Chapter 18

Allen P.O.V

He leads me to my new bedroom, which is down the hall and the second door on the right. He opens the door for me and I walk into the room taking it all in. There is a king sized bed in the middle of the room and an open door leading into a bathroom. Two clear doors go out onto a small but still nice balcony and I instantly open them to feel the cool breeze go through my hair. A hand on my shoulder brings me back to reality. I turn to see the bright red hair up in my face.

"Yeah?" I ask.

"Sooo you like it?" He trails and you could hear the hope in it.

"Well…" I start, sounding disappointed, "OF COURSE!" He brings his hand up to his head to wipe away imaginary sweat.

"Few! You totally got me," He laughs along with me, "I let you settle in."

"Ok, thanx." I walk around the room taking it all in again. Suddenly a vibrating in my pocket startles me. I grab my phone out from my back pocket and answer it without bothering to check caller id.

"Hello?" I ask. Little sniffles from the other end of the line is heard.

"Ahem?" I fake cough.

"Oh sorry, Allen is that you?" The voice says, but it is all too familiar. 'That feminine voice, it couldn't be. Could it?'

"Allen?" I stiffen at the sound.

"Y-Yeah?" I stutter.

"Erm, it's Kagome." 'It is her.'

"I know. Why did you call." I say coldly into the phone.

"Why did you leave me?" 'Out of all the questions she could have asked she just had to choose this one.'

"Well, let's see… I'm not the one who goes and says to their ex-boyfriend –no wait, he wasn't even you're boyfriend- and calls him hunky while I was on the phone." I rant.

"Y-You heard that?" She whispers, with her normally confident voice gone fragile.

"Hmmm, I thought I already stated that." I say with my voice raising a little bit.

"Ughhhh! Listen Allen, I'm sorry ok? I want you back! I need you, you make my life better and you made me feel like I was worth something when Inuyasha just toyed with my feelings and made me feel like crap! Look Allen I LOVE YOU! Happy now? I love you, there I said it." She shouted.

'She she loves me? But no one can love me. But Kagome loves me? Kagome loves me.'

"What?" I whisper.

"I love you." She says calm now.

"Well, I don't. Sorry." I Lie. 'Lies, why did I lie? I love her of course but then why would I lie?'

"W-Why? Why don't you love me? Why does nobody love me?" She screams.

"Goodbye Kagome." I whisper before hanging up on her and then falling down onto the bed.

2 months later…

I walk out of the Kendo dojo and start the walk back home. Whatever home is. Stopping at Starbucks, I order a coffee and then sit down on one of the many seats and wait for my name to be called.

"Allen?" My head shots up to see an all too familiar person standing before me. Her long dark hair falling down her back in waves and the way her eyes bore into mine like she can see right into my soul.

"K-Kagome?" She nods her head.

"Ha-ha, funny seeing you here…" I say awkwardly. 'And funny how I never stopped loving you when you probably got over me after I hurt you.'

"Long black for Allen Walker?"

"Well see you around?" I ask and she nods her head hesitantly.

"Yeah." She says.

I stand, grab my coffee and start to walk off when I hear her whisper "I never stopped loving you." I stop straight away and turn around to ask her if I heard what I really hear but she is already walking away so I drop my coffee, run towards her, grab her shoulders and turn her around.

"You never stopped loving me?" I ask. Her cheeks turn a scarlet colour instantly. I was obviously not supposed to hear this.

"I always loved you, sorry I lied." Her eyes go wide in surprise and before she can do anything else I crash my lips onto hers and savour the taste in joy because I haven't felt them in so long.

She kisses me back and forget that we are in the middle of starbucks and I forget that people could stare but I don't care as long as I have Kagome with me then I'm fine. I 'm gonna be alright.
