Seems like stormy waters are ahead...
The last days of summer were spent in visits to both the Malfoy manor and Rose's house, and strolls around London. Soon classes started and despite how hard it was Rose and Scorpius managed to find the time to be together.
Scorpius and Albus rented a flat together and what seemed like a flash it was summer again. They all went on a road-trip, Albus, James, Rose, Scorpius, Victoire and Teddy. Rose happily moved to London with Victorie, excited about being closer to Scorpius.
However their happiness didn't last forever. The second year came around harder and more time consuming, leaving Rose and Scorpius struggling to see each other. Rose missed Scorpius, she was stressed out and felt sad and worried and wanted him to just tell her it was going to be alright so she called him constantly. Sometimes as finals came around she sat and cried over the phone with him about not being able to do well on tests. Scorpius answered alright, and reassured her most of the time that it was alright but he grew desperate with time.
"Scorp" she said trying to hide that she was crying from him. "Since... Since you finished your finals... Can you come over? Victoire is over at Teddy's.." She said softly into the phone, closing her eyes to hold the tears back.
Scorpious was quiet for moment not exactly sure how to answer. He could tell that she was trying not to cry.
He never had a problem with crying girls nor was it that he didn't want to comfort Rose, but lately he found her being more and more clingy and he was starting to get annoyed, "I'm sorry Rosie..." He said softly a small knot in his gut, "But I can't... I'm just about to leave to go and visit my parents..."
"Oh... It's alright then. Send your parents my regards" She said trying to sound a bit more cheerful. "Tell your mom I'm sorry I haven't answered her invitation for tea, it's just well... You know i've been busy." she took a small deep breath. "I gotta go Scorp" she said knowing she wouldn't hold back the tears much longer as she eyed the ton of pages she had still to go over.
"Ok... Don't push yourself too hard love... You'll be ok..." He said softly as he hung up.
What did he just do?
Rose lowered the phone and curled herself up against the wall putting her head between her knees. She took a deep breath and cleaned the tears on her cheeks before going over to wash her face with cold water and make some tea.
Oh how she wished Scorpius was there with her.

Time passed, Scorpius kept finding ways to avoid Rose.
One day on christmas day Rose made plans with Scorpius to see each other before class started again. He was supposed to go for lunch with his friends and see her in the afternoon, but time went by and he soon forgot and went to a pub with his friends while Rose found herself in the living-room of Albus and Scorpius' flat while her cousin looked at her worriedly.
"Albus just go out with your friends... I'll be alright I'll just... Wait for him to arrive i'm sure he's running late..."
Yeah more like sitting late because he was supposed to be there two hours ago.
"Are you sure Rose? You can come along..."
"Yes i'm sure Albus go…" And after a bit more convincing he was out and left her alone sitting on the couch, an untouched cup of tea on her lap.
It was about a half hour later that Scorpius came back to his flat and found Rose sitting on the couch on the flat.
"Hey." He said looking at her, a bit confused for a moment before it clicked on his brain.
'Shit.' He thought after a moment.
"Hey.." She said her voice dry. "Had a good time?"
His cheeks were slightly pink from the cold and even from where she was sitting she could smell the beers, smoke and fire-whiskey from the pub.
He looked at her and was not even sure what to say so many thoughts were running through his head and he couldn't think of one to choose.
"Well then... Did you?" She asked more forcefully as she grew desperate with his silence.
Rose stood up from the couch, her arms around her. He could see she'd really dressed for their dinner, makeup, heels, a yellow flowery shirt that suited her and the dark jeans he liked so much on her, "I cancelled the reservation after the first half-hour"
"Rose I'm so sorry..." He said speaking softly, "The time just got away..." He knew right then that it was a stupid excuse.
"I thought you were just going to have lunch with your friends..?" She said her face still hard, her jaw tight. "Or did I misunderstand?"
"I was... then we ended up going to the pub..." If looks could kill he would be 6 feet under by then.
"Scorpius seriously! You see your friends everyday! /Everyday/. How many times do we manage to see each other properly?! We plan one night just to go to dinner and you fucking forget and go to the pub with your friends after we talked about this yesterday?" Her cheeks were getting red with anger. "How could you forget?!"
Scorpius ran a hand through his hair, "I don't know... I know I screwed up... I really am sorry... Let me make it up to you..."
"No, don't touch me" She said as he tried to reach for her arm. "This is not the first time you do this to me Scorpius! I cannot call you half an hour before we're supposed to see each other to remind you! You're supposed to remember yourself!"
"I know..." He sighed. He screwed up and he knew it, but he had absolutely no idea how to fix it. He had seen her mad before, but never had it been like this at him.
"I just.." Rose took a small breath. "I'm going to go home" She said and turned and made a book float over to her. "Here" she said harshly as she slammed the expensive enciclopedia on his chest. "Congratulations on passing everything" She said her tone cold.
She'd gotten him the one he wanted but had not bought because of how much it cost. Rose turned to leave, wanting to get out of there.
Scorpius looked at her for a moment, not even caring about the stupid book, "Rose wait..." He grabbed her wrist.
"What?!" She snapped at him turning and looking into his eyes.
"Please just calm down from a moment..." He said softly looking back at her, "What can I do to make it up to you...?"
"I don't want to calm down! I've been sitting here for the past two and a half hours with a present waiting for you to decide to come back to your flat" She said pulling her arm off his hand.
"I'm mad, and if you're so keen on avoiding that, then maybe you should start with not fucking forgetting our dates, or I don't know trying to see me instead of having me trying to see you all the time while you try to sneak off with your friends."
Scorpius didn't know what to say, but knew that she was right. He let go of her arm and watched as she walked out the door for he decided to let her cool off.

The next morning he got up and went over to Rose's flat with a lone flower in his hand and he was going to try and make things right.
Rose wasn't in exactly the best of looks. She'd had trouble sleeping after her row with Scorpius, spending the night just pouring her heart out to Victoire who was almost as offended as Rose by Scorpius' forgetfulness. She was surprised when she heard a knock on the door and went over to open in sweatpants and an t-shirt, the circles under her eyes showing the lack of sleep just as much as her knotty hair in a messy bun.
"Hey..." She said when she saw him, a very much tired and sorry look on his face.
"Hey..." He said softly, "Can I come in..?"
Rose hesitated for a moment but finally made room for him. She hated fighting with him and even though she was still very much mad she was glad he'd showed up, that he showed he cared.
"Here..." He said softly handing her the flower, "I remember you almost hit me when I got you a bunch so I'm trying with just one..." He gave a small forced smile before sobering up and becoming serious once more, "I wanted to come and say that I was sorry... I don't know how many times I have to say it... But I'll say it as many times as you want..."
Rose turned the flower in her fingers. "It's not about how many times you apologize..." Rose said, her tone tired. "I just want you to stop doing this Scorpius. If you don't want to go out fine, but at least tell me" she said looking away from him.

Scorpius placed a hand on the side her her face, "I still want to go out with you... I know I screwed up a few times and I promise that it will not happen again. I mean it." He was softly
Rose looked up into his eyes. "Alright... " she breathed softly and let him pull her into his arms, burying her face on his chest.
"I love you so much..." He said softly and placed a kiss on the top of her head
Rose sighed. "I love you too, you idiot." she mumbled, her arms around his waist.
Scorpius looked at her for a few moments before he placed a soft kiss on her lips
Rose kissed him back, her hand running up slowly to go around his neck. Her eyebrows furrowed slightly as she deepened the kiss, loving the feel of his arms around her.
Scorpius pulled her closer to him and with one hand, gently caressed the side of her face
"You're an idiot" she mumbled softly against his lips. "I don't know why I put up with you." she said kissing him, the kisses growing more passionate.
Scorpius turned them around so that she was leaning against the wall, "I don't know either..." He said his voice low, "I'm grateful you do..."
"You better be.." She said closing her eyes as he went down to kiss her neck. "Bedroom. Victoire will come back soon."
Scorpius picked her up and brought her into the bed room, not breaking the kiss as he did so.
Rose mumbled a silencing spell as she kissed him before moving to pull at his clothes frantically.
Scorpius's shirt was soon on the floor and it wasn't too long before Rose's joined his and the rest of their clothes disappeared.
"I love you.." Rose said as Scorpius kissed his way down her body, burying her fingers on his hair
"I love you too..." He said as he placed a kiss on the inside of her thigh and slowly worked his way to his target
Rose arched her back as he reached his goal. It didn't take too long for Rose to shudder as her orgasm washed through her.
"Come here" she said softly pulling him up and kissing him deeply.
Scorpius pulled her close to him as her legs wrapped around him. He deepened the kiss and he entered her slowly.
Rose ran her nails softly on his back, meeting his hips with hers. Soon they were both panting as they kissed, not getting enough of each other as they moved, their hands all over the other.
They murmured love words to the other as they came closer. After a moment more Rose tightened around him and it took Scorpius a few moment more to come too.
When they both came down from their bliss, Scorpius slowly pulled out of her and gathered her in his arms as he laid beside her.
Rose sighed softly, making patterns with one of her fingers on his chest. "That was great." She said with a small smile. They hadn't done it like that in some time.
"I agree..." He said placing a small kiss on her lips.
Rose kissed him for a moment more before moving a hand up to run it through his hair, looking at him. "Did you like the book I got you...?" She asked softly.
"I loved it... Thank you..." He said giving her a small smile
She shrugged softly. "You seemed like you really wanted it the other day" Ahe said returning the small smile.
"I did... You are amazing for it..." He said and placed a kiss on her forehead.
"Thank you" she said softly giving him a small smile.
"You're welcome."
