Namine
I sat at my wooden desk inside my small room at Yensids Tower, one of my old drawings in front of me. It was a simple picture of Roxas sitting on top of the clock tower with Axel, but part of it, the part next to Roxas, seemed off. It was as if I had erased something, though I distinctly remember drawing this, and I didn't erase anything from that spot.
I looked up from my drawing and towards the clock by my bed that was behind me and to my left. It read twelve a clock; I stood up and turned right to walk to the door. 'I need to visit Roxitas, Lee's too busy with his training.'
I walked out of the door and ran straight into Ven, knocking him, and myself, onto the floor. I looked to my right to see him standing up, a dazed expression on his face. He looked down at me and smiled at me, holding out his hand.
"Sorry about that Namine." He said as he helped me off the ground. "Yensid wanted me to visit Roxitas today so I was in a bit of a hurry."
"Yensid wants you to visit him?" I said, looking disappointedly at his kind face. "Why didn't he tell me?"
"I don't know, maybe he just forgot." Ven said, starting to walk down the hall. "If you want I can tell him I'm busy."
"No, that's okay; I was working on something anyways." I said, forcing a smile so that Ven wouldn't feel bad. "It's nice to have some more free time."
"Cool, see you when I get back Namine." He said, waving as he headed towards the stair case. He had such a free ness to him that somehow baffled me, as if nothing that had made his life hard had ever happened. Sometimes though, if you watched him closely enough, you could see a trace of the pain in his eyes that you'd never see in his face.
'I should get back to that drawing.' I thought, turning back to my open door and walking back into the room. 'But how am I supposed to figure this out, if I can't remember it how can I figure out what happened.'
I knocked on Yensids door, waiting for the former Keyblade Master to answer. I had decided that if I couldn't figure it out on my own that he'd be the best person to talk to about it.
"Come in." He called, not bothering to come to the door himself, which I shouldn't really be surprised about considering his busy nature.
I walked in to see the man standing in the middle of a glowing model of the worlds, each one of them about the size as a blitz ball.
"Master Yensid, I was wondering if you could help me with something." I said, walking into the room, the thin piece of paper pressed against my chest. "I have a drawing that I can't quite figure out; something just seems off about it."
"What exactly do you mean by off Namine?" He asked, drawing lines each one originating from a different world.
"Well, it feels like I erased something that I don't remember drawing." I said, walking up to the wizard as he looked at his drawings, scratching his head. "Are you paying attention to me?"
"Oh yes, of course." He said, taking his attention away from his model. "Why don't you let me have a look at your drawing?"
I hesitantly handed him the drawing, not wanting it to be torn. He looked at it, squinting his eyes and tilting his head.
"This drawing has been altered, but not by your pencil." Yensid said, handing the drawing back to me. "The thing that was there before has been wiped from the realm of light, even in memory."
"What, how is that possible?" I asked, completely shocked by his quick and strange answer. "Something can't just stop existing, especially in memory."
"That's not quite what I meant." He said, bringing his attention back to his model. "And about how it's possible, that's something you might want to ask yourself."
"How would I know something like that?" I asked, getting a little impatient with the black haired Sorcerer. "And if you didn't mean that they stopped existing, then why did you say that?"
"Namine, it's your drawing, you're the one that knew what it was, you're one of the few people who would know." He said, looking back to me again, his voice completely calm. "And what I meant is that they exist in another realm, and still have some remnant in memory, which your drawing is evidence of."
I looked at a Yensid for a few seconds, trying to soak all of this information in. 'How am I going to remember something that's barely been remembered by anyone.'
"You might want to try talking to Roxitas about it." Yensid said as if he could hear my thoughts. "He seems to be having similar troubles with a girl he used to know, maybe they're connected."
"Thank you Master Yensid." I said, still confused by everything he had said to me. I turned to walk out of the room when I remembered something. "Master, how did you know what had happened."
"Roxas has his arm out like he's pushing someone, and there's an extra shadow." He answered, not even bothering to look away from the lines in front of him. "It's probably why you thought something was off in the first place."
"Thank you again Master." I said in awe, opening the door that was behind me. "You've been a big help."
I walked down the hall, looking blankly ahead of me, not paying much attention when I thought I saw Roxitas, but when I looked up there was just another one of this towers blank walls.
'Who are you?'
?
A girl in a black cloak sits in front of a grand piano that seems to be to only object in an empty void. She started to peck at the keys on the piano, a simple yet elegant tune coming from the strings the hammers hit. She looked up; her face still covered by her hood, and began to sing in the purest voice imaginable.
"Drawing on paper, constructed of hope and stardust. Gathering memories long ago lost and forgotten in the void of night. Line up the pieces."
AN: A little different from some of my other chapters, but I think it's a good representation of Namines character. I hope you agree but even if you didn't I'd still like you to review this chapter. Oh and here's a link to this song watch?v=7Gzmba4F8CA&list=RD7Gzmba4F8CA.
