Chapter 22

Allen P.O.V.

We walk out of her apartment together and then out of the building. When we get to the car I see a little slip of paper under the window wipers.

"Ah, just perfect." I mutter. It's a ticket for speeding. I was going to be late, I had to go fast! I shake my head in frustration and then get into the car. I would've opened the door for her but she already got in when I was looking at the ticket. Starting the car and driving out of the parking spaces, I turn to look at Shally but see that she is already staring at me. I turn my head back to the front window so I don't crash the car or something like that. When we're on the road she asks,

"What was that white piece of paper."

"Oh, just a ticket." I reply glancing at her for a second. She looks confused.

"For what?" She asks curiously.

"I was speeding."

"Why?" Geez, she asks a lot of questions.

"I didn't want to be late." I answer embarrassed.

"Aww, that's cute!" She squeals.

"Haha, not really..." I reply awkwardly. The guy in front of me is going about 40 km/h on a 60 km/h road and I want to get to the movie on time so I beep the horn a couple of times a muttered a few colorful words here and there. When he finally goes a little bit faster I turn to Shally and see that she is looking at me with disgust but quickly masks it with a smile and a comment that made me want to throw up all that tea I had drunken.

"Road rage, huh? Sexy." And then she tried to look suductive by throwing me a wink. It was obvious that she had heaps of makeup on because when she smiled her foundation cracked into the dimples that I just realized she had. Don't ask me how I know that it is foundation. Ok, I had to go through half an hour of torture when Kagome caught me snooping around the drawers in her bathroom when I was only looking for some deoderent so I wouldn't smell like a pig. Kagome told me all about what types of makeup she wears and how 'It blends in with her natural skin color' I tried to tell her that she looks fine without makeup on but then she went on and said that I shouldn't lie. But I have to admit that even when we were talking about makeup, I still loved to be with Kagome. No! I can't keep on remembering the times with Kagome, I've got to get over her!

"Sorry, I just... Well, I want to get to the movie on time." I answer with a awkward smile. She just laughs it off and we finally are able to turn right off the turnoff and then drive into the underground car park of the mall.

We walk into the dark movie theater with a large popcorn for myself and a small for Shally after I persuaded her that watching a movie without popcorn is just a crime. I also hold the tickets and a large coke in the other hand that isn't occupied with my delicious, buttery popcorn. Maybe too buttery. Oh well. We walk down the isle and manage not to fall over which was a huge relief when I slumped down in my seat but being careful not to spill my drink. Shally leans over her seat and taps my shoulder.

"What?" I ask, "Wait sorry, that came out harsh."

"Oh, um... Nevermind." She says then shakes her head.

"Um, ok." I trail off awkwardly. The movie starts and its when Shally screams with her popcorn flying everywhere- which didn't exactly make the people in front of us too happy- and when she practically sits on my lap that I find out that she isn't a fan of horror movies.

"Soooo, horror movies aren't your thing?" I ask amused but slightly annoyed as my legs are going numb.

"Uhh y-y-y-yeah." She stutters a little but over the top. The movie continues with her on my lap and with her covering my vision from the movie screen. When the credits finally start rolling down the screen or I assume that they are because the lights turn on and Shally stands up from my lap which I am very happy about because I can finally feel the blood able to reach my toes.

"Ok, I'll take you back to your place and then... yeah." I inform her. She nods but looks kinda sad. We walk out the movie theatre with Shally walking in front of me. While we walk back to the car I take the time to look at her, really look at her. Her brunette hair swishes from one side to the other, she sways her hips a lot as she walks, she is actual quite small, probably just reaching my shoulder. Just. She is wearing an extremely small skirt and I'm afraid she might accidentally flash if it gets a little windy. By the time I finish studying her we have reached the car.

"Thank you for taking me out." Shally tells me. A big smile is upon her face, making her look very cute.

"It's fine, seriously," I reasure her, "I enjoyed it." Yeah, when you weren't speaking or on my lap. Ok, I have to admit that was quite rude of me. Even in my head. She steps closer to me before standing on her the tipie toes and quickly pecking my cheek.

"See ya later, kay?" She asks, and I nod surprised that she kissed me. She opens the door behind her and walks inside giving me one last smile.

I run to the car and drive out back to my apartment before I can get another speeding ticket for the journey back from the mall.
