Oh wow, it's been awhile, hasn't it?

But I'm not the only one who is inactive on this website. It's kinda died down, hasn't it? Makes me a bit sad, but people grow up and lives change.

My love for Yu-Gi-Oh, while diluted a bit, is still here. And while I started this challenge many years ago, I plan to finish it.

Disclaimer: I don't own YGO.

The light rainfall was a surprise, but Malik turned his head upward and embraced the sky. It was freeing and scary, this feeling. After years of torment and abuse and self-hatred, he was free to love and live again. He was free to return home.

Rain started to fall in heavier drops, but the boat didn't rock; this wasn't a rainstorm. Malik knew this rainfall was for him, that this rain wouldn't prolong his journey home. He smiled, closed his eyes, and allowed himself to be drenched.

Ryou heaved, his heart beating out of his chest as he bolted upright. Another nightmare, another long night. He threw the covers off and removed his sticky, sweat stained shirt. From his window there was a flash of light followed by the low rumble of thunder. Rain pelted against the pane. He stared at it then against his better judgment flung it open. Water escaped into the room and hit his face.

And yet, his nightmare faded from memory. He subconsciously reached for his chest, but the Ring had been absent for some weeks. His freedom wasn't without price, but the rain continued to pour into the room.

After another tournament concluded and Yugi returned back home with a bundle of cash and a trophy, he couldn't help but feel refreshed. This was his first competition without the pharaoh and he was almost surprised how confident he felt.

The weatherman hadn't predicted rain for the day, but water lightly pelted the window of the train. Yugi watched as the droplets trailed down the glass and smiled. There was still an absence to get used to, but he felt good.

Yes, I was listening to T Swift while writing this.
