Cheepskipper watched as it poured down harshly in tropical Seaside Hill, being at Mummipokey's Artifact Base as he glanced at the many useless knick knacks placed everywhere within the small base.
"I don't know how Mummipokey does it, but he manages to get customers pretty quick." Cheepskipper grumbled as he gritted his teeth. "It's been hours and I have yet to see an actual customer."
Dry Bowser walked by, going on his usual rainy stroll as he turned to Cheepskipper. "That's because it's raining harshly. No one other than the masochists like myself want to be out here."
"Well I should have looked up the weather before doing this crappy switch," Cheepskipper snarled as he sighed, closing his eyes. "I'd wager if it was nice, this wouldn't be happening to me. Damn it..."
Dry Bowser shrugged as he kept walking, leaving Cheepskipper to contemplate about his failure as one flashback was triggered to earlier morning, with Cheepskipper and Mummipokey both walking on the sandy right side of the grassy pathway leading to the underwater tube in the Ocean Ruins race course.
"You want a shot at running my Artifact Base?" Mummipokey asked as he moved side to side.
"Eh, sure. It's not like I'm gonna get much customers," Cheepskipper admitted as he sighed, shaking his head. He did not anticipate the rain coming in later on at all.
