"Damn this moose!"
Dib was rubbing the fresh bruise on his chest given to him by one of Minimoose's tendrils. He was taking a beating, but the inner padding beneath his jacket was preventing any major injuries. Minimoose seemed to be growing stronger, it was like the bio-organic was acclimating to Zim's body, finally understanding its limits and capabilities. He was getting smarter with his tendril usage too, only using them for maneuvering or quick lashes to prevent Dib or anyone else from slicing them. Only equipped with a laser-blade, Dib had to reach Zim's body to do any significant damage. He couldn't even get close.
Daj provided firing cover while riding Kry, using the turrets on the beast's back to pressure Minimoose. With Daj focusing on shooting while Kry dodged and ran from return fire, they were able to hit Minimoose several times, but it was of little impact. The lasers and bullets weren't enough to penetrate the metal shielding Minimoose, and any shots close to Zim were deflected by the metal tendrils.
Kor attacked Minimoose head-on, using the mobility from her boots to bypass the first set of tendrils, but the second set of tendrils was even more dangerous. Equipped with only her gloves, she couldn't get within striking distance at all. She would only get impaled or bound by tendrils, and then thrown back after Minimoose learned his lesson last time. However, Kor wasn't aiming to reach Zim, only to draw enough attention and resources to create an opening.
Gaz was in a trance, completely focused on attacking Minimoose. Thanks to the pressure created by her allies, she was the only one to get close to Zim. Using whatever power remained in the boots Kor gave her, she jumped past the tendrils, even using them as stepping stones to get to Zim. She used her rifle to keep the other tendrils at bay and her sword to destroy any that did get close. Reaching the Irken, the two would lock blades. She would try to turn her rifle towards him, but the Irken kept pushing it away, making it so any shot would just hit metal. Normally, Zim would not be able to hold himself in a contest of power against Gaz, but with Minimoose, it was enough hold her and more.
Minimoose brought two of his tendrils behind the human, intending to impale her. He attacked, but Gaz already knew his plans. She turned around, slicing the first tendril with her sword. At the same time, she dropped her rifle, using her free hand to grab the Irken arm that held the blade, pulling it so that it would hit the second tendril. Gaz pressed her boots against the Irken's chest and pushed off, escaping the bio-organic while pushing him back.
Minimoose was frustrated and angry over the loss of his tendrils and the human's relentless attacks. Gaz was not normal, but he knew that from going through Zim's mind. He reached into the Dimension Box again. He still couldn't figure out how to pull out exactly what he needed from the device, even the explanation in Zim's mind made little sense and was overabundant in jargon. He pulled out another weapon, Zim's luck had finally paid off for Minimoose.
"Jajajajajajaja!" Minimoose laughed, equipping himself with the weapon. The others looked on, wondering what the Employer was laughing about. He had pulled out a metal gauntlet, one that seemed to lack weaponry, no blades attached, or a hole that indicated the barrel of a blaster, but to Minimoose, it would be his most powerful tool. Wires erupted from the purple orb-shaped being, attaching to the gauntlet. He picked up Gaz's dropped rifle, and the others witnessed the power Zim faced earlier.
Minimoose took apart the rifle, the wires reconstructing it on top of his gauntlet. He aimed his fist towards Gaz, the rifle lighting up before firing a beam. Gaz jumped away, dodging the laser.
"Jajajajajajajaja!" Minimoose laughed. He sent multiple tendrils into the Dimension Box, pulling out as many weapons as he could, not caring for their functions. He broke down every rifle, blaster, sword and attached them to the gauntlet, encasing Zim's entire arm in a mess of metal components.
Kry reacted first. The beast-like Darvon sprinted towards the Irken, his back turrets removed to increase his speed and snarling at the tyrant. He pounced, his jaws open to reveal his serrated teeth. When he hit Zim, he only caught a mouthful of metal. The gauntlet became as big as Zim's body, requiring Minimoose to attach a few of his tendrils to support the weight. Kry continued to hold his bite, and was now clawing at the massive arm piece, raking away bits of metal, but the little damage he did would just get repaired. Kry's assault was ineffective, but it drew Minimoose's attention.
Daj stood firm behind Zim, a long and powerful rifle in his hands. The weaker, rapid shots couldn't get through Minimoose's metal, but one powered shot would, Daj just needed time. Zim's head within the middle of the rifle's scope, his attention still focused on the Darvon gnawing on his constructed arm, Daj pulled the trigger. A bolt of light jetted from the rifle, piercing the air, but not Zim. As the laser flew, Minimoose constructed a metal pillar that stretched outwards behind Zim's head using the excess metal from his arm. The laser only created a melted dent within the construct, and the defective metal was quickly discarded. Minimoose tilted Zim's head, his face wearing a creepy smile towards Daj.
"Aw crap," Daj said in frustration. The tyrant swung his giant arm, throwing Kry towards his Darvon companion. The two collided, crashing into a wall, causing debris to collapse on the two.
Minimoose smiled, enjoying having a catalyst for his powers, it was almost like having his old body. He walked towards the Darvons, preparing to skewer their bodies, but stopped. Crumbs of debris fell from above, he found his next challenger.
Metal began reconstructing itself towards the end of the arm, extending its length. The arm extended into the shape of a rectangle, the laser-blades he used to create it surrounded the outer rim, edging the construct. It was twice as tall as Zim's body, forcing Minimoose to use all his tendrils to control it. He aimed it upwards and jumped using Zim's spider-legs, crashing the giant arm-blade into the ceiling.
"AARGH!" cried a female voice. Chunks of debris fell to the floor, along with the sliced halves of a Fefian split at the waist. Minimoose was disappointed, it wasn't the one he was aiming for.
Using the distraction, another being dropped down from the ceiling, grabbing Zim from behind. Blade in her hand, Minimoose within her reach, Gaz prepared to kill. She struck with the blade, but the attack was expected. A tendril reached out, pulling and holding the arm Gaz used to hold the laser-blade. She struggled, trying the pull forward and overpower the tendril, she was watching another chance slip by her again. In a quick move, she let go of the free arm holding her to Zim and tossed her blade to it, attempting a swift stab, but Minimoose was quicker. He grabbed Gaz's other arm with another tendril. She was hoisted up, completely restrained my Minimoose.
Gaz looked down at the purple robot with antlers on Zim's PAK. It was smiling at her. Gaz flailed wildly, swinging her legs to try and release herself from Minimoose's grip to no avail. The metal components on Zim's arm began shifting again, forming a shape behind Zim. It was circular, elongated, and began to stretch towards her. The inside was hollow, the shadows preventing her from seeing anything, but she knew what it was once it started glowing.
Gaz struggled more, flailing her legs to try and leverage herself against Zim's body but as she barely grazed the Irken, the tendrils squeezed harder and pulled her back, making her drop her blade while making any escape attempt by her impossible. The constructed cannon glowed brighter. Gaz's heart was beating rapidly as she tried to think of some way to escape. There was nothing she could do, not by herself.
The laser escaped the cannon, heading towards Gaz. She closed her eyes and braced herself when she felt the pressure on her left arm disappear and her body swing. She heard the laser zoom by her and felt an arm wrapped round her. She opened her eyes to see Dib holding onto her with his laser-sword activated. He sliced the second tendril that held Gaz and they fell to the floor. Gaz landed first and used her boots to jump away from Minimoose. The frustrated bio-organic turned towards them, prepared to fire another laser when a revitalized Kry attacked him from behind. It was followed by an attack by Kor and Daj, allowing their human companions to retreat safely.
The two humans tumbled onto the floor, but Dib took most of the impact. Gaz got up first but was breathing heavily, her heart still racing from the last encounter.
Dib got up, rubbing the shoulder he landed on, "Gaz, are you alright?"
"I'm fine," his sister replied. She was obviously not. Her breathing was heavy and she ignored her bruises and the trail of blood dripping from the side of her face. She prepared to walk back.
"Stop!" Dib grabbed her arm.
"Let go, Dib!"
"And have you go charging in there again and die?"
"Shut up! Stop babying me!"
"I'm not! I'm saying you have to think about this first!"
"I'm going over there and I'm going to stab him. All I need to think about is the number of times my blade will go through his head!"
"We're getting slaughtered!"
"We're fine!"
"AAAAAAAHHHHH!" Half a Fefian landed next to the two, her blood pouring from the upper half. A moment later, her bottom half landed next to them as well. "Hey guys, can you pass me my legs?"
Gaz neglected the request and turned back to Dib, "That doesn't mean anything."
Dib yelled at her. "Daj and Kry can barely hold Minimoose, I can't get close, Kor is literally getting ripped apart, and you almost died!"
"I don't care! I'm going to kill him even if I have to die-" Dib slapped Gaz.
"Stop being stupid!...Please don't hurt me."
Gaz wasn't angry. The act was so sudden and she was just stunned. Her brother had never once hit her. She always thought he was too overprotective or scared to even think of such a thing.
"Dib's right, Gaz," Kor said. She had crawled around them to reach her legs and was now waiting to regenerate. "We can't just keep running at him without a plan. No matter how vague they were, Zim's always thought of something."
Gaz angrily glared at Kor, but even if she wouldn't say it, she knew Kor had a point. Gaz touched the cheek that Dib slapped. She had let her emotions overpower her again; first her feelings preventing her from killing, now her anger almost killing her. Minimoose wasn't a being that Gaz can just intimidate and use brute force to get her way. She had to think. She had to be smarter. She turned to Dib, who flinched expecting retaliation.
"...What's the plan?" Hearing the words come out of Gaz's mouth surprised Dib. He lowered his guard and answered.
"Oh, uh..."
"Figures you wouldn't have thought of anything."
"No, I do have an idea. So the biggest problem is that metal-constructing ability. So I've been wondering why he doesn't just absorb every bit of metal debris from the ship. I think he can only use metal components that are actually functional. He can't just stick any piece of metal onto himself and suddenly turn it into a blaster."
"So you want us to just break everything?" Kor said.
"We can't. Zim's stupid box is supplying him with tons of weapons," Gaz said.
"Exactly," Dib said, "That's why we have to take it."
"How? I can barely get close and I don't even have a blade anymore."
"We'll improvise."
Meanwhile, Kry and Daj were locked in combat with Minimoose. With only the two of them, the Darvons were finding it difficult to do anything to the bio-organic. Minimoose had shaken off Kry and was constantly attacking him with tendrils, preventing Kry from pouncing on him. Daj tried to find a weapon that would actually do something to Minimoose, but he did more damage by throwing the rifles, which he did, but with Minimoose's metal-reconstruction ability, things only got worse.
Finally, he was down to his Giant Fraction Blaster. He had no time to lock onto Zim so he had to aim quickly, but Minimoose knew the capabilities of the weapon and reacted immediately. A tendril shot out and grabbed Daj's hand before he could even touch the trigger. The tendril then began to move towards the giant blaster. Daj didn't want to know what his precious gun would look like combined with that metallic monster. He tossed his G.F.B. to his free hand and threw the blaster away from Minimoose's reach. He didn't react fondly to the action.
A tendril shot out and slammed into Daj, knocking him back. He landed at at Dib's feet and looked towards the human, "Hey, Dib, I hope all that combat training I gave you was so useful in standing around and doing nothing."
"We have a plan," Dib replied as he helped Daj up.
"Hope it's good, this guy is a freak."
"Yeah, he was beating you up pretty good."
"I was NOT getting beat up!"
"Yeah, sure. Hey, got any explosives?" Daj tossed a disc-shaped item at Dib.
"Thanks."
"So the plan is?"
"I'm gonna blow him up."
"Wow, how elaborate."
"I get enough sarcasm from Kor. Where's Kry?" As Dib asked, the body of the quadrupedal Darvon crashed onto the pile of metal beside him.
"Right here."
"Haha," Dib said dryly. He helped Kry back to his feet.
"What do you need him for?"
"I'm gonna ride him. You alright with that, Kry?" The Darvon gave Dib a slight nod of approval.
"Hold on, if someone needs to ride Kry, it should be me, since I have actual experience riding him."
"Daj, I already know that when you ride Kry, it's pretty much on autopilot. Besides, I need you for something else."
"Do I get to shoot something?"
"No."
"This plan sucks."
"Just shut up and listen."
As Dib explained the plan to Daj, Kor began the initial stages of the plan.
Stay in the shadows. Make small sounds to draw his attention to buy time. Only fight once he starts noticing her.
Kor recalled Dib's instructions, throwing small stones to cause a small clang that made Minimoose approach the source of the sound. So far it was going well, as Kor would sneak around the metal atrocity and prepare another rock to throw, but Minimoose already saw through her.
Minimoose had attacked the spot where Kor threw a rock with his tendrils. As Kor took aim at her next target, another tendril grabbed her by the ankle and dragged her into the open. Minimoose launched Kor straight up into the air, and then she crashed onto the floor. As she wobbled up, a tendril impaled her through her abdomen. Minimoose attacked with the rest of his tendrils, exactly as Kor wanted.
Once you're fighting him, your priority is to restrain as many tendrils as possible.
The first tendril flew at Kor, but despite the pain of the other tendril in her stomach, she kept focus. She grabbed the first tendril with her glove, stopping it from piercing her. Several other tendrils followed, Kor alternated between each glove and would rapidly open and close her hands to catch them. She couldn't stop them all, a few had pierced her, including a painful one going straight through an eye socket, but she did her job.
Once you give me an opening, it'll be my turn.
From behind Kor, a Darvon carrying a human came sprinting forward. Minimoose suddenly realized what Kor had done and tried to release his tendrils, but her grip was too tight. He even lifted her off the ground, using the tendrils impaled in her to cause writhing pain, but Kor held on, restricting the movement of his own tendrils. Seeing Dib approaching, Minimoose was forced to work with the few remaining tendrils he had left.
With Kor resisting the pain and doing her part, Kry was free to move closer to Minimoose without much trouble. Minimoose attacked, lashing at the duo. Kry easily dodged the attacks. Minimoose began firing lasers at them, but Kry swiftly strafed left and right, dodging each beam while Dib tried desperately to not fall off. It would have been an easier task with two hands, but Dib had activated his laser-blade, mostly for intimidation. Minimoose was not intimidated.
Minimoose changed his focus to Dib. Normally, a seven feet, crocodile alien with metal-crunching teeth would be the greater danger, but Dib was an easier target. One tendril attacked Kry's left and was quickly dodged like normal. At that moment, a second tendril swept above Kry, catching Dib by surprise and knocking him off the Darvon. Kry stopped for a second to look at his fallen rider; it was a mistake. Minimoose intertwined three tendrils and slammed them into Kry, knocking him away from Dib.
The human teenager rose from the floor, merely a few yards from his target, a target with a laser. The beam left the barrel of the gauntlet, Dib jumped forward, his heart beating rapidly, but he had to focus. Dib dropped a small orb at his feet, smoke erupted and cloaked his body. Dib escaped the blast and left his whereabouts unknown to Minimoose, but the tyrant didn't need to track Dib with his sight.
Dib moved towards Minimoose, not making a sound. The silhouette of the enemy was in his sight.
Stay calm, Dib. Kry didn't work as expected but the plan isn't blown yet. I just have to get a little closer and-
"Ah!" Dib suddenly found himself on the floor. He had tripped over the tendrils that Kor was holding together. The smoke did its job of concealing Dib, but it also obscured his vision as well.
"Seriously-AHHH, Dib?" Kor shouted as the tendrils continued to impale her.
Before Dib could get up, his body was suddenly dragged away. He was lifted into the air, his head upside-down, his face looking at the sinister smile of the Irken he had hated for years.
"You stupid human," Minimoose spoke, "As if you could defeat me when you could barely keep up with a defective Irken!"
"I've beaten Zim several times," Dib answered, his voice was slightly shaken despite his best efforts to hide his fear.
"And what do you have to show for it? Despite all your efforts to prove that aliens exist, you've always failed, as if some greater force prevents you from succeeding. You're such a pathetic human, always trying to prove your sanity, just because you want the pitiful acceptance of the other monkeys, but instead you only appear crazier to them."
"Wow, you talk way too much, but thanks."
"For what?"
"For staying focused on me."
"Que-"
The Employer's monologue was the moment Dib needed, it was an opening. Gaz jumped from the ceiling, wielding a blunt weapon. However, a surprise attack proved impossible thanks to the extra set of eyes on Zim's PAK. The being pivoted his body, swinging the massive gauntlet upwards at Gaz. The weight of the gauntlet made it difficult to aim, and it barely tipped Gaz, but it was enough for the attack to fail. Gaz dropped her weapon and fell to the floor. Dib's plan would've failed, had Gaz been more than just a distraction.
When Minimoose turned away from Dib, he sliced the tendril holding him up. The pain of losing another tendril caused Minimoose to immediately turn back towards Dib. The human laid sideways on the floor and the tyrant would not provide him with a moment to escape. He fired his laser. Dib's body should've had a charred hole right where the heart would be, but he was furious to find that Dib had miraculously dodged the blast, still lying on the floor. Minimoose tried to fire again but Dib's body began moving backwards. He hadn't gotten up and ran away, he was sliding.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Dib yelled as he moved backwards while dodging lasers. Minimoose continued his attack, firing rapid shots, but Dib kept sliding backwards. Dib would even move left and right to avoid the lasers. So perplexed by and focused on by Dib, Minimoose failed to notice the present the human had left on his arm.
The grenade exploded, chunks of metal flew from the massive gauntlet of Minimoose as Dib yelled in victory.
"Yes! Ow!" Dib's cheer was interrupted when he collided into a broken wall. He attempted to get up, but was repeatedly pulled into the same wall. "Ow! Ow! Ow! Daj-ow-stop-ow-STOP!"
Daj appeared from behind the wall and greeted Dib, "Oh hey, Dib, did the plan work?"
Dib stood up and stretched his back, "Perfect. Sort of. You can stop holding me now."
Dib pointed to his back. A scaly hand was grasping on the back of his jacket. It was released and floated back towards its owner. Daj didn't like the passive role Dib had given him, especially when everyone else got to do cooler stuff. Dib climbed over the wall to hide with Daj; the explosion wasn't going to be strong enough to kill Zim and Minimoose, but it was a signal for everyone to retreat. Kry and Gaz had slipped away and Kor released the tendrils. They had gone limp when the explosion happened, but Kor didn't get optimistic.
The smoke cleared, and as Dib predicted, Zim and Minimoose still stood, but not unscathed. The metal construct around the gauntlet had been significantly damaged, Zim's bare arm was even peeking from missing metal.
"There was a chance that I would've let you all live," he spoke in a calm demeanor, without a trace of fury or anger, "I would've left this backwards dimension and you all would've lived for another ten years or so. However, now I won't be satisfied until I kill you all and grind your hearts within my fist."
Minimoose pivoted, throwing all his tendrils upwards into a bunch of debris. A cloud of dust burst from the impact and the tendrils retracted, pulling a female human bound by her limbs.
"Gaz!" Dib shouted helplessly towards his sister. Gaz was struggling but had no possible way of getting free. She was dragged until Minimoose brought her face to face with Zim.
"You have been the most annoying of them all." Minimoose struck Gaz across the face, creating a gash running across her cheek to her nose. As the blood slowly dripped from Gaz's face, Minimoose was already reconstructing his arm. Salvaging the working parts of tech into another weapon. Gaz grimaced when she saw that he still had enough parts to create a blaster. Minimoose aimed the blaster at her heart.
"If you didn't have this, you could've killed me earlier," he said, "but now, I'm the one who will taco you."
"...taco?" Gaz said, perplexed by his phrase. A confused face appeared on Zim, apparently he was perplexed as well.
"No, what I mean is, I will blast your chicken legs!"
Gaz just gave him another perplexed look.
"No, I mean look at my spaghetti arms! They're...so...wiggly!...What did you do to me?!"
Gaz let out a devilish smirk, her face taunting Minimoose right in front of her. Angered, Minimoose chose not to speak, instead he just raised his blaster at the human and fired. However, instead of a hot laser escaping from the weapon, a soft biscuit merely plopped out, lightly tapping Gaz.
"What did you do?! WHAT DID YOU DO?!" So focused on the human and the trickery placed upon him, Minimoose ignored the Darvon sprinting behind him. Kry tackled Minimoose, knocking him and Gaz to the ground. Kry then grabbed Gaz by her shirt and dragged her back to safety.
Minimoose pushed himself off the floor and spotted Dib standing in the distance. He pointed at the human and accused, "This was your doing!"
"I just abused your reconstructing ability," The human replied.
"What are you talking about, my toenails have no weakness!" This is impossible, my power has no weakness...unless...did I absorb defective technology? That can't be, what sort of technology is so defective that it can-...no...Oh dios míono...
Minimoose scrambled, scanning each part of his body, then he found it. Located under the PAK and next to the back of Zim's lower abdomen was a small robot.
"Gir!"
"Aww, you found me," the SIR unit said, "Okay, now you hide and I count!"
Gir closed his eyes and began counting, incorrectly. Minimoose began to attempt to forcibly eject the robot from his body, but couldn't, each attempt only caused him to remove a different piece of tech or his blaster to shoot grape jam.
Eventually, most of the technology that Minimoose had reconstructed was gone, including the gauntlet he had used as the catalyst for his reconstruction. Only metal plating armored the Irken, and even then it was severely damaged. He looked over at Dib who was standing, proud at the success of his plan. A genuine smile had appeared on the human's face.
Minimoose hated it.
The human's righteous posture, the human's rising confidence, the human's smug face, he hated it all. It made him angry. Worse still, it wasn't even the human being proud that triggered the tyrant, it was the fact that he was being looked down upon. He was stronger than the human. A single tendril could easily impale the human's soft, squishy flesh, yet it was him that had his face to the floor. It wasn't right. It made the tyrant angry. It made both tyrants very angry.
Slowly, he rose to his feet. The slim figure looked down at Dib. The human had destroyed most of his armor and gauntlet, and yet to the human, Zim's face looked much more intense and menacing.
"You will not defeat Zim!"
Zim's words made Dib's smile fade. Wires crept from the purple orb on Zim's PAK, slithering through his body and then lining themselves onto his face. The mind-controlled Irken charged towards Dib. He turned around to attempt to run, but he was knocked down before he could take a step. Minimoose was on top of him, pressing the human's face against the floor, Dib couldn't believe how fast the bio-organic was without all the extra metal.
"You filthy Dib-worm," Minimoose whispered. He reached towards his waist to grab a weapon from the Dimension Box. It had given him random tools before, but Minimoose felt that this time, he would pull the weapon he needed: a laser-blade. However, when he attempted to reach into the pocket-sized portal, there was nothing there, the box was missing. Once he noticed, he looked around. He found the box in motion, sliding across the floor, attached to a scaly, limbless hand.
"My chicken soda!" Minimoose left Dib, chasing after the box.
"Come on, hurry, hurry hurry," Daj said to himself. Once it was close enough, the hand flew into the air, placing itself where it belong on Daj's body, taking the box with it. He yelled in triumph, but had to quickly duck when a crazed Irken-cyborg attempted to pounce him. Daj ran from the being, sticking his hand in the Dimension Box.
"You better give me a gun!" Daj pulled out his prize, and to his delight, it was a medium-sized blaster with a large barrel. "Yes!"
Daj turned around, but before he could fire a shot, Minimoose slammed him with tendrils. While on the floor, Daj made a quick decision.
"Kor!" Daj yelled to signal the Fefian's attention and then threw the Dimension Box towards her. Minimoose turned his attention to her, but when he began to move, he fell, his leg having been caught by the Darvon. "I got first dibs on shooting you."
Minimoose quickly rose with his tendrils, swinging his legs to shake the Darvon off. Daj aimed the weapon he pulled from the box, but Minimoose rushed at Daj, punching him in the gut before he could shoot. The Darvon was taken aback, even with his scales the power of the punch still staggered him. Minimoose followed up with a punch to the face, but when he tried to swipe with his tendrils, Daj dodged, letting the limbs pass through the empty space between his hand and body.
Daj launched his foot at Zim's shin. He immediately fell to one knee. Using the opportunity, Daj struck Zim in the face with his open fist. He sidestepped around the lowered opponent and placed the blaster next to Zim's head.
"Finally!" Daj pulled the trigger. Minimoose flinched but was surprised when he was still alive. Not only did a laser not come out of the abnormally large barrel, but no projectiles escaped except a burst of air. Daj repeatedly pressed the trigger in panic, each press sending a burst of air into Zim's face, annoying Minimoose. The tyrant grabbed Daj and threw him into a pile of rubble.
"Dammit, why does he even have this useless gun!" As Daj got up, the air-blaster began beeping. Realizing what it was, Daj tried to throw the gun away, but it blew up just as it left his grasp, blasting him back into the rubble. "That's why he has it..."
Minimoose turned his attention to finding the Dimension Box, but was interrupted by another Darvon pouncing on him. Kry had attacked from behind. The beast bit him on the shoulder, but only ate metal plating, but he had a vicegrip on the spot. Minimoose used both hand and grabbed the jaws of the Darvon. He pulled the jaws apart, surprising Kry by the sheer power the Irken had. Once free of Kry's grip, Minimoose threw him, sending him into a Daj who was just stumbling himself back up.
Kor had used the time to escape by climbing upwards. There were several openings to the upper floors due to the previous battle between Zim and Minimoose. She was hoping that the Employer wouldn't think to look up. As she moved she noticed a light coming from a machine. It was coming from a portal, just like the one on Vort. She looked around to make sure that Minimoose was around before she stepped in front of it. She knew Minimoose would probably not want it to be destroyed, so she powered up her glove and prepared to strike, then she was caught.
A tendril wrapped itself around her raised glove. She turned around and saw Zim standing behind her.
"Give me the box," he said. Kor grabbed the Dimension Box in her other hand, and wanting to be uncooperative, she did the only thing she thought she could do. She ate the box. Minimoose watched as the box slowly drifted around inside her transparent skin. "I'm gonna enjoy squishing your head between my fingers."
Minimoose caught Kor's other hand with a second tendril and began reeling her in. Kor couldn't stop him from pulling her despite her resistance. She began stomping on the floor, creating a loud bang with each strike of her boot. As she got closer and closer, she stomped faster and faster, then the floor collapsed.
Both beings fell to the floor below, back where they started, but it was Kor who took most of the fall as Zim landed on top of her. The impact caused her to spit out the box, making it slide across the floor, into Gaz's hand.
Gaz reached inside the box, pulling out a metal baton with a handle and trigger. The weapon was more blunt than she'd like but it would do. She placed the box behind her and ran towards Minimoose. The tyrant confronted her, sending his remaining tendrils to attack her, but she deflected them with the baton until she got close.
Minimoose reacted first, sending out Zim's fist, hitting Gaz in the face the moment she was within reach. She staggered a bit but spun around to hit Zim herself, returning with a blow to the face. Minimoose used his metal tendril to grab Gaz, but she stepped back, instead letting the tendril wrap around her baton. She pressed the trigger. Electricity flowed from the baton, through the tendril, and all over the metal armored Irken.
It wasn't enough to stop him. With all his strength, Minimoose pulled back on the tendril, yanking the baton out of Gaz's hand. When the electricity ended, the tendrils had gone limp, so Minimoose made do with what he had. He attacked Gaz with both of Zim's arms, but she caught them both. Despite blocking the attack, Gaz felt herself being overpowered, being pushed backwards by Minimoose, but she didn't let go of her grip. She needed to make sure Minimoose didn't escape.
Kor appeared beside Zim, having crawled to the Irken to escape the bio-organic's line of sight. She sent one of her fist upwards, hitting Zim's arm and bending it in a position that shouldn't be possible. Minimoose cried in pain, but it didn't stop there. Gaz let go of the arm that was struck and pulled on the other arm. Once it was in position, Kor tried to do the same to the other arm, but Minimoose's tendrils regained their movement and pushed the Fefian away.
Minimoose lost control of Zim's right arm. They had turned it into a limp noodle, but he could still feel each of Zim's fingers.
"This won't stop me...no matter how much you break Zim's body..." Minimoose was having trouble focusing his speech through the pain, "...he's just a sock...and I'm the hand brain!"
A tendril wrapped themselves around the right arm, bending it back into shape and bracing it. He regained the ability to bend it, and Kor and Gaz prepared for the counterattack. Minimoose approached them slowly, his two targets standing firm. The slow pace made Gaz and Kor question a direct assault or if he was going to attack at all. Minimoose always had the intention of attacking first. He was waiting for a small opening. A slight moment where their focus shifted, like when Gaz and Kor looked at each other for a brief moment. Minimoose made a sudden lunge forward, forcing Gaz and Kor to react quickly. Once in range, Minimoose spun around, swinging all his tendrils at the duo. Both of them were knocked away, but Kor, due to her lighter weight, was knocked away even farther.
Gaz stood up, breathing heavily from the sudden strike to her chest, but she had to fight back. However, with only a pair of power boots with little, if any, energy left, she was under-armed. Minimoose stepped towards her, but Gaz would make the first move to attack. She rushed at him, throwing wild punches at his face, but he dodged them all. He let one punch through, but it struck the metal plated armor, causing no effect. Gaz quickly spun around, sending a kick to the same spot. To Minimoose's surprise, it actually staggered him, creating an opening for another punch to the face, actually making contact with Zim's face. However, Gaz's fist was barely touching the Irken's skin, he had caught her arm and stopped it right before the impact of the punch could be felt, leaving Gaz at his mercy.
Minimoose slammed Gaz to the ground by her arm and rapidly pivoted to the side, extending both arms to catch both punches from a sneaky Kor.
"With your punchy gloves, you were a threat," Minimoose began squeezing Kor's fists between his fingers. Kor could hear the chips inside her gloves break, causing small sparks to pop, her screams of agony growing as more pressure was placed on her hand. With one final squeeze, Kor's screams ended, her gloves became useless, and the blood from her squished hand poured through the openings. "Now, you are just jello filled with apple-juice!"
Minimoose returned to Gaz, who was still on the ground. He pulled her up by the throat and she began grasping for air. "Tell me where the box is and your death won't be as slow and waffles."
"Don't...even...have...it..." Gaz squeaked out. Her answer disappointed Minimoose, and he would've chosen a different death for the human, but he'll be satisfied with such a pathetic death for Gaz as well. He began gripping her tighter, slowly applying the same force he used to crush Kor's hands. Suddenly he felt a burning sensation on his hand, forcing him to drop Gaz. A quadrupedal Darvon jolted by and picked up the fallen girl, sending her to safety. Minimoose inspected the burn mark and recognized that it came from a laser. He turned his head to the direction the shot had come from when another laser flew by, whiffing his head by several feet.
Standing five meters away was a tall, human male, wielding a small blaster. Dib had actually aimed both shots at Zim's head, but one whiffed and the other almost hit his sister's.
"Don't move or I'll-" Minimoose immediately ran at the human despite his warning. Panicked, Dib fired several shots from the blaster. Minimoose didn't bother to dodge any of them, knowing that they would all miss due to Dib's unremarkable skill with a blaster. Frustrated by his lack of skill at such a crucial moment, Dib threw the blaster away and just activated his laser-blade on his hand, but before he could swing, Minimoose had grabbed him. The tyrant carried Dib at full velocity, only stopping to slam Dib at full force into a wall. The impact was strong enough to make him taste his own blood. Before Dib could even fall to the floor, Minimoose caught Dib's artificial hand, still activated as a laser-blade.
"With or without the box, I already know where I can get a weapon," Minimoose said. He squeezed the base of the artificial hand and a still conscious Dib serenaded Minimoose with his screams. Finally, the robotic hand was completely removed from Dib. "So much hand squishing. Now, I stab!"
The sound of rushing claws made Minimoose turn away from Dib. Instead Minimoose flipped around and caught a pouncing Darvon in the air. Being sick of Kry's tactics, Minimoose used his newly acquired blade and shoved it through the lizard's abdomen. All attempt of flailing that Kry was making stopped.
"K..ry..." Daj said weakly, still injured from his earlier altercation, as he watched his mentor get stabbed as he himself drifted to unconsciousness. The still, heavy body of the Darvon was thrown aside. Allowing Minimoose to turn his attention back to Dib, who was unable to escape. Minimoose swiftly brought the blade down, wasting no time, but was blocked by another laser-blade.
"WHO! Who must continue to stop Minimoose's handing of death cakes!" Minimoose shouted in frustration. His eyes trailed the blade to the owner, and found the being that he hated more that the Dib-worm and Gaz combined. "You..."
A red-haired boy in what looked like a cheap astronaut suit held the laser-blade, saving his fellow human in the process.
"By orders of the Intergalactic Rescue Kommand, and to avenge my love, I have come to give you your death sentence!"
"You're an idiot."
