Episode 124 : "The Fate of Delta Five – Part III"

"Keep firing!" the Lieutenant shouted. "We have nowhere to run. This is our last stand, and they know it!"

"Several officers are reporting in," the General replied. "Magna Lasers five and eight have been taken out. The drones we have are being picked off like flies. All we have left are our own fighters."

"I don't want to have to launch good men into the air only to be slaughtered," the Lieutenant said, "but if we sit here, we're all going to be killed anyway. Have the pilots get to their ships and prepare for launch. But wait for my order."

"Yes, Lieutenant," the General replied, then promptly left the room.

"Their forces are being decimated," Grom said to his bridge crew. "Soon we will have their base destroyed, and can run the remaining forces out of Yolon for good!"

"Sir!" one of the officers shouted. "We're picking up over a dozen small craft entering Delta airspace!"

"Put it on screen," Grom ordered. Once the image was magnified, he clutched his fists in anger. "Destroy them! Destroy them at all costs!"

"The base is under attack!" Ciff shouted.

"The Halas and the Drules have joined forces!" Krik said. "Their droves are overrunning the base!"

"Then we need to even up the odds," Jenny said, gripping the yokes tightly. "Split up and start taking out those drones!" The ships scattered and began firing on the drone ships.

"Your Majesty," Binak shouted, "The Voltron Force is here! They are destroying our ships!" Merla stood up.

"I didn't forsee this," she said, staring at the screen intently. "No matter. I believe the Halas have one last trick up their sleeve."

"What is that, your Majesty?" Binak asked.

"Their command ship has a feature they aren't letting on, General," Merla replied. "One that may be enough to stop the Voltron Force in its tracks."

"Sir!" one of the base's officers shouted. "The Voltron Force! They're here!"

"They heard us," the Lieutenant said softly. "Communicate to all remaining functional weapons towers. Give the Voltron Force some backup!"

"Yes, sir!" he replied, following his orders. The lasers took aim and began taking out the drones trying to go after the Voltron Ships.

"The base is firing on the attacking ships," Ken said. "I think they're trying to help!" Eddie and Chet flew at a group of drones.

"Tag team, bro?" Eddie asked.

"Dude," Chet replied. The ships split up, then flew through the crowd, firing precision lasers at them, destroying them.

"We totally burned that fleet, bro!" Eddie shouted.

"Dude, they're so burnt!" Chet laughed.

"Something is happening to the Halassian command ship," Krik said.

"Is it preparing to attack?" Mai asked. Modoch and Cinda flew in closer, avoiding the lasers.

"Krik," Cinda said, "I don't think it's just attacking…"

"You seeing this, Cliff?" Modoch asked.

"It's changing shape!" Cliff shouted.

"Hutch, don't get too close!" Marvin shouted. Something came from the side of the ship and grabbed on to Hutch's ship.

"Aaaaah!' he shouted as the hull electrified marvin flew at it, firing forward arrays until it released Hutch. Hutch managed to engage the auto-pilot so that he could make his escape.

"You alright?" Cliff asked.

"A bit banged up," Hutch replied, "but I'll live. What is it?"

"That's not just a command ship," Dixie said, flying up and over it. "It's a robeast."

"Dixie," Jenny asked, "are you sure? I've never seen anything like it."

"She's right, Jenny," Ken said. "And this one is huge."

"What about the Drules?" Jenny asked.

"Merla's command ship seems to be backing off," Rocky said. "leave it to the Drules to let someone else do their dirty work.

"Then we better get in gear," Jenny said. "Everyone get into position!"

"Sea Team, ready!" Krik said.

"Land Team, ready!" Cliff said

"Air Team, ready!" Jenny shouted. "All units, form Voltron!" The ships all pulled into formation, then energy field surrounding them as they began to dropping into place. "Form feet and legs! Form arms and torso! And I'll form the head!" The CJE locked into place, and the bay doors opened, Voltron's eyes lighting up with power. The Falcon came screaming downward, locking into place. An electric field charged around Voltron's entire body, giving off a sound like thunder. Voltron reached up above his head, then followed up with several air punches as it charged up completely, ready for battle.

"Attack!" Grom shouted as the beast landed on the ground below. It charged at Voltron.

"Grapple it!" Jenny shouted. Voltron reached forward and caught the robeast as it charged him, struggling to push it back.

"Let's put a little muscle into it!" Rocky said. His Voltcom glowed, and Voltron pulled back quickly, then let loose with a right hand, then a left, knocking the robeast backwards, nearly staggering to the ground.

"Get up, you idiots!" Grom shouted. "Fire the mega cannon!" The robeast's chest opened, and it fired a massive energy beam at Voltron, sending it flying backwards, then to the ground, skidding to a halt hundreds of yards away.

"That thing packs a punch," Jenny said, gritting her teeth, one eye closed, straining to pull the yokes.

"He's coming at us again!" Krik shouted.

"Pull left!" Jenny ordered. Voltron jerked and rolled out of the way to avoid another blast, getting to his feet.

"Hit him again!" Grom shouted. "Can't you hit anything!" It leaped into the air and fired again. Voltron leaped into the air to avoid the blast.

"We can't get in close enough," Cliff said.

"I have an idea," Modoch said, "that is, if Cinda's willing."

"I think I know what you're thinking," Cinda said.

"We have to catch them off guard first," Jenny said. "Eye beam!" Voltron fired the Eye Beam at the robeast. It hit them, causing them to stagger back slightly. "Now!"

"Engaging rocket punch now!" Modoch shouted. Voltron held out its fists, and the front of the ships detatched, heading right at the robeast. They hit their mark, sending the robeast falling out of the sky. The fists reattached.

"Good Job, team!" Jenny said. "Now follow up with a flying kick!" Voltron came down with a flying kick, stomping the robeast into the ground. Voltron turned, but the robeast grabbed his leg.

"Did you think you would defeat us that easily?" Grom shouted. It got up, swinging Voltron and sending him flying away into the ground. "Hit him with the electron chargers!" Two cables fired from the robeast, Wrapping around Voltron's arms, then jolting him with an electric charge. The team cried out in pain.

"Victory is in our grasp!" Grom shouted. "Once I have destroyed your precious robot, the entire Galaxy Alliance will bow to the might of Halas!"
