Chapter Five

-Familiar Face-

Kurogané stalked through the village, his jade gaze taking in everything and everyone. He paid no heed to the glances the townspeople were giving him, nor to the way they shuffled and scurried away from him, as if they knew if they got in his way he would kill them. No, he didn't notice any of this, because tonight, his attention wasn't on his next meal. It was on witches.

He knew this town to be a favored spot for most otherworldly beings, though the humans remained unaware of it. All Kurogané wanted to do was find himself a witch that he could torture for information, in order to beat out his cousins from their competition. He was the one who deserved to become the next Uchiha ruler, not them. He was the strongest, the cleverest, and the most decisive. Not to mention the best at giving orders.

Making a face of distaste as he walked past a couple of disguised gremlins, he moved his attention to the other side of the bazaar, before freezing in his tracks. There, across the way, walking amongst all the humans, and monsters, and creatures, was someone he had thought to have been a thing of the past. Her ebony hair looked the same as he remembered it, and when she turned to face him, the breath was knocked out of him at the sight of her beauty. She had become more beautiful than he had imagined she would as a child, and despite her small frame being covered by a black cloak, he could see enough hints of her form to know she was beyond desirable.

She looked up then, as if sensing his gaze, and when her deep emeralds met his shining jade, the surrounding area seemed to fade away, taking him deep into the past.

The room was dark and scary. Shadows shifted from outside the window, and all Kurogané could hear was the spooky hoots of an owl. From his spot on the floor he could see everything in the room, and while he knew it wasn't a cell, he couldn't make out half the furniture, for it was covered in white sheets, preserving it from the elements. He drew his knees up to his chest and wrapped his arms around them, the chain binding his wrists together tightening over his flesh. He winced, but didn't move them, instead wanting to find comfort in any way possible.

More than anything he wanted his mother, but when he'd asked for her the woman who took him said he wouldn't be seeing her for a long time. He wondered what she meant by that. A long time could mean anything to a vampire, especially because he was so young. Only five and three quarters, if you included things like that. Which he did.

Next to his mother, he wanted his sister. He and his twin had never been apart, and the thought of never getting to hold her hand again, or hear her laugh made him sad. But he didn't cry. Boys weren't supposed to cry, and he didn't want any of the strange women watching him to think that he was weak. Being from the most pristine lines of vampires, he had to be strong, and keep up his family's image. That was why, when he heard a faint creak in the corner of the room, he stiffened, willing himself not to shake. "Who's there?" he asked, training his gaze on the shadows. "Show yourself!" he demanded, trying to put on a brave front.

There was a small 'Eep!' from behind the door, which slowly opened. A small head peered in, beautiful emerald depths looking inside the room before landing on the only inhabitant. The girl came in slowly, her eyes wide with curiosity. Her hair was midnight black and cut short, aside from her bangs, which were only slightly longer than the rest. She was wearing a short black dress that stopped at her knees, with a massive silk ribbon tied around her waist and into a bow on her back. "Who are you?" she asked, stopping a bit away from him, though she seemed to be attempting to hide behind a covered chair.

Kurogané tried his best to see her, and he wished he were older so that his vision would be fully enhanced in the nighttime, like his parents'. "I asked first." He huffed, before remembering that he was supposed to be a gentleman. "My name's Kurogané."

She stayed quiet, though she peeked around the chair once more before coming a bit closer and sitting in front of him, but still far away. She pointed to herself, before smiling slightly. "Viletta."

He looked her over a bit unsurely. "How come you're not chained?" he wondered. "Did you escape?"

Viletta shook her head. "No. I live here."

His eyes widened slightly. "You live with those mean ladies?" he asked. "Is one of them your mom?"

"My mom isn't mean." She defended with a little huff. "You must be in trouble if they put you in time out."

"But I didn't do anything!" the Uchiha said, practically glaring at her. "I was playing hide and seek with my sister, and now all of a sudden I'm here." He pouted. "I don't even know where I am…or where Zuzu is."

Viletta blinked, not sure what to think. "I dunno…my mommy didn't say anything about a boy and we only have one boy here." She moved closer, staring down at him as she got to her knees. "If they hurt I can get them off. I already know a lot of magic, cause' my mom says I'm the bestest Dark Moon ever."

He looked at her curiously. "Dark Moon? What's that?"

She shrugged. "I dunno, that's just what my mommy says."

"Well my mommy says I'm gonna be one of the strongest purebloods ever when I grow up. Even stronger than my dad." He said with pride.

"What's a pureblood?" she asked, looking confused.

"They're vampires that didn't have to be bitten to be created, and are from the original vampire lines." He recited. "That's what my mommy says anyways. She says we're also rare, which means there's not a lot of us anymore."

"Oh wow…" she breathed out. "You're a vampire? I've never met a vampire before."

He nodded. "Well I never met a witch before. My mommy told me they were ugly, but you don't look ugly at all." He shook his head. "You're kinda pretty, actually."

A small blush appeared on her cheeks, though it was hard to see due to the lighting. "You think I'm pretty?"

"Yeah." He said. "You could almost be a vampire you're so pretty."

"You're embarrassing me." She whispered, looking down and playing nervously with her dress. "I'm just quiet and boring…and keep to myself."

Kurogané frowned. "Being quiet is not boring." he said. "My mommy says people who are quiet and keep to themselves usually have the most important things to say, so when they speak everyone should listen." He told her. "That's what she told me anyways, cause' I don't like to be around people 'cept her and my sister."

"Oh…" she looked down, scooting back slightly since she didn't want to be invading his space.

He gave her an odd look. "What're you doing?"

A guilty blush spread across her cheeks and down her neck she was so embarrassed. "Um…well…uh, you said you don't like to be around people…" she explained, swallowing hard.

"But I like you." he said, his jade gaze fixating on the tint to her fair skin. He swallowed, becoming suddenly aware of how hungry he was. "Hey…do you think…you could get me something to eat?" he asked as his stomach grumbled. "I haven't eaten since I been here…and I'm starving."

"Ye-yeah." She nodded, looking back up at him. "What would you like? Bread? Cheese? We have lots of vegetables too."

"Um…I need blood…" he trailed off, for the first time feeling uncomfortable saying what it was he ate. "Maybe…if you caught a rat or something, I would be okay with that…though I prefer human blood."

Viletta blinked. "Oh…I, um, don't know where to get that…" she said softly, before looking down at her arm. She met his gaze once more. "Is…is it going to hurt?"

"No, I usually use the numbing venom." Kurogané said. "Vampires have different kinds, see, so it feels different 'pending on which one it is."

"Um…okay…" she scooted closer to him, offering him her arm. "Well you can have a little…I'm a little scared though."

"Don't worry, I'll be gentle, promise." He assured her, reaching forward with his chained hands and carefully taking a hold of her wrist, afraid he might break her if he was too rough. He licked his lips, bringing her appendage closer, before sinking his teeth into her flesh right over her pulse point. Her blood instantly flooded his mouth and he closed his eyes, savoring the taste as he began to drink.

Viletta winced, but remained still. It had only stung for a moment, and now something odd washed over her, a feeling she'd never experienced before. "I feel tingly." She whispered, her eyes closing slowly.

Kurogané almost didn't pay her any mind, continuing to drink his fill, until something his mother told him came back to him. She had said that humans needed blood in their bodies to live, and so if you ever didn't want to kill one you couldn't drink it all up. He didn't want to kill Viletta, she was the only one who was nice to him in this terrible place. And so, with a will he didn't think he possessed, he pulled away from her wrist, licking up the stray droplets before doing the same to his mouth. "You taste real good." he told her, already seeming more healthy.

"I…I do?" she asked, holding her hand closer to her as she covered the wound.

He nodded. "Yeah…like…I could eat you every day, for the rest of my life."

"But, would that kill me?" Viletta wondered.

"I dunno." He shrugged. "I haven't learnt all about that yet. My mommy and daddy bring me food that I can kill. But I don't have to eat every day, usually just ever other day, sometimes every three days, 'pending on how hungry I am."

She watched him for a bit, before scooting closer. "So how come you're here?"

"I'm not sure." He admitted. "I was playing hide n' seek with my sister when suddenly it was all dark and I couldn't see. And when I could see again I was here, and some ladies were staring at me. They told me this was my new home now, until they needed me."

Viletta smiled slightly at the thought of him living here with her. "Are you happy? It can be fun."

The Uchiha shook his head. "I wanna go home, where my mommy and daddy and Zuzu are." he said, trying not to sound as pitiful as he felt. "I miss them."

"Oh." She blinked, looking off as she thought about what it would be like to be taken from her family. She couldn't imagine how terrible it would be. Viletta looked over Kurogané once more before reaching over and touching the chains. She closed her eyes and focused hard, before in a small sparkle they disappeared, freeing him.

His eyes widened in awe. "Wow! That was really cool!" he smiled, looking at his freed hands. "Thanks!"

She smiled. "I would be sad without my mom and my sister. So you should hurry and go home, I can help you. Just think about where you want to be, real, real hawd." She said, touching her hand over his heart. She closed her eyes once more and took a deep breath as she focused.

He nodded, closing his eyes and picturing his bedroom back at his house, praying and praying that he could be there with all his might. He felt a strange tingling sensation come over him, and when he opened his eyes, he smiled brightly. "Thanks Viletta." He whispered to no one in particular, before going over to the door and throwing it open. "Mommy!" he shouted, running out into the hall to find his mother and tell her all about his adventure, and the little girl that he would never forget.

And he never had forgotten her. Seeing her standing there across the crowd brought back not only the brief happiness he'd felt in that house when she had visited him, but also the taste of her blood. To this day he had yet to find a human who tasted as delectable as she did, and he wondered if she would let him drink from her the way she had all those years ago. The fact that she was a witch was unimportant right now, and not even a thought in his head. All he knew was that he needed to speak with her.

In an instant he was before the ebony haired witch, and he could tell by her surprised gaze that she did in fact remember him. "Viletta."

Her green depths didn't move from him as she stared, not responding to him at first. "Oh my God…" she finally breathed out, her voice lulling him instantly. "It is you." She swallowed, unable to move.

"I never thought I would see you again." He told her, taking in her appearance now that he was closer. "You look even prettier."

She arched a curious brow, clearly confused. "You…remember me? So…you remember what I am, right?"

"Just as you remember what I am." He said, glancing down to her wrist. "Do you have a scar?" he wondered, returning his jade gaze to hers.

She lifted her hand, turning her wrist and revealing her flesh to him where two, almost invisible dots remained on her skin. He gently grabbed her wrist, bringing it closer to his nose as he inhaled her scent. "You still smell mouthwatering." He murmured against her flesh, before lowering her hand so that she knew he didn't mean her any harm.

"I haven't seen you…for years." She frowned, looking off. She lifted her hand and gripped her arm, trying not to show how odd his presence was making her feel. She remembered the vampire boy from her past, and the commotion her release of him had caused, but she'd never known why he was there. He'd been so cute and scared. It had almost convinced her that vampires were sweet and nothing to be afraid of, until later of course when she found out the truth.

"Well I've been avoiding witches." He smirked. "Until now, at least."

Her attention sparked and she met his gaze once more. "Why are you looking for them now?"

"I'm not." He lied easily. "I simply meant that now that I've found you, I am no longer avoiding witches." He explained. "Since you are not one I feel I should stay away from, nor do I feel the desire to do so."

"You should stay away from me." She said simply, stepping away from him and walking back down the way she'd been going.

His brow furrowed, before he followed after her. "And why is that?" he wondered. "Are you going to kidnap me and chain me to the floor?" he joked, trying to lighten her sudden dark demeanor.

"That was the plan." She sighed, deterring.

"Really?" he asked. "Why?"

"Hm?" she glanced back, feigning innocence. "Oh…nothing. I was only kidding."

His gaze narrowed. "No you weren't." he accused.

"Yes I was." She stopped, turning to face him. "If I wasn't, I would have already taken you and had you chained against the wall."

"If you were actually kidding, then why did you tell me to stay away from you?" he arched a brow.

She shrugged. "Because I'm a witch, and not a good one for you to be around."

"What, are you evil now?"

"According to my father I was born evil." Viletta said simply, unable to hide the flash of hurt in her green depths from just saying the words.

"Why?" Kurogané asked. "Because you're the Dark Moon?"

Her brow furrowed slightly, "You remember that?"

"I remember our whole encounter." Kurogané replied. "For the record, I don't think you're evil. Misunderstood, perhaps, but not evil."

"How would you know?" she huffed. "You don't even know me, nor I you. We met once for nearly thirty minutes. So I don't understand why you're acting as if we are long lost friends who've not seen each other for a while. I helped you once, and I was scolded for it by my mother."

His eyes instantly became guarded. Clearly Viletta didn't think of their first meeting the same way he did. Perhaps it was because she had freed him that he felt this desire to connect with her the way he had when he was a youngling. And he refused to explain to her his reasoning, for that would only make him seem sentimental and weak, and he was not weak. If she wanted to look at it as nothing more than something that happened in the past, he was more than capable of doing the same. "Very well. Thank you for your assistance. I didn't get the chance to say so then, and so now I can write it off as just another memory." He bowed politely, before turning and beginning to walk off, suddenly wanting to go kill something.

Viletta stared after him, her eyes slightly wide. She was surprised at the hole she felt in her chest at the sight of his retreating form, but she turned her back to him and continued on her way. She stopped immediately before she got too far, her eyes widening slightly. He was a pureblood, and she could tell my just looking at him he was one of the higher purebloods. Before she could stop herself, she pulled out a small knife and pressed it against her flesh, cutting a clean line. She watched as the blood began to clot and knew it wouldn't be long now.

Before she even knew what hit her she was snatched off the road, and suddenly her back was against a tree. Kurogané was in front of her, his previously jade eyes a deep crimson as he pinned her arms up above her. "Are you trying to die?" he hissed, the muscles in his body taut as his fangs protruded from his mouth.

"I just wanted your attention." She said, appearing cool and collected. She would never let on that his actions had startled her, but it was easy to remain stoic, as she had most of her life. "I wanted to tell you not to go."

His gaze narrowed. "I am not the only vampire here, Viletta." He said lowly, bringing her arm down and licking along the trail of blood, keeping his gaze locked with hers. She visibly shivered, only because she'd never been so turned on before, let alone from an action that should have disgusted her. He glanced back then and growled, keeping his tongue on her skin. From the shadows she heard something hiss and growl, but the sound was drowned out by Kurogané. Suddenly he jerked her away from the tree and against his body in a very sexual manner, his teeth lightly grazing her cut as he continued his display. Eventually the protesting growls died down and disappeared, and once he was assured the other vampires were gone, he slowly lowered her arm from his mouth and straightened, glancing around the area. "You should be safe now." He said.

There was a small tint of pink on her cheeks as she tried to smooth out her cloak and fix her clothes. "What was that?" she whispered.

"You cut yourself." He said simply, his eyes fading back to jade. "An open invitation to every vampire here looking for something to eat. So I demonstrated that you were mine through a display of possession and power. They know by my eyes alone I am stronger than them, but if they had not left when they did I would have had to fight them."

"I knew you would get to me before they did." She shrugged, appearing as if she wasn't affected by what she'd just done. It honestly hadn't occurred to her that others would come after her so quickly.

"Hm." He snorted, crossing his arms. "So now that you have my attention, why is it you don't want me to go?"

Viletta swallowed before she took a deep breath and leaned forward, resting her hands on his crossed arms and pressing her lips against his in a soft kiss. She could tell he had some odd obsession with her, whether it be small or buried. But he was a pureblood, and she needed a pureblood, so why not lure one in without a fight? She pulled away then, though not too far, and stared up at him. "I remember. Just the way you do."

He gave her a wary look, though she could see the surprise in his eyes. "Um…okay." he blinked, unused to such contact. It had been different when he was defending her, because that was all instinct. But he didn't know her reasoning for kissing him, or what he was supposed to do in response.

She blinked, stepping back further now that she saw his discomfort. "I'm sorry." She said immediately, hating the pit she felt in her stomach from the rejection. She'd never felt something like this before. In fact, she'd never felt anything before, at least not until she'd seen him. "Nevermind. I just…I don't even know what I was thinking. I need to go. I have things I need to get."

When she moved to walk past him he reached out and grabbed her arm, firmly but gently. And when she looked back at him to see what he wanted, he turned her to face him, seeming to be searching her expression for something. Then he leaned forward and hesitantly brushed his lips against hers, before planting them on her in a firm kiss.

Viletta's eyes widened, though the warmth that spread through her only caused her to kiss him back. She didn't understand why she felt like this. Warmth from a vampire was unheard of, but that's what he was. She lifted her hands and cupped his cheeks, letting herself enjoy something for the very first time. Kurogané moaned, circling an arm around her waist and pulling her against him, much in the same way he had been holding her before. He felt her lips part slightly, and he took the opportunity to slip his tongue into her mouth, sliding it against her own as he tasted her.

Their tongues tangled together, their mouths molding perfectly as they enjoyed a kiss that felt as if they'd never missed a beat. "This doesn't make sense." She mumbled against his lips. "Why…" she breathed as he kissed her again. "Why does it feel like this?"

"I don't know." He replied, not stopping in his kisses as he threaded his fingers into her hair, pushing the hood of her cloak back. "But I really like it."

"Yeah…" she nodded slightly, closing her eyes as she enjoyed his caresses.

Eventually he pulled away, realizing she may need some air. He took in her expression, his own seeming to soften slightly. "I feel like I know you." he said softly. "Truly, deeply know you."

She searched his jade depths with her own before nodding once more. "Because…you drank my blood?"

He shook his head. "That can't be it. I've drank millions of peoples' blood, and yours was not the first either." He sighed, running his fingers through her hair before stroking her cheek. "I've never heard of this happening before."

"Weird." She sighed softly.

"Could it…have something to do with your powers?" the Uchiha wondered.

Viletta shrugged. "I don't know how they would cause that. My powers revolve around death and darkness mostly."

He smirked. "Then maybe that is it." he chuckled. "After all, I am a symbol of death and darkness."

"But then wouldn't that just make it the same between me and any other vampire?" she asked, seeming skeptical.

"Perhaps, although you won't find any others that are as strong as I am." He said, trailing a finger along her jaw. "Either way…this is a conundrum."

Viletta sighed. "One that will most likely go unsolved."

"So what do we do now? Part ways like we did as children?" he wondered. "Or stick around and explore this phenomenon?"

"You could always take me to your home this time. Chain me to a wall for a bit." She smirked.

He chuckled, resting his hand on her neck over her pulse. "I do not think my family would appreciate having a witch in the house." He said, seeming to consider her idea. "Though, it would be more in my favor if I chained you to a bed, instead of the wall."

"Whichever appeals to you more. I'd be the trapped one instead of you." She snickered, before pulling away from him. "So what do you say? Want to take me home? We could try and figure this out."

"Hm…" Kurogané took in her form once more before nodding. "I think that's a good idea. You'll have to hold on though, because I like to run fast." He smirked.

"So long as you don't mind." She said with a small smile. "I know you don't like to be near people."

He curled his finger beneath her chin and tilted her face towards his. "I like to be near you." he murmured, kissing her deeply, before lifting her over his shoulder and breaking into a run with no warning. Viletta yelped, trying not to scream as she gripped onto the back of his shirt for dear life.

"S-slow down!" she yelled, closing her eyes tightly since she was getting vertigo.

Kurogané did as she requested, glancing back at her over his shoulder. "Are you alright?" he asked.

"This is so jerky!" she whined. "And bouncy. How do you do this and not get sick." She grumbled.

"Well it's different for me." he smiled. "Would you prefer if I carried you a different way?" he asked.

"Yes." She grumbled.

He chuckled, pulling her forward into his waiting arms and catching her. "How is this?" he asked, smiling down at her startled face.

Viletta nodded. "Better."

"Alright, let's try this again." He said, resuming his run.

She closed her eyes once more, enjoying the wind against her face. He was just as fast, if not faster, as if she were riding on her broom. It felt nice and oddly comforting to be in his arms this way. After about twenty minutes of this he slowed, eventually coming to a walk. "This is my home." He said, causing her to turn her attention to the large gothic manor house before them.

"Oh wow." She blinked, admiring the design. "So does all your family live there? Or just you and your immediate family?"

"My immediate family." He replied, walking around the house towards the back. "The rest of my family lives nearby. Most of the larger houses in the area belong to us."

"So it's like a little neighborhood of vampires?" she chuckled.

"In so many words, yes." He nodded, leaping up onto one of the balconies. "My family is very close, and don't tend to stray from one another." He walked into the room then and set her down. "This is my room."

Viletta stepped away from him, looking around at the simple décor of the room. "Very nice." She nodded, facing him once more. "So you still live with your parents?"

"Yes." Kurogané said. "It isn't custom to move out until you find your mate."

"Really?" she blinked, seeming somewhat shocked. "But can't that take decades?"

"Time is relative when you live forever." He replied.

She went over to his bed and sat down, "I suppose so. Must be a drag. To live forever. What if you don't find a mate?"

"Not everyone does, and some are happy with it." he told her, following her over to the mattress. "But once you find your mate, living for eternity isn't as bad as people make it out to be." he sat next to her. "What about witches? Do you have husbands, or do you simply find a male to reproduce with in order to continue your line?"

"We have husbands, though only the pretty ones get them. Male witches are rare and prefer the prettier witches. When witches become corrupt and can't handle the magic they have, they corrode. It's quite disgusting, hence why males prefer the pretty ones. The nice looking witches are the more powerful ones. Most do not take husbands, and if they do, a lot are human."

"And so has a male witch pursued you yet?" he wondered.

She nodded. "A few. Other than our leader, I am the most powerful. My sister is a close second, but she is too kind and too lighthearted to further herself in the dark ways. She prefers to stick with white magic."

"Is she a moon as well?"

"The Full Moon." She said, before turning a bit to face him. "But enough about that. How about we focus on something else, hm?" Viletta smiled slightly, leaning closer to him.

He returned her smile. "Someone has a one-track mind." He chuckled, leaning closer to her. "I like it." he said, before meeting her lips with his own.

"It wouldn't be so one tracked if you weren't so distracting." She mumbled, enjoying his kiss as they moved closer to each other. She pulled away slightly, batting her lashes at him. "Is there a bathroom where I can freshen up real quick?"

"Yes." He said, pointing off to a curtained doorway. "My bathing chambers are through there."

She stood, leaning down and taking a hold of his face before she kissed him deep and slow, allowing both of them to get lost in the kiss. When she pulled away and saw the somewhat dazed look on his face she smirked. "I'll be right back." She whispered, pecking him once more before straightening and pulling the string of her cloak undone so it fell to the floor, revealing her nearly skin tight dress. It dipped in a low V, showing a dangerous amount of cleavage, as well as a large black diamond, with tight sleeves that stopped just before her elbows. It stayed tight all the way down till it reached her thighs, where it fanned out slightly all the way to the floor. She gave him a small wave before disappearing into the washroom.

Viletta stopped in front of the mirror, looking at herself before taking a deep breath and closing her eyes. She whispered an enchantment, her fingers beginning to sparkle. She touched her lips, making them shimmer before they returned to normal. She fixed her hair by running her fingers through it, and then adjusted her bust a bit. She smirked at her reflection, before going back out and stopping once she had closed the curtain. "I'm ready." She said softly, giving him an alluring pout.

He smirked. "You look ready." He said, rising from the bed and walking over to her. He took a hold of her hand and tugged her towards the bed, pushing her back onto the mattress before crawling over her. "You're beautiful." He murmured, stroking her cheek with the backs of his fingers, trailing them down across the curve of her breast.

She shivered, her whole body quivering from the delicious feel he was producing. "Thank you…" she moaned softly, wanting more.

He gripped the mound then, enjoying the weight of it in his hand, before he lowered and kissed right between her breasts. Then he licked up the side of the one he was holding, lightly biting the area before continuing his path up towards her neck. "Be gentle…" she whispered. "I've never done anything like this before."

"I know." He murmured, taking a hold of her other breast as he kissed her neck. "I can smell it in your blood." He told her, nipping her ear.

"You can?" she blushed, seeming surprised by this fact.

"Mhm." He nodded, kissing along her jaw. "Virgins smell different, more pure, in a sense." He explained. "And even if I couldn't smell it, I could taste it earlier." He pulled away to look down at her face.

Viletta frowned slightly, looking off. "You do this a lot…don't you?"

Kurogané blinked. "Do what? Seduce witches in my bedroom?" he wondered. "Because you are actually the first."

"Seduce anyone." She clarified, looking back up at him. "You said virgins smell different…how would you know if you hadn't been as close as you are to me?"

The corner of his mouth lifted in a small smile. "Because I prefer the taste of the blood." He told her. "Once I've had my fill I let them go. Some vampires enjoy the act of deflowering a virgin and drinking their blood during the entire process. I simply drink, and then let them go when I've had enough." He said, cocking his head to the side. "Why? Are you jealous?"

"No." she lied, frowning and looking off, unable to quell the hollowness she felt spread through her.

He reached out and gripped her chin, turning her to face him. "I cannot change what I am, Viletta." He said. "It's part of our upbringing and culture to seduce women, innocent or no. And while I have done that a few times, it never meant anything to me other than my next meal." He slid his thumb along her jaw, rubbing the smooth skin there. "This means something to me." he emphasized. "Here, with you…I wouldn't even bite you unless you asked it of me.

"Why should I believe you?" she asked, unable to look away. "You're a vampire, it's your nature to lie."

He arched a brow. "And what is a witch's nature? To be kind and do good deeds?" he asked.

"There is such thing as a good witch." She glared slightly.

"Just as there are less evil vampires." He replied.

Viletta sighed. "Somehow I feel as if you aren't one of those."

Kurogané moved off of her so that he was sitting next to her on the bed. "Why does it even matter to you what I am? According to you we don't know one another, I'm just some boy you helped once and got scolded for later."

She sat up, trying not to show her irritation with him and the fact he'd yet to kiss her. She turned her back to him and sat on the edge of the bed crossing her arms. "You're acting like it's weird that I'm jealous and upset when you seemed so set on me from just a look. Besides, if I sleep with you you won't prefer the smell of my blood anymore, because it'll be different."

"I doubt that's the reason I like your blood so much." he grumbled. "I just don't understand why you are allowed to be jealous, but I can't act as if we've known each other for years. That's almost the same thing."

"I didn't say you couldn't act that way." she huffed, giving him a small glare as she got off the bed. "I said I was sorry back at the town, and that I felt the same and I remembered." Viletta grabbed her cloak from the ground and began to retie it. "Maybe I should just go."

He sighed, rolling his eyes since she couldn't see. "Well if that's what you want to do then fine. You can leave the way you came." he said, pointing to the balcony.

Viletta tied the bow a bit angrily before stomping off to the balcony. "Fine. I will."

His gaze narrowed and suddenly he was before her. "Don't." he said, taking her hands in his. "I want you to stay."

A small pink came to her cheeks. "Will you make up your mind already?" she mumbled, looking off in embarrassment, though she was having a hard time resisting wanting to kiss him. But oddly she wanted their moment to last.

He smiled slightly. "I have. I want you to stay." He said. "I'm sorry…I'm just not used to interacting with someone I actually like…well…other than my family, and even then it's a select few."

She peeked back at him, returning his smile. "Well then, I'll stay."

"Good." he smiled, leaning down and lightly pressing his lips against hers. He slipped his tongue into her mouth, deepening their contact. "Come back to the bed…" he murmured, but she could hear something different in his voice, and knew her spell was working.

She deepened their contact, enjoying his final kiss before he fell against her, and eventually crumpled to the floor, unconscious. Viletta sighed, looking down at him. She turned away and headed back for the balcony, before stopping and looking back at him. She went back, kneeling beside Kurogané and leaning closer to his face. She smiled tentatively down at him before brushing his bangs from his face and kissing his forehead. "See you 'round." She whispered, straightening and going to the balcony. She snapped her fingers and a silver broom appeared, dropping into her hand. She positioned it between her legs before taking off into the sky and looking around at the massive houses in the area. Each was separated by a gate and forest, but none of them were too far apart. She flew to the nearest house, veiling herself in darkness so she couldn't be seen. It helped that Kurogané had placed his scent all over her, not to mention she'd been in his bed and trapped between his sheets and himself.

If anyone even thought they sensed her, they would only catch the scent of their relative. She cased the house, looking through the windows before she saw a young vampire that was undeniably an Uchiha. The dark haired woman dropped onto the balcony and peered through the window at the brunette that was preparing to depart. She was dressed in black attire, tight pants and a button up shirt. She pulled on a long black trench coat, adjusting the sleeves before she froze and whipped around, seeing nothing. The vampire searched her room with red eyes, before letting out a sigh. She turned back around and nearly screamed, though no sound came from her mouth as some magical force sealed it shut. Viletta moved her fingers quickly, causing darkness to wrap around the vampire until it surrounded her like rope.

She fell back slightly, but Viletta grabbed onto the hem of her shirt to bring her closer. Blue-green depths stared with horror into the menacing green of her captor. But the witch could see the question in her eyes. She smelled like Kurogané and she didn't understand. "You're mine now, pureblood." She smirked, using her magic to shrink her down to the size of a mouse. She snapped once more and a cage appeared, catching her and locking her inside. "All mine!" she began to cackle, before disappearing into the night, leaving an empty room for the two horrified adult vampires that ran in.
