Bryson took his shaky and presumably final breaths, tensing up due to the pressure of the larger man hovering over him.

But then, Rabadan started screaming in pain. His free hand scrambled to his back. He fell on his knees and Bryson could see a spear in his back. The same spear some of his guards had. Bryson looked on in confusion. He craned his head up and looked on.

And there was Dorothy.

Bryson's eyes lit up and he grinned at the sight of her.

She rushed up to him and fell on her knees next to him. "Bryson!"

"Dorothy!" He exclaimed.

"Oh.. are you alright?" She asked, her big brown eyes studying his body to see if he was seriously injured.

"I've been better, but I could be worse." He said with a smirk. "Did you.. did you throw that?"

She nodded.

"Where'd you find that?" he asked.

"Found it on the floor. I thought I should put it to good use." She said with a smirk.

They both looked over and saw Rabadan writhing against the floor, screaming in pain.

"That's gonna seriously injure him.." Bryson said.

Dorothy nodded in agreement.

"What'd he do to you, anyway? And how'd you escape?" Bryson asked.

"Well, he had me and Finley chained up in this room. But then Glinda came out of nowhere and released us and told us where you did, so I went after you and looked for you." She told him.

"Where are the others?" he asked.

"They're releasing all of the people chained up. They're all okay. But I wanted to make sure you were okay." She told him.

Bryson smiled. He looked over again. Rabadan's scepeter was still in his hand, but he didn't have a grip on it. Bryson rushed over and yanked it out of his hand. His heart raced as he took it. It was lighter than he expected.

"So.. here it is. We finally have it." Bryson declared.

"Yeah.." Dorothy breathed out, grinning.

"I don't know how to work this thing." He told her, fingering the scepeter.

"I guess we should give it to Glinda."

Bryson nodded in agreement and looked down at Rabadan. The spear was still penetrated into his back. "What about him?"

"Suppose we should just leave him and deal with him later."

Bryson agreed, knowing they couldn't carry him anywhere.

"Let's go." Bryson said. Rabadan screamed in anger and pain.

"IT'S.. IT'S NOT OVER!" He declared.

Bryson and Dorothy gave no reply and rushed out of the door.

They opened the door. Glinda had been waiting for them outside.

Bryson handed Glinda the scepeter.

"You retreaved it!" She exclaimed, her voice raspy and out of breath.

Bryson pitied her, she had been through a lot the past few days.

Glinda took the scepeter. Bryson looked around and realized it was now morning. He smiled.

Suddenly, something hopped onto Bryson's shoulder and he turned around.

It was Finley!

"Finley!" Bryson exclaimed. Finley smiled as he looked over and saw the scepeter in Glinda's hands.

"You guys got it!" Finley said happily.

Just as Bryson was about to reply, a giant boulder came rolling down the mountain.

They all gasped and leaped out of the way, tumbling down the mountain as they dodged the large boulder. Bryson dropped his axe in the process.

They hurdeled down and finally stopped. Finley leaped onto Bryson's back, hiding behind him.

They all looked up and saw Rabadan, the spear was now out of his back. He seemed to be holding a string. It looked as if he had set a trap of them.

"Did you REALLY think it was over? I'm one step ahead!"

He pulled the string and another boulder was sent flying down.

They gasped and dodged it, being sent tumbling in different directions, panting as they looked up.

"You know... I've decided I'm just gonna blow this place to bits as SOON AS I GET MY HANDS ON THAT SCEPETER!" He screamed and pulled the string again.

Bryson barley dodged the next boulder.

"Glinda... use it!" Dorothy cried out.

Glinda slowly lifted the scepeter up. She had a look of hesitance. She shed a few tears.

"Glinda! Now!" Bryson yelled.

Glinda sighed and slowly stood up, facing Rabadan.

"Rabadan... you... you used to be so innocent.. and... and now... you're... you're a monster. I never would have imagined it. And now... I'm sorry... but I have to do this!" She yelled.

"NO! YOU BITCH!" Rabadan yelled, falling to his knees. And suddenly, he started sobbing.

They all looked on in confusion.

Glinda began to walk up the mountain towards him, and the rest of them followed suit.

She was now mere inches away from the sobbing man. "I JUST WANTED TO STAY! BUT YOU COULDN'T LET ME DO THAT, COULD YOU?!" Rabadan yelled.

"No... I had to. You can't blame me for what happend to you in war." She told him.

They all were so amazed. The once terryifying and calculated Rabadan had been reduced to a sobbing mess.

He screamed in anguish and continued to sob.

Glinda closed her eyes and slowly lifted up the scepeter, but Rabadan punched the bottom of it hard, sending it flying upwards. He then kicked Glinda hard in the stomach, causing her to groan and fall back down the mountain.

All of their eyes widened. Bryson instantly rushed up the mountain for the scepeter, Finley on his back, and Dorothy went to help Glinda.

The scepeter started rolling back down the mountain towards Bryson and he quickly picked it up.

He looked over. Rabadan ran towards Dorothy and Glinda. He shoved Dorothy hard, causing her to fall over. He got on top of Rabadan and then, he started to strangle her.

Bryson gasped and he angrily rushed down the mountain. There was fire in his eyes, he was outraged that his friends were being hurt in such a manner. He screamed in anger and rushed towards Rabadan, and suddenly, a blue burst emited from the scepeter, flying through the air.

Bryson stopped and gasped. He actually worked the scepeter. He shook his head and closed his eyes. He thought about it, and another blue burst emited from it.

It was controlled by the mind.

Bryson then ran towards Rabadan and hit him hard in the head with the scepeter, causing Rabadan to fall over and off of Glinda.

Bryson started shooting out blue bursts from the scepeter, they landed next to Rabadan's feet and Rabadan started scuffing his feet away.

Bryson started shooting out more blue burts angrily. Now he was the one with the toy. He was the one in control.

He yelped and continued to keep shooting out the bursts, until Rabadan got on his feet and started running away. Bryson shot out more blue bursts towards Rabadan's feet until Rabadan eventually tumbled over and fell again.

Rabadan looked up at Bryson, panting.

And they stayed like that for a while. Just looking at each other.

"Go ahead... kill me. See what it's like. Maybe then you'll see my side." Rabadan panted out.

Bryson shook his head. "No."

He wouldn't do it. He would not just kill him like this.

Rabadan slowly nodded at Bryson.

"Okay."

And then, Rabadan leaped to Bryson, but Bryson quickly hit Rabadan hard in the face, causing him to fall back down.

Bryson hovered over him. The roles had been reversed.

Suddenly, several guards popped out of nowhere.

Bryson almost ran, then realized they were Emerald City guards, and the Scarecrow was with them.

They quickly lifted up Rabadan and then began to chain him up, Bryson moving out of the way.

"It's over, Rabadan. You're not gonna be so high and mighty in the Emerald City dungeon." Scarecrow declared.

Rabadan looked at them and groaned, tears still flowing as he was carried away by the guards.

It was over.

Bryson looked around and then tumbled over, laying on the mountain.

Rabadan had been defeated.

They did it.

They won.

Bryson couldn't believe it.
