KathDMD - There is a lot that will remain unresolved going into the next season, but this finale will not disappoint! Haggar has her hands full, if you've already read the Voltron Legacy Finale, which is happening concurrently to this. There was one thing I wasn't able to work in...but it will have to wait for the Season 2 premier!

animebookchic - Malva is going to play an important part in the Season transition. It's oddly going to connect with what's going on in the Gladiator Voltron universe...

Episode 126 : "Connections – Part IV"
Black lion landed near the crash site. Daniel pulled Larmina out of her harness and carried her out of the cockpit. Blue began to stir and get back to her feet. Daniel activated his voltcom and dashed out of the lion before it could continue its rampage. It toned to go after them, but then it was tackled by something. Daniel stopped and turned around in time to see the White Lion pinning Blue down, seeing it struggling intently.
"Sven!" Daniel shouted. Sven fought hard with the controls, the pain in his own head intensifying this close to the source of his calamity.
"Get young Larmina back to the castle," he said. "I'm going to try and tame this lion."
"Right," Daniel nodded. He picked Larmina back up and sped back to Black Lion. He took off with her inside, headed for the castle. Sven concentrated on the lion, but Blue soon overpowered him, and the White Lion was flung off. White got back on its feet and poised to attack. Blue stood to challenge.
"I know what's going on inside, old friend," he said. "Soon we will fight together!" The lions ran at one another and collided, swinging at one another, trying to knock the other down and topple it to the ground. "You have done well. Now I have to save our old friend." He got up from the seat and left the lion. As White swung, he leaped for Blue. He managed to fall within the jaws and climb into the cockpit.
No! Get away! She is not yours to command!
Sven strapped into the seat, and tried to grab the controls, but was badly jolted by a surge of power. He closed his eyes, placing his hands together and focusing.
"I know you are here, old witch," he muttered. "You have plagued me and my family for the last time!"
Leave now, and I spare your princess, and maybe even your precious 'elskede'. Stay, and I will command the Blue Lion to annihilate Arus with the full might of Voltron!
"You will never fool me again, Haggar!" he shouted. His focus was complete, the training he had put himself through all those years every bit as much a match for her magic. He grabbed the controls, eyes still closed tightly, and took off into the sky, the lion letting off a mighty roar….of approval.
"Lead it over there!" Vince said. The robeast followed them into the volcano. Red and Green carefully avoided falling debris from the attack above.
"If we don't hurry, the whole mountain will collapse into the volcano," Marina said. "And without its den, Red won't have a proper place to recharge." They turned as they reached the main cavern.
"Alright," Vince said, "Scoop up some of that lava. See if you can get it around his feet." Red dove quickly at the magma flow and scooped up some lava in its mouth. It turned and flew at the robeast.
"How about a little hot foot!" she shouted and Red blasted the magma at the robeast's feet.
"Now let's see if I can cool things down a bit," Vince said. A whirlwind flew from Green's mouth, blasting the magma and cooling it to the point it hardened around its feet, holding it in place.
"It worked!" Marina shouted. "Now to stop those attack ships." Red looked up at the ships and saw laser fire. "Huh?"
"Down but not out," Hunk said. "You didn't think I was gonna let these guys ruin our lil' sis' lair, did ya?"
"Hunk!" Marina shouted. Behind him, Blue Lion came up and latched on to one of the bigger ships, tearing it apart with its jaws. "Larmina?"
"Not quite," Sven said, trying to maintain concentration, Haggar bombarding him with negative energy.
"Your Excellency!" the General shouted over the com. "The Blue Lion is destroying our ships!" Haggar appeared on the screen deep in thought.
"Destroy….the lair….at all costs!" she screeched before the transmission abruptly ended.
"Haggar's ships are going to destroy the lair if we don't do something!" Sven shouted.
"The command ship is on a collision course!" Vince shouted. "We have to stop it!" Blue flew at it, its Ion Knife forming in its jaws. It cut through the hull, trying to damage the engines enough to force it to veer off course.
"Hang on guys!" Daniel shouted and Black flew into range. "Get into formation!" The lions took off, Blue scurrying into place. "Let's Voltron!" He connected his voltcom to the console, and energy flowed between the two. The lione transformed in mere seconds, locking on, Voltron's head forming, eyes glowing, and powered up for battle.
"The ship!" Marina shouted. Voltron flew at the ship and literally caught it, holding it back moments from impact.
"Oh….no….you…..don't!" Daniel shouted, straining against the controls. Voltron redirected the ship, literally throwing it at the robeast, exploding on impact. "Form Blazing Sword!" Red and Green clanked together and pulled apart, the energy forming the blade, and Green let out a mightly roar as Voltron brandished the sword.
"I don't….know….how much longer….I can hold it…" Sven shouted.
"I got ya," Vince said, connecting his voltcom. He closed his eyes for a moment to focus, then opened them, whiting out with power.
"Go!" Daniel shouted, jamming the controls forward hard. Voltron dove down towards the robeast, or what was left of it, trying to get up, then swung, slicing several times through it, then skidding to a stop on the other side on its feet. The parts of the robeast fell and exploded.
"That's the end of the robeast," Hunk said.
"And it looks like the fleet is finally retreating," Marina said. Vince collapsed from exhaustion.
"We need to get the Blue Lion back to the castle," Sven said. "Until we can figure out how to rid it of the corruption, none of us will be safe." Voltron took off from the lair, heading for the castle.
The team stood together in the repair bay with Keith, Kerza, and the holographic Pidge. They looked over the Lions as Keith let out a sigh.
"Is there anything we can do?" he asked. "What about the antidote you placed in the castle's water supply?"
"We're not sure that would work on this scale," Pidge replied. "Blue received a dose higher than the concentration diffused in the water. It's almost as if Haggar had deliberately targeted Blue."
"Because she did," Keith said, his brow furrowing in anger. "That was her plan all along."
"What about a stronger dosage of the antidote?" Vince asked. "With a stronger concentration…."
"It could possibly fry the systems," Pidge replied. "The technology of the Lions is still not fully understood. We have to proceed with caution."
"The problem is," Sven said, "if we don't cure the Blue Lion soon, Allura, Larmina, and myself could meet our end."
The members of the Drule High Council looked at one another in confusion. The meeting had been called without much advanced notice, the seats of the Second, Fourth, and Seventh kingdoms notably absent, with Korronith's seat taken up by the Witch Haggar. Seemingly lost in thought, as if her attention were divided, she sat quietly, yet eerily.
"Does anyone know what this is about?" King Dharlok of the Tenth kingdom asked.
"I see no sign of Skath or Merla," King Bhorn remarked. "I'm not liking this one bit."
"What you like or don't like does not concern me," Kanji said as he walked into the room. The remaining council members sat down. Kanji turned and stared directly at Bhorn, who was trying to avoid eye contact.
"Lord Kanji," Queen Larinska asked, "you called us here on short notice. While we are honored by your presence, we wish to know the reason for the urgency."
"My reason is simple," he replied, still fixated on Bhorn. "I have sat back and watched the Voltron Force stretch themselves thin across the galaxy. I have also watched the Galaxy Alliance defeat us at every juncture."
"Lord Kanji," Larinska spoke again, "many of the kingdoms have chosen to stay out of Korronith's war with the Galaxy Alliance."
"And it is that unwilling spirit that condemns the entire empire to death!" kanji shouted, slamming his hand on the table, Bhorn's chalice spilling on the table in front of him. The blood red liquid rolled down the table and trickled over the side. "I told you one way or another, the Kingdoms of the Supremacy would unify. And that is exactly what I will do."
"And if we refuse?" Lord Vyrketh of the Eighth Kingdom asked. Kanji walked up to him and pulled his sword. He stabbed it through the table in front of him, the blade exiting the table between his legs, inches from his manhood.
"You have no choice," Kanji replied, gritting his teeth. "Blood has already been spilled in this war." He pulled the sword out and resheathed it. "Our bretheren across the galaxies….throughout the universe….have shed their blood and given their lives for us! Now it is time we joined together in unity to take what is rightfully ours and crush our enemies for the glory of the Drule Empire!" Haggar stood up. She stepped back and he raised his hands. "Every Drule in every corner of the universe will hear my call….and they shall call me…..MASTER!" He dropped his arms, and an uncontrollable wave blasted over them, their minds being cleared of all thought….except that of unquestioned fealty to Lord Kanji.
"Let her go, Haggar," Alfor commanded. "It's over."
It's never over! The dark forces shall never succumb to the light! The Old Ones will rise again, and the ghosts of yesterday shall be struck down by their sworn enemies!
"Your attention is divided!" Alfor insisted. "Begone! Leave this child to her fate!"
"My fate….is sealed…." Malva eeked out, Haggar's voice undertoning her own. All at once, she collapsed to the floor. Alfor looked up, his eyes dilating. His spirit vanished in the blink of an eye as a wave washed over all of Arus…and time itself came to a halt.
