YEY FINALLY TGIT!
I've heard so many spoilers in the past few weeks I don't know which way to turn. Half the spoilers I've heard this season has been fakes so who knows what is really going to happen! Does someone actually die or are they faking us out and having someone on Scandal die? Who knows with Shondaland! I do know that I'm very nervous that Derek's going to die! Just a hunch!
But I'm still EXCITED to see where they're going with this!
Chapter 85
Both woman were on cloud nine as they made their way back home to grab their bags and head to the airport. Callie with motherhood already on her mind, made Arizona stand by the fireplace and lift up her shirt so she could take a picture to keep a little scrapbook of her wife's pregnancy.
Throwing their bags into the car they headed off to the airport to catch their flight. Before they knew it they were thousands of feet in the air, Arizona's hands were clinging strongly to the brunettes the whole way up. That's one thing she could say about being pregnant, her nerves about flying doubled.
"You know, if you don't loosen up, I'm not going to be able to do surgeries for a month." Callie whispered to her wife.
"I'm sorry." Arizona said, letting the brunettes hand go. "I'm just more nervous than usual. I guess I'm not only thinking of myself any more."
"Don't worry. We'll be fine, flying is safer than driving."
"Yeah, yeah." Arizona rolled her eyes. "Damn right now is when I'd order a nice stiff drink to relax me."
"Sorry, but you can't." Callie said, raising the armrest up that was in between them. "I wish I was home in bed, holding you right now. Just basking in our happiness." She said, wrapping her arms around the blonde and pulling her close.
"Well you could have said something an hour ago, you know." Arizona teased, snuggling into her wife. "I wish I were home in bed and you were holding us too." She said, looking up to her wife.
"I like the sound of that."
"What?"
"You saying us when you're talking about yourself and the baby."
"I like it too." The blonde said, closing her eyes, trying to relax.
"You know, that would have been a good anniversary." Arizona said a few minutes later.
"Staying in bed all day? That would have been the best." Callie laughed. "But I think we needed to get away and have some fun. Plus we can surprise my parents. I didn't tell them we were coming."
"You know if they find out we're in Miami, they'll insist on us to staying with them."
"That's why we're not visiting them until a day or two before we leave." Callie laughed. "I was wondering, do you think it's too soon to tell them? I want to tell them in person, but we won't see them again until Christmas and you'll be almost halfway through your pregnancy by then."
"Well that's the end of the week and I'll be eight weeks by then. I think it's okay to tell our family. I don't want to shout it to the world yet. But I think we can tell our parents. But you know, you'll have to tell your grandma first."
"Yeah, I know. We'll have to tell her in a fun way." Callie said, stroking her wife's side with her fingertips. "I still can't believe she flew out to check on us after the miscarriage."
"Well, she said we needed someone who knew what we were going through."
"You know I thought I knew everything about her, but I never knew she miscarried before having my dad."
"I'm sure not a lot of people put that out there. It's a very painful experience and you don't want people giving you the pity eyes everywhere you turn. We were lucky, our friends found out but didn't harp on it. They let us know they were there and that was the end of it." Arizona said, pulling the cover up over her.
"Yeah, they're pretty great." She replied, snuggling in deeper with her wife. "Ari?" She whispered after a few quiet minutes.
"Yeah?"
"Are you scared?"
Thinking about if for a few moments, "I was." She said, playing with the hem of her wife's shirt. "But I feel good, really good. So my excitement's winning out now."
"I'm scared." Callie admitted.
Lifting her head off her wife's chest, Arizona looked up at the brunette. "I know." She said, cupping her cheek. "I think it's natural in this circumstance, but we've passed our mark." She said, kissing her wife's cheek. "I don't want you to be scared, Calliope."
"I just don't want anything to happen to you again." Callie said with tears in her eyes. "I can't stand seeing you like that." She sniffed.
"Hey, look at me." She said, sitting up in her chair. "We're going to be fine. All three of us. I promise." Arizona was serious too. She knew in her heart that this was going to work out perfectly for them. "We're going to be fine." She said, pulling Callie in her arms.
"I'm sorry. I don't mean to be like this. It should be a happy time." Callie said, burying her face into the blondes neck.
"It IS a happy time. You just found out, it's okay to be a little scared." Arizona soothed her.
"Yeah. I still can't believe it." She said, placing her hand on her wife's belly. "I'll get used to the idea. I promise."
"No hurry." Arizona laughed. "I'm excited enough for the both of us right now." She said, rubbing her wife's back.
"I'm excited too."
"I know." She grinned. "You're face said it all this morning. I wish I would have had a camera."
"Great surprise." Callie yawned. All the happenings from this morning was finally catching up with her. "That was the last thing I was expecting."
"Greatest surprise." Arizona said, hearing her wife yawn. "You sleepy too, huh?"
"Yeah, you wore me out last night." She said, as the blonde leaned her head on her. "In the best way possible of course."
"Always the best way possible. And I'm hoping for a repeat tonight." The blonde whispered.
"I wouldn't be a good spouse if I didn't put out on my anniversary, now would I?"
"You would be a terrible wife." Arizona laughed. "Get some sleep babe." She said, pulling the cover up around them before leaning her head against Callie's again as they both tried to get some rest.
After landing in Miami, Callie hailed a cab to take them to her fathers hotel. Checking into the penthouse suite, she made sure everything she asked for was in place before she led her wife up to the room.
"Wait, before we go in I just want to say. Happy Anniversary and I hope you love your surprise." She leaned in to kiss the blonde as she pushed open the door.
When Callie opened the door for the blonde to enter, Arizona saw the whole place dimly lit up with candles. "Come on." The brunette pulled their bags inside and lead her wife into the large family room. The backdrop was beautiful, the room had ceiling to floor glass windows so the could see the bright lights of Miami shinning below them.
"This is a beautiful view, Calliope." Arizona said, walking up the the window to gaze out to the city underneath them.
"Not as beautiful as mine." She said, wrapping her arms around the blondes waist and resting her chin on her shoulder. "I asked my dad a few weeks ago what do you get for your wife for your one year anniversary? And he said paper." Callie swayed them as they took in the sight. "I thought and I thought and I told him that paper isn't good enough. I went through a hundred different things, I could just write you a note with all the things I love and admire about you. But then I thought, that wasn't something memorable. I want to give you a gift you'll never forget. Then I thought, I could give you a gift certificate for massages or something insignificant. But again, I thought... that's something we do anyway so that was out of the question too. Then I was like.. maybe money, because that's paper, but why would I do that. We are married so if I gave you money, I would be giving you something that's already yours." She laughed.
Arizona had no idea where her wife was going with this, but she was loving it. Being wrapped in Callie's arms was the greatest gift of all. "The trip to Miami is my gift. That's enough. And hello.. plane tickets. They were paper, if you want to get technical about it."
"Damn, I never thought of that. I could have saved myself a lot of money." Callie teased, kissing the nape of her wife's neck.
"Well I'm sure whatever you did was money well spent." Arizona said, turning her face into the side of her wife's, inhaling her unique scent.
"I think you'll like it." She whispered as they heard a knock on the door. "I wonder who in the world that could be." She said, walking over to pull a stool right in front of the window and leading her wife to the couch. "Wait here. I'll see who it is." She winked.
Arizona sat on the sofa as she waited for her wife to return. Hearing an exchange taking place, she turned when she heard her wife coming back. "Who was that?" She asked when Callie took a seat next to her and pulled her close.
"Oh just.. wrong room." Callie waved her hand to dismiss it.
"It's the penthouse. We're the only room on this floor."
"Drunk kids. It's Miami." She shrugged. "You remember the first song we ever heard together?"
"Of course. It became my favorite song overnight." Arizona snuggled into her wife's side.
"I know you're probably tired, but how about we relax on the couch and listen to it and a few others for a while?" Since it was already late in the evening, they decided to hold off on their anniversary dinner and just relax in the room and order room service for the night.
"How about a nice relaxing bath while we listen."
"Umm. No. This is part of my surprise. We're going to sit here and snuggle on the couch as we listen to Ed Sheeran live."
"I didn't know he had a live album." Arizona said as an acoustic guitar started to play their song while Callie's guest walked into the room. Turning around to the sound, Arizona saw the artist walk in and sit down on the stool her wife had placed by the window.
Watching her wife stair at the man with her mouth hanging open, Callie pulled her back to her. "Now will you just sit back and snuggle while we have our own little private show?"
"How did you?"
"Shh.." She placed her finger on her wife's lips. "Just sit back and enjoy baby." Callie whispered as Ed Sheeran began to sing their song. They sat in mostly quiet as they held onto each other while they listened to the set of songs Callie had requested for him to play. Dancing with the blonde during a few slow songs, the show finally came to an end. After a few pictures, an autograph and a quick chat with the artist, the girls were all alone for the rest of the night.
"See." Callie said, holding up his autographed picture he sighed for them. "Paper." She grinned.
"I can't believe you thought of that. And here you said your surprise would suck." Arizona said, hugging her wife around the neck. "That was.. wow."
"It was pretty great, but it still doesn't beat yours." Callie returned the hug.
"Thank you, it was wonderful, Calliope."
"Don't thank me yet, I have one more thing." Callie took her hand and led them to the bedroom.
Walking into the room, Arizona saw a dozen roses sitting on the nightstand with a card and a small gift box beside it. "Callie." She sighed. "You didn't have to get me anything else." She said, smiling at her wife. "I mean, I didn't really spend this much on you and now I feel bad."
"Are you kidding? You gave me the world this morning. And it did cost a lot, but totally worth it." She chuckled. "And I did have to get you this, because when I saw it I just knew it was perfect for you. Go ahead, open it." Callie said handing the blonde the card and small box.
Opening the card, Arizona read her wife's message to her.
Love is not as simple as candlelight and roses. Love is day to day living, taking time, making time to be there, with open arms and a giving heart. Love is the special life we share.
You're my Wife
Not just my friend, but my love
Not just my love, but my heart
Not just my heart, but my life
Not just my life, you are my EVERYTHING
I. Love. You.
P.S. It takes a second to fall in love, but a lifetime to prove its worth. I hope I prove my love to you each and every single day.
I love you baby. Happy Anniversary
With all my love, Calliope
"Damn these hormones." Arizona said, wiping away a stray tear as she laid the card down and picked up the box.
"You're sure it wasn't just my writing?" Callie whispered in her neck as she wrapped her up from behind.
"It might have been." Arizona said, opening the box and finding white gold diamond Infinity symbol necklace, featuring the words 'and beyond' in Rose gold. "It's beautiful Callie." She gasped pulling the necklace out.
"I love you, to infinity and beyond." She smiled kissing her shoulder.
"I love it." She said, handing it to her wife to put it on. "It's perfect." She turned and said after Callie clasped it around her neck. "Thank you." She leaned in for a tender kiss.
"You're very welcome." Callie said leaning down for one more soft touch.
"Oh, you gave me the perfect idea."
"What's that?"
"If we have a boy we are totally doing his room in Woody and Buzz."
"Umm.. Whoa." Callie laughed. "The whole reason of me letting you decorate the surgical ward was to avoid the Disney crap at home." She didn't mind really, it always made her think of her wife and anything that made her think of Arizona she was a-okay with in her book.
"Oh Calliope, when will you learn. Happy wife, happy life." Arizona patted her on the cheek. She was only kidding of course but if Callie didn't really oppose to the idea, it was at least a consideration. "Wait right here." Arizona said leaving the room to find Callie's gift in her purse. "Here." She said, handing her wife a card. "This is for you." She shyly smiled up at the brunette.
Opening the card that had two rings bound together as one, Callie read her wife's words.
I didn't marry you because you were perfect. I didn't even marry you because I loved you. I married you because you gave me a promise. That promise made up for your faults. And the promise I gave you made up for mine. Two imperfect people got married one year ago today and it was the promise that made the marriage. And someday when our children grow up, it won't be the house and it won't be our love that protected them. It will be that one promise we made on this special day.
You are the greatest thing that has ever happened to me.
I love you. Happy Anniversary.
Calliope. You are my world, my love, my life.
Love, Arizona.
"Damn your hormones." Callie said, wiping her eyes. "You always one up me."
"I do not. You did very well today." Arizona laughed, wiping her wife's cheeks. "I have you another gift, you just can't have it yet."
"What is it?"
"When I'm further along, really further along. I have us an appointment booked with Christopher Milan, to take pictures before we have the baby."
"You got Christopher Milan to take pregnancy pictures?" Callie's eyes lite up. She always thought those were just the sweetest thing.
"Yeah. I thought it would be cute.. And.. It's paper!" Arizona pointed out.
"How? How did you even book him, let alone get him to agree to take pregnancy pictures. He hates them."
"Well I guess we both have our ways of persuasion. Plus it's hard to resist the Robbins charm." The blonde shrugged her shoulders.
"It is." Callie said, laying the card down and embracing her wife. "Happy. Anniversary. Arizona." She mumbled against pink lips. "And. Thank. You. For. My. Presents. I. Love. Them. And. I. Love. You." She said, between soft pecks.
Giggling, "You're welcome, Calliope. And thank you." Arizona said returning the kisses.
"You ready for a nice bath?"
"Umm.. Nope. Not yet. We're hungry." She said, rubbing her stomach. "Feed us."
"You're too much." Callie shook her head laughing.
After having their fill of room service, the couple soaked in the hot tub of water. Not many words were shared at first, both so relaxed and content with each other, words weren't needed.
"You're hair is getting so long." Callie said, shampooing the blonde locks.
"I know." Arizona moaned as Callie massaged her scalp. "I've been thinking about getting it cut."
"Oh?"
"Yeah. You don't like it shorter?"
"No. I loved it short. I love it long too." Callie said, rinsing her wife's hair out. "Are you talking about a trim or short like when we met?"
"Well, short compared to now, like when we met. It's just aggravating trying to dry it all the time. And especially being pregnant now, I'm sure I'll be too tired." She laughed. There has been a handful of days lately that she had to take quick power naps at work after lunch. "Back when it was shoulder length I could let it air dry, it takes too long for that now."
"I could always dry your hair." Callie said, kissing her wife's neck. "But I do miss your shoulder length hair too. Reminds me of when we met. You were so cute."
"Were? So I'm not now?" Arizona might have been reading too much into the statement.
"No. No I didn't mean it like that and you know it."
"Mmhmm." She crossed her arms and leaned up in the tub.
"Hey." Callie grabbed her wife's shoulders. "Stop. Im not saying that. I'm saying I liked it both ways. You were cute then and you're cute now."
"Sorry." Arizona whispered and leaned back on her wife.
"It's okay. I just have to be more.. careful with my words for a while."
"No you don't. I know you didn't mean anything by it. I promise, I won't be like this my whole pregnancy." She turned her head into her wife's chest.
"It's okay if you are. You're pregnant. I'll let it slide." Callie laughed. "Plus, I know the perfect way you can make it up to me."
"Oh yeah? What's that?"
Brushing her thumb over her wife's nipple, Callie whispered. "I think you'll know." Watching her wife's skin prick with chill bumps. "I should have known you were pregnant. Every time I've touched your boobs lately you get chills." She grinned as she toyed with her wife.
"They're sensitive." She said as Callie bent down and flattened her tongue over her hardened nipple. "Ahh.." Gasping when she felt her wife's warm tongue against her. "That hurts, but it feels so good." She said, brushing brown hair away from her wife's face.
"Just say the word and I'll stop." Callie said, moving over to the blondes left breast and repeating her actions. She knew her wife would never tell her to quit, but she threw it out there just to be nice.
"No, it's a go.. good kind of hurt." Arizona watched as Callie took her bud between her teeth. "It's.. different." She moaned, rolling her head back on her shoulders.
"Oh yeah?" The brunette mumbled, letting go of her wife's breast and slowly kissing her way up to her neck. Landing on Arizona's pulse point, she began to suck the skin she found there. "I love feeling your heartbeat race under my lips." She said, kissing the red spot and latching on again.
"Don't.. God.." Arizona panted. Having Callie's lips on her was already heart stopingly amazing. "Don't make marks... I want to got to the... beach and I don't want everyone.. seeing your mark on me." She giggled when Callie squeezed her love handles.
"But I want everyone to know you're mine." Callie said, licking the irritated skin.
"Kinda hard not to know. My eyes are always on you." Crashing her lips with her wife's, Arizona turned around in the tub and straddled her waist. Pushing the brunette back against the tub, she kissed a trail down Callie's neck. Slowly taking her time before taking her wife's nipple in between her teeth. Looking up at brown lustful eyes, she clamped down receiving a slight whimper from her brunette.
"Ohh.. fuck." Callie hissed, pushing her breasts into her wife's mouth and hand.
"You like that, baby?" Arizona asked while moving to her wife's other breast, giving it equal attention.
"Yes." Callie moaned, rolling her eyes in the back of her head when her wife massaged and kissed her breasts.
"Calliope." She raised up and breathed in her wife's ear, sending chills down caramel skin.
"Hmm.."
"Make love to me." She whispered.
Hearing the need in her wife's voice, Callie quickly stood them both in the tub and grabbed a towel to dry off with. Drying her wife off after herself, she wrapped her arms around the naked blonde and lifted her from the floor.
Taking the hint from Callie, Arizona wrapped her legs around the brunettes waist. Immediately finding her wife's red lips as the brunette walked them into their huge bedroom with glass windows surrounding the room.
Laying her wife gently on the bed, Callie slowly crawled up her, laying soft kisses from her toes to her head. "Callie.."
"Yeah?" The brunette whispered against her wife's jaw.
"You're such a tease." She giggled, smacking her wife on her bottom.
"Ouch." Callie yelped in surprise.
"You like that?" Laughing at her wife's surprise, she smacked her again.
"Hey, now."
"Say my name." Arizona winked, bucking her hips up to meet her wife's.
"Oh my god, Arizona." She laughed, her wife taking her by surprise.
"That's right baby, say it again." She said, smacking her wife's butt for the third time.
"Arizonaaa." Callie sat up, straddling her wife. "Stop that." She laughed at her wife's antics.
"Yeah baby.. that's it." Arizona said, grabbing her wife's nipples and giving them a slight tug.
"Oh my god, you're being terrible." Callie giggled, grabbing her wife's hands and pinning them above her head. "I think it's time for someone to say my name." She said, changing positions so she was now straddling only one of her wife's legs. Locking the blondes wrists down with the left hand, she trailed her fingertips lightly down her wife's arms and over her sides.
"Don't you dare." Arizona pulled at her hands.
"Ah.. Ah ah.." Callie tisked her.
"Don't do it." She warned her.
"And what are you going to do about it?" Callie said, gripping her side.
Looking at her hands above head, Arizona tried to wiggle out of her wife's hold. "If you tickle me, I might pee the bed and then we'd have to sleep on the couch." She pouted.
"Any excuse is better than none, huh?"
"Did it work?"
"You tell me?" Callie said, trailing her hand down to the blondes sex.
"Yes.." Arizona gasped when she felt her wife dip her fingers in her wet folds. "Yes, yes it did."
"Someone's excited." Callie laughed.
"Yes, yes I am." She nodded emphatically.
Callie spent a few more minutes teasing her wife before she decided Arizona had had enough. "Give me your leg." She patted the blondes free limb.
Raising her leg, Arizona watched as Callie melded their centers together perfectly. Grabbing behind the brunettes caramel knee, she pulled her as close as she could get, leaving no room to spare between them.
Pulling back slightly, Callie ran her fingers through her wife's folds, collecting her arousal then rubbing it on her own sex to make for a smooth glide.
"Damn it." Arizona whined when she saw what her wife did. If she wasn't totally turned on before, she sure as hell was now. "Thats so hot." Bucking her center against Callie's, her wife took the not so subtle hint and thrusted her center on hers. "Oh god."
"Feel good baby?" Callie asked, as she slowly continued her rhythm.
"Yeah." She panted, meeting her wife's thrusts. "So good." She said, resting her foot on her wife's shoulder.
"You feel so good, Arizona." Callie said, looking down, watching their centers collide together. "So damn good." She leaned down to kiss her wife as they continued their dance.
"Harder Callie." Arizona whispered, breaking their passionate kiss.
"You sure?" Callie looked between their bodies to make sure she wasn't smushing her wife.
"Yeah, I'm fine." She pulled her back in, immediately attacking the inside of the brunettes mouth. "Mmm.." She moaned, pulling back from the heated kiss. Deciding to take things into her own hands, Arizona quickly flipped them before Callie even registered what happened.
"Whoa.." The brunette said, flopping down on the bed. "I thought you wanted me too.."
"I do." Arizona stopped her. "I just want to show.. you I won't break." She said, thrusting her center on her wife's wet sex. Their arousal mixed together, you couldn't tell where one ended and the other began. "You won't hurt me." She knew Callie was being gentle with her cause she was afraid she would hurt her in some way.
"I know, I can't help it." Callie said, slightly lifting her hips off the bed. "Fuck, Arizona." She moaned when the blonde ground her sex onto her.
"That's right." Arizona giggled. "Say my name." She said, smacking the brunettes thigh.
"Oh my god. You have to stop th.. that." She said as Arizona stopped her rhythm and circled her thumb around her clit. "But don't stop that." Callie moaned, rolling her eyes in the back of her head as she grabbed her own hair tightly. "Fuck. I'm so close." She said, lacing her hand with her wife's, wanting to feel more intimate.
"Me too." The blonde panted before leaning down to kiss her moaning wife. "I love you." She whispered as their bodies continued to meld together.
"I.. love you too." Callie breathed as she felt that all to familiar feeling in the pit of her stomach. "Faster baby.. I'm gonna.. come." She said grabbing the blondes butt, helping her on.
"Me too." She said, hovering over her wife. "Come with me, Calliope." She husked, watching her wife's brown eyes sparkle with love.
"I.. oh shit."
"Let go baby." Arizona coaxed her, leaning into her to join their lips again.
Light moans and whimpers were heard throughout the room as they both peaked simultaneously, yelling the others name as they slowly came down from their high. Arizona collapsing on her wife with a light sheen of sweat all over her body as they both regained their breathing.
"That was.." Callie was the first to speak after several long minutes of quietness.
"As always." Arizona said, kissing her wife just before rolling off of her. "You never cease to amazing me." She said, pulling the cover up over her body when she got a chill.
"I could say the same." Callie smiled, rolling on her side to look at her wife. "You're glowing." Propping her head up on her hand, she brushed her wife's sweaty hair behind her ear.
"I'm not." She shook her head.
"You are."
"It's just from the hot sex." The blonde laughed.
"No." Callie shook her head this time. "It goes deeper than that. You have this aura about you right now. Now that I think about it, you've had it for a while. You're absolutely beautiful, Arizona." She said, caressing the blondes sides.
"Thank you." The blonde said, rubbing her thumb over her wife's cheek.
"It's late. You should get some sleep." Callie leaned down and kissed her on the nose. "We have three fun filled days ahead of us before we go visit my family and ruin out alone time."
"Will you take me out on the boat again? You're super hot as a captain."
"Maybe.. If you're a good girl." She teases.
"Oh, I'll defiantly be a good girl." Arizona laughed.
"Happy anniversary, Arizona."
"Happy anniversary, Calliope." Arizona leaned in for one more kiss. "Good night."
"Good night Ari." Callie said, kissing her wife's neck before bending down. "Good night to you too, my sweet baby." She whispered to the blondes stomach before planting a soft kiss on her belly.
