Several weeks passed and before either Rose or Scorpius knew it the Holidays were nearing and Rose and Scorpius were on their last rounds before they both went home the following day.

"Listen, yes your team won, but I definitely made a whole lot more points than you malfo-" She stopped mid-sentence as she found herself unable to move and stumbling a little back, bumping into Scorpius

Scorpius caught her, but soon found himself unable to move as well, "What is god's name is going on?"

"Oh no." Rose muttered as she looked up and noticed small-enchanted mistletoe on the ceiling. She felt her cheeks redden and cursed under her breath. This could not be happening, and especially not with Scorpius Malfoy.

"Wha-" Scorpius started to say before he looked up too and saw the mistletoe, "Wonderful..."

Rose ran a hand through her hair not really looking at him.

"There has to be a way out of this..." She muttered trying to think of one, because running away just wasn't an option apparently.

"Lets just get this over with..." Scorpius muttered looking down at her his face blushing ever so slightly.

She looked up at him and cursed herself for blushing more.

"Come on Rose it's not that big of a deal." Scorpius said looking at her hesitance.

"Fine." She said fixing her auburn hair behind her ears nervously before standing on her tiptoes to reach him since he didn't make the first move.

Scorpius took a small breath before carefully placing a hand on the side of her face and his lips met hers.

Rose had been expecting a peck on the lips, not Scorpius' soft lips caressing hers. She moved her lips against his before she was fully aware of what was happening, his hand warm and nice against her skin.

Rose broke the kiss flushed and made sure to avoid his eyes, not knowing what to expect from him.

"Er..." Scorpius cleared his throat, "We should probably head back..."

"Yeah... Yeah we should." Rose said as they continued on their way to their common rooms. Scorpius usually dropped her off so they headed there.

'Why was he so quiet?' Rose thought, she was sure he was going to do some remark about how she's enjoyed the kiss or whatever, but he was quiet and it was freaking her out a little.

Finally after a long stretch of silence they reached the Gryffindor common room.

"I'll see you around..." He said as she opened the door, "Have a good Holiday Rose..."

Rose was frozen for a moment. He never called her by her first time. She'd had a hard time not stealing a glance at his lips as they walked and now he was being Library-Scorpius outside of the library and calling her by her first name.

It felt weird now to call him Malfoy but she never called him anything else.

"Goodnight Scorpius, you too" There she said it.

Rose rushed into the common room convinced that had been one of the most awkward moments of her life. She shook her head, maybe next morning they will have forgotten about it and just bicker again, but deep down she doubted it. Especially because under no circumstances could she stop thinking about the kiss. It had been slow and tender and very much like he was holding back, and Rose only could think about all the things girls claimed about Scorpius' ability with women and how good of a snog they claimed him to be.

"What happened?" Albus said as Scorpius entered their dorm. "You look weird"

"Did you find ghosts going at it again?" He asked scrunching his nose.

"Yeah... Something like that..." Scorpius said not really looking at his best friend since he just kissed his cousin. Even though it wasn't intentionally done.

"What did you find?" He asked looking at Scorpius' back as he looked for his pajamas.

"Nothing." Scorpius said as he changed out of his school uniform.

"But you said you found something" Albus said.

They were alone in the dorm since the other guys were still in the common room.

"It isn't important." He said as he pulled his shirt over his head.

"Well it gave you a mortified face, but you know if you don't want to tell your best friend about the fun things you find in Hogwarts at night it's alright" Albus said dramatically.

"You are such a prick..." Scorpius muttered rolling his eyes.

"You're the prick, keeping things to yourself" He said chuckling and threw a pillow at him.

Scorpius caught the pillow and threw it back at him, "It really isn't that exciting."

"Sure, that's why you're being so secret about it" Al rolled his eyes as he caught the pillow and laid back down.

Scorpius laid down on his bed and remained silent for a moment and after Albus turned off the light muttered, "I kissed your cousin..."

"What?!" Albus said and Scorpius could hear him sit up in his bed. "Please tell me I didn't hear what I heard."

Scorpius was quiet for a few moments, not sure if he should run or not

"Hey, you can't just say something like that and shut up" Albus said angrily from his bed as he crossed his arms over his chest though making no movements to get up

"We were doing our rounds and got stuck by that stupid enchanted mistletoe." He said expecting Albus to pounce or something.

Albus stayed quiet for a while and Scorpius started to get worried for his life.

"And why the grim face? Were you that bad?" He asked his tone serious though Scorpius could hear the hint of a joke.

"No." Scorpius said softly, "I called her by her first name..."

He knew that sounded incredibly stupid.

"First you kiss her And then call her by her name? Did you kiss her goodbye too? Are you giving her some flowers tomorrow at breakfast?" Albus teased.

Scorpius turned and threw his pillow at Al, "Prick." He muttered.

"I'm not the one going around walking into mistletoe to kiss girls" Albus said throwing the pillow back at Scorpius.

"You think I did it on purpose?" Scorpius said in disbelief, "No offense Al, but i don't think of your cousin in that way."

"Yeah right." Albus scoffed laying back down, knowing Rose was more likely to break Scorpius' heart and him breaking hers. "Just try not to walk into any more mistletoes with her, will ya?"

"Not planning on it." Scorpius said turning his back to Albus.
