I stood in a vast expanse of nothingness, not caring that I was alone, because I didn't know anything else. I knew I'd lived a life before this, maybe even after, but I had no memory. It was as if everything about me had been stripped down to this blank canvas.
I started to walk, not really knowing why, but I did. It felt right to walk like this, without a purpose yet still feeling as if I had one. It was an odd feeling, but it was the first I could remember.
"Roxas." An innocent voice called out from my right, quickly drawing my attention. Standing there was a girl in a long black cloak that hugged her slender body. I couldn't make out any details of her face because of the shadow the hood she was wearing cast.
"What?" I asked, not recognizing the word, or the person who'd spoken it, though her voice seemed familiar to me.
"That is your name isn't it?" She said, her voice becoming a little condescending.
"I don't know, is it?" I asked, looking at her, not sure what was going on, or where I was anymore. I had begun to remember who I was.
"You sure are." Another voice said from behind me. I quickly turned to see a man with a lean build wearing a black coat similar to the girls, except for the red lined hood. "Now get moving; you're useless in your current state."
After saying that the man faded into a purple darkness, his yellow eyes the last things to go. Once he had gone the scene had changed. I was in a city made from orange bricks, a clock tower to my left, and a rail way in the distance ahead of me.
I was walking again, the girl in the hood by my side, neither of us talking anymore. Something about this place somehow seemed familiar though I had no memory of coming here before.
Out of nowhere a massive shadow appeared in front of me and started to become 3:D, turning into a giant with spikey hair.
On instinct I drew a sword shaped similar to a key that seemed to be made out of marble, the end with a blue star like shape to it. I through the blade at the creatures face, the star shape sticking in, I then ran forward jumped into a one handed hand stand and launched myself up to the blade, taking hold of it. I twisted the sword which prompted the giant to pull me off so that I landed behind the door. When the beast sent its fist down I was still in a kneeling position and unable to move, but luckily the girl drew her blade, shattering the beasts arms.
I looked wide eyed at the black key like sword with the intricate metal work at the end and bat wings around her hands. I nodded, not knowing what I meant by doing so, but suddenly doing it instead. I stood and ran at the creature, my right handed blade intertwining with the girls left handed one. Once close enough we both through our blades so that they spun as one right at the giants neck. The beast slowly turned into a massive black cloud collapsing on its own wait.
I looked at the girl, a massive smile on my face, but I couldn't tell if she was smiling too, I couldn't tell anything about her face really. She reached out and put her hand on my shoulder, her innocent blue eyes staring at me. "Save him Roxas."
Roxitas
I woke up with a jump, startling my friends who were sitting around me. They had all changed out of the swim suits and were wearing their close as they stood around my room.
"Are you okay man?" Hayner asked, standing up from his leaning position on the left side of my bed. "You grabbed Fuus shoulder and passed out. What was that all about?"
"I thought she was an old friend of mine." I said, looking at my friends worried faces, not knowing how to respond. "I'm fine, I haven't been getting enough sleep lately." I continued, a goofy smile washing over my face.
"Well then do, you gave us all a heart attack." Olette said, her voice taking on that motherly quality Hayner Pence and I always hated. "You need to take care of yourself."
"What I need is to get back to work." I said, sitting up before anyone could protest. "I just got at least an hour's worth of sleep, I'll be fine."
"You've been asleep for three days." Pence said, looking away from me in that sad way he always did. "Your other friends have been coming by every day now."
"Especially a girl named Namine and a guy called Lea." Hayner said, looking out the window at the far side of my room. "Looks like one of theme's here now."
I looked out to see an iron surfboard descending from a glowing whole in the sky. I quickly looked down at my bare chest and looked up at my friends.
"Would you mind if I get dressed?" I asked, all my friends' eyes widening, and Olette even being brought to blush. "I don't want to greet Ven while wearing a toga."
I walked down the stairs to see Ven standing alone in my entrance hall, looking at the replica of a large palace.
"When your friends said you were awake I decided we should do this alone." He said, looking up to stare at me with his innocent blue eyes. "Who are you searching for?"
"What business is it of yours?" I answered, walking down the rest of the stairs to be level with the keyblade wielder. "What I do with my life is my business."
"I agree, but I wanted to know." He said, looking back to the castle in front of him. "You know Twilight Town used to have a king."
"No I didn't." I said, looking at him as he smiled down at the sparkling gold in the glass case. "How do you know that?"
"I grew up here." He answered, bringing his attention back to me, his face completely innocent. "Of course no one recognizes me anymore; I did disappear about fifteen years ago after all."
"I didn't know that, I thought you came from the Land of Departure." I said, looking at him as he smiled openly to me.
"No one comes from the Land of Departure." He said, still smiling at me. "It's a place Keyblade wielders go to train, no one's lived there since the planets divided."
"I thought I was the most knowledgeable member of this little team." I said, looking blankly at the castle. "I guess I was wrong."
"I don't know, you were the first to realize that the worlds were going to reconnect." He said in an honest yet enthusiastic tone. "You're also probably the only one who knows how to save Sora."
"And how do you think that?" I asked, looking at the man in front of me, his face still filled with joy. "It's not like I sent my self through the Door to the Light. I'm just as clueless as the rest of you."
"But you've spent to most time in the realm between." He said, turning me by the shoulder. "You have to save Sora Roxitas; you're the only one who can."
"I'm just a guy who's good with a Keyblade." I said, looking at those determined eyes that now that I see them, have more depth than most. "What makes me so special?"
"Because, you're a Nobody who became more." Ven said, his voice carrying sadness I wasn't used to from him. "You have the greatest parts of Sora and myself with a life of your own to top it off, you have the strength to do anything."
"Fine, but Terra's going to have to agree to work with me." I said, looking Ven straight in the eye. "That's my condition."
"I can help with that." Ven said with a smirk on his face.

A slender girl in a black coat sits at a piano, her back to us. She looks like she's been playing for a while, by the way her hands move as if they've done this a hundred times. Then she sings in the most innocent voice you can imagine.
"Reasons ignored, no longer caring. How long it may take, just to mend the heart break. Lost and unsure the boy is fading a distant fragment of nobody important. Wishing for a day lost in memories distant." She stops, her hands moving away from the piano, and she looks up.
Last Roxitas chapter for a while, though now I'm having trouble deciding between Namine and Ven. Also, in case you didn't catch it the Keyblades the girl in the hood and Roxas had were Oblivion Key and Oathkeeper. Please review this chapter.
