"AAAAAAHHHHHHH!" Skoodge flew into a rack of SIR units, sending them falling onto the floor. Mimi was throwing the Irken around the room like a disc, somehow the vicious robot would always be at the spot Skoodge would land.

"Oh, oh, throw it to me!" Gir yelled in the background, waving his arms to signal he was open. Mimi complied and threw the Irken into Gir. The two collided and tumbled back into a wall.

Skoodge collected himself and looked at GIR, "SIR unit, I need help! We have to-ARRGH!"

Mimi pounced on Skoodge, slamming his head against the floor and began repeatedly slamming it. Gir stood there watching, not realizing the danger Skoodge was in. He just assumed Mimi was playing with a pig.

"Oh, let me play the piggy, too! Please!"

Mimi ignored her dumb counterpart. Gir walked closer to Mimi in order to make another plea, but Skoodge used the chance to grab Gir by the leg and swing him at Mimi, knocking her off.

"SIR unit, we must work together to defeat this robot," Skoodge said.

"Okay, pig!" Gir replied. Skoodge nodded and wielded Gir. He charged towards Mimi, who was still a bit stunned after being hit by Gir.

"HOOOO-HAAAAAAA!" Skoodge yelled as he swung Gir at the evil robot. He heard the clang of metal and the sound of Gir yelling in joy as he flew away from Skoodge's grasp, landing in a sea of deactivated SIR units. In one swift movement, Mimi have used her fist to punch Gir right out of Skoodge's hand, now leaving him defenseless. "...AAAAHHHHH!"

Skoodge ran as Mimi gave chase. She jumped towards him but he made his escape by diving into the sea of SIR units. Mimi began digging through the powerless robots but the Irken had already gotten away, the insect was swimming through cold metal below her. Mimi stood atop the deactivated robots. Slowly moving, trying to spot her prey.

Skoodge had distanced himself from the murderous bot and stayed motionless. He was an Irken, the best race in the universe, his innate pride refused to let him lose to a rampaging SIR unit. These moments of safety gave him time to think of a victory plan. He had to resort to guerrilla warfare, cheap tactics while using the environment around him to his advantage. He looked around, all he could see was useless, deactivated SIR units. He didn't have time to devise a well thought out plan, however, his moment came when he saw the figure of a red, SIR unit standing atop the robots that hid him.

Skoodge reacted quickly, reaching his hand out and grabbing Mimi's leg, pulling her under. Mimi was caught by surprised and Skoodge used her as leverage to climb out, stepping on the body of the SIR unit to push her even further into the pile. The Irken grabbed a powerless SIR unit and swung it at Mimi, but she was quick enough to block it with her monstrous arm. Skoodge made his retreat. Mimi tried to follow after but didn't have footing in the sea of SIRs, instead tripping and sinking deeper into it.

Skoodge retreated, running through atop the robots using his spider-legs, knowing he couldn't directly face Mimi, so he ran towards something that could possibly help him. He turned around and feared what he saw, a slight raise in the robot pile that was moving towards him. Mimi was had copied Skoodge's technique of swimming between the sea of SIRs, and he could see that Mimi was speeding up.

The slight raise that was chasing him disappeared, and Skoodge could find movement in the robots to detect where Mimi was, but he didn't stop running. He stopped looking behind him and face forward where he was suddenly choked. Mimi had gotten a lead and popped up in front of him, claw stretched out and aimed at Skoodge's head.

The spider legs were pushing Mimi's body away and Skoodge's hands were the only thing preventing Mimi's claws from slicing into the Irken's neck. Still, he felt the pressure of her grasp against his neck and it became increasingly difficult to breathe. He was so close, he needed to defeat Mimi, his Tallest depended on him.

Skoodge's spider legs removed themselves from Mimi's body and all struck the claw gripping the Irken. The four metal points pierced through the robot's shell and forced Mimi to release Skoodge. She pulled back, allowing him to run past her. Skoodge ducked under a broken console but Mimi caught a glimpse of the Irken slipping into his hiding spot. Mimi ran up and ripped the console from the ground, but was suddenly blinded.

"TACOOOOS! Give me your taco meat!" An inferior SIR unit had clung to her face, screaming the phrase over and over into her sound receptors as it attempted to claw its way into her head. Skoodge had spotted Gir under the console a while ago and was racing towards him. Once under, he told Gir that Mimi had Earth tacos inside her head, which made the robot launch himself at her upon sight.

Now distracted, Skoodge attacked Mimi, pinning her down with his spider-legs. One had pierced straight through Mimi's smaller arm, Skoodge noticed and took advantage of its weakened state. He pulled on it until it tore completely off. Sparks flew from the socket as Skoodge reeled back. Mimi felt the pressure of Skoodge lessen, she grabbed Gir from her face and swung him at the Irken. The two tumbled backwards once again. Mimi took notice of her missing limb, growing even more infuriated with Skoodge.

Mimi prepared her final strike at the phased Skoodge, pointing the claws on her remaining hand at him. She leapt forward with all the intention of ripping the Irken's head off. Skoodge didn't notice until Mimi was already in the air. Gir being on top of him prevent him from running or dodging, so he made a split-second decision. He grabbed Gir and used him as a shield. He heard the sound of piercing metal and saw a red liquid ooze onto the floor.

Mimi had pierced the top of Gir's head, however when she pulled out she found her hand covered in a red, sticky substance. Mimi looked confused, but a sudden spark on her arm made her alert. Skoodge's spider-legs had pierced the arm, causing the red liquid to seep into Mimi's circuits. The oversized robot arm began twitching as smoke erupted from it. The arm stopped moving, and Mimi watched as her hand blew up right in front of her, leaving only a stubby arm.

Skoodge stood up, still holding onto Gir, and readied himself just in case Mimi was still crazy enough to attack. However, the red SIR unit found the situation far too unfavorable and retreated, running into the sea of Sir units and disappearing. Tired and weary, Skoodge decided not to give chase and let Mimi flee.

"SIR unit, I cannot expressed enough gratitude for your liking to store things within your head," Skoodge said to Gir.

"I can't feel my brain!" Gir replied, the red sticky substance leaking around his face. Skoodge saw that Mimi had left quite a hole in Gir's head. He got an identical SIR unit and fitted the lid of its head onto Gir, making him as good as new.

"That was Earth jelly, right, SIR unit?"

"It was syrup."

"...Let's get out of here." Skoodge walked to the hole he and Gir had created, it was just short enough for him to peek over after creating steps from piling SIR units.

Skoodge could still see that the battle of Moose and Resistance still going, but Daj's Resistance group was being pressed. He saw that waves of injured Moose warriors kept arriving to replace their fallen comrades while Daj and Dwicky had no reinforcements left.

"We're in a predicament Gir, we won't be able to win this battle when our numbers keep dwindling," Skoodge said.

"Then let's make new friends!" Gir replied.

"It won't be so simple, Gir, we lack the beings in order to form a second wave of reinforcements." Skoodge was thinking of Irk's resources and if there was any possible thing left in this city that could prove useful to them, then he spotted Gir, playing with a deactivated SIR unit, intrigued by the fact that it looked exactly like him. "That's it, Gir! You're a genius!"

"Yes we are!"

Skoodge ran to the main console of the facility and rebooted the system. After plugging his PAK into the console, the system recognized his status as Invader and gave him full access. From there he was able to find the sequence that would let him activate the SIR units within the facility, but he hit a roadblock.

"Drat, SIR unit, all these robots don't have A.I. installed on them, and I'm unqualified to program new ones!" Skoodge said as he slammed his fist.

"This piggy looks just like me!" Gir said, uncaring of Skoodge's troubles. However he just gave the Irken an idea. Skoodge dragged Gir over to the console and plugged a cable inside his head.

"I may not be able to program new A.I. from nothing, but I do know how to copy and paste data several thousand times."

"Kor! Some help! Please!" Dib had gotten himself constricted by a Moose-Fefian mutant, this one almost snake-like. The limbs were nothing but deformed nubs and it head was that of a moose. It had no eyes, just empty sockets with blue goo oozing out and an elongated body that was the same as Kor's. Like a python, it had wrapped Dib up and opened its jaw, it had no teeth but that didn't stop it from softly chewing Dib's head.

The Fefian Snake Moose reeled its head back and opened its jaw wide, preparing to swallow Dib whole. Dib closed his eyes when he felt ooze splatter over his face. Kor had shot the moose in the head with a blaster while she was also being bound by two moose that were nothing but a head attached to a Fefian arm. She had freed her arm enough to kill Dib's moose. Dib, now free, ran to Kor and used his laser-blade to cut the arms, freeing his comrade. Dib helped Kor to her feet, but watched in horror as the moose arms that Dib had cut were regenerating. Immediately, Kor shot the two deformities in the head.

"Brains, Dib! Hit them in the brain! It's still part moose!" Kor yelled.

"Right, the zombie rule," Dib remarked, "Man, I hate genetic splicing."

The two stood back to back, the floor growing wetter from the moose blood, blue from all the mutations. There was little light in the room, with the only sources being Dib's blade, Kor's gloves, and a few consoles, one of which was charging the Fefian's boots, the duo's only reliable escape from this.

"How much longer do your boots need charging?" Dib asked.

"Should be done within ten minutes," Kor replied, "Think you can survive for that long?"

"Some more light would help, we're completely open for an ambush."

"AHH!"

"Kor!" Dib turned around to see Kor struggling with another moose monstrosity, but this one was small. It was a squishy orb no bigger than Dib's fist, except it had four extremely pointy antlers protruding from it and it had lodged itself in Kor's face. Dib quickly reacted by slashing at the creature, cutting its body in half, but the antlers remained lodged in her face.

Kor was trying to rip the antlers from her face while screaming in agony, but the antlers were hooked in. From the shadows, more antlered orbs flew towards Dib and Kor, but each were cut down by Dib's laser-blade. Kor let out a giant screech, finally getting the antlers off her face, but they took her eyes with them.

"Holy FEF! Dib, where are you?!" Kor screamed in confusion as the pain of having her eyeballs detached coursed through her.

Dib was distracted for a second by Kor's outburst and missed an antler orb, but was quick enough to avoid getting hit by it, however it had attached itself to Kor's arm.

"ARRGH! Seriously? Dammi-ARRGH!"

Dib wasn't thinking clearly. When the antlers dug itself onto Kor again he sliced towards it, cutting off her arm in the process. The severed hand landed in a stream of water and blood that flowed down the room. Dib watched Kor's glove light up the room as it went by, slowly revealing the dozens of Fefian-Moose she had released.

"Dib, what's happening? Dib!" Kor yelled, waiting for her eyes to regenerate. She felt a pull on her arm, initially thinking it was another moose but realized that it felt like a human hand. Soon she was forced to run in an unknown direction. "Dib, where are we going?"

"Doesn't matter, just run!" Dib ran opposite the way they entered, as the original path was crawling in moose mutants. Miraculously, Dib found another room and immediately hopped the sideways door into it, taking Kor with him.

"What was that?" Kor asked, her eyes and arm fully regenerated.

"...fear...mostly," Dib spoke, out of breath.

"No, I got that you ran away because something freaked you out. I meant what happened with my arm!"

"...a moos-"

"It was you, wasn't it?"

"Yes."

Kor let out a sigh, "At least you got that freak-moose off me. Come on, let's figure out where we are."

The room was definitely smaller than the last one, with tighter walls. The room was even darker than the last one and offered zero visibility except from the glow of Kor's remaining glove. The floor was covered with some sort of dry, rubbery material, but at least it wasn't wet.

"I'm pretty sure we're in their broom closet or something," Kor said.

"Doesn't that mean we're stuck-OW!" Dib stood up and hit his head. Kor brought her glove closer to Dib to see what he had hit. "Oh crap, more pods!"

"Calm down, Dib, these seem different from the ones the moose came from." Dib realized Kor was right, these pods were smaller, even he'd have trouble squeezing into one. They weren't as translucent and despite the pod he had hit being slightly ajar, there were no traces of liquid.

"Hey Kor, shine your glove over there," Dib had noticed something written close to the bottom of the pod but needed more light for it to be literate. "Fefian – 001."

"What?!" Kor said in disbelief. She took a closer look and confirmed Dib's words for herself. "This must be where they stored the Fefians."

"What are you talking about?"

"The files I read said the Employer had visited Fefa, they also abducted the Fefians to conduct experiments on our unique biology, hence the moose mutants. This has to be the room they were all stored in."

Dib was still curious about one thing, he put he hand on the door of the pod and pulled it down, completely opening it, but nothing fell. "Where do you think they are?"

"What?"

"The Fefians, they're immortal, meaning they should have survived the crash, right?"

Kor gripped her glove, feeling for the vial that was inside, it was the one that contained the Fefian-killing serum that the moose on Vort had used in an attempt to kill her. "The moose had developed a liquid that could kill Fefians, they need test subjects."

"Sure, but they couldn't have killed all the Fefians. If the Employer was making a moose mutant army, he'd need at least one Fefian to be a renewable source."

"Even if they were alive what would be the point?"

"They could help us!"

"Dib, they're Fefians, they couldn't care less about themselves, much less others."

"We can at least try to search, the other option is to come back where we came from."

Kor, wanting to delay another eye-gouging, complied with Dib's desire to search for her people. They continued down the long room with Kor's glove raised to spot the pods. Almost all of them were opened, the ones that weren't had the door torn off by Kor. Finally they reached the end of the room, and the last closed pod. Kor opened the pod, expecting nothing just like the others, she got her worst nightmare. Something dropped from the pod and made a wet, sloppy sound on the floor.

Kor brought the light closer to it and palmed her face in disgust. Dib was the first to notice, "Hey Kor, isn't that your-"

"Shut up, Dib," Kor said, not wanting Dib to confirm her fear.

"Kory! It's you! Oh, how great it is to see my daughtery again!" Of all the Fefians to fall out the pod, it was Kor's least favorite, her dad, Blarby, who had proceeded to hug her.

"Dad, please, don't hug me, especially when you're naked."

The adult Fefian wasn't wearing his attire that Dib had last seen him in, but it didn't bother the being. Despite being a prisoner on a moose ship for who knows how long, the being wore a huge grin. Kor freed herself from his grip.

"Okay, well that was terrible. I'm gonna do something only a quarter as terrible now," Kor turned around with the intent of getting her eyes gouged again. Dib grabbed her arm to prevent her from leaving.

"How'd you get captured, Blarby?" Dib asked.

"Welly, it all right after Kory sent her presenty..." Blarby began.

"NO! We're not having a flashback now!" Kor interrupted, "My present didn't kill anyone. Moose came, captured, experimented, the end!"

"Wowy, you're so smarty, Kory!" Blarby moved in for another hug but Kor was able to repel his affection.

"Alright, so where are the other Fefians? You guys can't die, so where did they all go?" Dib asked, pointing down the line of pods.

"I told you, killed as test subjects for the Fefian-killing serum!" Kor replied.

"Oh, almost correcty. That's only ninety percenty righty, but that's still an awesome grady!" Blarby said, "Yes, some were killed by the serumy, but they only needed enough to shipy to their friendy on Vorty."

"That...actually makes sense. So how does the serum actually kill us?"

"It decomposes oury body so we can't regeny."

"Hey, that means we can use it on those moose," Dib said, "Do you know where anymore of it is?"

Blarby shrugged, "I never saw much of ity."

Dib sighed in disappointment while Kor returned to questioning her dad, "So the other Fefians..."

"Mosty were kept alive for the moosey to extract oury bloody. We were kept in the pody, liquidy extracted everyday, and with no foody our regeny systemy slowed."

"What? It does that?"

"Yes, actually, all the Fefians are righty herey." Blarby pointed downward. Kor lowered her glove and saw the dry, rubbery fabric they had been stepping on. It was gray and wrinkled, but had a thickness to them. Dib saw the edge of one of them and picked it up, but immediately dropped it once he saw that it was humanoid in shape.

"I didn't know we could die from blood loss!"

"Welly, they're not really deady, it's more like lifeless husky, unable to regenerate."

"Why are you so healthy then?" Dib asked, noticing that aside from the lack of clothes, Blarby still looked the same as he did when they first met.

"Oh, I atey some of the Fefians." Blarby's eternal smile only made Dib more disturbed.

"Dad, you're a selfish jerk," Kor said, "Now can we lock him back up? He's obviously of no help to us."

"Helpy? Of coursey I'll helpy!"

"Come on, Kor," Dib started, "He might know some sort of secret weakness from being on the ship for so long."

"Oh, I know the moosey weaknessy, alrighty."

"Really? Tell us!"

"Their weaknessy is...they die!"

"So useless," Kor responded. She turned around and walked away. Dib followed soon after, realizing that Kor was probably right.

"Maybe your dad can help us fight," Dib said, "He'd be willing considering how much he loves you."

"Love? Dib, my dad doesn't love me."

"Isn't that the angsty, teenage goth in you talking?"

"No, it's impossible for him to love me. He's a natural Fefian, he feels no pain, no sadness, no anger, no love, only joy. He reacts to me just as he would any other Fefian younger than him, I just happened to be the Fefian that was around him the most."

"That's sounds pretty harsh."

Kor stopped and faced Dib, "My dad physically abused me as a kid and ate my mother. I was once lost, blown away by a freak tornado and lost for a week, I had to make my way back home to a being that didn't even wonder where I went! He and all the other Fefians are beings with zero empathy or feeling. Right, dad?"

Kor shifted her gaze from Dib to the tall Fefian that had been trailing behind them since the beginning. He still wore a smile despite Kor's harsh words and replied, "You're always right, daughtery!"

"Why did I have to grow up in a world where no one cares whether or not I'm even there anymore?"

"That's hilariousy, Kory! Now give me a hugy!" Blarby moved forward to embrace his daughter but tripped and fell on the floor. Dib pulled his leg back.

"Thanks, Dib. I'm sorry for blowing up like that."

"It's fine. You have a terrible dad and lived on a crappy planet. It's not exactly unique to you, but at least you won't have to go through it again."

Dib shot a smile at Kor and she shot one back. "Jeez, when did you become the sane one between us?"

The two continued forward, stepping over the Fefian that would eventually accompany them as they contemplate a plan to battle the mutant moose. They had to retrieve Kor's boots and escape this sick lab before the rest of their crew end up dead.

Daj had made a makeshift bunker from the corpses of moose in order to hide behind. Beside him were Kry, Dwicky, and the two Plookesians he had fought with before, but never had any felt so close to death. This battle wasn't suppose to be this difficult, but for once Daj felt like this was too much.

"What do we do?" Spoopti said.

"We're hugging moose corpses while their numbers keep growing and ours keep decreasing," Daj said, "I guess we fired blindly backwards and hope we hit one."

"It'll be alright, Daj, we'll win as long as we keep believing!" Dwicky replied optimistically.

"Hey, as long as we live, that counts as winning in my book," Mooshy said.

"Too bad you can't read, Mooshy," Spoopti said. The Two plookesians and Dwicky gave a small laugh. Daj was a bit bothered by their lack of distraught but past experiences had made him used to it.

"Daj watch out!" Dwicky tackled Daj as the metal blade of a one-armed moose stabbed the spot Daj was sitting in. Dwicky released Daj and turned towards the attacker, holding onto the overextended arm of the moose to prevent any counterattack as he shot it in the face with a laser pistol. "Whew, gotta be more alert there, Daj."

"Thanks, Dwicky," Daj said. However, the one moose was followed by more, and their cover had been compromised. The five were surrounded by moose warriors. The five turned their backs towards each other, forming a pentagon with their weapons drawn and ready.

"I know this situation looks grim, and logically most if not all of us will die very soon," Dwicky said to his fellow warriors, "However, I one-hundred percent believe that we'll all live through this!"

"Haha, you're a riot, Dwicky," Spoopti said, "but I'll believe with ya."

"I like believing, so I'll do it too," Mooshy said. Even Kry gave an approving grunt.

"Thanks guys," Dwicky said before looking over at Daj.

The Darvon sighed, "Yeah, alright, I'll believe too, wouldn't hurt."

The first moose took a step forward, but stopped when he felt his hoof hit something metallic.

"Hi, moose, may I have the taco meat in your head?" said a small, cyan robot. The moose paused a bit in confusion, as did Daj and the others, before the moose kicked the robot away. With the robot out of the way, the moose began his attack but was stopped once again by a small robot that had gotten itself on his head.

"Look at your head nubs, they're so pointy!"

Soon more cyan robots appeared on the other moose, all saying or doing something that heavily annoyed the moose warriors.

"What a big nose you have!"

"Do you know Pig?"

"Oooo, what's that?"

"Gimme your taco meat!"

"Where are your toes?"

The robot on the first moose annoyed him so much, he began swinging his arm blade at it, but he missed and ended up stabbing himself in the brain. He fell over and blood poured through the wound.

"Aww, that ain't taco meat. Imma go ask the moose over there!" The robot said before skipping off.

"Wow, this believing stuff is great!" Mooshy said, "I should do it more!"

Daj was only stunned at what just happened. Hundreds, no, thousands of little robots that looked like Gir were suddenly on the battlefield, all attacking the moose warriors, giving the remaining resistance members the advantage to take the battle. Overhead, a midget Irken glided until he dropped in front of Daj, holding Gir on his back.

"Skoodge! What's going on?" Daj asked his Irken comrade.

"I found a SIR unit facility and activated all of them, however I had to use an existing AI for all of them, with one difference: they all believe there's taco meat inside moose heads," Skoodge answered. "Now, I must use your comm in order to reach my Tallest. Mine was broken after I crashed."

"Oh, the comm links went dead after the drone's message."

"What?! What did he say?!"

"He defeated the Employer."

"Yes, I knew my Tallest wouldn't fail!"

"But he got cut off." Skoodge didn't like the sound of that. Usually, dead comm links was an ominous sign for worse things to come.

"I have to see him!" Skoodge decided before attempting to run off. He was stopped by Daj.

"Hold it mini-drone, I'm coming too."

"Ah, Daj, I see you have grown concerned about your commander as well."

"No. To be honest, I'm concerned about Dib, I didn't hear him over the comm at all."

"Very well. We should be faster with your transport anyway," Skoodge said referring to Kry.

"Dwicky, lead the troops," Daj said before mounting Kry.

"You got it, Daj! Hey guys! Let's win this!" Dwicky said to the remaining resistance, instantly boosting their morale as they all gave out a battle cry before charging off.

Daj, Skoodge, and Gir all got on Kry's back and the four-legged Darvon stormed off towards the Mothership in hope of finding their comrades.

"See anything?"

"Everything's still as dark as before, it'd be suicide to walk through there!" Dib and Kor had reached the door that connected the Fefian storage with the main lab where all the moose were. Dib was peeking over the edge in order to scout anything out. "I can barely make out your boots."

"Maybe we should send out a decoy," Kor glanced at Blarby who stood next to Dib.

"Wouldn't that just get your dad maimed?"

"We'd be better off." Dib shot a disapproving look at Kor. "Fine. I actually have an idea."

"Is it the thing you spent the last thirty minutes building?"

"Yeah." Kor held a strange object between two pieces of dried up Fefian skin. It looked like a bunch of scrap metal connected to a bunch of wires.

"What is it?"

"It's a bunch of metal attached to a bunch of wires."

"You spent thirty minutes on that?"

"It was dark. Anyway, it's pretty much a conductor. There's still electricity running through this ship, however faint, so I grabbed all the cables in the walls and pretty much had them all connect into this piece of metal."

"Wouldn't that just make all the electricity short circuit?"

"Well it didn't so it's safe to assume there's tons of volts running through this thing."

"Okay, so you're gonna throw it in the room and electrocute all the moose using the water on the floor as a conductor, right?"

"Right, we're gonna fry their brains. However..."

"However what?"

"We have to get the boots first before we drop the voltage bomb."

"Great."

"If we just drop this thing in, there's a good chance it'll fry my boots too."

"And our chances of getting to Gaz." Dib let out a sigh and activated his laser-blade. "This is going to hurt."

"Most likely, now give me a minute. Dad, come over here." Kor motioned for Blarby and he enthusiastically moved towards her. Before he could even say anything, Kor shoved the metal bomb onto Blarby. "Stay here until I shout for you, then walk out."

"You got it daughtery!" He replied.

"You ready, Dib?"

"Let's go." Dib jumped over the door entrance. Kor followed and took the lead since she would survive any sudden attack. Their feet sloshed through the wet floor of the lab, trying as much as possible to not make much noise with their movement. Their glove and blade lit up a small radius around them, it was barely enough to give them time to react to an ambush. However, nothing jumped at them and they moved closer to Kor's boots without much opposition.

"This is too quiet," Kor said.

"Hold it," Dib held Kor's shoulder to get her to stop.

"What?"

"Look down."

Dib pointed towards a strange being that was near their feet. Kor almost attacked it but realized it was lifeless. It was one of the mutant moose, one with a moose head but the lower half was Fefian as were its two front limbs. It wasn't one they came across before. What scared them was the chunk of the moose cranium that was missing, and the chunks of the body that were missing as well. Something was eating it.

Before Dib could say anything about the carcass, he saw a ripple in the water. They appeared rhythmically, Dib knew exactly what they meant.

"Moose!" He yelled to Kor. She braced herself and a second later a mutant rushed them. This one was only a blob for a body with four moose legs. It jumped up and tried to slam its blob body at the two but they jumped out of the way.

It turned towards Dib and jumped him. The water caused him to slip and prevented his escape and the moose slammed him. The moose began to repeatedly press itself on Dib. He tried to stab the moose in the brain between presses but couldn't find its location within the blob. Kor ran up to the moose and punched one of its legs off, causing it to topple over. Dib got up and could see the brain in the lower quarter of the moose's body, and stabbed it, causing it to go motionless.

Dib and Kor decided to run towards the boots, they've had enough of these moose and wanted to decrease their chances of facing the moose that ate the other ones, they knew what cannibal moose meant. Along their run they faced smaller moose mutants; creatures with only a head and two legs, a moose that was normal on the top half and Fefian on the bottom half, a moose with eight blob legs. Kor would swat or punch away any moose that jumped towards them, and if they were within reach, Dib would stab towards their head, hoping for a killing blow.

They were almost to the console that held Kor's boots when Kor was suddenly attacked. A moose head that was half blob suddenly appeared from above bit off Kor's glove-less arm. As she began regenerating, it returned for a second bite, but Dib sliced the neck causing the head to fall. Dib stabbed the fallen head to be safe but was surprised when he saw the moose regenerating from the neck stem he had left behind. The brain was not within its head.

Kor made a break for her boots before the weird moose could regenerate but was stopped by the same type of moose, snapping its jaws in front of her. Soon she found herself surrounded by a group of them. They started their attack on Kor, trying to bite into her Fefian flesh but she punched them away, some hard enough to completely blow their heads off. Despite her efforts, the moose would just regenerate from her blows.

Dib had to find a way to stab their brains, so he jumped on the first vine-like moose they faced. The rest of its body was elastic but furry enough for him to have a grip on the creature's body. As he went up he would stab the portion of its body below him in case the brain was there. The body grew aware of Dib's actions and began to swing in an attempt to shake him off. Dib held on and kept climbing until he reached a bulge in the body surround by four deformed, stubby limbs. Dib stabbed into it and felt the moose body grow limp, he had found the brain.

Dib saw the light of Kor's glove below him, Kor was fighting with everything she had just to keep the moose off her, but they were able to get a few chunks of her off. Dib began swinging the moose body like a rope, aiming towards the cluster that surrounded Kor. He leaped blindly towards them and luckily caught on one of the moose. His body slid down from the force and his hand burned from the friction between it and the fur, but he braked when his foot hit the bulge that would contain the brain. He reached out and found the next moose body and repeated his assault on their brains. One by one the moose around Kor died, but it didn't allow Kor to relax as more mutants moved towards her.

Finally Dib got the last vine moose. He yelled for Kor to grab her boots. Leaping onto the console and grabbing her gear, Kor found herself surrounded by moose mutants. She followed Dib's example and grabbed onto one of the vine moose's body and climbed up. The two safe from any imminent harm, Kor yelled, "DAAAAAAAAD!"

The yell echoed through the lab, and was instantly recognized by the Fefian that was on standby. He rushed out from his room, metal, wires, and electricity within his grasp. Once he touched the wet floor it lit up with electricity. The consoles that had remained lit throughout the crash blew up, the moose mutants screeched in pain as the current ran through their brains, frying them until they were lifeless.

It was over in a flash, the only objects that retained their light were Dib's blade and Kor's boots and glove. The two wondered it if was still safe to climb down when they heard a voice rang out.

"Kory! I'm herey!" Blarby, as invincible as ever, had reached them, apparently unaffected by the electrocution. Kor didn't hear anything moving around him, so she assumed all the moose were dead. She slid down to her dad, pulling the wires and metal from his body, they were completely dead as well. She landed on the floor and called for Dib also.

"You're pretty smart when you need to be, Dib," Kor complimented.

"Thanks," Dib replied, "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, would've been better off with my second glove though."

"Oh, I knowy where ity is!" Blarby shouted. He ran back a little and stopped at a pile that glowed faintly. He pulled back a slab of rubble and revealed Kor's glove, surrounded by moose corpses. "I saw ity when I ran by!"

The glove appeared to be suspended in midair and was slightly discolored, as if behind some sort of transparent surface. The light displayed the moose carcasses surrounding it, which had bite marks similar to the one they found earlier. Dib and Kor immediately realized what it was. Before Kor or Dib could say anything, a deep roar bellowed from Blarby's location. The glove moved. Dib and Kor watched as a massive blob-head lurched forward, revealed by the light of the glove within its stomach. It brought its jaws down, chomping onto Blarby and swallowing the his entire body. The top and lower half of Blarby moved through the moose until it was visible through its transparent stomach. Blarby still retained his smile.

The monster began moving forward, revealing parts of its body from the glow in its stomach. It was an obese blob, with moose fur patched throughout the body. The four limbs were lumbering blobs that barely looked like they were able to hold up the creature. Its neck almost absorbed into the body, the head was a massive moose-shaped blob half the size of the body, its antlers dropping down the sides from the weight of the hardened objects. Despite its heavyset frame, it was able to lunge forward with its head, attempting to continue his feast as he aimed towards Dib and Kor.

The two dodged the attack and quickly ran behind cover. The moose didn't give chase and instead chose to consume the vine moose that Dib had defeated earlier.

"Why do we get another giant moose?" Dib said, "And the king of freak moose at that."

"That stupid thing is blocking the exit," Kor said as she put on her boots, "We can try to maneuver around it, though."

"Hey, is your dad alright?"

"Of course he is, he's a numb immortal."

"No, look!" Dib pointed towards Kor's glove that lit up the two pieces of Blarby's body. Kor watched in astonishment as instead of regenerating, Blarby began to dissolve within the beast.

"Oh Fef."

"Kor, is your dad...dying?"

Kor thought back to her childhood, to the day when she watched her father eat her mother right in front of her. She continued to watch as the remaining parts of her dad faded away, until finally, he was nothing. "Damn! Stupid moose is more Fefian than I thought."

"Do you have any ideas?"

"I-I don't know." Kor couldn't think clearly, she had a strange feeling inside her. It prevented her from thinking or moving and she seemed to freeze up.

"Kor? Kor!" Dib shook Kor back and forth to try to break her out of her freeze, but it didn't seem to have much effect. "Do you still have that Fefian killing serum?"

"Huh-Y-yeah." Kor pulled the vial out of a compartment of her glove. It was about a ten centimeters long and approximately a centimeter and a half in diameter. Dib took it from her and tried to reassure her.

"As long as that thing is part Fefian, this thing should work on it, right?" Kor didn't respond. "Alright, I'll be back."

"Wait!" Kor grabbed onto Dib's arm as he got up to leave, "You can't really believe you can face that thing?"

"Well we can't hide here forever."

"Sure we can."

"Kor, it's alright. I'll live and stop that monster. Trust me." Dib shot a smile at Kor. Slowly, she let go of his arm and he walked out from behind cover and walked towards the moose. Truthfully he had no set plan in mind, just to get the moose to consume the vial, but he had to be confident in front of Kor. She was an immortal that could feel pain, but she never feared it, she always played off her pain like it was an inconvenience. She just watched a Fefian die in front of her. The feeling was still new to her. Dib was more experienced, after all, he's had those feelings on a daily basis.

Dib had his blade raised and the vial in his other hand. The moose was still feasting as he approached, but he stopped moving once he saw the moose freeze. Dib moved back when the beast began turning around, Dib prepared himself to dodge and attack. It bellowed once again and the jaws of the moose moved towards Dib. He quickly leaped backwards and the moose head completely missed him, slamming onto the floor, but something was wrong.

The moose was motionless and Dib wondered what happened. It was worse than he imagined. The moose's body began morphing, it was mutating. It's two front limbs became elongated and fingers sprouted from them. It's head moved back up and remained in a more upright position. Its moose eyes moved from the side of its head to straight in the front and morphed into the same kind of eyes as Kor's. It began roaring in short bursts, the interval between shouts grew increasingly shorter and shorter, until its speech was finally comprehensible.

"Fef-Fefians! M-Must eaty!" It spoke with the same speech habits as Blarby, and picked up his eating palette. It then moved towards the area Kor had hid in, much to Dib's horror.

"Hey! HEY!" Dib shouted at the creature in order to draw its attention, but he wasn't able to. He picked up a piece of scrap metal and threw it, but the metal was just absorbed into its body. Dib couldn't let the monster get to Kor. He rushed the monster, jumping onto its back and he began rapidly stabbing wherever he could. His shots went unnoticed and the wounds barely bled before they healed completely. The monster removed the rubble that hid Kor with its hand.

"Kory, I foundy you." It said in a deep, bellowing voice. When Kor turned towards the direction of the voice she was shocked and froze up, too scared to even move an inch. It opened its jaws wide at Kor, causing her to fall on her back, but she didn't take her eyes off the moose. She thought it was over when the moose shrieked in pain. Dib had successfully climbed to the head and stabbed its cranium, however it wasn't a killing blow. The moose rocked back and forth and shook its head until Dib was thrown off and collided with a wall. The moose returned to Kor who was trying to escape by crawling backwards, but stopped when her back hit a dead end. The moose striked.

"NO!" Dib yelled, but it was too late. The moose swallowed and Kor was eaten. "God dammit!"

Dib couldn't believe it. He slammed his fist into the ground. One of his friends was just eaten right in front of him, a friend he had reassured she'd make it through this. He told her he would stop this monster but he had been nothing more than a nuisance to it. Dib looked up and saw Kor within the beast's body; she was moving back and forth as much as possible, she was still struggling. Kor hadn't given up yet, and neither should he.

Dib made another rush at the beast, but was swatted away by its massive arm. He tried again but was stopped by the head this time.

"Oh, humany, you looky tasty!" It said to him. Dib had to do something quick, Kor was beginning to dissolve just like her dad. Dib still held onto the vial, but he couldn't use it even if he had the opportunity; the serum would most likely kill Kor along with the moose if he did. The beast moved towards Dib and opened its jaw at Dib, that's when he saw it, an opening. He held his breath.

Dib jumped into the beast's mouth, moving his way down the throat. The massive moose was confused at first, wondering what the strange taste in his mouth was. Dib reached the stomach where Kor was, and she was shocked to see him with her. Dib let the serum float freely and grabbed Kor. He cut through the body of the moose with his blade and made a huge gash from within. He threw Kor out and grasped the vial again, crushing it before jumping out.

When Dib landed he heard the moose groan in pain as his meals just left his stomach. Dib was breathing heavily, trying to catch his breath as the moose raised its arm to squish Dib. As the moose swung, its arm fell off, crashing right beside Dib. Soon it was followed by the other limbs, the serum had taken quick effect. The body and the head of the moose blob began melting. It gave out one last roar before becoming a puddle of Fefian blood and moose fur.

Dib was glad at it being over. He turned around to look for Kor but was shocked when he was met with a sudden hug.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you," Kor said in quick succession to Dib.

Dib was a little embarrassed but responded back, "Uh, yeah, no problem."

Kor pulled herself back. "I'm sorry, I was so useless, you had to save me by yourself. You could've easily left me."

"I'm your friend, leaving you to die didn't even cross my mind." Kor let out a small smile as Dib got up. He picked up the glove that was within the beast and gave it Kor while helping her up. "Let's get out of here."

The duo made their way out of the lab, rejoiced to never having to enter that room again. They retraced their tracks back to the hole where they fell. With her boots fully charged, Kor and Dib could now begin their climb back to Zim and Gaz. Dib grabbed a hold around Kor as she prepared to jump when a voice was heard from Kor's glove.

"It is done! Despite your claims of my failure, it is I, Zim, who stands victorious over the Employer!" It was Zim, he had opened the channel within the comm links. Zim began rambling on about his victory but Dib and Kor paid no attention. They couldn't believe it, Zim had defeated their target. It was over. Dib felt overjoyed, but noticed that Gaz's voice wasn't heard, she would've stopped Zim's speech by now if she was with him.

"That's great, drone! Too bad we still got freaking moose down here to deal with!" It was Daj, yelling at Zim. Dib was glad to hear he was still alive.

"Silence, lizard-stink! I will deal with your pitiful failure to lead the battle like I dealt with-"

The voice cutoff, immediately Dib felt unease settle within him.

"Something's wrong," He said, "Zim would never cut himself off."

"Then we'd better get to him and Gaz quickly then," Kor said. She jumped upwards with Dib around her. She strode up the walls, the two hoping the situation wasn't as bad as they thought it was.

Tak hated humans. They were just stupid creatures. Dumb beasts who decided they were better than the other Earth creatures because they knew how to hold a spoon. They had the technology to expand but only served to bring their planet closer to ruin while growing oblivious to their surroundings. Humans did stupid things like wasting their time on leisure instead of advancing their military power, keeping beasts as toys instead of training them to kill, and drowning their meats with every sauce available. She was better than them, she was Irken, she was stronger, she was faster, she was smarter, so the thought of a stupid human making her bleed was incomprehensible.

In front of Tak was one of these stupid humans, barely standing, her natural red liquids bleeding through her bandages. The human held nothing in her hands, but still balled them into a fist. Her posture was poor and it was obvious that she lacked the energy to fight. Still, the human held a steady glare at her. It was the glare Tak had seen for years. The glare that the human would give others whenever they had crossed her, whether it be other humans, Dib, or Zim. It was a signal to tell the receiver that pain would follow. Gaz still intended to fight. It pissed Tak off.

Tak approached Gaz, walking slowly and unarmed. Gaz just stood there, trying to brace herself for any attack, but her pain overwhelmed her and she collapsed to one knee. She looked up and gazed at Tak, now stood right in front of her, her gaze was unchanged.

Tak reeled her foot back and brought it forward, kicking Gaz on her stomach. Immense pain filled Gaz's nerves and she collapsed to the floor. She was breathing heavily when she felt something heavy placed on her back. Tak had placed one foot on her opponent, rubbing the dirt and germs that had been collected onto Gaz's back. She was imagining what it felt for someone as prideful as Gaz to be stepped on in such a pathetic way.

"You little bug," Tak said to Gaz. The Irken lifted her foot once again and kicked Gaz a second time, sending her rolling across the room. Tak wasn't going to delay this much longer. She began walking towards the human. Gaz tried getting up, but could only hold herself up using one knee. She looked up to see the approaching Irken, she knew what the Irken was going to do when Tak activated her laser-blade.

Tak wasn't looking for a fight, she wasn't going to toy with her, no kicks or blunt blows anymore, just a single stab through Gaz's squishy, human flesh. Tak stood in front of the kneeling Gaz. Tak saw the human was barely holding on, her face dripping with blood, her breathing heavy from the blows, her body shaking from exhaustion. Gaz looked up and saw Tak's blade glowing beside her face. The Irken raised her blade, she took Gaz's bait.

Gaz suddenly rose and struck Tak on the neck. The sudden strike staggered Tak, allowing Gaz to get behind her. Gaz brought her arm in front of Tak and gripped her neck, choking her. Tak tried to swing at her with her blade but Gaz caught it with her arm and held it in place. Slowly, Gaz was choking her out.

Gaz knew she couldn't handle another brawl with Tak, especially while she was still armed with a laser-blade, Gaz wouldn't hold out long enough in a direct confrontation without sustaining more injuries, so she made a trap. The shakiness, the heavy breathing, the inability to stand, all an act just to lure Tak's guard down at the cost of a couple of kicks. Now the Irken was at her mercy.

Tak released both her remaining spider-legs that still worked, both missed stabbing Gaz on release. Tak's inability to focus and the weird angle they had to bend in order to reach Gaz prevented them from being of much use, only scratching Gaz, unable to deter her choke. Tak fell forward, catching herself with her arms before hitting the floor, but Gaz's pressure only went up. The human brought her leg up and stepped down on the arm that contained Tak's laser-blade while pulling up with the arm that had previously held it, causing the Irken's joint to bend unnaturally.

Gaz was applying as much pressure and strength as she could, but despite the choke Tak still held on for a while, but she was fading. Gaz knew something was going to give, either Tak's respiratory system, or her arm. Tak was struggling, and started getting back to her feet, she kept telling herself how she was stronger and superior, she refused to let a human do this to her. She began rising, but Gaz refused to let that happen. Gaz used her remain leg to stomp Tak behind her knee, making her fall down, face first, and causing Gaz to break the Irken's arm.

Tak couldn't even scream, Gaz still held her in a choke, but she had a moment of clarity that allowed her to use he spider-legs to lift the two up in the air. Suddenly, the ship shook violently. The imbalance of the two beings on two spider-legs caused them to fall, landing back first. Gaz hit her head and lightly let up pressure on her choke, but it was enough for Tak to grab the arm and pull it from her neck. She rolled free and began coughing and breathing from being deprived of air for so long. The two reached their feet, but Tak's gauntlet had fallen after having her arm break, and the two now faced off once again.

"...You...how dare...you!" Tak could hardly breathe between her words. She looked across and saw that Gaz was standing firm, the blood that had fallen had dried up, her breathing much more controlled than Tak's, and her eyes still giving her a death glare. Meanwhile Tak's neck still had the impressions of Gaz's grip on it, she held her broken arm, her entire body was feeling like it was going numb, she was broken. Despite that she began slowly approaching Gaz, still with intentions to kill her.

"I...I am...Irken! I'm...su...perior...to...a primitive...stu...pid...hu-" Gaz only stood there as she watched Tak make her way towards her, the Irken's steps slowing between each word, until finally she collapsed. Tak's entire body was numb except for her face. "What...did you...do!"

"Fefian blood," Gaz replied. The last bomb Gaz had launched at Tak wasn't filled with water, but blood she had asked Kor for back at the Tallest Tower. The same blood that had paralyzed Zim back on Fefa. It wouldn't give an immediate reaction, but it was Gaz's ace that would've secured her victory.

Gaz walked over to where Tak had dropped her gauntlet. She put it on and saw there was a handle inside where she would slip two of her fingers through. The laser-blade extended when she made a fist, and retracted by repeating the motion. She moved towards Tak.

She stood in front of the Irken, still having a hard time breathing. Gaz flipped her on her back with her foot. The Irken and Gaz locked glares.

"Curse you...human! I swear once I get...control of my body..." Tak was still trying to threaten Gaz despite her position. "I will murd-Are those my arms?"

"I told you I'd rip your limbs off." Gaz had cut them while Tak was making threats, her numbness caused Gaz's actions to go unnoticed. Gaz dropped the limbs on Tak's face and got up. Gaz looked down at the armless Irken. She had almost killed everyone and worst of all, read her Vendetta List. Gaz started walking away.

"Y-you can't leave me...like this! Curse...you...Gaz..." Tak passed out. Gaz was happy with her work and was content with leaving the Irken to bleed out. She had another name to cross off her Vendetta List.

Gaz returned to her bag to rest. She used her remaining water to cool herself off and wash her face. She knew it wasn't over yet. While she was wasting time with Tak, Zim was fighting the Employer and she had little confidence in Zim's ability to fight the tyrant by himself.

"-done!...your clai-...failu-...Zim...victorious over...Employer!"

The sudden voice startled Gaz, it was Zim's voice. It came from her communicator inside the bag and she immediately began searching for it. She pulled out the rectangular, metal device, no bigger than her palm, and saw that it was banged up from her fight. The screen was cracked and it looked like the outer layer was about to pop off. The message she was getting was broken, but she got enough to assume what had happened.

Did Zim really beat the Employer? Was the Employer really that weak? Gaz thought, Maybe Zim was really that competent?...No, the Employer must've sucked.

Gaz continued to listen. She heard a brief response, the voice was Daj's but she couldn't understand what he was saying. Zim gave a response, apparently Daj had insulted him again. Gaz almost felt relieved at the banter, but then Zim's comm got cut off. She wondered what happened when her comm suddenly came to life.

"AAAH-...-AAAA...AAAHH!"

That's not good, Gaz ran towards the hole that led upwards. She left her bag as it didn't contain anything useful anymore. All she had was Tak's arm-blade, Kor's boots, and her broken communicator, hoping it would come back to life again and bring good news.

Gaz got to the hole and reactivated Kor's boots. She began scaling upwards.

Zim stood on top of a scorch mark with a triumphant smile, the biggest he's ever had. He was gloating again, as he's always had, whether in victory or loss. His false superiority over others had lead him to great misfortune, but also gave him the unshakable confidence to succeed, a trait his enemies would usually ignore. That was a mistake.

"That's great, drone! Too bad we still got freaking moose down here to deal with!"

It was the Darvon companion Zim had picked up along the way. Apparently the moose soldiers still gave them trouble. The fact that someone as stupid as Zim was able to attract followers was a mystery. With such an egotistic personality, his enemies would assume his followers were nothing but dumb sheep. The second mistake. His allies were only partly dumb sheep, but they were competent enough to act as the support for Zim's crazy ambitions.

Zim's victories were due to luck and the opponent underestimating his power. To win against Zim, you couldn't fall for his stupidity, you would have to believe that he was a real threat. That was impossible. He was shorter than others. He was more gullible than others. He had scrawny arms and his brain is smaller than the average brain size for Irkens. Any sensible being would only see Zim as a meager bug. They could not beat Zim. I could not beat Zim.

"Silence, lizard-stink! I will deal with your pitiful failure to lead the battle like I dealt with-"

I got him. He didn't expect it, my tendril grabbing his leg. He fell face first into the floor as the tendril wrapped around him. He turned to face me, only to witness the several other tendrils that I had. They all attacked. I bound him by the arms, breaking the datapad he had used to detonate the bombs. He screamed. A metal tendril wrapped itself around the mouth to shut him up. I drew closer to him and stared at his face. His eyes gave a look of shock. He could not believe I had survived.

I cannot beat Zim, but I can still win.

Gaz reached the room where she had originally entered. The hole that the Dibship made was behind her, and she caught a glimpse of the ongoing moose war. Then she saw something drip further down the room, a bright orange liquid substance she recognized from Earth.

Lava? Gaz wondered what it was even doing on the ship, but it probably had to do with the Employer's and Zim's fight. She found a second hole upwards and jumped up. The room was completely obliterated. Lava had destroyed the floor and the ceiling had collapsed, spreading rubble and debris all over the room, but it gave her a way up. A support beam formed a ramp that would take her to the next floor, and hopefully Zim.

Gaz cautiously made her way up, not knowing what to expect. She didn't hear anything at all aside from the sudden sound of rubble shifting. The silence made her fear she was too late. She reached the next floor and found no one. She explored the level and found a weird scorch mark on the floor, surrounded by a ton of random shrapnel. Something blew up here, she was sure of it. Gaz found something she recognized near the mark, it was a piece of Zim's datapad. She began thinking that Zim had made a dumb kamikaze attempt on the Employer. Then a light bled from above.

The light came from an entrance leading upwards. She had a feeling that what she was looking for was near. She made another jump up, Kor's boots allowing her to land safely. She found the source of the light. It was a giant machine with a circular frame, the same design as the one she had seen on Vort. It was oriented diagonally as the side of the room it was originally built on had collapsed, but it remained intact, and was still working.

The light of the machine shadowed a being hanging from above using metal tendrils. It was pressing buttons on an angled console, its three fingers flawlessly working on the keyboard. Aside from the tentacles, Gaz recognized its shaped. It was tall with skinny arms, dressed in a reddish uniform with black gloves and boots. Two antennae stood atop its rectangular head. Gaz took a step forward. The being heard her.

It turned around and revealed its face to Gaz. He smiled at her. It was the smile she had seen throughout her life. The smile of an overconfident being who believed too much in his own superiority.

"Hello, Gaz."

It wasn't Zim. It was obvious to Gaz. It had the same body, the same face, the same voice, but it wasn't Zim. There were weird tendrils she had never seen, his eyes had faded in color, and the long periods of silence were a dead giveaway.

Gaz activated the arm-blade she took from Tak and pointed it at the imposter, "Who are you?"

"Foolish Gaz, it is I, Zim!" He still retained his smile as he descended from the ceiling to face Gaz. The tendrils remained active behind his back, sprouting from a small, metal orb, half of its outer purple layer still remaining, the other half exposed metal. Two small, antler-like appendages were still attached. Its four nubs resting firmly on Zim's PAK.
