Chapter 51

An hour and a half later, four orgasms down and a lot of stolen glances and shy smiles while getting dressed, the newlyweds were finally ready to explore the new city for a little while anyway. Picking up a map of Paris on their way out of the hotel. They found themselves on the street to do a little exploring and to have a nice dinner.

Looking at the map, they tried to decide what places they wanted to visit first. "What about Arch Del Triomphe?"

"I don't have that much stamina to walk that far right now. My body's weak as a whittle kitty. I need food Calliope." Arizona played, snuggling into her wife's arms. "You're not being a great wife right now, we've only ate once since we've been married and that's been almost two days ago. You need to feed your wife."

Scoffing, she slipped her arm out of her wife's hands, she wrapped it around the blondes body and pulled her closer. "If I can recall correctly, we both ate many many times in the last twenty four hours." Callie purred, kissing the top of Arizona's head.

"Calliope." She laughed, playfully punching her side. "I'm talking about food, you perv."

"Oh, my bad." Callie laughed.

"And if I recall correctly I didn't eat anything the last time.. I drank." She snickered.

"Arizona." Callie said, smacking her ass.

"I did." She yelped. "And just FYI, the last twenty four hours are the exact reason you're not a great wife.. You are an awesome wife." She winked, hugging her.

"We're pitiful aren't we. We've spent our first day in Paris in bed." The brunette said, folding the map up while Arizona's arms were wrapped around her waist.

"Not pitiful at all. We're just so in love." She said, kissing her wife on her cheek.

Stuffing the map in her jacket pocket, Callie turned her body towards her wife, wrapped her arms around Arizona and dipped her. "That we are baby." She said, holding Arizona in her arms and lightly pecking her pink lips. "I love you."

"Calliope.. You're so romantic." The blonde giggled because her wife took her by surprise as the people passed by them on the streets, not paying any attention to the two love birds. "I love you too."

"I got to keep my woman happy." She winked, standing her wife back up.

"You don't have to try. As long as you are right here standing by my side, my life is complete."

"Same here love, come on. Lets get your strength built back up, cause I have a feeling you're going to need it very soon." Callie said taking her wife's hand.

"Ooo.." She laughed, lacing her hand in her wife's. "I have a feeling we are going to have another marathon night." She said walking down the street with Callie.

"If I have my way, it will be. We have a month to make up for." She said, looking for a place to grab a quick bite before going back to their hotel to have more fun.

"Are we ever going to explore the city?" Arizona asked.

"We have five more days.. I think we can fit maybe half a day or a day of exploring in our jam pack schedule." The Latina replied.

"That's quiet alright with me."

"Lets find a little café and grab a bite to eat. I want to talk to you about something." Callie said as they walked amongst the locals.

"Okay.." Arizona said, hesitantly. "I.. Uh. I want to talk to you about something too." She said, nervously. Now that they were married, she can't get this thought out of her head and she really wanted to talk to Callie about it to see how she felt.

"What about?" The brunette asked.

Shrugging, "Just stuff." She said, "Lets find a place to eat and order then we'll talk. Kay?" She asked.

"You got it babe." She said, pulling her wife's arm to get her to wrap it around her waist. "Love you." She leaned in and whispered as they came up to a café.

"Love you too baby." She said, slipping her fingers in Callie waistband of her jeans and rested them there.

"How about here?" Callie added, seeing there was outdoor seating. "We can talk and enjoy the scenery around us?"

"Sounds good honey. You get us a menu and order my drink, I have to use the restroom." She said, sitting her purse down at the table with her wife. Leaning down, she kissed the brunette before she turned to find the bathroom.

"What do you want to drink sweetie?" Callie said before she got outta ear shot.

"I'll have what you're having." She winked, walking into the establishment to find the restroom. Seeing a line down a little hallway in the back Arizona stood by, leaning her back on the wall waiting for her turn while watching a few men come and go as she waited her turn. That was one thing that sucked about being a woman, eight times out of ten there was always a line at the ladies room while the men's tended to stay empty. Hearing footsteps coming down the small hallway, she turned towards the noise seeing a middle aged man walking her way. Giving him a polite smile when their eyes met, she turned her head back around looking at the pictures on the wall. Feeling the man brush his arm against her breasts, Arizona quickly stepped to the side to get further away.

"Oh, excuse me miss." He winked and then smiled at her turning around and patting her arm, brushing up against her again.

Giving the man with alcohol on his breath an awkward smile and a nod, she watched him walk into the men's restroom. Her mind racing with different scenarios of people she had seen on the news vanishing in these foreign countries, because this is how they usually started out. Some random stranger approaching some random girl, suckering her in and then getting her drunk and poof she's gone. She was really wishing now that she had made Callie come with her.

"Excuse me, little lady." The same man said after coming out of the restroom, bringing the blonde out of her thoughts. All she wanted to do is get back to her wife, because this man made her feel all kinds of uncomfortable. Maybe it was just because she was in a different country where she didn't know anyone but maybe she would feel the same way back home, she didn't know. Only thing she did know is that she wanted to be in the safety of her wife. Deciding the bathroom can wait, she turned around to make her way back out to Callie. "Wait a second beautiful." The man said causing Arizona to turn around. "You here all by your lonesome? Let me buy you a drink." He winked at her, walking up face to face.

"No thank you." She nodded and turned around to leave again.

"Awe come on." He said grabbing her elbow a little roughly, pulling her closer to him. "Let me buy you an 'I'm sorry for brushing up against your... chest' drink." He smirked. "I know you want too." He said, whispering in her ear. "Or we could get out of here?" He asks, as Arizona was looking around to see if anyone was watching. Seeing some ladies that were ahead of her advert their eyes when she saw them.

"I said, no thank you." She growled. "I'm here with someone." She said, jerking her arm out of the mans hold and quickly walking back to her wife.

"I'll change your mind before the evenings out." He yelled to her before walking back to his seat at the bar.

Walking back out, Arizona scooted her seat closer to her wife and sat down. "Hey." Callie smiled. "I was wondering if I was going to have to come find you." She said, leaning in and pecking pink lips. "You okay?" She asked, seeing Arizona looking a little uneasy.

"Yeah I'm okay. The line was long, then there was some drunk asshole who came and brushed up against my boobs, purposely might I add, twice then he tried to buy me a drink. After I told him no he grabbed me by the arm and said he wanted to get out of here. He made me feel so uncomfortable, Calliope." She said, leaning her head on her wife's shoulder.

Hearing Arizona tell her this, pissed Callie off. What type of jerk would come on to a woman so strong when she was simply trying to use the restroom. "Where is he?" She said, turning around and looking through the window. "Did anyone see him?"

"Yeah, some older women that was waiting in line ahead of me. Please don't, Callie." Arizona shook her head. "Forget about that creep. Let's just have dinner and get out of here. Please?"

"Are you sure you're okay baby?"

"Yeah. I'm okay now." She said, wrapping her arm around her wife's. "I'm okay." She gave Callie a half smile.

"I don't believe you, but I'll let it go for now." She said, kissing her temple. Changing the subject to ease her wife, "You have to try this wine. It's amazing." She said, bringing the glass up to Arizona's mouth and giving her a drink.

"Callie." She laughed. "People are already giving us the 'get a room' look and now you're.. I don't know how do you say it.. Feeding me my drink." She giggled before taking a drink. "Mmm.. That's really good."

"They can get over it, this is the city of love. So if I want to show my wife some love, I'm going too."

"God, I love you." She said leaning in and kissing red lips. "That's one of the thousands of reasons why. It doesn't matter who or how many people are around. You never hide your love for me. And I love that about you."

"Just thousands?"

"Well." She sighed. "If you're gonna make me say.. it's millions. But don't get the big head." She laughed.

"I try, cause as good as you make me feel, I want to make you feel better. I just want to make you feel wanted, Arizona."

"You do, baby. So wanted. My only hope is that I make you feel as wanted as you make me."

"Every single day, love." She said leaning over to kiss pink lips again, just as the waitress came to take their order.

"It sure is beautiful here." Arizona said, leaning back in her chair, looking around, soaking up the scenery after placing their order.

"It is." Callie agreed, crossing her legs and watching the people bustle up and down the streets. "But not as beautiful as my wife." She said, reaching out for the blondes hand.

Blushing, Arizona smiled at her wife. It was the little things like that, that Callie would say that make her feel so cherished.

"I wish we had something like this back home in Seattle."

"Me too." Arizona said, squeezing her wife's hand, just enjoying each other's company in silence for a while.

"Earlier." Arizona said, taking a bite of her dinner several minutes later. "You said you wanted to talk about something. What was it?" She asked.

"Oh. I uh.. I want to talk about your journal." Callie said, wiping her mouth.

"Oh? What about?"

"I read your first entry this morning before I woke you up." She said, sipping her wine.

"Oh, the day we met." She smiled. "That was a.. Good day, but the next day was better." She winked, taking the last bite of her food. "I've ate too much." She said, rubbing her stomach.

"Yeah. It took me back." She smiled.

"What did you want to talk about?" The blonde asked.

"Well.. I.." She sighed. "With you laying beside me asleep, it kinda felt like I was invading your privacy. I know you were hesitant on me reading it, and I guess it just felt like I was sneaking behind your back reading it." Callie said, pushing her plate away from her and leaning back in the chair.

Nodding her understanding. "That's probably my fault." Arizona said. "I was.. hmm.. how do I say it.. scared?" She shrugged. "I guess I was afraid of being judged. I know you wouldn't ever, but having someone read your writing is a little nerve racking. Kinda like your in English or speech class all over again and you have to do a presentation in front of the whole class." She laughed.

"Yeah." Callie have a soft smile.

"Calliope."

"Yeah?"

"Babe, I have no reservations what so ever of you reading it, it's yours now. If you want to read it you can and if you don't, I'm okay with that as well."

"Okay." She replied.

"If you want.. I wouldn't mind reading some with you, we could reminisce about the good ole days." She laughed. "That is only if you want too of course." She shrugged.

"Yeah.. maybe." The brunette nodded, hearing exactly what she needed to hear. "What do you say we get out of here. I heard a couple talking while you were gone to the restroom, about a bridge right down the street I'd like to take you to."

"Yeah, that soun..." Arizona said, but stopped talking when the waitress came up to their table with a drink for the blonde.

"This is for you." The waitress said, sitting the cocktail down on the table in front of the blonde. "It's from the gentleman at the bar." She pointed as Arizona turned around and saw the man from earlier wave at her.

"Send it back." Arizona said, scooting the drink back towards the waitress. "I won't accept anything from someone who tries to assert himself on me in your establishment." She said to the waitress.

"Arizona." Callie said, her wife getting a little hateful with the waitress when she was only doing her job.

Reaching in her pocket, the blonde pulled out some money and threw it down on the table. "Lets get outta here before he comes over." Arizona said, standing up and putting on her jacket.

Looking back towards the bar inside, Callie wasn't sure which man it was whom was obviously hitting on her wife, but she wasn't liking it at all because she could tell Arizona was feeling uneasy. "Thank you." The brunette told the young lady before talking to her wife. "Come on, baby." Callie said, taking Arizona's hand and leading them away from the restaurant and towards their next destination. "You okay?"

"I am, I just want to forget about it now. Kay?" She asked seeing her wife nod. "So where is this bridge?" The blonde asked, walking hand in hand down the street further away from their hotel.

"That man said it was about a five minute walk from here. Said I couldn't miss it."

"Hey.. Umm.. I've been thinking." Arizona said, as they window browsed on their way to their destination.

"Bout?" Callie asked, looking into a jewelry store window.

"Karev." She said, looking at her wife. "It's been almost a year now since we let him move into your apartment. Don't get me wrong. I love Karev, he has became an amazing friend. And I will forever be indebted to him for saving you and myself."

"And?"

"We gave him a job, got him on his feet, he makes good money now... but we're still paying for the apartment. I think it's about time we hand over the reigns to him. He can either pay us, or we can sign over the mortgage to him and let him handle it." She said. "Before you even say it." She said holding her hand up, stopping her wife from beginning. "I know he's your boy and your best friends boyfriend. But Callie, we can't keep paying for the apartment that he lives in forever. We're not hurting for money or anything, but Alex isn't either now."

Nodding. "You had said earlier that you wanted to talk about something too, was that it?" Callie asked.

"Oh.. Umm.. Yeah." She lied, not quiet ready to talk about it at the moment like she thought she was.

Taking a deep breath, "You know, money isn't really a big deal right?" Callie asked, not really ready to make Alex start paying for the apartment just yet. She felt like her wife, she would always be indebted to Alex for the rest of her life. And money wasn't a problem for her.. for them. They would never hurt for money, so she didn't see what the big deal was if they made him start now or in six months from now.

"I know that." She sighed

"So what's the big deal?" Callie asked.

"I'm not making it a big deal, I'm just suggesting. From the beginning we told him we'd help him out until he got on his feet..."

"We did." Callie agreed. "But do you think he's ready for that? I mean with the holidays and stuff coming up before too long, don't you think we should give him a little heads up before we're like 'Hey Karev, fork over $1,800 bucks for rent this month?'"

"Do I really sound like that?" Arizona laughed.

"No." She chuckled. "But James does a pretty good impression of you." She winked. "I agree with you. I think it's about time for Karev to step up, but I was thinking maybe after the new year?"

"Okay." Arizona agreed. "NOT IT." She said, hip checking her wife.

"What?" She squinted at her wife, not knowing what she meant.

"I'm not it."

"Not it what?" She laughed.

"I'm not the one that has to tell Karev it's time to start paying rent."

"This was your whole idea." Callie rebuttaled.

"Yeah, so?" She smiled.

"Well if I'm telling him that he's got to start paying, I'm giving him a raise also."

"And why is that?" Arizona asked, her hands on her hips.

"Because he's been with us a while. And he worked so well. Anytime we need him day or night, he's there no questions asked. And I think he deserves it." Callie said, seeing their destination coming into view.

"I'm okay with that." Arizona agreed. "He's probably the best employee we have, but don't tell Teddy that." She laughed. "She'll probably kick my ass if she knew I said that."

"She would. And I think she's the best we have though. But don't tell her I said that." Callie laughed with her wife. "We have it pretty good you know it? I don't think we could ask for a better group of employees. I mean, we all have our differences sometimes, even you and I have had them about work. Who doesn't? It's because we're all passionate about what we do. And after we all air our grievances everything seems to go back to normal."

"Yeah, we do. I think we should do something special for them. I mean Teddy, Jackson, April and Karev have been working so hard for us this past year. With everything that has happened in our lives, from the attack, the trial and our wedding. They've really have stepped up for us during bad times and good. They've been there without fail whether they're covering for us at work or showing us support for what we are going through. We don't ever have to worry when we have to be off, we know everything's taken care of when we're gone." Arizona said.

"Yeah. We'll do something nice for them after we get back and settled into our married life." Callie smiled, walking on to the bridge with her wife.

"Wow, what's up with all those locks?" The blonde asked, passing a vendor selling homemade bracelets on the bridge.

"Oh.. This is the Love lock bridge." An older man selling pieces of homemade jewelry, said overhearing their conversation.

"What's that?" She asked as Callie wrapped her arm around her waist and rested her fingers on her hip, just inside of her jeans.

"A love lock is a padlock which lovers lock to a bridge or similar public fixture to symbolize their love. Typically the couples names or initials are inscribed on the padlock, and its key is thrown into the Seine River as a symbol of their undying and unbreakable love." He told the couple.

"Awe. I want a love lock." She looked up to her wife with pleading eyes.

"You don't really want to do that do you?" Callie asked her as the man showed her a bunch of locks he had on the table for sale. "No thank you." She told the man and lead them down the bridge a little further.

"Callie... Why not?" She asked. "And why else would you want to come here if you didn't want to do it?" She huffed, pressing her front up against the railing of the bridge and looking down into the water.

"The view." Callie said as she stood behind her wife and placed her hands on top of hers on the railing. "It's incredible. And look, you can see the Eiffel Tower from here." She pointed.

"Mhmm." Arizona grumbled, feeling her wife press her front to her back.

"Don't you think it's pretty?" Callie questioned, burying her face in the side of Arizona's neck.

"Mmhmm."

"Mmhmm.." Callie said, knowing her lover wanted to do the locks. "What kinda answer is that. Usually I will at least get.. 'It's so beautiful, Calliope.' But right now all I get is mmhmm from my beautiful, amazing, perky wife that I love oh so so much?"

"It's beautiful, Calliope." She said, turning to give her wife a smile before focusing back on the river in front of them.

"Arizona." Callie smiled, kissing the blondes neck. "Look at me." She said, turning her wife around. "Are you mad?" She asked, seeing the annoyed look her wife had on her face.

"No."

"I love you."

"I love you too." Arizona answered, giving her wife a kiss when the brunette leaned in for one.

"Do you know how beautiful you are?" The brunette asked her. "Especially when your slightly peeved at me?" She smiled. "Arizona.. Do you really think.." she said, pulling a heart lock out of her leather jacket and showing her wife. "..I didn't want to do the love bridge with you?"

"When did you?" She asked, taking the heart lock from her wife.

"While you were gone to the bathroom. Like I said, I heard this couple beside me talking about it. I asked them where it was and they also told me where I could get a lock. So I ran across the street and bought us one before you got back."

"Callie..." Arizona said looking up at her wife. "You're so mean to me sometimes." She laughed, wrapping her arms around her wife.

"You're too easy. I can't believe you thought I didn't want to do this." She said hugging her wife in return.

"You did a pretty good job at convincing me."

"You're crazy. I'd never pass up a chance of showing the people of Paris my undying love for you." Callie said, kissing the blonde tenderly.

"We need something to write on it with."

"I've thought of it all." Callie said pulling out a permanent marker.

"How did you get to be so awesome?"

"I have someone that makes me want to be so awesome for her." Callie said, cupping Arizona's face and laying several light pecks on pink lips. "I love you."

"I love you too, baby. To the moon and back." She said kissing her wife.

"Here, you write it." Callie said, handing the marker over to the blonde.

"Calliope and Arizona Robbins." The blonde said, as she wrote their names down on the lock while Callie watched.

"Wait." The brunette said, taking the lock and marker from her wife. Turning it over, "Always & Forever." she said as she wrote it and the date they got married down on the back of the lock and kissing it to seal the deal. Holding it up to her wife, Arizona kissed the lock as well. "Where do you want to put it?" She asked.

"Hmm.. What about right here?" She asked, pointing at a bare spot on the bridge.

"It's perfect." Callie said, kneeling down and putting the lock through the fence. "Get down here." She said looking up at her wife. "We have to lock it together."

Kneeling down beside her wife, Arizona wrapped her left arm around her wife's knee to steady herself. "You sure you want to lock our love forever?" She asked.

"Ahh.. I guess." She shrugged. "Nothing better to do." She smiled.

"Hey." Arizona said, elbowing her wife.

"Of course, I'm sure babe. More than ever." She said, placing her hand back on the lock as Arizona did the same.

"On three?" The blonde smiled when her wife nodded. "One.. Two.. Three.." She said, both closing the lock shut together as they kissed.

"Now we toss the keys." Callie said, standing up and pulling the keys out from her pocket and planting a kiss on them before handing them to her wife to throw.

Kissing the keys just like Callie, Arizona threw them over the bridge as they watched the shiny metal sink down into the dark water.

"Arizona?" Callie said, causing her wife to turn around in her arms after they took in the site of the beautiful city around them for a few minutes.

"Yes, love?" She said, looking at her wife.

"Will you promise me something?"

"What is it, Callie?"

"It's just that.. You know the divorce rate is so high now days." She said, watching her wife nod her head in confusion. "And I think couples take marriage for granted, I wanted you to know that I don't. I don't take anything we have for granted."

"I know that honey. And you know I don't either. Where did this come from all the sudden?" Arizona asked her wife, caressing the brunettes face with the back of her hand.

"I dunno, I guess just doing the lock got me thinking about what if something were to actually break us. I just want you to promise we won't become another statistic. That when we have big arguments or something that we won't walk away from what we have."

"Cal.." Arizona sighed. "I don't believe in divorce. I take my vows and my commitment to you seriously. I'm not just in this until things get bad between us. I'm staying." She said, resting her hands on her wife's hips. "We'll get angry and we'll get pissed off at each other, that's inevitable. Because we're not perfect.. I don't want us to be perfect." She said, kissing her cheek. "I'm old fashion, Calliope. So yes, I promise you, when things get heated between us, we will go to different rooms and take a breather if we need to, but you can bet your ass after we cool off, we are sitting down and talking our shit out."

Not saying a word after her wife finished, the brunette hugged her wife around the neck. "Is that what you wanted to hear." Arizona laughed, hugging her wife back.

"Yeah." Callie said, kissing the side of her neck. "Thank you."

"You're welcome." Arizona said, kissing her wife's clothed shoulder, seeing the vender at the beginning of the bridge packing up his stand. "I'll be right back. Okay?" She said, quickly walking over to him.

Leaning against the railing, Callie watched a small boat float down the river in front of her, lost in her surroundings she hadn't noticed her wife was walking back to her. "Hold out your left hand." Her blonde spoke, bringing her out of her daze.

"What do you have?" Callie asked, seeing the teal bracelets in her wife's hands.

"I saw these earlier, when that man was talking to us and I though they were cute. So I bought them for us." She said, tying the homemade braided bracelet around her wife's wrist. Handing Callie her bracelet, she held out her hand for her to tie it on.

"They're cute." Callie laughed, seeing Arizona's and her brackets both said 'Hers'. "Thanks." She grinned.

"You're welcome." She said kissing red lips. "Look." She said, dangling her bracelet on her wrist. "Mine has a heart lock charm and yours has the heart key." She smiled. "Now we can remember this moment forever."

"You're amazing. Thank you." Callie hugged her wife, feeling her body stiffen. Pulling back, she looked at her wife, seeing she was looking behind her. "What's wrong babe?" She asked looking in the same direction as her wife.

"Callie.. That's the same man from the restaurant. He's... watching us." She whispered, grabbing on tight to her wife's sides.
