Hey, sorry we haven't updated in a while. We've been busy with school and sports and stuff like that. But here it is! Finally! This chapter will start in Amaya's POV. Remember to read RavenNightshade98's fanfics and my other ones, too, please!

Ch. 6 Unexpected

"Okay, come on out guys!" Karasu yelled. "You have to be ready by now!"

"We're not coming out!" Tamashi yelled back. "This is embarassing!"

"You have to come out!" I yelled. "The deal was that if Karasu won, then we got to dress you guys up however we wanted to! Well, Karasu won, so you have to uphold your end of the deal! You promised!"

"No, we didn't!" Gaara yelled. "That was your idea! Not ours!"

"But you didn't argue with it!" Neliel pointed out. They stopped arguing with us and walked out into the living room. We burst out laughing.

Tamashi was wearing a frilly pink dress and had a pink bow in his hair. Seikatsu was wearing his normal ninja clothes, but over them, he was wearing a bikini, and he was wearing makeup. Gaara was wearing a frilly yellow dress, a yellow bow in his hair, makeup, and he was holding a teddy bear. Kaemon was dressed as a maid, and some of his hair was pulled back into a low ponytail.

"That's a good look for you guys!" Neliel said, still laughing.

"Shut up!" Kaemon said, blushing.

Temari walked in and burst out laughing. "What are you guys wearing? Did you lose a bet or something?"

"Actually, yes, they did," I answered. "They lost in a game of cards, and the deal was that if they lost, then they would have to dress up however we wanted them to. They lost."

"That's probably the best thing I've ever heard. I'm sorry to say I have to put an end to it."

"What? Why?" Karasu asked.

"I came to tell all of you that the Hokage has sent an urgent message and needs the three of you to return immediately. It seems Konoha is under attack."

"That village just can't catch a break. This is, what, the...fourth time?"

"Something like that," Neliel agreed. "I guess we'll go, then."

"We'll go, too," Tamashi said, referring to him, Seikatsu, and Kaemon.

"I will be going as well," Gaara said. "I'll leave the Kazekage duties to you and Kankuro."

"All right, then," Temari agreed. "You must leave immediately. It takes about three days to get there, and by the time you get there, it may be too late."

"I doubt it," I said. "Konoha is a strong village. There's a reason they've survived so many attacks."

We let the guys change, and then we left Suna and made our way to Konoha.

~The Next Day~

"I'm tired of walking!" Karasu complained. "Can we take a shortcut?"

"There aren't any shortcuts to take," Gaara said. "If there were, we would take one."

"If there aren't any shortcuts, then we'll just have to make one."

"And how do you plan to do that?" Karasu, Neliel, and I looked at each other and smiled.

"We have our ways," Neliel said. "Well, let's go." Karasu disappeared into the shadows; Neliel vanished into thin air; and I sank into the Earth. We moved as fast as we could to get to Konoha.

It was only a few seconds after we left that I realized we forgot the guys. I turned around and got back to them at the same time Neliel and Karasu did.

"I'm so sorry!" I apologized. "I totally forgot about you guys!"

"Are we that easy to forget?" Seikatsu asked, with a sort of puppy dog look in his eyes. I felt my cheeks go red.

"No, you're not! I was just thinking that we needed to get to Konoha as soon as possible, and it was distracting me from everything else."

Seikatsu laughed. "I was just teasing." Then his face got serious. "We need to get moving."

"Gaara-kun, Tama-kun, you guys are coming with me!" Karasu said as she grabbed them by their arms. She disappeared into the shadows with them. Kaemon and Neliel vanished into thin air, and Seikatsu and I sunk into the Earth.

After that, it only took about half an hour to get to Konoha. When we got there, the village was in a panic. Buildings were on fire, people were running around, and shinobi were fighting other shinobi from Kuraigakure and Arashigakure, two villages that Neliel, Karasu, and I have a bad history with. We immediately jumped into the battle.

~Seikatsu's POV~

Tamashi, Kaemon, Gaara, and I stayed close to the girls during the battle. They hadn't been in an actual battle in a while, so we decided to protect them without letting them know. After a little while, it became obvious that our protection was much needed. Since they're used to one-on-one battles, they were forgetting to watch their backs. So we had to watch their backs for them, which paid off more than once.

It eventually began to seem like the attacks were never-ending. The enemy shinobi were like a Hydra: for every one you killed, two more took his place. It began to seem impossible to defeat them. When I looked at my friends, I could see in their eyes that they thought the same thing. We were exhausted. We couldn't fight forever.

As I finished the thought, I saw a shinobi from Arashigakure move to attack Amaya. She was preoccupied with two shinobi from Kuraigakure, so she didn't notice the other shinobi. I ran for her as fast as I could. I watched as the shinobi from Arashigakure moved to slash at her with his kunai. I'm not going to make it! I thought. He's going to hit her! He's going to kill her!

But he didn't.

Just as he slashed down with the kunai, I jumped in front of her. Instead of hitting her, the kunai hit me instead. The shinobi slashed down at me from my left shoulder to my right hip, leaving a long wound on my torso. Pain shot through me, and the edges of my vision began to turn black. I collapsed as the whole world went dark.

~Karasu's POV~

As I cut down a shinobi from Kuraigakure, I saw Seikatsu collapse out of the corner of my eye. I looked over and saw that he was lying in a small pool of blood that was slowly expanding. A shinobi from Arashigakure was standing over him, with a bloody kunai in his hand. I ran toward him, managed to get the kunai from his hands, and stabbed him in the heart, succesfully killing him.

"Amaya, Neliel!" I yelled. "We have to open the Gates! Otherwise, this will never end!" They nodded their heads in agreement. We began opening our Gates, in the same order we've always done: me, Neliel, and then Amaya.

"Gates of Hell. I command thee to open!"

"Gates of Heaven. I command thee to open!"

"Gates of Earth. I command thee to open!"

Amaya's Gate, as usual, opened first. Hers is always the first to open, since she's closer to Earth than Neliel and I are to Heaven and Hell.

All of the enemy shinobi stopped attacking us and stared in awe as our gates began to appear. All except one. Before we knew what was happening, a shinobi attacked Amaya and stabbed her in the neck.

"No!" I screamed. I felt tears streaming down my face as I saw her Gate close as she fell to the ground. I watched her as she crawled over to where Seikatsu lay, now awake with a shocked expression on his face and tears gathering at the corners of his eyes. He blinked them away.

"Sei...kat...su," Amaya whispered, struggling to get her voice to work. "You have to...take...my Gate."

"I can't," he whispered back, his voice wavering.

"You have to. Karasu and...Neliel...need the...third Gate. Please. If they...don't have it...then...they can't...open the Gates. Please."

"A-all right." Amaya grabbed Seikatsu's hand, and she began to glow. As the Gate passed to Seikatsu, she began to glow less as he began to glow. Eventually she stopped glowing and her face grew slack. She was now extremely pale, and her eyes were glazed over. She was dead.

Neliel's Gate opened faster than normal now, and I struggled to get mine to open faster. Normally, we wouldn't be able to open only two of the Gates at once, but with Seikatsu still glowing with the power of the third Gate, we could still keep our gates under control. Chains shot out from my Gate and dragged people inside, as Holy Fire came from Neliel's gate, burning them to death instantly.

When all of the enemy shinobi were dead, we closed our Gates, and Seikatsu stopped glowing and fell unconcious. Neliel fell to her knees, an expression of shock on her face. I wanted to go over and comfort her, but my feet wouldn't move. It was like they were glued to that one spot.

Tamashi came over and wrapped his arms around me. He put one hand behind my head and pulled it to his shoulder. I saw Kaemon go over to Neliel and reach out like he was going to hug her, but decided against it. Instead he leaned down and whispered something to her. I assume he told her she needed to get up, because that's what she did. But as soon as she was on her feet, her legs collapsed, and Kaemon caught her. She put her face into his chest and began sobbing.

It was the first time I'd ever seen her cry. I'd known her all her life, and she didn't even cry when she was born. What were we supposed to do now?

Well, there it is! Sorry for whoever liked Amaya. We decided she needed to be killed off. Review, please!
