Ranger POV

Amazing simply amazing, all that she has been through and to still have this light shine from her. She is remarkable. Moreover, I have only known her for a day; this has been on hell-a-vua day. Holy Shit was it just yesterday that I was feeling sorry for myself. What a day makes, what is that saying when one door closes another opens, in my case standing in that doorway is my Babe.

"Ok, now that I have my Hec back, and trust me you are NOT permitted to be away from life again, do you here me Mr.?" She gives him a scowl.

He just chuckled, "Si Mamá"

She just started laughing with him, "So, I think we need to continue this tour, damn there has been enough with all of this sadness. Let's get the show on the road."

I guide her back out of my office with Hector not far from us. I show her the monitors and introduce her to Cal and Hal. She is friendly with them, and then excuses us from them so not to disturb their work.

When we get to the break-room, there are only a few men in there so I introduce her to Lester, Bobby and Manny. She is just as friendly with them as she was with Cal and Hal. I look at Hector and notice a small smirk on his face as to say this is who she is to her core being. More of my men are coming in as they drawn in by her laughter.

Her spirit is contagious and the men are all falling under her spell so much so that no one has noticed Tank walk in. I give him a nod and he belts out "BACK TO WORK". I notice that Steph jumps when the command goes out, but all of them men file out of the break-room.

"Babe, you've got to be more aware of your surroundings."

"Carlos, we're in your building, with how many of your men between us and the big bad scary world? Why would I need to be aware?" Her hands wave around to make her point.

I decided to skip her observation and try to take advantage of Tank being here, "Babe, I like to introduce you to my second in command and best friend, Tank Williams. Tank please assist me in convincing Stephanie Plum into working for RangeMan."

I see her take Tank's size and demeanor in then she lets out one of her mischievous smiles "It's a good thing your Mom named you appropriately. I can't imagine a man your size being named Tiny and I have to say you must need to be a Tank in order to keep these two out of trouble." She says as she's is gesturing between Hector and me. I have known Tank a long time and I have never seen him laugh as loud as he did as when she said that, if I didn't know him as well as I do I might be scared for her.

Seeing him laugh made my Babe start giggling. "Little Girl I think you and I are going to get along just fine, just fine indeed." he throws his arm around her shoulder and guides her out of the break-room into his office with Hector and I trailing behind them.

We get to his office and he guides her in, he looks at the two of us and says, "You both have had your time with her, now it's mine. Go work and I will take care of Ms Plum." He orders us then he shuts the door.

I look over to Hector who is standing there with pretty much the same shocked expression that I have. After a few minutes of trying to listen at the door, he shrugs his shoulders "Estamos bien? Usted sabe que yo voy a ser parte de su vida, el infierno ya he sido y lamentamos profundamente el tiempo que he estado lejos de ella. Veo la mirada en tus ojos, sé que se golpean violentamente con ella, pero su mierda por ahí no es donde usted puede escondidos que no voy a tomar el mismo daño sobre ti. ¿Entiendes?"

I nod "Te escucho, usted es muy importante en su vida. Tengo que decir que sólo han pasado 24 horas, pero que significa algo para mí. Ella es el ángel de la luz en mi oscuro mundo no creo que le puedo dar para arriba."

He just gives me his own nod in understanding.
