Hey! So so so so sorry for the long wait! I'll be updating To Love a Killer soon too XP but here's your chapter!
Chapter 13: I'm Sorry
(Brian's POV)
I felt dead the next morning... Like I hadn't really woken up and my body seemed to move on its own. My heart… It lay withered in m y chest cavity, dead, without a trace of love… Flakes of the heart fell apart slowly and painfully… Like my life... I pulled on my hoodie and mask, hiding my face from the world. I slid my gloves over my very pale hands… If they were any paler… I'd be a ghost… Though I'd rather be a ghost… At least I wouldn't have to feel the excruciatingly painful heartache...
I peered at myself in the mirror, seeing a scrawny boy in the mirror, with a frowning mask that suited me just fine now… It reflected how I felt… I went down stairs slowly, going down to breakfast silently. My legs seeming to move on their own… If they were in my control… They would have let me fall to the ground… They felt weak and stiff, like a branch that just barely held onto a tree... I sighed softly, sitting in my spot at the table. My eyes wandered to the plate of food that was placed in front of me, my pupils, just staring blankly at my food.
"Hoodie. Eat. I have a mission for you and Masky." Slender said. M-Masky…? My thoughts echoed… No… No why must the world torment me like this?! This wasn't fair! My heart screamed in agony as I fought back more tears, while my trembling arms pushed my mask past my lips so I could eat like master had ordered. I tried to keep my hands from trembling as I ate. It would give away that I was upset... I could feel Slenders gaze on me for a bit, but soon return to an arguing Laughing Jack and Jeff the Killer. I could feintly hear him shouting at them to shut up and quit fighting. But… I honestly didn't care… But I found myself looking up when a tired Masky walked in the room… How is he so unfazed about breaking up with me?... He seemed in a perfectly good mood. He walked up to me.
"Hoodie. I need to talk to you after breakfast." He whispered. But before I could respond, Slender spoke up.
"Sit down and eat Masky, I've assigned you a mission with Hoodie." He said.
"Yes sir." He sighed, sitting beside me and eating. I felt my body stiffen… Hadn't he done enough to me? What'd he want to do now? Say he loved someone else now!? Say that he doesn't love me anymore!? Tell me I'm just a weak useless dreamer like everyone else!? Right after breakfast, Slender went to his office and Masky pulled me to his room. "Brian. I'm sorry." He said the moment the door closed. "Toby explained everything to me and I'm sorry. I was an idiot for saying we were done. I want to be back together again!"
I didn't believe what I was hearing! First he dumps me and just a day later he wants me back!? Who does he think he is!
"What am I just trash that you throw away when you don't need me!" I snapped, the tears slipped down my cheeks.
"Brian... I was being stupid. Really stupid. I thought Toby had a crush on you and vice versa... I thought you loved him instead of me. But I've realized that I'm a huge, selfish, idiot for breaking up with you." I sniffled softly and looked away from him, hugging my sides gently. "Baby, I'm so sorry… I love you… I really do… And I'm so sorry for doing this to you… If you don't want me back after this, I understand… But, I want you to know that you are the only one I have ever and will ever love, even if you don't love me anymore for being the selfish bastard that I was…" He murmured. "I'm so... So... Sorry..." He said. I then looked at him, sniffling softly. What if… What if he left me again? He took my hands gently in his and pulled me to his chest. "Please tell me you forgive me..." He whispered.
"C-can y-you promise n-not to leave m-me ag-again?" I asked with a sniffle.
"I swear on my life... I swear on my life that I will never leave you again..." He murmured. I hugged his waist tightly crying softly into his chest. He stroked my hair gently with a small smile.
"Good…." I whispered softly. He purred softly, nuzzling against me. I smiled happily, my broken heart pieces coming together and flourishing happily.
"We should probably go before slender freaks out on us." I nodded, lifting my mask and wiping away my tears. We both walked out, pulling our masks on again. I smiled beneath my mask happy that I had Masky back.
We walked over to Slender's office "sir, we're here to get our mission," Masky called.
"Alright." He handed the two of us a manila folder, it's papery texture slid against the skin of my fingertips. I opened it and flipped through it. There we saw the name of one of our old friends... Alex… I couldn't see it, but I was sure Masky's eyes had widened at the sight of the name.
"W-we'll g-get it do-one…." I whispered. Dammit my stuttering. Masky could only manage to nod as he clenched and unclenched his fists. I knew he was doing this to keep calm.
We walked out together, my stomach churned… I wasn't sure what this was… Was I nervous? Or was this more of a mixture of fear... How was this possible... I was sure Alex was dead by now or something... the psychopath…
He probably had himself on lockdown… He'd probably be as paranoid as hell… I wasn't sure how we were going to do this… Honestly I was a bit scared... Why did Slender have to give us this stupid mission... Toby could've probably done it. Maybe because we know him better? That was probably the reason why... But we'd been friends for years... I couldn't kill him... At least… At least I don't think I could... Tim probably could... I think... Tim did hate him now… I was quite fearful of this mission.
"It'll be okay Hoods." Masky said softly. "I'll take care of the bastard."
"O-okay…" I muttered, cursing myself for how scared and frail I was behaving. He took my hand and squeezed it gently.
Even though Tim couldn't see, I smiled underneath my mask and squeezed his hand gently. We would be okay. Everything would be okay. As long as we were together. At least I hoped...
We walked to our victims house together... Masky peaked into the window through one of the many boards that had been nailed over it.
"C-can y-you see a-anything?" I stuttered. Masky shook his head.
"No... it's too dark... He's either not home, asleep, or has gone absolutely insane..." Tim whispered.
"P-Pr-probably the th-third…" I muttered, my throat felt dry, and my heart was pounding through my chest. Tim walked to the door and began picking the lock. I used one of my tools to remove the nails of the boards so we could go out of the windows if we needed to... I picked the lock of the window so we could actually open it. "H-have any luck w-with th-th d-door?" I asked.
"Got it." Masky whispered, slowly opening the door. I nodded, and walked towards him, and through the chestnut wood door. Masky and I crept silently through the dark house. I saw something thin across the hallway tied to one wall to the other,
"M-Masky! S-stop, trip wire!" I said, putting my arm out across his chest and pointing to the thin, barely noticeable wire.
"Woah. Thanks Hoods." He whispered.
"H-he's got th-this p-place boobytrapped." I whispered. Masky snickered.
"Heh, heh, you said booby," he snickered. I facepalmed.
"Th-this i-is not th-the t-time."
"S-sorry," he said, still snickering softly. "We'll have to be careful, especially if he's got this place rigged." I nodded. We began carefully creeping around. We kept a sharp eye out for traps and guards. Though... I don't know why there would be guards… Well, he could have hired bodyguards for all I knew… But whatever, our job was to kill him, and get rid of every ounce of information he had on the pastas. And no… Not the Italian food. Hopefully this would be easy… I prayed it would be easy…
We searched every room in the house until we found his room. Masky looked the door over. It seemed to have many locks on it.
"Woah..." He breathed. "This... This may take a while..."
"We c-can g-get in th-through the w-window's." I whispered. Masky nodded in agreement. We headed to the nearest window to Alex's room. I picked the lock and we slid inside. Masky crept up to Alex's sleeping form while I started hacking the computers. I found all sorts of information. Videos... documents... everything. I used my amazing hacking skills to delete everything… I could see information, video's, memories, flash before my eyes, as my black gloved fingers typed away at the keyboard. Soon enough, everything had been deleted. No more info on Creepypasta. Masky had killed Alex and disposed of all evidence that we had been there.
"Thank God that was easy." He muttered. I nodded in agreement, gulping down my remnants of fear. "C'mon. Let's hurry back home." Masky said softly. I nodded in agreement, my hands were shaking uncontrollably. Tim gently took my hands. "It's okay... it's over..." I nodded slowly, my legs felt weak… As if they were twigs trying to hold up a boulder. He hugged me gently. I felt myself instinctively lean into him, resting my head on his shoulder. Masky picked me up gently and began carrying me home.
I smiled underneath my mask, nuzzling into his warm chest, and wrapping my arms around his solid neck. Masky chuckled softly as he walked.
As he carried me through the woods, I peered out of them to see a small town. But what caught my eyes specifically was the sign that said cheesecake factory.
"Masky! Look!" I said pointing to the sign. Masky looked over.
"Oh my god. Do we have time?" He asked, looking at me.
"I think so…" I whispered. "Masky can we go? Pleeeease can we go?" I pleaded.
"If Slender kills us, at least we had cheesecake!" Masky grinned and quickly went to the building. We took off our masks and hid our weapons, then we ran inside and ordered a table for two. We sat down and ordered a ton of cheesecake. Both of us somehow managed to scoff it all down, we talked a bunch and fed each other spoonfuls of cheesecake. It was amazing and calmed me down a lot. Not to mention it was just wonderful having an actual date with Masky. Soon enough, we headed back to the mansion. We pulled on our masks and retrieved our weaponry. We walked into the mansion. We reported to boss that our mission was complete.
"Good job you two." Slender gave us a nod. We then left to do as we pleased because he didn't give us any more missions.
"That cheesecake was good." I said quietly, smiling widely beneath my mask.
"You said it Hoods," Masky whispered back, I could tell he was grinning by the sound of his voice. We decided to go to Masky's room for a while.
He opened the door to the room, and we both stepped inside. I plopped happily down on the bed. He closed the door, locking it, just in case there are any people that just happen to walk in. I pulled off my mask, staring at the ceiling. I felt the bed get pressed down slightly as Tim sat beside me. He wrapped his arms around my waist gently. I felt a smile pull at the corners of my lips. He purred, kissing the base of my neck. I smiled slightly and nuzzled against him. Masky hugged me a bit tighter.
"I love you Tim," I purred.
"I love you too Brian..." He murmured with a smile.
