Two years after the events of Kingdom Hearts 3 which hasn't come out yet so will effect the story, the keyblade Masters are trying to predict when the next Darkness will come and how strong it will be. The method they use to do so had dangerous side effects and results in the worlds of this universe being changed forever.

34. The Truth of Pain

I kneeled down, looking at the remaining crystals from Tidus killing the Replica. "Are you insane?" Terra demanded to know from behind me.

"Excuse me?" I asked, spinning to my feet so that I was facing him.

"You could have easily killed that thing!" He shouted, getting close enough that he was staring directly down at me.

"Actually, I couldn't," I said, not even trying to hide the condescendence in my tone. "And if I could, she's apparently immune to choking."

"Why don't we see if you are too?" he said, reaching out to me before Ven and Namine grabbed his arm.

"He's telling the truth Terra!" Namine said, looking up at him, a pang of sadness in her eyes. "Only the Keyblade wielder the Replica stole from can kill them."

"A Replica?" Aqua asked, looking at, walking up to the almost fight. "What exactly is a Replica, is it like a special Nobody?"

"It's something Vexen was working on at Castle Oblivion," Lea answered, sitting on the ground near the Pegasus statue. "They were made to 'Replicate' the abilities of Keyblade wielders, specifically Roxas."

"Well why didn't they use them?" Kairi asked, looking at Lea, confusion clearly showing on her face.

"They did," Riku answered, looking at me now, the same pain that I had felt after Vonix had died, at least that's the name that appeared in my mind as she shattered.

"What happened to it?" Ven asked, Riku, Lea, Namine, and I snapping to look at her.

"She was killed by the one she replicated," I answered, walking toward the other side of the garden. "Now enough of talking about history, let's get rid of these assholes!"

I pushed the large white door open, revealing the main entrance of the old organization castle.

"Just one left, right?" Mickey asked as everyone else followed me into the platform.

Ixion

I punched the wall around the tower, vines spreading from the cracks I had caused as I walked away, glaring up at the sun which had reach it's peek. "It looks like it's up to me to bring her back," i said, looking out over the two desserts that were appearing near the back of the castle. "Don't worry Xion, no one will forget the Replica's after this, I promise."
