This was on the tip of his tongue but he finally found the word he wanted to describe this feeling. Exhilarating. Yes, yes that was it. It was this entire journey from start to finish wrapped in a bow with one single word. Exciting and terrifying.
Exhilarating.
Yugi almost didn't want this to be it, but from the moment he clicked the final piece into the Puzzle this road was inevitable. Surrounded by family and friends made it so much easier but so much harder. None of them wanted to see Atem go either.
Atem smiled at Yugi, a grin of confidence and also kindness. This was it. The final test. The final duel.
And it felt so exhilarating.
