I'm back, and I've made a resolution. You'll be getting a chapter of this every three to four weeks since I'm going to be focusing more on my other stories. Sorry if you like this more frequent updating but too bad. Also, I haven't got any feedback on that show idea, do I need to post a pole or something, or do you guys just not like the idea.
I walked through the large doors of the familiar mansion to be greeted by an angelic sound. It was simple, yet made me feel so many different things at once. Then there was the voice, a deep and sweet voice filled with a great deal of sadness. All I was able to make out though was the word 'remember.'
I looked to the left where the sound was coming from to see the old wooden doors that DiZ and Riku would often go through. I walked forward, forgetting the reason I had come here in the first place, and then I opened to door to see a near empty room.
In front of me was a small rectangular table and two wooden chairs. On the left was a wall with a window on it, white curtains covering it, similar to the one in front of me. Then on the right wall was a stone fireplace, that was slightly blocked by a sleek black piano, Roxitas in full cloak sitting at it.
"That's beautiful." I said as I walked towards him, the music stopping at that instant. "I'm sorry, please don't stop."
"It's not finished yet." He said in his usual gruff tone. "So, are you here to tell me off Namine? If you are, then I already beat you to it."
"What do you mean you beat me to it?' I asked, waiting for him to stand from the piano. "That didn't sound like you were upset with yourself."
"Namine, when this is all over maybe we can be friends again." Roxitas began, still not turning around. "But until then I need to focus on finding…"
"Who Roxitas, who are you trying to find?" I asked, remembering how mad I was at him. "Because whoever she is, she's not worth losing Lea."
"I know, but it's something I need to do." He said, as he brushed his hands over the keys. "I promised her we'd always be best friends. Her, me, and Lea"
"Roxitas, if you don't stay friends with Lea than you've already broken your promise." I said, putting my hand on his shoulder. "We can find her, and Sora, together."
"I'm not sure he agrees with you." Roxitas said, prompting me to turn around and see Terra. "He's not exactly my biggest fan."
"No, I'm not." He said, walking towards Roxitas and I. "But I'm not going to let you break a promise to your best friend. You just have to do one thing."
"And what exactly is that?" Roxitas asked, still not turning around. "Because if it's give up Vanitas than I can't."
"I wouldn't expect you to." Terra said, now standing next to me. "I want you to duel me, and then I'll decide."
"Terra, you can't be serious." I said, pushing him away from Roxitas. "You've seen how he fights, how do you plan to beat that?"
"No, I'm not going to use those powers." Roxitas said, standing up. "I want to win this fair and square."
Roxitas took of his hood and turned around, unzipping his coat in the process. He had a sly smirk on his face as he looked at his opponent.
"Let's take this outside."
I stood watching as Roxitas cracked his neck in the empty training field, Terra doing the same with his fingers. I'd seen them both fight, but I wasn't sure if Roxitas could win without using his speed.
Roxitas suddenly stopped and took a fighting stance, drawing his Keyblades in the process. Terra did the same, and Roxitas charged, scrapping his blades on the ground. Terra stood there waiting until Roxitas was close, then he slammed Earth Shaker into the ground, piers of Rock forming between the two warriors.
Roxitas flipped over the rocks, landing behind Terra and swung. Terra quickly turned and blocked the strike only to be kicked over his own rock spire. When Terra landed Roxitas jumped through the spires and struck Terra with both his Keyblades, sending the man flying towards me.
Terra stopped himself right in front of me and charged at Roxitas, cutting the white stone as he ran. Roxitas blocked Terras downward strike with both blades, catching it in the process. He then kicked Terra to the ground and flung his Keyblade across the field.
Roxitas swung at Terras neck with two become one, inciting the larger man to role to the side. As Roxitas tried to pull his blade from the stone Terra summoned his and swung at Roxitas' back. Roxitas quickly dropped to the ground and blocked with Void Gear, holding himself up with his good arm.
Sweat had begun to drip from both of their brows as the held eacother, then Terra jumped back, giving Roxitas the opportunity to flip backwards onto his feet. He summoned Two Become One and charged at Terra swung down with his right hand which was easily blocked; he stabbed at Terra with his left but was evaded. Terra then swung his right knee into Roxitas' gut, causing him to crumple to the ground.
Roxitas roled onto his back to see Terra swinging down at his neck, but he didn't move. Terra stopped right above Roxitas' neck, and smiled.
"I was wondering if you'd keep your promise." Terra said, reaching down with his now Keyblade free hand. "You've proven that you're a good man as well as a good fighter."
"Thank you Terra." Roxitas said as I rushed to the field. "How about next time you avoid tapping into Xemnas' powers when we fight."
"Roxitas, are you okay?" I asked as I took his weight away from Terra. "That looked like it must have hurt."
"It did, but I'll be fine." He said, looking down at me with a smile on his face, and in his yellow eyes. "Why don't we get back to the mansion, that way my intestines can bruise in piece?"
"Don't be such a baby Roxitas." Terra said as we started to walk back towards the mansion. "I didn't hit you that hard."
"Well it sure felt like you hit me that hard." Roxitas said in his usual sarcastic voice. "Hey, we never decided who was going to what world to investigate."
"Why can't you give it a break." I said, as we walked into the Mansion. "We'll have another meeting in a week."
"Fine, but why don't you and Lea come by sometime before that." Roxitas said, as I sat him on the left staircase. "Yensid said you were having trouble with an old drawing."
We appear next to a lean girl in a black cloak playing a piano in a simple tune, a beautiful and innocent voice singing.
"Caged is the bird, with the pen and the paper of your Heart. Casting Shadows of Memories, of another time, and another place. Onto the pages.
Well this chapter took a few unexpected turns. I wish I wouldn't map these things out so clearly, then I wouldn't be so upset when nothing goes as planned, but this is better anyways.
