Chapter 98

Catching the blonde in her arms, Erica then laid her down on the floor by the door. Slamming the door shut, she walked around the pregnant woman.

"What the hell..." Grabbing Arizona's arms that were laying lifeless beside her, she drug her further into the foyer to give herself some more space to work. "Why?" Arizona cried as she tried to move her body to fight the woman off her. "What are you doing to me?" She whimpered.

"I told you." Erica said, standing and looking around the room. "We needed to have a talk." She said, walking out of the front door to get her doctor bag she had laid on the porch. Taking a calming breath, she collected herself before walking back into the house where her victim laid helpless.

"Help!" Arizona screamed for her life when the blonde walked out of the room. Looking around, she silently prayed that somehow someone was still left from the party and they would be walking through the house any minute. "Please.. somebody." She cried, trying with all her might to move her arms and legs. "What the fuck did you do to me?" She growled getting angry because she was so helpless. She wasn't sure what the taller woman had planned, but she knew she wanted no part in it. "Calliope..." She whimpered, squeezing her eyes shut and praying her wife would walk back into the house or she would wake up from this terrible nightmare. Seeing Erica walking back through her front door, Arizona's eyes went wide when she saw her carrying a doctor bag. "Tell me!" She demanded, scared for her and her baby's life. "I swear to god." She gritted her teeth. "Tell me right now! What are you going to do."

"You're a little spitfire, you know that?" Erica laughed. She loved seeing the blonde get mad. "You know, I kinda see what Callie sees in you. You're cute when you're mad." She teased. "You know, I really did try liking you." She said, looking down at the blonde. "You're feisty.." She knelt down to her. Arizona's eyes glistened in fear. "You're funny. Beautiful. You got the girl." She shook her head like it was a shame that the blonde had all of those qualities. "Then I realized how much I despised you. You have everything I always wanted and you're everything I wanted to be."

"Erica? Please, tell me what was in the syringe?" Arizona asked calmly, taking a huge breath.

"It doesn't matter what was in the syringe." Erica said, taking her jacket off. "What matters is that you can't move from the neck down." She boldly stated, grabbing her bag and pulling out some items she needed. "Did you know you can order drugs from another country and have them delivered right to your door? Like.." She laughed. "... no one in this continent knows I have this stuff." She grinned, like she had accomplished some big task. "Well one person knows... and now you, but whatever, it doesn't matter." She shrugged.

"What.. what are you going to do?" She looked around the room to see how long her wife had been gone. "Damn it." She whispered to herself. More tears escaped her eyes when she saw her brunette had only been gone fifteen minutes tops and had at least twenty more minute before she would be home. 'Calliope.. Please baby, hurry.' She prayed.

"Don't you see, Arkansa." She said, knowing how much it pissed the blonde off when she called her that. "Life's funny. I was sulking away after the night at the pizzeria when I first met you because I knew then I had lost Callie for good. And then I met someone." She laughed. "We got to talking and we clicked you know, but we kept it low key, nothing serious. So I used needle dick.." She refereed to her supposed boyfriend that Callie and Arizona had double dates with. "..as my decoy and it worked. You both were so oblivious, it was hard to keep a straight face around you."

"Wh.. who." Arizona was trying to put everything together. "No..." She shook her head. "Addison was right. You brought Lauren in didn't you. You sent her to the clinic."

"Guilty." She grinned. "Remember when I said I was getting help?" She evilly laughed. "Lauren was my help. At first, I was just going to use Lauren just to break you up, but then she really started to fall for you which made my plan even better, or I thought it did, but you both wouldn't break. Your dumbass didn't see it, but Callie keyed in to what Lauren was up too her first meeting with her, so we backed off for a bit. And a while later we got caught talking in an on call room at work and the next thing you know rumor is that we're in a relationship. So we went with it and we actually started falling for each other." Erica said, sitting a small hand towel on top of the blondes stomach and laying a shiny silver scalpel on the blue towel as she explained everything to the blonde. "She's not bad, I like her... she's no Callie.. but she's nice. Someone I could raise a family with."

"What are you getting at Erica? Where is Lauren?" Arizona asked. "Oh god. You... she has my Calliope.."

"Not hardly, Lauren hates that bitch. She's keeping the car warm down the street." Erica said, picking the knife back up. "Don't you see.. you had what I wanted and Callie had what she wanted." She said, pointing the tool at the blonde. "And since you wouldn't give us what we wanted, we're taking what you want."

"You can't take Calliope from me.. I won't let you." Arizona didn't realize what she had meant until she saw the doctors eyes gaze down at her stomach. "What are you.. you're going to cut my baby out of my body?" Her eyes wide in shock. "Please.. NO." She shook her head, remembering the last time she saw Lauren she kept staring at her stomach. "Calliopeeeeee." She screamed. "Callie pleaseee." She cried, screaming for her life. "Please." She whimpered.

"Hey.. Hey. Hey.." Erica yelled to get her to calm down some. "Awe.. you're scared. I can tell." She tried to ease her mind. "But don't worry. I'm a doctor, I cut people for a living. I know what I'm doing."

"This is my baby, you can't take her. She'll die." Arizona growled. "She's still too small, Erica. She's needs me, you need me." She pleaded. "She needs to stay inside to survive. No please. I'll do anything. Just don't take her yet. She won't make it.. She won't make it.. She's too little."

"I've paid attention and I've done some studying, I'm no peds expert, but Lauren said she should be over four pounds now, she'll be okay. She'll have two doctors taking care of her." She said, placing her hand on the blondes stomach.

"Noooo." Arizona said in disgust.

"She kicked." Erica smiled, feeling the baby move in the blondes stomach. "She's calling for me. She wants her mommy."

"Nooooo..." Arizona cried at the top of her lungs, praying someone would hear her. "Callie's her mommy. Please don't do this to her. If you love her the way you said you do, you won't do this."

"I have to do this. Don't you see, this is the only way. If I can't have her, I can at least have her baby."

"Nooooo."

Charlie and River were both laying out in their house out back when they heard a blood curling scream. River raised his ears at the familiar sound of his owner. Sensing something was wrong he jumped up on the gate barking relentlessly, causing Charlie to do the same thing.

"Lauren and I are her mommies now."

"No. No. No." She started hyperventilating. "If you would just wait until she's a little bigger."

"No. No. No. I have attacked you in your home and have drugged you." Erica said, getting angry. "You think they would let me off if they catch me? It's not happening. I can't do that to my baby. She needs me. She needs her mommy."

"Erica.." She pleaded. "Noo.." She yelled as a fist come her way. "Ow.." She whined feeling the throb in her face.

"Shut up!" The heart surgeon yelled, punching the blonde in the face. Blood I immediately poured from Arizona's nose.

Surprised at herself when she punched the smaller blonde. "Oh, God. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I'm sorry." She jumped up and searched for the bathroom. Retrieving a few towels, she quickly went back to the paralyzed woman. "I'm so sorry." She said, wiping the blonde off her face.

"Please, please, Erica." Arizona was barely at a whisper.

"Everything will be fine, okay." She tried to console her. "Once the baby's out. We'll be gone and you won't ever have to worry about me or Lauren anymore." She said, pulling the woman's shirt up.

"Erica please, please." She continued to beg, knowing it wouldn't do any good but it was her only option. Hearing her dogs barking. "Charlie... River..." She whimpered. Of all times now was the time she had to leave them outside.

"Shut up." Erica growled, getting more agitated at the blonde. "I have to hurry before someone comes." She said, touching the tip of the blade to the blondes stomach. Just as she was about to make the first cut she heard a trampling of feet and barking coming her way from inside the house.

"Boys.. Oh god, River." Arizona breathed a sigh of relief when she heard the dogs bark coming closer. She was more than thankful they left the back door opens on the unusual warm day.

"What the fuck." Erica reached into her bag, quickly grabbing another syringe that she had on standby in case Callie was to come back around. She had no idea about the dogs. "Argh..." She yelled as the husky snapped at her arm, clinching his teeth around her bone. "Fuck." She gritted through her teeth as the dog clamped down and tried to tear her arm apart, causing her to drop the needle. Trying to sling the dog off, she was able to pick the needle up with her free arm and jab it into the husky's shoulder, causing him to release and drop to the floor whimpering.

"River.. NOOOOOO." Arizona watched as her only hope fell lifeless to the floor. "Why..." She cried as Charlie now came barging through the room.

"Call him down or I'll kill him." She quickly jumped to her feet, holding the scalpel out from her.

"Charlie... Charlie... No no." She pleaded with the dog to back away. "No baby. No."

Growling, he slowly took a step forward as to try the woman. Erica swung her arm around trying to slash the dog with the knife, letting it know to back off.

"No boy.. No." Arizona pleaded with him. Looking down at his owner, he sniffed her as he seemed to check her out. Licking her forehead, he gently laid beside his owner as if he was trying to comfort her in some way. "Charlie.. Come on boy." She said as Erica knelt back down on the floor. "Go find Callie. Please." She pleaded with the Britney, but he didn't move. She felt ridiculous begging a dog for her life but she didn't know what else to do.

"Fucking dogs." Erica said, trying to shake the pain out of her arm. "He makes one move and I will stab him right in the heart." She pointed at the dog by the blondes head before bringing the blade down to her stomach, just below her bellybutton.

"Wait.. you?" Arizona trying to keep calm for the baby's sake. "Erica.. Erica.. Stop."

"What?" She yelled, about to make the cut.

"Don't cut there. It's too high. You're a doctor, think like one. If you cut there, you'll cut the baby and I know you don't want to hurt her." She panicked.

"You know, you probably won't survive, right!"

"I know." She nodded, closing her eyes as more tears slipped out. All she could think about was her baby and Callie and also how devastated the brunette would be when she found out. "It...It's for the baby. Don't hurt her, please." She said as the blonde nodded. "When you get her out.." She swallowed. "You cut the cord. Don't waste time, you cut it as soon as she's out." Her voice broke. Recalling her days when she worked back at Addison's clinic in Los Angeles, "There are a ton of blankets over there in gift bags." She looked into the living room where all their baby gifts still sat. "As soon as she's out, cut the cord and you wrap her up. Keep her warm. She needs to stay warm."

"I think under different circumstances we could have been friends." Erica said as she began to make the cut.

"Noooo." Arizona sobbed. Charlie had tried to keep his owner comforted but when she cried out again he quickly jumped up and attack the doctor before she could even register what had happened. Knocking the bloody blade out of her hand, the woman jumped back trying to get away from the dog which only caused her to fall on her back, knocking the small table over. Charlie latched onto the same arm River had bit and tried with his might to pull her limb off. "You goddamn beast."

"WHAT THE HELL." Arizona heard a voice come from the entrance of her home.

"MARK.. Oh god, Mark.." She breathed a huge sigh of relief. "Help me... please." She cried as he quickly ran in.

"LEXIE..." He yelled for his girlfriend who was outside in the car waiting on him. They had stopped back by after the party to pick up the brunettes purse. "LEXIE." He yelled again, not knowing who he should attend to first. Quickly glancing at his best friends wife, he didn't see Erica reach for the scalpel and take a swipe at the Britney.

Hearing the dog yelp out in pain, Mark quickly turned his attention away from Arizona, seeing Erica moving to stand back up from the floor. Quickly deciding to stop her at all cost, he kicked her legs out from under her making her fall hard on her back again. Noticing the scalpel still in her hand, he then swiftly kicked her arm to get her to drop the tool, hearing a bone break in the process.

"OWWWWW... You fucker." She hissed out in pain.

"Lexie.." He yelled out again, quickly flipping Erica over so she couldn't get away. "I've always said you were fucking crazy."

"What's going..." Lexie yelled, running up the front porch when she heard Mark scream. "Oh god... oh god." She froze at the sight before her. Her friend, laying motionless on the ground with blood dripping from a gash on her stomach. Looking around, she saw Mark had someone pinned down to the floor, with broken wood and glass all around them.

"Call 911." Mark yelled, breaking her out of her shocked state. Fumbling for her phone in her back pocket, the brunette quickly called for the cops and an ambulance.

"Arizona." Lexie threw herself down to the floor to help the blonde. "What happened? Are you okay?" She searched the blonde over, seeing the cut wasn't bad at all. Quickly grabbing a towel, she pressed or to the wound to stop the bleeding. "Arizona. It's okay. You're okay." She tried to reassure the wailing woman. "Look at me." She said, grabbing the blondes jaw and turning her face to look at her. "What happened?"

"She.." Arizona tried to calm herself, looking around she saw both her dogs lying hurt on the floor and a new stream of tears came forth.

"Help is coming." Lexie reassured her. "You're safe now."

"She came into my house and shot me up with a paralytic. She tried to cut my baby out of my stomach. Her and Lauren. She's in on it too."

"Okay.. Okay..shh.." She tried to do sole her crying. "Where's Callie?" She looked around for any sigh of the brunette.

"I don't know." Arizona closed her eyes when she thought of her wife. She didn't want her to see her like this. "She was taking her family to the hotel."

"I'm going to call her okay."

"No. No." She pleaded. "If you call she'll panic and she's liable to wreck trying to get back here so fast. Please don't. I don't want to have to worry about her too. She'll be back soon. Please Lexie don't call her. Please."

"Okay."

"Please.. Don't let her drive to the hospital."

"She'll be back, she will and she'll go with you in the ambiance. If not, we'll take her. Okay. Don't worry about anything." She said, hearing sirens in the distance. "They're coming Arizona, you're going to be okay."

"My dogs." She cried, when she heard Charlie whimper in pain.

"Let me worry about your dogs okay. I'll get them some help." She said, looking over at the husky who had his eye on his owner. "Don't worry Arizona. You're going to be okay." She said, rubbing the dogs head, trying to comfort them too.

"Lexie." Mark said, fighting Erica to keep still. "Run outside and get the cops... hurry." He told his girlfriend. "Robbins, is anyone else here?"

"No, she said... Lauren was down the road waiting on her."

"Fuck, I can't believe Boswell is in on this too!" I bet she's hightailed it by now." He said, looking at the carnage around the room. "Fuck."

After seeing her family to their hotel room with a round of goodbyes, Callie went back downstairs and jumped in her jeep. Starting the car, she got this bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. She couldn't place it, but she sensed something wasn't quiet right. She couldn't tell if she was just getting sick or something worse, but either way, she pushed it out of her mind and ran to the ice cream shop to pick up her pregnant wife a sweet treat.

Pulling down her street, she saw flashing lights from ambulances and several cops cars blocking the streets. Turning down her music as she got closer, her stomach dropped when she saw people standing out in her yard. "Oh god." She said, seeing a paramedic shut the ambulance door. Pressing her foot on the gas, she sped her car into her drive way, squeling her tires.

"Arizona!" She yelled. Jumping out of the jeep, she ran full force until an officer tired to stop her. "Where is she?" She scanned the lawn not seeing her wife anywhere. "Arizonaaaa."

"Miss... No. You can't go in there, it's a crime scene." He chased her as she was halfway to her porch.

Hearing those words, caused her heart to feel like it was going to beat out of her chest. "This is my goddamn house." Callie yelled, skipping several steps as she ran through her front door of her home, seeing Mark and Lexie standing near lifeless dogs by the entrance.

"What... What the fuck happened? Where is she?" She asked looking at the puddles of blood and broken glass in her foyer. "Arizona? Baby?" She rushed into the living room expecting to see her wife sitting on the couch "Where is she?" She yelled, looking around. "Someone tell me." She screamed, looking at Mark and Lexie's quiet, stunned faces. She hadn't even registered she was crying until she felt the drops running down her neck.

"Callie.." Mark said, sympathetically.

"No.." Her voice broke. "No." She yelled louder, feeling her legs go weak.

"They're taking her to the hospital, she was attacked." Mark walked up to her.

"No." She grabbed her head, trying to make sense of what happened in the matter of thirty minutes. Taking a look around the room, she couldn't wrap her head around what was going on. Hearing the ambulance sirens start, Callie rushed out the door and ran as fast as she could. Jumping from the porch, she missed all six steps trying to catch the retreating bus. "Nooooo." She yelled, running out to the street. "Stop.. Please... don't leave me, Arizona.. Please." She yelled as they took her whole life away from her. "You promised me." Collapsing to her knees on the ground as the ambulance disappeared out of her sight. "You promised... Please.." She cried, doubling over. "Why?" She sobbed in the middle of the street. "No, Arizona... please God, not my girls." Just when her life couldn't get any better, something had to come in and knock her down on her ass again.

Callie is breaking my heart!
