AN: This one is pretty short, but the season premiere killed me. I'm crushed and dead inside and I have hope that Shonda will pull it out, but in the mean time I am looking to fast forward to the good parts. Which doesnt really motivate me to write, but I had this planned and I wanted to get it out for everyone. I need happy Olitz, or at the very least not suicidal/Julia Baker Olitz to get me to watch next week so I'll invent it in my head. Next chapter they will explore the house and I'm really excited about it. Okay enough rambling...
When Fitz and Claudia made it back to the apartment, heads together, whispering quickly, they immediately noticed Olivia sitting on the floor pouting, but coloring with Scarlett. Michael saw them with questioning looks and quickly looked up from the computer he was staring at over Huck's shoulder.
"Game is over." He told them. Fitz looked at his watch,
"Already?"
"Well once Mongo over there decided to chuck the remote at the TV after they decided to go for it on fourth and eight it was."
"It's okay though the TV isn't broke." Scarlett added helpfully.
"Poor Livvie are they ganging up on you?" Fitz asked as she looked up at him pitifully.
"Why would they do that!? They were a head!"
"I know." He said soothingly.
"The TV is fine."
"I know." He agreed again.
"Maybe it was best to shut the game off."
"Probably." Olivia finally calmed down and curled up on Fitz's lap.
"Okay now that you've calmed down the animal can we get down to figuring out what we are going to do tomorrow?" Michael asked.
"We have to wait until Scar goes to bed." Olivia told her without lifting her head from Fitz's chest.
"Its nine o'clock, isn't that a good bed time for a kid?" Abby asked.
The adults in the room all exchanged a look and they realized they had no idea.
"Uhm, I can go to bed, I'm pretty sleepy." Scarlett said forcing a yawn for the sake of the clueless adults in the room.
"Okay sweets, do you want one of us to read to you or stay with you until you fall asleep?" Olivia asked her concerned about her first night in a new place. Scarlett looked up at her stunned.
"You wouldn't mind reading to me?" Scarlett asked, her mother only read to her for the sake of her learning, Quinn was the one that made reading come alive for her, she figured once Quinn was gone, that part of her reading would be too.
"Not at all, I bet I even have a book you'd like to hear." Olivia forced away a feeling a hatred towards Kim and went to pull To Kill A Mockingbird off of her shelf and guided the little girl off to her room. Everyone bid her a goodnight with hugs and a kiss on the top of her head from Fitz. Zorro and Boo both followed them to the spare room and the foursome got comfortable on the bed. Olivia began reading with Scarlett glued to her side, she briefly worried that she would wake her when she got up, but she remembered that some how when she fell asleep the same way as a child she never noticed when someone left.
"She's good at that already." Abby commented as Olivia disappeared around the corner.
"She's always been good at that, she's been taking care of everyone her whole life, or at least trying to, its who she is." Michael replied with a look of strange pride on his face. No one thought their situation was ideal, but he was proud of the way Olivia was handling herself with all the changes.
"Okay so when she gets back out here tell her that Michael arranged for you guys to go pick up the jeep, but you both need to sign for it. Huck call Harrison and tell him to get gone." Claudia immediately starting giving out orders.
"I'll get her back before Scarlett wakes up." Fitz promised Claudia, who already volunteered to watch her.
"Wait what's happening?" Michael asked confused looking between the two, he was sitting on the couch with a half asleep Abby very close to collapsing on top of him.
"Fitz is surprising Olly, we are helping!"
"By we you mean?"
"You can go back to the hotel, or whatever," she said gesturing at Abby, "just leave a gun, but don't tell Olly." Claudia said, knowing that she would need to protect Scarlett, but Olivia would never allow it, she had already given Fitz her own gun to take with them.
"Fine, but we figure this plan out tomorrow, this isn't a social call," he said almost regretfully towards Abby who was too far-gone to notice.
By time Olivia made it back twenty minutes later smiling and saying,
"She's down for the count," Abby was asleep half leaning on Michael half spread out on the couch. Olivia plopped herself down in Fitz's lap and decided she'd like to fall asleep shortly too.
"Okay, lets get this over with because I'm jetlagged and exhausted."
"You cant be jetlagged without a time change." Fitz told her stroking her hair, they'd had a long few days, and regardless of a time change she deserved a nap.
"Than I am just exhausted and sick of your sass mister." Olivia said poking his chest causing Fitz to chuckle.
"Actually you can't go to sleep quiet yet, since Scarlett needs a real car to drive around in I gave the car salesmen some money to stay open so you guys could pick up the car. You and Fitz both need to go though, Claudia will hold down the fort with the little bit." Michael told her disinterestedly.
"Why couldn't you have mentioned that a few hours ago? And why do both of us have to go we already signed the paper work." Olivia complained.
"Come on Livvie, its not a big deal, besides we could use some alone time." He winked at her knowing that after four days of not having any 'alone time' she was going a little crazy too.
"I'm not having sex with you in the truck the last time you nearly gave me a concussion from my head hitting the damn roof." She whispered at him, but the gleam in her eye didn't rule it out as an option, he met her look with the same gleam.
"Fine let's go." Olivia stalked back into her room to grab shoes and a coat, while Michael tried to rouse Abby gently stroking her shoulder and hair.
When Olivia came back out Michael was sweetly handing Abby her purse and guiding her coat onto her shoulders and out the door, bidding everyone goodnight. They shut the door behind them and Claudia and Olivia exchanged a look with Huck.
"He's not just dropping her off at her apartment and going back to the hotel is he?" Claudia asked with a wrinkled nose, she liked Abby, but wasn't used to seeing Michael with a woman, he'd never really brought girls around the family.
"I really don't want to think about that!" Fitz and Olivia told her at the same time earning another glare from her.
"I need wine." She rolled her eyes at them being back in sync, after apparently losing it for half the day, and poured herself a healthy glass.
"Goodnight guys." Fitz said earning a look from Olivia because he'd starting pulling her out the door getting impatient.
Once in the truck Olivia immediately plugged in her iPod and starting blaring music through the speakers. Undressed by Kim Cesarion was pounding through the speakers getting Fitz's attention,
"Is that going to be the theme of this little trip?" He asked smirking at her bopping in her seat.
"Its mostly to keep me awake, but now that you mention it four days is too long, we need to sound proof the bedroom or something because otherwise my attitude is going to take a turn." She said grumpily, not aware of the effect she was having on Fitz. He was about one sexually charged comment and shake of her hips away from pulling over.
"Bee you missed the turn for the dealership." Olivia told him looking up from her iPod briefly to notice where they were.
"Well if you wouldn't talk like that maybe I wouldn't miss my turns Livvie." He replied sassily earning a grin from Olivia. The next song to come on was Desire by Meg Myers prompting Olivia to scoot closer,
"Remember when we danced to this in that club?" She said directly into his ear and stroking his leg.
"Please…" He groaned as she allowed her hand to wander upwards and stop.
"Please what? Please remind you of how I had my back to your chest dancing against you? How I was wearing that backless dress you loved taking off me? How we didn't even last an hour before you pulled me out of the club, then how we didn't even make it into the apartment?"
"Livvie…" He was losing his mind, barely able to remember where he was going and what his plan was.
"What Bee?" She whispered against his neck teasing him with her tongue.
"We're here," he barely managed to huff out and throw the truck into park. Before she got the chance to look around and see where here was he pulled her onto his lap, she was vaguely aware that they weren't at the dealership, but it was too dark to really see and he felt too good for her to really care.
They broke apart in an effort to catch their breath and because they both had a distant awareness that they had things to do before they could get carried away, and they both knew they would get carried away.
"We're home," he said amending his earlier statement.
"No we… what really?" She asked her voice breaking a bit when she looked behind her to see their home looming in front of her.
"Do you like it?" Fitz asked, but she was stunned speechless, it was everything she had wanted for them. Without looking inside she saw their future in that house.
"Livvie, you like it right? Because I mean we could sell it, but we'd have to live in a hotel and please say you like it." She finally caught on to what he was saying and forced words to come out.
"Don't sell the house."
