefing Room doors swung open and they were beckoned inside.

The Ranger immediately knelt before their Mentors while the Team stood at the side next to the Leaguers.

Robin glanced up at Batman and noticed a certain look of annoyance and possible disgust on his face.

The rest of the Leaguers held similar looks, Superman's being the most prominent as he looked like he was about to clobber the Guilders all the way back to their dimension.

"I..." Master Bruce began, staring down at them "am most displeased at what I see here."

Agni winced, hearing the anger in his voice.

"I have heard from our counterparts at what has happened here, but I want to hear from you as well." he nodded to the dwarf that was standing next to his bear and to his place next to the rest of the Guilders

Richie looked up in surprise. His adoptive father must have gone soft in the months they were gone for him to even give them a chance to explain.

"Agni Amelani, Cursed Shadow, Black Captain of the Rangers." Superdwarf said in a loud voice "Please stand."

Agni stood and gazed at his superior with a blank face. "I am here and I hear." He said quietly

"Please, explain to us... what has gone on." Clark said, leaning against his bear

Agni cleared his throat "Five months ago, after a particularly hard quest to aid the land of the Clouds with some of Abaddon's attacks, Myself and the Rangers were in the mountain recuperating. We were quite suddenly attacked by Abaddon and the Ogre Mage. He somehow managed to teleport us across dimensions to this place."

"You all landed safely?" Lord Oliver asked. Unlike most of the Guilders, he didn't look very angry that the Rangers seemed to have broken ever rule Bruce had ever set down.

Agni shook his head "I landed in the same place I was in our own mountain. How, I am not quite sure... It is possible be cause I was the first to get hit by Abaddon's spell."

"What happened to everyone else?" said the eerie voice of Wizard Fate

"Within an hour of landing here, I found out that Abaddon and the Rangers were somehow in the streets. I set off to find them with the help of their counterparts, but unfortunately by the time I got there, they had all disappeared to their own ways."

"But you managed to round them up?" Zoom asked

"After about three months everyone was safe. Kal and Roy were the last ones found. They had made their way to Atlantis."

"We are happy to see you all are fine." Wizard Fate said "Batman wishes to discuss... certain problems he has found with you."

The Cursed Shadow gulped and nodded his hooded head.

Master Bruce took a step forward and stared at Agni.

"Take off your hood." he ordered

Agni's hands went up and he jerked off his hood.

"What were my rules about your long hair?"

"To keep it braided so it would not hinder me in battle."

"What did I do earlier?"

"You used it to subdue me..."

Master Bruce nodded before he expression suddenly turned furious as he looked Agni over

"Why in the hells name are your Weapon's out? You all know you are only to use them in dire situations."

Agni looked down shamefacedly "I really can't answer that..."

Master Bruce continued to speak angrily, ignoring the sour looks from the Leaguers and most of his own companions

"What kind of Leader, lets his followers do as they wish?" he scolded "I expected much more than you when I agreed to let you take this position."

Agni now looked up angrily, clenching his teeth "If you recall, I never wanted this position, or to be a Ranger at all. I remember being forced to."

"We had a deal, you had to fulfill your end of it." Master Bruce retorted

"You'll never let me forget it no matter how hard I try." Agni muttered quietly

The old Batman seethed as he glared at everyone "Did you use your Vows?" he asked quietly

Agni shook his head "No, we did not."

"Richie?" Master Bruce said, turning to his surrogate son

"We only use part of it to help out the Team in a particularly difficult battle."

Master Bruce continued to pace as he yelled at the Dark Elf "You have let your teammates do as they wish, you blatantly disregard the rules and and don't even seem regretful."

"I follow all the important rules!" Agni shouted back, feeling his anger rise "Forgive me for not following your indulgences as Richie does."

"Rule number one!" Master Bruce thundered, his voice causing the walls to shake "Trust no one"

"I trust no one, but my teammates. " Agni said defiantly

"Rule number two." The old Batman shouted "Let nothing stop you from completely your mission."

Agni stared at the ground "I tried..."

"Trying, is not good enough." Master Bruce said harshly "There is do and fail."

"We really did try, Bruce." Richie said, speaking up "We killed him twice."

"Be silent, Richard. I'll deal with you next."

Richie stood up and gazed at his mentor "Bruce, really... be understanding."

Master Bruce crossed the short distance between them in a stride, Agni looked down knowing what was to come next and knowing there was nothing he could do about it.

Master Bruce's hand hit Richie's cheek, sending him crashing to the ground.

The young elf took it silently, checking his mouth for blood before standing back up and bowing his head.

"When I say be silent, Richard Grayson, It means to shut your mouth."

Master Bruce turned his head slightly, feeling a presence behind him.

"I really think that is enough." Superman said firmly, anger evident in his eye.

"Keep to yourself Kryptonian." Master Bruce said "This is no concern to you or your dimension."

Superman was about to retort when someone behind him interrupted him

"Leave it be Clark." Agni said

Clark glared at Batman's old counterpart before silently returning to his place with the Leaugers.

Master Bruce took a deep breath before glaring at the rest of the Rangers "I am furious at what I see here." he said "You all will be severely reprimanded when we return home."

The Rangers nodded, sensing his dismissal they all stood up and made to leave.

"I'm not returning."

Richie closed his eyes and hoped he was dreaming. He prayed to god for a moment, hoping that he was imagining things

"What did you say?" Master Bruce asked, staring at the Rangers again, making them all very uncomfortable

Agni pulled off his hood and shook out his mane of blue hair. It had several white streaks in it and it wasn't braided, much to Master Bruce's displeasure.

"I am staying until Abaddon is forever dead." the dark elf said.

"That will be decided by the Guild, Agni." Lord Oliver said gently "I would think it be best for us to leave that topic be for now. We can return to it after we have rested and had time to inform you on what has happened."

Master Bruce nodded and looked at the Rangers "This council is adjourned." he said stiffly

The Rangers bowed again and went to leave when Master Bruce spoke up again

"Oh and Rangers?"

"Yes?" Richie replied quietly fearing his mentor had forgotten something.

"It is good to see you again."

The Rangers paced the room for several minute for their mentors to come out. Now that the formalities were over, they could finally see them properly again.

First to come out was Zoom. He looked around for a moment before his eyes fell onto Wallace. The young elven speedster made a mad dash over to his uncle and embraced him in a bear hug.

"Hello squirt." Zoom said smiling over the head of his nephew "How's this dimension been treating you?"

"It hasn't been too bad. They have this awesome thing here called freeze dried chicken whizzies! They talk absolutely heavenly."

"Really? You must introduce me to such a delicious sounding food."

"I have some in my room! Common!"

the two elven speedsters were gone in a flash.

"Uncle!"

A green blur sped by everyone, latching onto the small green humanoid that followed Zoom, floating casually.

"I have missed you dearly young one." The Martian Manhunter's counterpart said

Megg'n smiled and gripped her uncle tightly "There is so much to tell! the adventure I've been on, the songs and stories I've made while here! It's been like a perfect adventure. except for the fact that you weren't here. That would have probably made it perfect."

"Really?" said the Elder Gnome gazing at his niece kindly

"Was I rambling again?" Megg'n smiled

Her uncle nodded before hugging her again and saying "Come, we have much to talk. Is there a quiet place we can speak?"

Megg'n nodded and pulled her uncle out of the room toward her own.

Lord Oliver slowly came out of the room. Observing his surroundings carefully. He's eyes met the ones of Roy and a large smile spread across his face

"Roy!" he shouted cheerfully, sprinting over to hug his adopted son.

Red Arrow spluttered and pushed the large golden-haired archer off of him.

"Wrong Roy, Ollie. I'm Red Arrow."

Lord Oliver smiled sheepishly and let go of the human archer. He looked around and saw Arsenal standing impassively next to Agni, watching what was going on around them.

"Roy?" Lord Oliver asked "Why are you so short?"

Aresnal growled "I'm not short!"

"You are compared to me and Red." Bloody Arrow said, walking up top them "My Greetings Ollie."

After Lord Oliver and (Elven) Roy shook hands and hugged, Arty wandered over to them.

"Arty!" the elven archer said, bending down to hug his second protegé. "How has life been treating you?"

Arty shrugged, playing with her sling. "Same old same old. I got kidnapped by Abaddon, helped save this dimension's king... kinda boring overall."

Oliver laughed and walked away with his protegés to find out how its been for them.

Arsenal looked at Agni curiously as they left.

"Who's your mentor?"

"He's not here." was the short reply

"But who is he?"

"Slade Wilson." Agni said with a sigh

"Deathstroke, the villain, is your mentor?"

"he's not a villain in my dimension. More like an anti-hero."

Arsenal nodded and looked over to the door as a dwarf walked through leading a bear behind him.

"Father!" Connie shouted

"Lad! How has ye been? Been eatin well?" Superdwarf, otherwise known as Clark Kent, last of the kryptonian plane.

"Been better, father. The mead is is quite nasty." Connie said. He turned to the large bear and rubbed its head "How's Krypto been?"

The large bear roared happily and pounced on its young master in a literal... bear hug.

The door creaked open and Master Bruce walked slowly out of it. He walked over to Richie who was sitting alone in a corner and waited for the young hero to acknowledge his presence

Nightwing looked up and saw his mentor. He quickly dropped to one knee and bowed respectfully.

The older Batman knelt next to him and lifted his head. They held each others stares for several moments before embracing.

"I missed you Richie." Bruce Wayne said quietly "More than you can ever imagine."

A tear slipped down the old man's face as he felt Richie sobbed into his shoulder

"I thought I would never see you again." Richie said, trying to hold back his tears, but failing.

"So did I, Richie... so did I."

Agni smiled to himself. Master Bruce might sometimes be a hard ass, but he loved Richie, even if he had much trouble showing it.

The dark elf sighed and sauntered back over to the kitchen. It wasn't that he didn't like all the warm feelings... no, actually that was it. He didn't like all the warm feelings.

He wasn't jealous. He didn't do well with physical contact growing up as a dark elf among the Highs and Wooden would do that to you. Especially when your parents were hated assassins.

Agni picked up his discarded frying pan and looked at it.

In its reflection he could see nothing. Just an empty hood.

Cursed Shadow... that was his name. He was an assassin in the shadows that was a cursed to his targets. He was a feared Ranger and a powerful warrior in his own right. For his whole life he kept everyone at a distant as everyone did to him. He found companionship within Abaddon. A human boy who was much like himself, just as hated, just as mistreated, but stronger. Much much stronger than Agni.

Then Abaddon betrayed everyone. He betrayed Agni. His only friend.

It wasn't enough for the half demon to not only betray him, but he took away his best friend, possibly the love of his life. Iivdril. The only other Drow Agni could ever stand.

So much had changed for him in the little time he had been in this dimension. He was less guarded, more talkative. The Rangers had begun noticing he was changing.

Change... Is it always for the best?

A loud noise brought the brooding elf out of his thoughts.

"Intruder Alert! Intruder Alert!" The sirens screamed again.

Agni hefted his bow from off his shoulder and dashed over to the front room. Smoke was wafting out in small clouds.

A large man was kneeling midst the smoke. A large sword was over his shoulder. He had a crossbow-gun on his waist next to a small staff.

An arrow whizzed through the air at the man. Cursed Shadow pulled another from his quiver before the arrow even impacted and fired it off.

The man leaped from his position, faster than Agni expected, then was a flash of metallic light

Agni's two arrows laid, in halves, on the ground.

Stunned, Cursed Shadow nocked another arrow and gazed warily into the smoke.

"Only one person can do that to my arrows."

A half orange, one-eyed, villainous mask emerged from the smoke.

"There better be only one person who can do that." Slade Wilson, or otherwise known as Deathstroke the One Eyed and Completely Terrifying Mercenary muttered "Or someone is going to die."

"I told you to stay behind!" Master Bruce shouted

"Who are you to tell me what to do?" Slade countered, he was leaning against a table nonchalantly as possible, flipping a large dagger and catching it. "I came to find my protegé."

After Agni had dropped to the floor and bowed to Deathstroke, everyone in the Cave thundered into the room. Seeing a medieval Deathstroke unnerved the Team, but they kept their cool nonetheless.

Agni and Slade exchanged words for a while, each explaining what had happened while they other was absent. Agni was slightly enraged to find out Slade had another apprentice while he was gone, but the boy was hunted down and killed by the Guild for committing several horrific crimes.

Just as things were beginning to look good when the alarm went off again.

"I swear to god I'm going to break that thing." Agni swore, pulling his sword off his belt and preparing to slice the next person to come through.

"Hold, Agni." Deathstroke said "It is an ally."

"You managed to figure out how to teleport?" Master Bruce asked "I'm impressed"

Bright flashes swamped the room for a moment. When it all cleared, a young boy with medium spiked black hair. He had a domino mask on his face and was wearing red and black padded leather armor. He was normal looking except for one thing.

His skin was dark obsidian... like Agni's

"Who is that?" Richie demanded "And why is he wearing my old armor?"

Master Bruce swallowed, but the young boy cut him off

"I'm Jason Todd. Captain of the Rangers, also known as Robin."

Everyone stared in shock at the brazen boy standing stoutly in front of him.

"You replaced ME?!" Nightwing shouted at his mentor "with a DROW?!" Nightwing paused his anger and looked toward his companion "No offense Agni."

"I assure you none has been taken." Agni said airily "I hate them probably more than you."

"You had been gone for a long time, Richard." Master Bruce explained "We needed a new Team."

"You replaced all of us?" Agni asked "Because that brat over there has my job and I'll kill him if I need to."

"Well I only replaced you because I needed a new person to torture." Slade said with a shrug "And he's dead already."

"We've only been gone for five months!" Nightwing shouted "Did I really mean that little to you?"

"Well uh... about that, Nightwing." Lord Oliver said "You've-"

Jason walked forward interrupting Lord Oliver "Who's this kid?"

"I'm Nightwing." Richie hissed, his hand was resting on his staff. "The REAL Robin."

"Excuse me..." Dick Grayson said from the side "I'm here too..."

"Hmmph." Jason hurrumphed "You're the legendary Nightwing, Shadow of the Night? I was expecting someone taller."

Agni reached out to hold his companion back before he did something rash, but before he could, Nightwing's foot lashed out, hitting Jason squarely between the legs.

"I'm not short! I just haven't hit my growth spurt yet." Nightwing shouted

"So not traught." Dick said, putting a comforting hand on his counterparts shoulder.

Agni laughed as the younger boy squirmed on the ground holding his family jewels. "Ain't that tough are you, kid?"

Jason slowly stood up, ignoring the amused snickers. He looked at Agni sizing him up. "I assume you're the Cursed Shadow..."

Agni smirked. "The one and only."

"I was just expecting more..." Jason said "fanged teeth, maybe wings..."

"Why would I have wings?" Agni asked, his eyes narrowing

Jason shrugged "You know, Dragon Warrior and all."

"Told you it was a bad idea..." Zoom said "Explosion in three, two-"

"YOU TOLD THEM I WAS PART DRAGON?"

"You've been gone for long... it got out after a small situation." Lord Oliver said in hopes to appease the enraged warrior.

"We've been gone for FIVE months!" Bloody Arrow said, getting pissed himself "You've already replaced us AND let out Agni's secret? How incompetent are you people?"

"That is more than enough Harper." Lord Oliver said "Let Batman explain."

"You see, Ranger-"

"Wait a moment..." Agni interrupted, "I'm going to kill my replacement first." he said stalking over to where Jason had retreated

"Get in line Shadow." Richie growled "I was replaced first."

"This is quite amusing..." Slade Wilson said with a chuckle "I'm placing my money on the first Bat Brat."

"This can wait until later." Master Bruce ordered "There is something we should tell you."

Nightwing stopped and looked at his mentor, hurt was evident in his eyes, but he listened.

"How long 'ave ye all been in dis dimension?" Superdwarf asked

"Five months and a few days." Agni answered

"Twenty Seven to be exact." Superman supplied. He was having trouble keeping calm. Their counterparts bothered him with the way they acted toward the Rangers.

The Guilders shared a look before Master Bruce cleared his throat.

"Well-"

"Teleportation in 5... 4... 3... 2... now." Deathstroke the One Eyed and Impossibly Accurate Mercenary interrupted

Ignoring the death glare from a certain old monk, Deathstroke took a step back as a beam of light hit the ground.

When everyone was done rubbing their eyes and their vision cleared, they saw a red-headed girl, floating a foot in the air and looking a bit dizzy.

"Barb?!" Agni shouted, having recovered first because of the defenses his hood gave him.

A groan erupted from the mouth of the human Batman. He face palmed and wondered how he was going to get out of this.

Barbra Gordon, a fair Wood Elf with long dark red hair, wearing a long purple cloak similar to Agni's and Nightwing's, looked up into the face of Cursed Shadow

"Agni!" she shouted, rushing at him and hugging him to the point he started wheezing.

"Barb... oxygen is necessary for the continuation of my existence." Agni croaked

"You're not going to have an existence if you don't hug me back!" the Elven Batgirl shouted

Agni hesitantly and reluctantly patted the second Bat Brat on the back until she let him where, causing him to collapse to the ground and gasp for air.

He felt a soft tap on his shoulder, looking up he saw the face of Zatanna.

"Mind informing me who it was that just forced you do hug them?" she said

"Well uh..."

"Maybe I should take notes..."

Agni slowly stood up, rubbing his chest and wincing. "Guys, this is Barbra Gordon..." he said pointed at the still hovering girl who was, still floating as she hugged Nightwing. "She goes by Batgirl. She was Master Bruce's first female apprentice. An older sister to me and Nightwing.

"I actually go by Oracle now." Batgirl said, standing up straight and staring around her in wonder. "I see the teleportation worked..."

"Batgirl..." Robin said slowly before turning to Batman "They have a Batgirl. Why don't we have a Batgirl?"

"I've been meaning to tell you about that..." Batman began

After several minutes of explanations Robin stared at his mentor in shock

"We've had another Batgirl... FOR THREE MONTHS?!"

"You've been busy with the Rangers..." Batman said "I was waiting for a proper time to tell you."

Robin huffed and turned his back to Bruce. He was truly mad, he already knew about the Ranger's Batgirl. He was just playing it up since the Ranger's weren't supposed to tell him.

"I told you and Jason to stay behind." Master Bruce muttered

Todd shook his head "No you told us, "make sure everything is safe in case I don't come back." Which it is. I left Blue Dragon in charge."

Agni's eye twitched "Who?"

"Not important." Barbra said, squeezing his shoulder. "What is important is that we found you again."

Agni grinned weakly. Looking her over he raised an eyebrow. "How are you taller than me? I mean I know I'm not the tallest person around, since elves are naturally shorter than humans, but you must be at least five inches taller than me now."

"You are still pretty short though." Bloody Arrow added "All elves are short." he added in explanation to all the Leaguers

"I had... an accident during the time you were gone." she said slowly

"What happened?" Agni demanded

"Abaddon gave one of those... big irons to the Joker."

"A what?"

"One of these..." Jason said, pulling out a small revolver "Abaddon began bringing a lot of them back after you guys disappeared. We managed to reverse engineer a few, but there are as good as the ones he has."

Nightwing's eyes shot open "Abaddon brought back guns?"

Barbra nodded "The Joker shot me in the back with one. I haven't been able to walk since. About a year ago I managed to make a cloak that allows me to float from some of the notes you left."

"That bastard." Anna muttered

"Wait..." Agni said quietly "A year? We've only been gone for five months."

Batgirl looked at Master Bruce "You haven't told them yet?"

"Told us what?" Anna asked suspiciously

"I've tried to for the past half an hour." Master Bruce said, glaring at her "If they would stop interrupting me..."

"What... happened?" Agni asked slowly

"You've been gone for five years and several months." Wizard Fate said

"That does explain the change." Arty said with a shrug

"Has like... anything else majorly changed?" Kal asked "They didn't make pipe weed illegal or anything, right?"

"We'll tell you everything..." Lord Oliver said "You might want to mentally prepare yourselves. It's been a long five years."

Master cleared his through and gave a small sigh "After you disappeared the world was thrown even further into chaos. You were a vital part of the war effort. With you gone we lost a lot of moral."

"To make matter's worse." Wizard Fate continued "We were honorably discharged from our duties to the throne."

"Say what now?" Kal asked "We no longer work for the Emperor King?"

Lord Oliver shook his head

"YES!" Agni shouted and began cheering "We're Sellswords! Mercenaries!"

Master Bruce looked at him sourly but nodded

"Abaddon has gained much power with his new weapons." Wizard Fate continued "The Darklands have seeped into the Empire. Ancient gods have awoken and mysterious magics have been rediscovered."

The Rangers took a moment for it to seep in.

"I never stopped looking for all of you." Master Bruce said "It just took longer than I thought it would to find you. We had to replace you somehow in the war. Even if temporarily."

Richie nodded slowly. "I understand..." he said

Deathstroke glanced at a compass on his arm-guard "Teleport three in t-minus 5 seconds."

Everyone immediately closed their eyes and waited.

There was a quite loud cracking noise. It sounded like the sound of a firecrackers going off at once.

Most the elves fell to the ground in pain, while the rest winced.

Expecting someone they would recognize, the Team and Leaguers were somewhat surprised at who was standing before them

In front of them was a medium-sized elf. A crooked grin hung off his face as he shook long dark hair curly hair out of his face.

He was wearing black light armor with a dark red trim. Several scrolls hung off his body along with a lute across his back and an ocarina was hanging off his belt.

He looked around himself with amazement and screamed;

"New dimension! You just got more awesome!"

At once... all together... Every single Ranger groaned.

"Should we bother asking?" Zatanna asked, watching Agni try to hide behind her. Nightwing had mysteriously disappeared and Anna was hiding inside her father's cape.

"Why... in the god damned abyss's name, DID YOU BRING HIM?!" Agni shouted

"Hehe... oh this jsut got so much more fun!" Nabu cackled

"We made a deal." Deathstroke said casually "He helped me make the teleportation spell. I let him come and record... hmm how did he put it? 'Adventures of Awesomeness and Epicness.'."

"Who is he?" Robin asked

"Bard extrodinaire, Clerical and Magical genius, Sorif The Hunter. At you and your families service."

Everyone blinked

"You are a horrible bard..." Nightwing said frankly

"And you almost failed cleric school." Anna added

"I'm pretty sure you accidentally summoned a penguin when you tried to cast, Heal Tiny Scratches." Wizard Fate finished

"Then why is he called Sorif The Hunter?" Superman asked confusedly

"Because when he wants a story. He will never stop hunting you down until he gets it." Agni explained

"He's not that bad a fighter..." Master Bruce said, in hopes to keep the young elf from looking like a complete faliure

"I'm a great bard!" Sorif argued "My songs and stories will be sung around camp fires one day."

"How many stories have you written?" Agni asked with a sigh

"Three!"

"How many have you sold?"

Sorif stared at the ground... "Uh... 31..."

"Riiiiight..." Agni muttered

"I made the teleportation spell!" Sorif countered

"Probably just hounded someone until he gave it to you..."

"You guys are mean..." Sorif pouted

"Is there anymore guests going to show up Deathstroke?" Batman asked

"Yup." Deathstroke "But I don't know when he'll show."

"So..." Sorif said after after a few moments of silence. "Find out what's new."

Agni shrugged "It seems like almost a whole new world."

"Well since I'm the last one through I have the most recent information." Sorif said

"Well out with it lad." Superdwarf said exasperatingly

Sorif lowered his voice dramatically. "The dragon's have awoken from their slumber, the demigods have rejoined the civilized world. Humans grow ever more powerful with the help of the accursed half-demon Abaddon. With the new rangers being nowhere near as awesome as the originals, the war looks bleak. for that reason the Shinobi have been made the army while the Guilders are back up and deal with the EXTRA strange and not explanatory."

"The... shinobi replaced us?" Richie chuckled "Heh... That is whelming to hear."

Agni groaned "I hate shinobi."

"We know..." Artemis said, rubbing her temples

"You tell us every time it comes up." Zatanna said "You've never mentioned why though."

Agni's eyes flashed black and yellow "Stupid pointy knives and black clothing. They are annoying."

Master Bruce looked at Agni in alarm "Agni, I will need to speak to you later... about a few things."

"Like?" Agni asked, suspicion heavy in his tone and expression.

The old monk waved him off. "Not now, when we are alone. Batman has shared some disturbing news with me that I feel you should know"

"I wasn't done!" Sorif complained "I was saving the best for last."

Deathstroke rolled his eye "Then please continue."

Sorif smiled widely and stared at everyone with increasing levels of drama "Something dreadful has been happening in the last few days."

"Out with it already. You've only been there for like a day more than me." Barbra said with an annoyed look.

"Death... the Grim Reaper himself is rumored to be walking among man and elf once more."

Agni arched an eyebrow "Death...? Shouldn't that bastard be dead by now. He's like 80..."

While everyone stared at Agni with curiosity, much to his annoyance, the shadows behind them leaped up creating a small portal.

"I'm actually only 79 Aleanth." a man said

Everyone turned around and stared at the stranger. He was a tall older man with his hair, graying at the edges and a short pointy beard shot off his chin. He was dressed in long robes "And I've walked among you for nearly a century now... We humans are quite slow on the uptake."

He walked into the circle everyone was standing in "I suppose everyone expects me to introduce myself. I won't deny you that... do forgive for being late Slade, I had to deal with a particularly annoying demilich. I really don't understand how you deal with that bloody git of a Joker, Wayne. Bloody hell, I must have destroyed at least 15 of the wicked thing's vessels and it shouldn't be possible to have more than seven really..."

"Why does it feel like you are really familiar?" Robin asked, looking at the man incisively

The man stroked his pointy beard for a moment "Hmmph... I don't see your deaths for a long while. I guess I might as well tell you all."

Agni snorted "It's not that much of a secret."

"It's a better secret than being a dragon."

"Maybe so, but you don't have to worry about being hunted down."

"And why not?"

"Because you are mother fucking death!"

"Excuse me? What did you just say I do?"

"Sorry... this world's curses are a bit strange."

"I should think so... saying such a disrespectful thing."

"Get on with all the titles already." Sorif said impatiently, he was holding a scroll in one hand and a pen in the other.

The older man smiled "Sorry, Sorif. I do get carried away at times when around young dragon boy here."

Ignoring the indignant explanations from Agni, he continued "I go by many names... Hero of the Dimensions, Death, Grim the Reaper... many more."

"How many more?" Sorif asked, scribbling down as the old man spoke

"Much, but my real name is Harry Potter."

The Team looked at the old man in shocked silence

"Did you say... Harry Potter?" Robin said repeating the name "As in 'The-Boy-Who-Lived' Harry Potter?"

"The one and only." Harry said with a gentle smile "I'm actually Sorcerer Supreme now." he lowered his voice to a whisper and leaned over to Robin's ear "But I'm actually a wizard."

Agni leaned over to the to of then and shook his head "No you're not."

"I am!" Harry said

"No you aren't..."

"Yes I am!"

"Then where are your magical materials?" Agni asked

Harry's shoulders slumped "I don't use them..."

"Therefore, not a wizard." Agni clarified

"We've gone over this before!"

"Agreed, and you're still not a wizard. You are a sorcerer. Hence the title, Sorcerer Supreme.I'm really am though just a part of Death. That is why I am also known as the Grim Reaper."

"I'm a Cleric Supreme!" Sorif exclaimed

He was promptly dope smacked by Harry "No you are not... you are a bard."

"Even that is cutting it thin..." Megg'n said "REALLY thin."

"I hate all of you..." Sorif said, slinking off to go explo- I mean sulk

"Anyone ELSE Slade?" Master Bruce asked

"I was last." Harry informed him. "Everything was well when I left."

"How long apart did you guys teleport." Agni asked

"A day apart" Jason Todd answered "We weren't sure of the time differences between the dimensions."

Agni nodded "So... you." he said after a moment of silence

Jason looked at him quizzically "What about me?"

"You took my job..."

Jason grinned and nodded "I was the only one with enough leader capabilities."

"And the only one who wanted it." Barbra cut in "Guardian could have easily taken the place. or me and Blue Dragon."

"Then why didn't you?" Jason Todd retorted haughtily

"You know I'm taking it back when this is all over, right my young kin?" Agni said sickly pleasant tone to the other redeemed Drow

Jason chuckled "Sure you are."

"Oh, I am." Agni said seriously

Jason rolled his eyes "Look, Agni. I respect you being the Cursed Shadow and all, but really. You are old, out dated. Let your betters take control."

Simultaneously, Everyone's jaw dropped. Superman made to go stop them, but was stopped by Batman, who whispered to let them work out their differences.

"Now that be words of bravery, from a young stupid Drow. How old are you boy? 21?"

"24 next month." Jason said, warily backing away, smoke was wafting off of Agni's hair "So you see how you are not the best for the position."

Agni paused and seemed to think his options through. "Connie?"

"Yes, Cap'n?" the dwarf answered warily

"Hand me my shotgun, I'm going to kill the little bastard."

"As if you could." Jason said with a laugh

Agni looked toward Master Bruce and gripped his scythe "How angry will you by if I cut him up to a few tiny little pieces and feed him to Beo?"

"Very."

"Didn't you say you would stop killing?" Zatanna said, in hopes to diffuse the situation

Jason outright laughed at that "You guys have gone soft here... let me guess, I bet they forced you to go to an academy again as well? You forget yourself, ALEANTH. You are slipping. Not to mention you're dating a human girl, you are a disgrace to our kind."

"Okay, NOW you can kill him." Zatanna said sweetly "Just try not to make a mess, we just finished cleaning."

Agni's scythe was out and he stalked toward the younger Drow.

"A scythe?" Jason mocked, "You think you can fight with that? It's hardly intimidating."

"Should I take offense to that?" Harry muttered to himself and he watched the two elf's interested "I am death after all and the scythe is my symbol."

Jason dodged the fist swing by Agni that would have taken off his arm.

"I hate little assholes like you." Cursed Shadow said, effortlessly side-stepping a punch from his opponent "Those who rely on strength more than skill."

Jason Todd flipped into the air and delivered a sharp kick to Agni's side. He landed in a handspring and smiled confidently. He slipped a large dagger from his belt and motioned at Agni to 'bring it'. Agni rubbed the spot where he was kicked and switched the scythe to his other hand.

"Maybe you should go easy on him, Dragon Boy." Harry said "It's not his time yet..."

"As if an old fossil like him could take down the REAL leader of the Rangers." Jason taunted

"He's trying to get Agni worked up." Batman muttered to his counterpart as Agni dashed at the other Ranger.

Jason ducked under Agni's scythe and made to stab him in the ribs, but was met promptly by Agni's other hand that struck his arm. it sent his arm out wide and Agni's knee met his Solar Plexus.

"It is usually a good technique." Master Bruce agreed

"Except for the fact that when Agni gets angry he gets stronger."

"Jason could do well with going down a peg or two." Master Bruce reasoned

Todd swung his knife high, forcing Agni to block with the shaft of his scythe, his off hand flung a batarang around Agni's back and he back away.

Agni tilted his head left and the batarang flew past him embedding itself in the wall.

"Really?" Agni asked in disbelief "You truly thought that would work against me..." he dropped his scythe and raised his hands in a martial stance "I'm not even going to need a weapon against you."

Jason sneered and threw a quick punch kick combo at Agni. The older Ranger smirked and quickly dodged most of the attacks. The last palm thrust managed to get past his defenses and push him slightly back.

"Agni is at a disadvantage in a hand-to-hand fight..." Robin mused "He knows that Jason is clearly much stronger than him."

"He's trying to prove a point." Anna said, leaning against the masked hero "Agni's just stubborn like that."

Jason's hands flew at Agni in a flurry of punches, Cursed Shadow was steadily being pushed back as he had to dodged Jason's knife.

"Hit his left arm." A voice said in Agni's head

"Shut up!" Agni growled, once again taking a step back to avoid the knife and getting nicked in the shoulder by a punch.

"Who is Agni talking to?" Anna asked in a low tone

Robin and his counterpart shrugged, focusing on the fight.

Agni deflected Jason's knife, throwing it wide. Barely noticing his other fist, Agni's back bent at the waist, ducking under Jason's punch.

The elder Drow's hands shot out in a furry, striking several exact locations on Jason's arm.

Richie smirked at Jason back away and futiley tried to move his left arm. "He stands no chance now." he said

"A cowardice move." Jason snarled dashing Agni again with only his right arm and knife

"There is no such thing as a cowardice move in battle." Agni said "There is lose and there is win."

"He remembers my lessons well." Slade said, smirking at Master Bruce "Unlike yours, I must say."

"Besides," Agni continued "There is no such thing as honor among Drow."

"Agni has the upper hand now." Batman observed "I almost thought he would lose."

Jason screamed as he swung his knife wildly at Agni who kept sidestepping and parrying it with his punch or hidden blades.

"Do you know what my secret is?" Agni said conversationally "I am used to fighting those stronger than me. I, compared to most, am quite weak in physical strength. So I make up for it with strategy and agility. If you thought at all at what you were doing, you would probably be able to overpower. One arm and all."

"I don't need your lectures!" Jason shouted, leaping into the air to deal Agni a flying kick

His foot glanced of Agni's bracer and he landed facing his elder Ranger.

"Agni," Deathstroke called "End it. Do not play with your prey... unless you are paid to. Always do what you are paid to do."

"He can't end it, Wilson!" Jason shouted haughtily, "He knows he's fighting a loosing battle."

Agni sighed and flipped off his hood, staring his opponent in the eye

"Do you know something I hate?" he said, flicking his wrist

"Should I care?" Jason answered mockingly

"People who are overly arrogant, self-absorbed, don't know when to shut their mouths and over-confident

Jason's foot was planted firmly in his chest and he was sent flying back. Cursed Shadow landed in a roll to his knees, almost smashing into Harry who was watching nonchalantly.

"Do you realize how bloody hypocritical that whole monologue was?"

Pausing for moment, Agni reflected on what he said.

"Yes, but there is a difference between the two of us."

"And what in your simple little mind is that?" Harry asked

"I have the skill to back it up."

Harry sighed and slapped Agni upside the head. There was a large crashing sound and Harry looked down into the hole Agni's face had left in the floor.

The Dark Elf had spun downwards into the floor. Everyone winced when they saw the hole his head was shoulder deep in.

"Excuse me," Harry mused "I put a bit too much power into that."

Cursed Shadow pulled his head from the ground and glared and Harry Potter

Agni dashed at Jason. The younger Drow went to meet him with a punch, but Agni neatly knocked it aside with his left hand. With his right he elbow punched Jason in the face, stunning him and knocking his knife from his hand.

"Finish Him!" Nabu called in an overly dramatic voice

Agni knee'd Jason powerfully in the groin, making his keel over. Before

Jason could gather his wits, Agni backhanded him to the floor,.

"Agni's signature 'I have no respect for you' move..." Barbra chuckled to Anna and Zatanna "I haven't seen that in quite some time."

Jason made to pick up his knife that had flown from his hand, but he found his body not responding.

Agni slowly walked over to the knife and picked it up, everyone flinched quite suddenly as a scream of pain tore through the Cave, shocking most at what Agni just did.

Agni looked down at the boy, the knife shoved through his right hand, pinning it to the floor. Agni knelt down next to him, watching the boy squirm with annoyance in his eyes.

"Can't move can you? I hit you with paralyzing darts all throughout the fight. You are a Drow like me so you are somewhat resistant so it took a few minutes."

Agni slowly removed a small dagger from his boot and placed it against Jason's neck

"You see, Jason, there is a difference between us. You lived in a world that was somewhat safe for Drow. While me... I MADE that world safe. You lack that one thing that kept me and my team alive."

"Oh yeah?" Jason said between clenched teeth "What's that?"

Agni lifted the dagger "The instincts of a Survivor."

Anna screeched as Agni plunged the dagger into the floor next to Jason's head. Agni looked up at her with a raised eyebrow

"The need to survive." Agni finished, as he stood and began to walk away.

Everyone stood in silence for a moment. Agni might be a total hypocrite, but he had a point

"Okay, that's enough everyone." Superman said, gathering his wits about him. Batman had said very clearly, NOT to interfere with whatever honor battle they might go through.

Agni nodded and gave a good kick between the legs before walking back over to where Zatanna, Robin, Nightwing and Barbra were standing. Or in Oracles case, floating a few feet in the air.

"So uh... dude." Kal said to Master Bruce "Like where's my king? I thought be would totally be here."

"He's keeping the world somewhat safe while we tried to get the portal working" Master Bruce supplied

"So... how's the world going to take to us coming back?" Anna asked hesitantly "Was it in the open we were dead?"

Superdwarf chuckled nervously and rubbed the back of his neck "Yeh... 'bout dat."

Harry Potter chuckled from where he was standing next to Deathstroke "This is bound to get wickedly funny."

"We might've built a statue..." said the dark-skinned man who had been silent up until then.

Agni closed his eyes and counted to ten to quiet his urges to tear off everyone's head and bath them in flames "How big of a statue, John?"

John Stewart, the Green Lantern, sighed "REALLY big."

"How big is really big?" Richie asked curiously

"Hokage Statues kind of big."

Agni's eyes slowly turned yellow on black. "IS there shiny gold on it?"

Master Bruce looked at Agni suspiciously "Agni?"

"Agni is not here right now... You can bow to me now. I take gold and silver. Anything shiny really."

"Is there something you failed to mention to me?" Master Bruce asked, turning to his younger counterpart

"Yeah." Arsenal shouted "Agni has a crazy second personality named Belir who is homicidal and likes shiny things."

Batman glared at the youngest Roy, who immediately flinched. "We might want to talk about this in... private."

Master Bruce nodded and made to follow his counterpart when he noticed Belir rubbing a golden coin on his face lovingly

"How do we bring Agni back?" he asked

Anna sighed and began casting "Bigby's-" she was interrupted as a couch flew at her, smashing into her like a truck

"You will NOT do that to me again." Belir snarled "Next time I'll tear your head off your shoulders."

"Superman?" Master Bruce asked pointing at Belir, who was ranting about people hitting him in the head and something about shiny stuff, "Can you take care of it?"

Clark nodded and walked over to Belir. He raised his hand and casually flicked the second personality of Agni in the back of the head

"Son of a bitch..." Agni groaned, removing his head from another hole in the ground.

Agni stared at the screen somewhat lost.

"What am I looking at?"

"That," Batman explained for at the very least the seventeenth time "Is your DNA.

Agni nodded "Right... What is DNA?"

"It's your... you know what, you're an imbecile. Doesn't matter. In short, it's you. It's what you are made of." Batman explained VERY slowly

Agni nodded again "So why is this worrying?"

"You see this?"

"Yeah?"

"THAT IS YOUR ELVEN SIDE!"

"Okay! I get it."

Batman sighed and pointed at the screen again "You see this part?"

"The part that is trying to eat the other part?"

"Yes. That is your Draconic DNA."

Agni nodded for a third time before wisely asking "Is that good or bad?"

"For you? Probably very very bad."

"OHDAMNOHDAMNOHDAMNOHDAMNOHDAMN!"

"So you mean, he is slowly turning more Draconic?" Master Bruce asked

"That is probably why his split personality is emerging for the first time." Batman

"But even if that was so, his DNA should not be transforming until he is at least 300 years old."

"That is what confuses me."

Master Bruce stared at the screen thoughtfully "Maybe because he's been in a dimension with little to no magic it's jump started his Draconic cells to begin maturing quicker and they are sucking up his own natural magic instead of magic around him. Thus possibly sucking up enough to finally allow Belir to regain power again. That could possibly explain why he hasn't exploded in a fiery mess yet."

Agni blinked "Is it to hard to just say 'I have no idea'?"

"What do you mean by 'Belir to regain power again'?" Batman asked suddenly

The Grim Ranger paused "Did he say that?"

"Yes I did." Master Bruce said heavily

"What do you mean regain power? Belir has existed before?! why don't I remember? he is my split personality after all!"

"Calm down Agni!" Master Bruce shouted at the panicking elf-dragon-thing.

"You do not remember?" Agni heard in his head "That would explain much..."

"STAY OUT OF MY HEAD!" Agni screamed clenching his head between his hands "This is my body, not yours."

"Stay silent, Agni! You are nothing compared to me! I was the one who should be controlling this body." Belir hollered, his Draconic thoughts spreading from his own head to others around him as well

The Martian Manhunter and his counterpart floated speedily through a wall, looking around wildly

Agni clenched his teeth "I said, GET OUT!"

"What is going on, Batman?" J'onn asked standing over Agni as he seemed to be having an inner battle

"We are not sure." Batman said, grabbing a hold of Agni as he began thrashing around.

"His second personality is trying to take control." Master Bruce said, dashing over to help his counterpart

"The dragon that likes gold?"

"Belir is much more than that." Master Bruce said

Agni stopped screaming and thrashing for a moment and slowly stood up, facing away from the Leaguers and Guilders.

"Amelani? Are you okay?" asked the Gnome Telepath hesitantly, Agni's mind had went strangely silent

"He was nothing compared to me." Belir whispered "He managed to lock me away once, but never again will I be denied!"

"Belir... You have awaken." Master Bruce noted, his hand slipping into his cloak.

"Much to your displeasure I see." Belir said, his face smirking triumphantly

"Agni locked you away."

"He did... I was gaining too much control over him, my whisperings were working."

"How have you returned?"

"He was hit by a psychic attack, it broke away some of the seals. I've worked hard to break the rest. And as you can see now, I've taken over."

"Why did Agni seal him away in the first place? You might be troublesome, but Agni has withstood much fiercer." J'onn asked

"Because, I was going to join Abaddon." Belir said "I still probably will. It seems like the smart choice."

"So that's what happened..." Master Bruce realized, "That is when the change began."

Belir smiled widely and nodded "Acute mind as always I see. Agni didn't have what it took to join the dark side. He was to much of a hero, even if he doesn't want to admit it."

"So what are you going to do?" Batman asked, he was gripping a batarang firmly beneath his cape.

"Kill you all," Belir said casually "Then I'll join Abaddon once and for all, take this dimension for myself, probably build a big stature to worship my Draconicness..."

Two batarangs were simultaneously thrown at him, one was dodged effortlessly, while Belir caught the other with his left hand

"You are nothing compared to me..." Belir's hand twirled the batarang around "What is a mere human compared to a-"

He never finished his sentence, Belir fell to his knees, clutching his temples with a screech of pain.

Slowly and barely noticeably, Belir's right eye turned back to its normal red on white.

"I will not let you do any such thing." Agni's voice hissed, his right arm moving toward his boot, "If I'm going to go, you are going with me."

Agni whipped out a small cylinder that had a needle connected to it, he looked at Batman with a small crooked smile before plunging it towards his chest.

Batman lashed out before it could reached, backhanding the dagger away and knocking Agni out unconscious

"I have to say... I was not expecting that at all." J'onn said. He looked at Agni curiously "It seems his mind has gone silent for now."

Just great... I'm unconscious. Again.

Agni sighed internally from within his mindscape.

"You idiot!" Someone shouted behind him

Cursed Shadow spun around to see someone walking toward him

Coming at him was a figure about his own height. There were two horns coming out of his forehead and wings sprouting from his back. His hands with long nails on them were running through his long white mane of hair.

Agni stared into a pair of golden-yellow and black eyes

"You..." Agni growled glaring at his split personality

"Don't look at me like that you stubborn fool." Belir snarled "This is your fault elf."

"Mine?! You are the one who keeps on trying to take over what is not yours! That is why I sealed you away in the beginning!"

"I'm an idiot for looking out for us? You are a fool, Agni. Why would you not join Abaddon? With him we could rule the world!"

"We do not want to rule it! We want to protect it?"

"Where is the glory in that? We deserve the respect of the great races."

"Abaddon cares not for us, only for himself, Belir. Do you know what he would do after we helped him conquer the world? Kill us! betray us! Throw us out to the dogs!"

"How do you know that?!"

"Because we were best friends!" Agni shouted... at himself "No one knew Abaddon better than me! Not Iivdril, not Master Bruce, not no one!"

Belir seethed silently for a moment before shaking his head "You lie, elf. Abaddon looked out for us, he helped us. He would have allowed us to ascend to greatness."

"Do you not remember what happened that night? The night I sealed you away?"

Belir shook his head

"Then let me show you."

Agni sped through the trees outside of Glundorion. He was supposed to meet with Iivdril and Abaddon. Possibly for the last time.

He still had trouble wrapping his head around the fact his two best friends had just declared war on the entire world. They were just named rouges at the Guild that very week.

Maybe, just maybe, he could convince them to stop this stupid crusade of theirs. Iivdril was his best friend. They might had broken up when she left with Abaddon, but he still cared for her.

No one knew he had left Glundorion. He would have to be quick or someone would notice that Glundorion, The Hidden Village in the Leaves, Konoha, York the New, the capital of the Empire was missing its Cursed Shadow.

He reached the edge of the cliff he and Iivdril had originally met. They had spent much time there, under the trees, watching the clouds move on by.

Agni winced as his head throbbed slightly. He was part dragon. Most people close to him knew that and lately, his Draconic side had been becoming stronger. His split personality was whispering to him.

And it was VERY annoying.

He slowed down his leaps through the forest and perched on a branch to a tree.

Even as a Drow he was most at home within a forest. It could be possible it is because he spent most of his time in one, but anyhow he could speed through one faster than anyone he knew.

Peeking through some leaves, he could see Abaddon and Iivdril sitting with their backs toward him, facing a small fire.

The wind blew through the trees toward them, as the fire wavered in the breeze Abaddon looked up and called out.

"You can come out Agni. I know you are here."

Cursed Shadow grinned weekly and dropped into his shadow.

He cautiously appeared behind them, he couldn't be sure that this wasn't a trap or a ploy.

"My greetings Don, Iivdril." he said, taking a seat next to the fire with them.

Returning his greeting, Abaddon sat silently staring into the fire for several moments.

"Why did you contact me Don?" Agni asked, shattering the silence "You know I'll be killed if I'm caught with you."

"Frater with the enemy..." Abaddon muttered to himself "Is that what you think of me? An enemy?"

"We've been friends for years... I'd never think of you as an enemy." Agni replied "Is that why you called me? To ask if I saw you as an enemy?"

"Have you heard the Great Prophecy, Agni? The one that has kept our world in fear for years?"

Agni nodded slowly, keeping his features blank beneath his dark hood. "You couldn't possibly..."

"Oh but it does." Iivdril said "The prophecy was meant for you two."

"'The Dragon and Demon will either be great friends, or even greater world will quake will shake beneath their feet as they either fight together or against the other." Abaddon said

Agni looked up in realization "You... you're the demon"

Abaddon nodded "You must join me Armory. Together... We'll rule the world."

Agni, who was then known as Armory, stared at the fire. "All those times... my senses when crazy when you were around. It's because of you..."

"Does it matter Agni? You're a dragon, he's a demon and I'm a Drow. How much of a difference does it make?"

"I want to protect the world, make peace within it. Like the Emperor did. Not conquer it." Armory said quietly

"The end always define the means. Do you know what peace we can make when it is US making the rules?" Iivdril argued "No more Bruce Wayne to tell us what to do, No more Emperor to decide who is an enemy or ally. Just us."

Before the Dark Elf could answer, he began to feel sharp stabbing pains in his head.

"We must join them!" was whispered in the back of his mind "Gold, Powers, being someone! Finally we can leave the shadows and take our rightful places as rulers."

"Shut up..." Agni muttered, shaking his head, it was becoming dizzy and he was feeling light-headed.

"Listen to yourself Belir." Iivdril urged

"No... I can't betray them." Agni said in a strained voice "Must keep 'him' sealed."

"ENOUGH! Let me out!"

"No... stay... sealed." Agni gasped, clutching his head in pain

"I will be RELEASED!" Belir screamed, toppling over unconscious

Abaddon slowly stood up and stared at the form of his friend. He knelt over him and placed a hand on Agni's forehead. He quietly muttered a spell and stood back

"What did you do?" Iivdril asked

Abaddon grinned "I awoke the Dragon."

"I thought we agreed to let Agni decide on his own."

The half-demon spun around and gazed at the female Drow "We need Agni. The prophecy will not go the way we want unless he joins us. So sit tight and stay silent!"

"But Abs," Iivdril began

Abaddon's hand shot out and struck Iivdril across the cheek, knocking her onto her back. "Stay quiet bitch." he snarled "Remember your place!"

Iivdril nodded sullenly and placed a hand on her stinging cheek. She glared at Abaddon as he turned his back to her and watched their unconscious friend

Agni stirred in his comatose state for several moments before his eyes shot open and he stared around in shock

"What happened?"

"The dragon has awoken." Abaddon said gleefully

Belir looked at Abaddon with amusement "You have managed to knock the elf out?"

"He is merely asleep for now. You will be able to stay in power as long as you are mentally strong enough to hold him back."

Belir grinned showing large fanged teeth "An Elven mind is nothing compared to the mind of a true dragon."

Iivdril huffed and glared at Belir who grinned cheekily back.

"So, I assume you know about the prophecy." Abaddon asked

Belir nodded "Conquer the world, become kings, get all the shiny I could ever want? I'm in."

Abaddon smiled widely "Do we have an accord?" he asked sticking out his hand

The dragon shook it enthusiastically "What do you need me to start with?"

"Remove the Guild and disassemble the Rangers." Abaddon said promptly "They are to much of a threat."

Armory smiled maliciously "Consider it done my friend."

As the three turned back toward the fire, Belir spun around and flung a knife into the bushes.

There was a muted scream and all three hastily whipped out their weapons

"Iivdril, get whoever it was I just impaled." Belir ordered

The Drow weapon mistress arched an eyebrow, but went anyways. she returned a moment later dragging a raven haired girl

"Anna?" Abaddon exclaimed "Well this is a surprise. Belir, did you know you were followed?"

Belir shook his head

"Tracking spell." Anna said, clutching her shoulder where the knife was jutting out of.

"Why did you follow me, girl?"

Anna gasped, she was losing blood quickly and the knife was probably poisoned as well. "You aren't Agni..." she managed to to say weakly

"Agni is... asleep at the moment." Belir said

"How much did you hear Zatanna?" Iivdril asked roughly

Anna stayed silent and stared at the ground.

"What did you hear?" Abaddon repeated

Iivdril snarled and reached down the knife that was still in her shoulder, mercilessly twisting it before ripping it out, she chuckled at the magicians screams.

Anna layed on the floor gasping in pain as she held her shoulder with her good hand. she stared up at Belir in fear as the dragon stepped closer.

Armory lifted her face by the chin and stared her in the eye for a moment before lowering her to the ground.

"She heard everything." he said out loud

Abaddon nodded "Kill her."

Belir looked at his friend with a curious expression "Is that wise, demon?"

Abaddon shrugged "Throw her off the cliff. No one will know." The Demon glanced up at the moon "It's nearly midnight... we must get going. Iivdril, follow me. Belir, I am trusting you clean up here."

"Leave it to me, Don."

Belir watched at as his to friends walked away. He waited several minutes until he was sure they were gone until he turned to Anna.

"I'm sorry, girl, but I'm going to have to kill you."

"Agni... please. This... can't be you."

"Do not worry. Your death is just the beginning of a New World Empire."

Belir reached out and his hidden blade shot out of its sheath

The magician stared at the knife, gleaming in the shadows near the fire. Her eyes closed as the dragon raised his blade

STOP

Belir's blade halted an inch from her neck

NO! DON'T KILL HER!

Anna peeked open her eyes, wincing at the blade. She shivered in the cold wind that blew through the forest as she watched Belir as he seemingly contemplated what he was doing.

Don't you dare do it Aleanth!

The blade slowly withdrew form her neck, Belir gazing at her all the while. The blade slowly slid back in and he twitched his wrist again

Anna jumped as a small bottle and needle flew at her and pricked her skin.

Slowly she felt her strength return and the fatigue wash away.

"Why... what are you doing, Agni?"

"I'M NOT AGNI!" Belir shouted, moving away from her "I was born Belirhac'yrd Aleanth, I will die by that name as well."

"He told you to kill me."

Belir nodded and stared into the dancing flames of the fire, silently.

The White Cleric watched as Belir sat perfectly still, not moving in the slightest except for his breathing which was so gentle she had to strain her eyes to see.

After several minutes of silence she made to slowly get away, but as soon as she moved an inch there was a rasp of steel and with inhumane speed there was a blade of a long thin sword under her chin.

"I did not give you permission to move." he said harshly

Anna gulped and he slowly withdrew his sword

"You will not utter a word to the Rangers." Belir said

"You are wrong." Anna said defiantly "If I get back, you can be sure that I will."

"Then I'll kill you now and them tomorrow."

"Do you not care about us? We are your friends, Ag-Belir. We're dating! have you forgotten all that?"

"You are nothing to me Anna Zatara. Neither is the Team! I'm a dragon, I do not need you, I do need your pity or sympathy."

"I care about you Agni."

"I AM BELIR!"

"I love you..."

"The feeling is NOT mutual."

Anna stared at Belir in shock

Agni glared at the memories while Belir watched bemused.

"What did we do to get her to stay quiet?" he asked

"You threatened to kill everyone painfully. Including her father." Agni said "That is what killed her."

Belir smirked "So why does she trust us now?"

"I wiped her memory of the incident." Agni said angrily "Just after I sealed you away."

Belir was sitting on his meditation mat, screaming in pain. "Stay out, Elf!" he screamed, the only thing keeping the Rangers from hearing was the silence seals on his walls "This is my body now!"

That is what you think, Belir.

Belir went limp and the whole room was strangely silent for several minutes. His eyes slowly turned to their normal red on white.

"Ugh..." Agni muttered, quietly standing to his feet. "That was more difficult than I thought it would be."

You are gone for good now... my Draconic friend.

Agni leaned heavily against his doors. He managed to seal Belir away. It had taken him several months to do so, but he managed in the end.

Agni limped over to Anna's room, which was fortunately right next to his.

Without knocking, Agni pushed the door open and closed it quickly behind himself

The White Cleric was sitting in a chair facing the window, staring at the trees blowing in the wind. She jumped as she felt Agni's presence behind her.

"What do you want Belir?" she asked fearfully "I've done everything you asked."

Agni stood next to her and reached out for her forehead "I'm sorry about this Anna." he whispered, gripping her forehead

Just before his hand touched her, realization was in Anna's eyes "Agni?"

Anna collapsed , nearly hitting the floor before Agni caught her. he layed her carefully on her bed and sat in the chair.

She'll have no recollection of what had happened between us. Now I just need to deal with Abaddon.

"How was all of this supposed to convince me that Abaddon isn't our friend?" Belir asked with a bored expression

"I'm not sure..." Agni said "When you broke the seal, you unleashed memories I don't recall having. Maybe this will help though"

Agni flew through the forest again. It was nearly midnight and he was to meet Abaddon and Iivdril.

Enough was enough now. Abaddon tricked him and unleashed Belir. He broke Agni's trust.

It was going to end tonight. With either his death or Agni's.

Someone was going to die tonight.

Agni glanced up at the moon, it was blood red as was most of the sky.

"Blood moon." Agni muttered, leaping through branches at a high pace "Bad Omen."

He burst out of the trees, flinging himself into the clearing.

Abaddon looked up in surprise as Agni came speeding at him. He was nearly hit by the Dark Elf's blade as it came shooting at him.

Luckily for him, Iivdril was more ready and deflected it away with her own twin blades.

"You bastard." Agni snarled, pulling out his second blade.

Abaddin watched Agni's blade's warily. They weren't his Ranger Sword, just normal curved single-edged blades. "I see you woke back up, Agni."

"I trusted you Abaddon. I risked myself to meet with you, and you betray me?!"

Abaddon shrugged "Always look out for number one."

Iivdril stood between the two, her swords crossed in front of her. She could probably take Agni in a fight if it was life-or-death.

"Iivdril, move. I would prefer not to kill you, but I swear to Tyr and Bahamut himself I will cut you down if I must." Agni said vehemently swinging his blades in small circles

"Remove him, Iivdril. I'll meet you at the rendezvous point." Abaddon said, slowly walking away.

Agni roared angrily and leaped at the half-demon, but in mid-air, his swords clashed with Iivdril's

"Please, Agni. Think this do not want him as an enemy."

Armory disregarded her words and slashed his swords at her. the female elf dodged by them and counter attacked.

Agni's two katanas spun around him, deflecting her twin swords.

"Dance of the Dragon!" Agni shouted, his red and purple aura flaring around him.

Iivdril's eyes widened and raised her swords "Slithering Serpents Slices!"

Agni's blade's, covered with his magical energy lunged at his foe, the energy took the form of a claw and shot at her, blasting her away.

Iivdril leaped back up and sped toward him, green energy flowing around her body in the shape of snakes, she slashed her sword into the air, sending a large arc of energy at him. Agni's aura caught it in mid-air and held it in place and he swiped his blade at her. Iivdril caught it with one blade, but missed his off-hand slash widely as it dug into her calf.

From far off it would have looked light a light show as Iivdril and Agni fought with their aura's, using magic attacks with their swords as they had almost never done before

"He will rule this place one day you are a fool to follow the others!" Iivdril said blocking an attack and sending a few of her own.

"I will never join Abaddon! I live to protect this land not conquer it." Agni snarled back his swords slipping through her defenses and hitting her arm.

Iivdril ignored the pain and retorted. "Ha! That is so you Agni. Always the hero always must be the winner. Well you won't win this!" She leaped over him and rapidly flipped thrusting her swords at his back.

The swords scrapped across his armor only knocking him forward. Agni turned around and brought both his swords up to block another lunge. He took a step back and went into his spinning attack twirling and twisting his sword making it almost impossible to block. He knocked one of her swords out of her hand and continued to spin and weave his blades hitting her quite a lot.

Iivdril back away and tried to block but felt her last sword leave her hand. She continued to dodge him and walk backs.

In till she reached the edge of the cliff.

Agni came to a stop and pointed her swords at her. Iivdril tried to take a step back but her foot almost slipped off the edge. She looked down; she could see tops of trees all the way at the bottom. She looked back at Agni he was staring intently at her.

"And so here it ends Iivdril. In the same place that we met we must part." Agni said slowly lifting his blade to under her chin.

"You won't kill me I know that." She snarled at him

Agni nodded his head. "True, true I cannot kill you outright but there are other ways for you to die."

Iivdril tried to move his sword but it was difficult she had a limp arm and an injured leg she lifted her good hand but Agni inched it closer to her neck.

"This is the end." Agni said

"How are you going to kill me? Plunge your sword through my heart?" she scoffed coughing up blood all the while.

Agni shook his head sourly. "I won't kill you myself. Gravity will do that for me." Agni lifted his foot and kick her legs making them topple her off the edge.

"I loved you." He whispered before she fell.

"That means nothing!" Belir shouted

"It doesn't?" Agni asked "Abaddon dropped us like a hot rock when he realized we were no longer of any use."

"So?!"

"You are so stubborn Belir!"

"So are you!"

"That's because I AM YOU!"

"GO TO HELL!"

"I"M WITH YOU AREN'T I?!"

Belir and Agni glared at each other for several minutes. "I'm in control." Agni said finally

"Not for long."

"I'll tell you this, only once." Agni said, staring him in the eye "If you try to take my body again, I will stop you."

"How? You haven't managed to do it very well before."

"I'll commit suicide."

Belir stared at Agni in shock "You'll kill yourself, just to make sure I don't join him?"

Agni nodded his head seriously "Remember that, Belir."

Cursed Shadow's chest heaved and he shot up from the bed he was laid in. He looked around him carefully. Only Batman and Master Bruce were in the room.

"What happened?"

"You tried to kill yourself when Belir took over completely." Batman said "I knocked you out."

"What happened, Agni?" Master Bruce asked

"I had a nice long chat with Belir." Agni said rubbing his temples "It turns out I sealed away some of my memories. They broke free with him."

"What memories?" Batman asked

Agni looked at his Batman "Remember that whole incident with Anna and me? How we both changed. That was the first time Belir broke free. He had joined Abaddon and was going to kill the Rangers and Guild. Anna found out, Belir threatened to kill everyone precious to her and said some... unpleasant things to her. He might have done things as well... I can't know for sure because when he was in full control I was unable to get access to his memories. After several months, which you might recall I was ruthless, angry, I would even call myself evil, I managed to seal him away. To heal Anna, I locked those memories away within her as well. I then battle Iivdril, that us when we thought I killed her, and sealed away my own memories of the incident."

"It isn't the first time Belir broke free. It as the second." Master Bruce said "Belir first showed up when you were in the academy. He almost killed Ilai and Hillal. Nabu and Fate managed to seal him the first time. It seems it wasn't enough..."

Agni nodded. "So what now?"

"Nothing..." Batman said "Continue on as normal. Now that the Guild is here, we are going to try find and try to take down Abaddon for the last time."

"That won't be very hard," Superman said, bursting into the room "A VERY large castle has suddenly just appeared out of nowhere, in the middle of Kansas. It is surrounded by monsters and Abaddon has been seen. It seems he figured the Helicarrier isn't working so he somehow made a castle."

Agni looked at Master Bruce for orders

"Cursed Shadow, get the Rangers ready. Batman, if you can bring all the force you can muster that would be helpful, we are ending this now."

Agni nodded and shot out of the room, he made toward the main room and shouted on the top of his lungs

"THIS IS A CALL TO ARMS!" he shouted, magically raising his "RANGERS UNITE!"

Within three seconds all the Rangers and Team were in the main room, fully armored and suited up."

"We found him?" Barbra asked

Agni nodded

Sorif The Hunter hopped form one foot to the other in excitement "Yay! My first real battle! Oh they are going to be telling stories about this for decades to come!"

Harry burst into the room, a serious expression was on his face and he was wearing the robes of Sorcerer Supreme

"Just when I decide to take a bloody nap." he grumbled, before sighing and conjuring a glass of pumpkin juice, he took a long sip before looking up with a grim smile "Death Calls."

The Leauge and Guild entered the room. Master Bruce stood up and everyone went silent.

"This is it. We are ending this war now. In this dimension. Tonight, it will end!"

Barbra blinked rapidly, her eyes suddenly glowing with a bright white light.

"Oh crap, a prophecy." Richie said

"As the last battle begins, all shall hold still. The Demon and Dragon will face each other with a flurry of armies.

For many a hours the battle will last between the two enemies.

The two great entities will face each other for the last time and only one will prove the definite winner

Hell will welcome the who is the greatest sinner

As the battle draws toward an end dawn will arise

And the end will be one of their demise

A crimson dawn as the red blood will come in disguise

Sacrifice will be made by one of those that was shunned

And dawn will arise...

Dawn of the Two Suns"

Barbra exhaled slowly and slowly collapsed to the floor, Agni dashed forward and caught he deftly

"Great just what we need." Agni grumbled "Another prophecy."

"Did you get that Sorif?" Master Bruce asked dashing over to Barbra

"Dawn of the Two Suns..." Sorif muttered writing it down "Got it all Batman."

"Wizard Fate Teleport now."

Wizard Fate's eye holes glowed green for a moment and everyone blinked

When they opened their eyes they were in the middle of a flattened corn field

"Richie, chalk."

Nightwing took out some chalk from his pouch and gave it to Master Bruce, who shooed everyone away and began drawing a large circle on the ground.

"What is he doing?" Artemis asked

"He's drawing a seal." Agni said, taking out his own chalk to help

"A what?"

"A seal, an Alchemy circle."

Master Bruce bent down and fixed a small part of the circle. He motioned for everyone to move away from the large circle

"What are you doing, Master Bruce?" Richie asked

The old monk clapped his hands together and placed them on the floor, before looking up and saying

"Calling in the cavalry."

Hey Guys!

Well... This was exciting for me.

I'm VERY sorry for the long wait. After I managed to buy a Tablet to continue writing, well... work just REALLY got in the way. I work a full-time job now so it seriously cut into my writing time. Hopefully I can get back into a writing groove. I think shorter chapters might help with that so I'll see about that for the sequel.

Lots of things happened this chapter. Hopefully I answered a bunch of questions that might have bounced around you mind.

I do have to say I'm not VERY happy with the beginning, but the later half of this chapter I enjoyed writing.

Oh and I am on a lookout for a Beta Reader. While writing this chapter I reread the story from the beginning and I noticed that are some REALLY bad spelling and grammar mistakes (not to mention HUGE plot holes). So if you are interested, send me a PM.

Oh yeah, Don't forget to give me a review! Rereading some of the older reviews really gave me an awesome confidence to continue.

I had a few troubles uploading this from my tablet. It took away all the bold and italics I had used. It took me nearly an hour to put them all back, hopefully I didn't miss anything.

And before people start giving a crap ton of shit about it: SORIF THE HUNTER IS NOT A MAIN CHARACTER. He is important in the future, but now I just added to get people who keep calling Agni a self-insert to shut up because truly Agni is absolutely nothing like me.

Most of you were also most likely also like "Harry Potter? WTF?!"

Well he is the Harry Potter from the story Next Great adventure. He was kind of a Easter Egg for those who read the whole series and not just this story in particular. It was a hint of what he becomes later.
