A/N: Hey, sorry for long time no update! This chapter's pretty short as well, only because I had already written these first two chapters before I decided to post this on here and it's my first fanfiction, so I was just... finding my feet , I guess (I don't know what expression to use here...) I did add a bit to this chapter to make it a bit longer though! Anyway! On with the chapter! Oh yeah, and the chapters are gonna be alternating between the Doctor and Clara's point of view on something that happens. For example, if another character makes a bad decision or whatever, there would be a chapter about the consequences and aftermath of that decision from the Doctor's point of view and then another one from Clara's point of view. I hope this isn't too confusing! Feel free to tell me if it is! Also, feel free to tell me if it's just rubbish or things I could improve on! :)

Clara Oswald absent-mindlessly drums her fingers against the side of the TARDIS console as she scrolls through Facebook on her phone. She steals a look at the Doctor from the corner of her eye, curious as to why he is so quiet.

Usually, he would be rambling on about some distant planet and it's inhabitants, if there were any, or how humans were all such pudding-brains and always doing stupid things. As she glances over to where he is sitting, she sees him with his head in his hands, deep in thought. Times like this make her wonder what it would be like if she got even the briefest glimpse of what goes on inside his head sometimes.

Not wanting to disturb him, she leaves the Doctor to his thoughts and goes back to her phone, smiling slightly as she feels him looking across at her. She twirls a strand of hair around her finger as she pretends to be more interested in online quizzes than travelling the universe in an old blue police box.
