AN: Once again I'm going to wait a bit to do the next Lea chapter. I need to watch Aerith's death scene and then I'll be able to properly do it, so just wait a bit longer.
Roxitas
I walked through my Balance Corridor, Namine following close behind me. I had decided to put my hood up for this mission since I didn't want to have distractions, which sadly included my friends.
"So Roxa… I mean Roxitas, what exactly are we looking for?" Namine asked as we walked through my court yard.
I stopped and looked up at the red bricked buildings outside of my property. "To be entirely honest I don't know, but the best places to look would be my house and the clock tower."
"Wait, you sent us all too different worlds without knowing what we're looking for?" Namine asked angrily. "Fine, why are those the best places to look?"
"The Clock Tower is where the Key Hole is, while my house is the most connected to the darkness." I answered, starting to walk to my front gate again. "I've already conducted a thorough examination of my house so I know it's not there, so I think we should start at the tower."
"I guess that makes since." She said as I pushed my gates open and headed out. "But if we don't know what we're looking for how do we know when we've found it?"
"It'll feel, how do I describe it, like Darkness." I answered, swinging to the two large gates behind Namine and I.
"Roxitas, I don't know what Darkness feels like." Namine said as we walked down the red bricked street.
"Well, it's different every time." I said as we began to walk up the slope of the hill. "Sometimes it feels like horrible rage, while other times it's as if you can't move from the pain and sadness."
"I'm glad I can't feel that." Namine said as we continued to walk up the hill to the Clock Tower. "It must be horrible."
"Everyone can feel the Darkness Namine; it's just not as easy for some to perceive it in anything but their own Hearts."I said, not looking back at my friend. "Sora's one of those who has an abnormally strong ability to do so, as well as the light."
"Riku and Terra can smell Darkness as well." Namine said as we walked through the gateway that lead to the Clock Tower square.
"Only Darkness and they can't sense its location." I said looking around the square to see that it was completely void of people. "Of course I'm more like them than Sora."
I summoned a horde of dusks into the area, sending them out to look for a strong presence of Darkness. 'These guys are about as good at hunting down darkness as I am.'
"Roxitas, why are you wearing your hood, I mean you live here don't you?" Namine asked as the Dusks walked around the square.
"This requires my complete focus and I can afford to waste time talking to my friends." I said, not daring to look at Namine.
"It's never a waste to talk to your friends Roxitas, I thought being connected to Sora would have taught you that." She said, her hand resting on my tense shoulder. "Besides, I'd like to see them again."
I turned to look at her and saw that even though her face was smiling her eyes weren't. I recognized that look all too well since it was the only thing I'd seen for the past two years.
I was about to take off my hood when I sensed something coming at me from behind, I summoned two become one and swung behind me to see a dusk wrapping around my keyblade before it knocked me back into Namine.
"What in the world do you think you're doing?" I demanded, as I stood up and summoned Void Gear in my other hand. "I am the only remaining member of the organization, you obey me!"
"I'm sorry my lord, but there are others." The all said in unison before attacking me. I quickly flipped backwards, spinning through the Nobodys before landing besides Namine.
"Come on!" I yelled, grabbing Namine's arm pulling her towards the cliff. "We need to get out of here, and fast."
I jumped off the railing and took Namine in my arms before I landed on my back on a train car. Namine got off of me and stood up, followed quickly by me.
"What in the world was that?" Namine demanded as we flew across the train tracks and the scenery zipped by.
"If you're asking why the dusks attacked, I don't know." I said, turning around and beginning to head towards the front of the train. "But if you're talking about jumping on a train, well that's because I didn't want the dusks attacking citizens."
"Well what are they gonna do now that they can't follow us?" She asked as she followed me towards the front.
"Oh, they can follow us, a matter of fact they'll be here in a few seconds." I said flipping into the air and drawing my keyblades before slicing through a few dusks. "Yeah, I'd suggest getting ready for a fight."
"What?!" Namine yelled from behind, probably not understanding that the wind was blowing her words right into my ears.
"Never mind." I said, throwing my keyblades at the approaching dusks, but it hardly even slowed them down as they surged at Namine and me. I blocked and stood my ground, but when I looked back Namine was falling towards the ocean below us.
I quickly jumped after her, hacking violently through the dusks at first until I just started spinning and attacking in every direction. I finally got tired of the horde that I sent my keyblades out to attack everything around me creating a big enough gap for me to launch myself at Namine. When I finally reached her I wrapped my arms around her and put spun so my back would hit the water first.
I stood up with Namine in my arms and my hood around my shoulders to see something I would have never expected. Seipher, Fu, and Rai beating back the horde of dusks in their swimsuits.
"Are you going to help us or not Roxitas?" Seifer called out as he blasted fire from his gun blade and a blue chakram flew by his head and into Fu's hand.
"I'm on my way." I said, running through the water, carrying an unconscious Namine the whole time. Once I made it ashore I put her down and drew my keyblades, hacking through my former servants.
"So Roxitas, do you have any idea what these things are?" Fu asked as I joined her and the rest of the gang.
"They're called dusks, a low level type of nobody." I answered as Rai blocked an attack from hitting me with his bow staff. "Until a few minutes ago they obeyed me, but now it seems like someone else has taken control."
"You need to do a better job as leader then, ya know." Rai said as we all continued to hack at the near infinite forces of the dusks.
"I guess so, now duck!" I shouted before I through my keyblades out and created a massive dome around us using them. "We should be safe for a bit now."
"Wish I could do that." Seifer said before I collapsed to my knees. "Whoa man, are you okay, you don't look so hot."
"Haha, I never thought I'd hear you being concerned about me." I laughed, looking over at Namine. "Rai, do you think you could check Namine out for me?"
"Uh, sure man." He answered, walking past the rest of us and over to Namine. "She's breathing and doesn't look like she has any broken bones."
"Good work Rai." Seifer called to him before he looked back at me. "You can't keep that keyblade dome up forever, can you?"
"I'd be surprised if I could keep it up there for another minute." I said, barely able to hold myself up. "Those keyblades are moving faster than the speed of sound, it's not exactly easy to keep that going."
"Well you've gotten rid of most of them, why don't you stop." Fu said, getting ready for a fight again. "There's no point if the only person here that stands a chance against Seifer dies."
"You make a valid point." I said, bringing my keyblades back to me and standing back up. "Rai, take care of Namine, okay."
"Roxitas, why aren't they moving?" Seifer asked from behind me, and I looked around. He was right none of them were moving.
"Very observant of you keyblade wielder." An innocent girl's voice said in a way that definitely didn't fit it. "I guess we'll let you and your friends live." The source of the voice stepped out of a Dark Gateway; she had black hair pulled up into a spikey pony tail, yellow eyes, and a face that looked remarkably like Vens. She was wearing a sleeveless organization cloak with thigh high boots and tight fitting shorts. "Hello, my name is Ixion, the new leader of Organization thirteen."
"I'm sorry but that position is already filled." I said, tightening my grip around my keyblades. "And I don't plan on giving it up."
"Hahaha, you think you're the leader of the organization." Another girls voice said, walking out to the right of me. She had pixie cut black hair and was wearing a traditional organization cloak except for the opening at the front that had a symbol that looked strangely familiar in between it. "How adorable."
"Hey Ixion, why in the world would you tell them we're not going to kill them, you know that's my favorite part." Another girls voice said as she stepped out on my left. She was wearing a sleeveless organization cloak that barely went below her naval, a black pleated skirt, and knee high black boots. Her face was Aeriths other than the yellow eyes and black hair.
"I know Inioxi, but it'll be more fun in the long run if we keep them alive." Ixion said, liking her lips as she did. "Now which keyblade wielder should we use?" Rai attacked Ixion but she blocked using the Solitude Pain Keyblade back handed. "What do you Voni?"
"Usually I pick them by hair color, but all three of them are blonde so it's a little more difficult." The girl on the right said.
I felt Seifers presence leave me and when I looked back he was attacking Voni with a steel keyblade with a slightly crooked blade and a cross at the tip and the bottom while she was blocking with Lunar eclipse.
"Ooh, let's do that one." Inioxi said drawing Darker and darker and pointing it in the middle of Fu and I.
A dark blast sent us both flying and when I landed right behind Namine I saw a white dome right where I had been standing. Voni pushed him on to the dome and there was another explosion, and when the black smoked cleared there was another girl wearing a traditional organization cloak. She had long black hair that was tied up in the back and an intelligent face with yellow eyes drawing all of my attention.
"Quistis?" Seifer said right before the four girls vanished into the darkness. "No, that wasn't Quistis, Quistis had blonde hair, that couldn't have been her."
I watched silently as Fu walked over to Seifer and knelt down next to him, patting him slowly on the back, not saying anything at all.
?
We ran down the long white hall, slashing down the Heartless in our way before we reached the large white door. We through it open and saw an infinite white expanse with Oni sitting at a grand piano, and Ventus now wearing a cloaked version of his old shirt standing next to her with a smile on his face, but a frown in his eyes.
Oni began to pluck at the keys of the piano and then she started singing. "Forgotten days, a fading memory. Lost and no longer seeking one another. Desperately still, you're reaching toward him. Hopelessly certain, you can mend the broken. Longing for a light lost in time, so distant. Pleading with fate, to be forgiving. Allow the shattered Hearts to be regathered. Fighting for love, to have a meaning. Without a promise, to embrace the Darkness. Hoping for a Dream lost in Light, so distant. Reasons ignored, no longer caring. How long it may take, just to mend the heart break. Lost and unsure the boy is fading a distant fragment of nobody important. Wishing for a day lost in memories distant." She stops, her hands moving away from the piano, and she looks up with a big smile on her face. "It's good to see you again.
AN: sorry I got a little lazy at the end there, but I had to do a lot of research on Seifer so I could make the replica that imprented on him. This chapter is technically taking place after the next one and that's why Inioxi is there. Please review and I'll get the next chapter out soon.
