I'm back! It's been ages I know. A lot has happened to keep me away from writing but I'm happy that I'm going to be doing this again!

Chapter 8

Fang ran towards Skyler and caught her just in time. He blew out a breath of relief and turned to look at Christian.

"Does she know anything?"

"Obviously not if she just fainted at the sight of me and him over there." he said as he nodded his head over at the now dead shifter.

"You do know that I have to take her with me."

"Over my dead body"

"Oh trust me, that can be arranged." He said and laughed as Fang growled.

"Remember who your leader is" Fang replied.

"They are watching, so let's make this look good," Christian said as he lunged at Fang who still had Skyler in his arms.

Fang lunged to the left barely missing from being hit by Christians claws. Fang ran towards Christian at full speed. He feigned left than right and at the last moment got behind him and kicked him behind the knees.

"Oomph" Christian replied as he went down. Just as he was about to get back up Fang hit a couple of pressure points behind his neck and down he went.

"That'll keep you safe and off my trail for a while." He said. He had noticed that the sense of danger was gone as soon as he knocked Christian out. Probably thought I killed him, he thought to himself.

He looked down at the unconscious Skyler in his arms and sighed. I guess fate had it to where he had to have her with him and to keep her safe. Like hell was he going to be leaving her by herself now that they knew about her.

kissing her forehead he put her down and then put on the clothes that he found in her parents room. He presumed it to be that of her father's.

After putting his clothes back on he made his way back to her place and into her bedroom. He packed her a couple of her clothes and feminine care items. He slung the backpack over his shoulders and picked Skyler back up.

Looking down at her he nuzzled his face into her neck and blew his breath there so that way his scent was on her and others would know to stay away or else. He kissed her forehead and headed downstairs. He made sure he locked all the windows and front door then made his way towards the back door. He grabbed food and put it in the backpack and headed out the door making sure he locked it after him.

He sighed and inhaled his mates scent. It had a calming effect on him like no other and he reveled in the fact that he had a mate of his own to love and take care of.

"Got to admit, I didn't see that coming." He said and with one last admiring look at her sleeping face he took off into the woods and didn't look back. He knew he was taking her away from what she knew and loved but in order to now keep her safe he had to do it his way.

But he also knew that once she woke up all hell would break loose!

Finally updated the next chapter after like what 5 or 6 years?! So totally my fault! Hopefully I still have some readers out there who will forgive me and comment and like the chapter once they read it. Working on the next chapter as I write this! Stay tuned! :-P
