YES, that is the last of Erica as far as this story is concerned. You never know what their future may hold though! :)
Chapter 112
January 2017
I'm going to do this a little different than my wife taught me, yes, I said taught. I am not big on writing my feelings or thoughts down but since she gave me her journal on our wedding day, I told her I'd try. she's helped me along and to be honest, it does relieve stress sometimes. Not that I do this too often, but I try to manage to write big events. And this time I am going to write to the tiny human my lovely bride is currently baking in her oven. :) So.. here I go!
My precious little baby girl. We don't have a name for you yet, but don't worry Mama and I already discussed it and I promise we won't scar you with a name in Greek mythology or a state in our country. We'll give you a name to be proud of, I promise.
I was laying beside Mama last night, softly rubbing her belly just the way she likes it. When I reached down to give you a good night kiss and whisper I love you and I felt you for the very first time. You're not even here yet baby girl and you already have my heart. I'm so scared to be your Mommy, but I also can't wait either. I've wanted to be a mom my whole life and now that it's about time, I'm scared. I want to be a good mom to you. Your Mama says I'll be amazing, but she's the one that will be amazing. She's great at every thing she does. If I can be half as good as her, I'll be a pretty damn good mom. (You better not repeat after Mommy either. Do as I say, not as I do.)
Mama and I talked about you and what you'd look like and what type of personality you would have and we both came to the agreement that we didn't care as along as you were happy and healthy. Your Mama and I want you to know, baby, that you can do and be anything you want to be little lady. We will always support your choices as long as their well thought out and not too ridiculous. Listen to me preaching when I'm the one who went and bought a house for your Mama after one date with her. Sheesh! (Not regretted it for a second though.) I hope you think things out a little more than I did even, it was probably one of the best decisions I made or so Mama says. Goodness, that's enough of my rambling for now.
Always remember, I love you to the moon and back. Forever. And. Ever.
Love, Mommy
Arizona smiled after reading the sweet message Callie had written over six months ago. Flipping the pages, she came across her last entry. Taking the pen that marked her stop, she began to write what was on her mind.
June, 2017
Early this morning, I snuck out of the house after getting Mama to come and stay downstairs with the baby for a while. Callie could have kept an eye on her but I didn't want her to know I was leaving, so I left her asleep in the bed. She's so cute when she's sleeping. I wouldn't have had the heart to wake her up if I had too.
I'm trying to surprise her today so, I called in on Mamaw to help. I left the house for my six week checkup with Addison. My appointment wasn't until Monday, but Addison has some family business to attend to in New York. so she asked if I wanted to come in early. I snuck in without Callie knowing. That poor woman has been so on edge lately and if I'm being honest, I have been too. This is the longest we've ever gone without being intimate and it's getting to both of us. It's hard not being close to her, there is something about her that makes me want to just jump in her arms and cling to her for dear life. She makes me feel so safe when her arms are wrapped around me in a strong embrace.
She wrote as she glanced down several times at the sleeping brunette beside her. She couldn't believe that Callie had not woken up at all while she was gone, if she had, Barbara had never heard her while she was down stairs watching her granddaughter. Brushing the hair out of her wife's smiling face, Arizona went back to her journal while the woman beside her let out a soft sigh.
Anyway enough about what she makes me feel because I am currently not in a state to talk about it without wanting to wake her up and forgo my plans for today and ravish her gorgeous body now instead of later tonight. Addie gave me the all clear so I have planed a nice date for us and she is currently clueless. I'm not sure how she will feel about leaving Charlee with my parents for the night. Hell, I'm not sure how I will feel. I trust my parents with everything, but I don't know if I'm capable of leaving my mini Calliope with my mom and dad yet. I have a feeling Callie and I both will cry like babies when we leave her, but my wife needs this, I need this. We need a night together without having to be mommies. Not that being mommies is overwhelming, I just want tonight to be special for Callie because she has been so amazing while I was pregnant and even after, so I just want her to feel special and needed tonight. I can't wait to show her how much I appreciate how loving and caring she's been to me and Charlee.
Ahh.. Charlee, my precious princess. I can't believe how much I love that tiny human. I knew I'd love her but this.. It's just awe inspiring how much love I have for that little girl. It's mind boggling how much she looks like Callie. My mom said she looks so much like me, but all I see is my little Calliope. It's crazy to think she looks more like her than me. I see that she had a few of my features, like my dimples and face structure and eyes, but everything else is one hundred percent Calliope and I love it. She is going to be fighting the girls... or guys (eye roll) off her when she gets older. I wish she'd have brown eyes, but I can tell already they'll stay blue even though I keep teasing Callie that they'll be brown. I've seen enough babies already in my lifetime to determine what color they'll be after a little while and I'm almost certain they will be a beautiful sky blue just like Mama. :) Uh-oh.. my woman is starting to cuddle closer.. that means she's about to wake up. Until next time... A. Robbins
Throwing her journal on the nightstand Arizona laid down in bed beside her wife. "Calliope.." She whispered. "Wakey wakey sleepy head."
"Uhh-uh." She moaned, cuddling up to the blonde.
"Mmhmm.." Arizona hummed as she kissed her on her bare shoulder. "Wait..." She pulled back to look at her wife. She hadn't noticed Callie didn't have a shirt on until now. "Why are you naked?" She questioned.
"Why are you dressed?" Callie retaliated, feeling her wife's jeans against her legs.
"I asked first. Why are you naked?"
"I have undies on. Charlee spit up on me last night so after I put her back to sleep I came back here and threw my shirt in the hamper and got back into bed. I was tired and too hot to care if I was naked. Now your turn."
"It's ten in the morning, Callie, that's why I'm dressed."
"It is not." She mumbled, into her wife's chest. "Charlee usually wakes me up by seven, so it has to be six or a little after."
"Usually, but today she didn't. It's after ten Cal." She said snaking her hand under the covers and feeling her wife's panty covered ass. "I wanted to let you sleep later than normal today, but now you need to wake your sexy ass up." she said, smacking the Latinas behind.
"Owww.."
"You like that baby?"
"Don't." She whined. Callie was to tired to be playfully right now.
"Come on, babe ..." Arizona whispered. "Tell me you like when I smack that ass." She giggled when Callie turned away from her.
"No." She mumbled into her pillow.
"You better get your ass up and spend some time with your daughter." She said getting out of bed and leaving the room.
"Thirty more minutes." She mumbled, trying to get comfy again. She felt like she had just went to sleep ten minutes ago.
"Wake up." Arizona said, coming back into the room and sitting back down on the bed with her daughter in her arms. "Tell her pumpkin.." She kissed Charlees forehead. "Tell Mommy she better get her loves now, because she won't be able to later." She cooed, bouncing the baby in her arms.
"Why not?" Callie raised her head and peaked one eye open to look at her wife and daughter.
"Wake up and we'll tell you." She said, putting the baby's head close to the brunettes as Charlee grabbed a handful of brown hair and pulled. "Wake up, mommy."
"Ouch.."
"She wants to play Mom." Arizona giggled, laying beside her wife and child. "I have a day planned for you so I suggest you get some cuddles and kisses."
"What do you mean? Where's she going to be?" The brunette questioned as she rolled over and snuggled the infant to her chest.
"I have a special day planned for you and my mom and dad are going to keep this little munchkin."
"No... I don't want to leave her." She pouted, yet intrigued as to what Arizona had up her sleeve.
"I don't either.. believe me, I even cried a little this morning while I was feeding her. It's gonna be hard, but we need a day to ourselves to feel sexy again."
"Being a MILF is sexy." Callie grinned slyly at the blonde.
"Well this MILF." She gestured to herself. "Has a special day planned for that MILF." She pointed to her wife. "And after this morning, it's even more special." She said, pulling out her best dimpled grin.
"How so?"
"I won't name names, but a certain someone was given a clean bill of health about an hour ago." She said, laying flat on her back to relax.
"Really?" Callie asked, her attention solely on her wife at the moment. "How?" She was totally awake now.
"Yeah." She laughed at her wife eagerness.
"I... uhh... how.. I mean... why?" She said not paying attention as Charlee began to search for her milk supply on her chest. "No, no, no, baby." Callie said stopping her. "Mommy's bone dry, sweets. You need to roll over this way for the food bar."
"Addison saw me today because she has to fly back home to New York, so she wanted to know if I'd come in this morning." Arizona propped herself up in the bed and situated herself so she could feed the baby. "So what do you say? You think we can leave her?" She questioned, not sure of the answer herself.
Callie watched as the blonde took the baby in her arms to feed her. "That means... tonight they're mine?" She looked down to her wife's breast watching the baby latch on to her mother as she swallowed the lump in her throat.
"That means they're all yours tonight, if you still want them?"
"Hell yeah I do." She grinned, leaning up to kiss her. "What are we doing?"
"You'll see. But right now you and Charlee are going to have a bath together so we can kill two birds with one stone and then you're going to get dressed for your date."
"Date huh... this early?" Callie questioned.
"Yes, this early. I figured we'd be an hour or more at Mama and Daddy's saying goodbye to Charlee. It's already killing me knowing we're leaving her." She pouted.
"Ugh.. you're probably right." She said, sitting up in the bed. "So..I'm not trying to take away from missing my baby, but this date.. should I wear something casual or elegant?" She was sad about leaving the infant, but she was excited that her wife had planned something for them. 'God it's been way to long.' She thought.
"Nope." Arizona said as she softly caressed the baby's cheek while she drank her milk.
Callie waited for her wife to elaborate, but she never did. "Well? What do I wear?"
"I'll tell you what I'm wearing and you can go from there." Arizona smiled at her anxious wife. Callie was acting like a seven year old on her way to an amusement park. "I'm wearing my aviators, fedora, pink bikini and my teal sundress."
"Holy hell." Callie purred, just imagined her wife in the outfit. "So we're going swimming?"
"Uhh.. maybe, not necessarily." She shrugged.
"Tell me." She bit her bottom lip in anticipation. She had a slight inkling as to what her wife was going to say when she mentioned her swimsuit, but she wasn't sure because sometimes she was full of surprises. .
"I've made plans. Just you and I, no baby and no dogs to worry about. Not that I'm happy about leaving anyone, but I want this night to be only about you. You have been so amazing to me and I just want to spoil you tonight and to try to make you feel as loved as you make me and Charlee. So I'm taking you to a place where I'm going to make you a fancy dinner and we'll spend the evening surrounded by the stars, lightening bugs and each other."
"You don't have to go all out to make me feel special. I always feel special knowing that I'm the one who gets to sleep with you at the end of the day is all I need.. or that is if you'd quit falling asleep in the baby's room sometimes." She shrugged.
"I can't help it." Arizona laughed. "Sometimes I'm just so tired at the end of the day, the rocking lulls both of us to sleep. Plus I kinda enjoy having you make me go to bed." She winked.
"Just say it.. we're going to the river aren't we?"
"Why don't you just go get in the bath and I'll bring her to you when she's done." Arizona shoved her away playfully.
"Yes!" She exclaimed. "I knew it. I'm so gonna get laid at the river." She said, walking into the bathroom.
"Charlee sweetie, so far you act older than you mom." She teased as she fed her daughter.
"Hey, I heard that." Callie said, standing in the doorway still with only her panties on. "Give me about ten, fifteen minutes to wash, then you can bring her in."
"Okay." The blonde said, leaning back on headboard of the bed.
About twenty minutes after Callie went into the bathroom, Charlee was ready for her bath time. After burping and disposing of her diaper, Arizona handed her off to her wife to bathe as she packed the Land Rover for their little trip. She didn't pack many things, mainly a few covers and pillows and an ice box that held drinks and food for dinner she had stopped and purchased before coming back home this morning. An hour later Arizona had her family all packed and off to her parents house to drop their daughter off for the day and possibly night, just depending how they felt when the night drew near.
They had already spent over an hour telling Barbara and Daniel the same thing many times. If she couldn't get Charlee back to sleep all they had to do was sing to her or that she had to have her stuffed animal on her left side not on the right. The Mom's said she didn't like the shadow that it casts off the wall at night. Barbara thought that was silly, but after appeasing and listening to them ramble on and on, she told them she thought she could figure it out since she did raise two healthy kids of her own and that she thought that they could manage their granddaughter for one night.
After getting everything situated, they finally mustered up enough strength to leave the little Latina. Callie having to finally pulled her wife away from her parents house. She figured Arizona would be the one having to drag her away but come to find out she had to take control and lead her wife away.
"I don't know if I can do this, Callie." Arizona wiped her tears away after she got back in the drivers seat of heir vehicle.
"She'll be okay." She said, rubbing the blondes back. "Your mom and dad are perfectly capable taking care of her." Callie said, upset too that they were leaving her, but she knew if she showed it, Arizona would probably be worse.
"I know they are, but this is the first time leaving her for a long time without one of us. It didn't bother me to leave her for thirty minutes or an hour when one of us had to run to the store or the clinic, but this is different. What if she needs us and we're not there."
"Babe." Callie said, tearing up herself when she saw the look in her wife's eyes. "There will be plenty of times that she'll need us and we won't be there, but what matters is someone that cares for her just as much will be. She won't even miss us." She said, wiping the blondes tears away. "Please don't cry."
"I'm sorry." She shrugged. "I can't help it, she's my baby."
"Awe, I know. It's killing me too baby, but we'll have to eventually leave her for longer than thirty minutes at a time."
"I know." Arizona sniffed. "I knew it would be hard, but not this hard. Did you see her face, she knew we were leaving."
"No she didn't babe, that was her poop face. She's working a good one up for your mom." Callie tried to convince her that Charlee was going to be just fine.
"I don't know..."
"Okay, that's it." Callie reluctantly gave in and opened the door to get out of the car.
"Wha.." She dried her face. "Where are you going?" She placed her hand on her wife's thigh stopping her.
"I'm going to get our princess, we'll take her to the river and enjoy the day as a family."
"No. No." Arizona shook her head. "I'll be okay, I just needed to get it out now, we'll have to do this eventually, right? This is suppose to be a romantic day for us and it will stay that way." She interjected.
"But babe, I don't want you to be upset the whole time. We can take her, we'll just have to wait until tonight to make the most of our time."
"No I'm fine. See?" She smiled at her wife sadly. "Please, Calliope, I just want it to be us."
"Are you sure?" Callie sighed. "I don't care." She told her wife. "I mean, of course I care to spend time with only you, but we're moms now so sometimes we have to put our own needs..."
"Cal, I'm sure. Okay?" She stopped her. "Please, close the door." She said, taking the brunettes hand.
"Okay." She said, closing the door back. "Get us out of here." She said, looking up to the doorway of the house seeing Daniel holding the baby as he waved her little hand at her mothers.
"Just one more and then I'll be good to go." Arizona looked from the door to her wife.
"Thirty seconds and then that's it, we have to go." The brunette protested. "Deal?"
"Deal!" They both jumped out of the car to hurry and give their daughter one last goodbye kiss before they were in their way.
Fun and sexy times are on the way!
