Chapter XII- Cyanide acid, you say?

Falco then went back to the motel right after he finished the business. After telling the man to put down his gun, plus being forced to get to Pigma immediately, was very tired. When he went back home, he scanned what he had found on the crime scene he had investigated when he first came in Coneria.

"Let's see, the medicine..."

The analyzer then beeped. And told him: "Please wait for 10 minutes for a detailed explanation."

"10 minutes...alright...if I am one step closer to save Krystal. And my friend anyway."

When the analyzer was going on its analysis, Falco looked at his luggage. Those are pictures of him and his friends when they were young.

"What did I want to save that orange furball and be nice to him anyway..." He thought himself when he is looking at the picture where Fox and Krystal smiling happily, and he was at a corner hardly giving a smile. Lurking in the dark shadows.

Two minutes has passed when he thought of this photo. He then turned into another. It was another picture. But this time, it's only he and Fox. Fox was giving Falco a brotherly shoulder pat, when the evening sun and the crimson twilight was behind them, which make them emit bright, scarlet light at their back. With the long shadow of the two entities which existed within the fabric of reality.

"Every picture cost ten seconds to take. We have 10 people, and there are 10! (362880) ways of standing in different positions. That is 3628800 seconds of my life!" He thought that to himself. When he was taking that picture. "But not so when I take them with Fox, he's...different... like Hyacinth."

Three minutes has passed when he looked at it. Then the analyzer beeped.

"The analysis is not as hard as I think." Said the analyzer. Displaying a hologram of a lady in a modern suit. "I found that it was made in Coneria. For it has bacteria which originated from the same planet. Plus, the registration number indicated that it came from Coneria too. The factory responsible for this bottle of pills will be the Coneria division of Modern Pharmaceutical Factory. INC. This bottle is lastly seen in Gewehr street. But I'm only 7% sure by analyzing the video footages from the surveillance cameras."

"Very well then, let's get to the factory."

"I think it will not be necessary. You should visit the owner of the factory, for he will store the information you needed. I have performed a geological analysis and found that this bottle of painkillers came straight from the owner's house. So we should find more information on him. Furthermore, in Gewehr street, there is only one apartment which was rented out and belongs to the same man. For the street is quite old and inconvenient after all."

"Let's go then!"

He drove his car, and it was still raining.

Stopping in front of a house, he went in. But before he knocked, the analyzer beeped.

"Be careful, Mr. Lombardi." Said the analyzer. "That man is a dangerous man. Several people were found missing in his house. Please do not be the next victim."

"I'll try to."

As he knocked, the door opened. And he saw a little man. In a Scottish suit.

"Oh, hello there." Said the man

In a creepy voice. Which made Falco tremble.

"I need some strong poison. Like cyanide acid." Said Falco. Pretending that he needed it. "Can you help?"

The man used a perverted eye to look at Falco's body and face. And his legs.

"Cyanide acid, you say?" Drooling as he had not known. "Please come in."

The man was only standing at 4"6 tall. And seemed to be a small, ratty figure. He laughed quietly as Falco went inside the living room with him. When they approached the sofa, the man wanted Falco to sit down.

Falco did so. Being skeptical.

The man then went away, saying that he should take a drink for themselves.

Falco then used Lylat to speak to the analyzer to scan for evidence. And so, the analyzer used Lylat to respond: "I am only 50% sure that evidence are in here. You should better take a chance to get inside the rooms."

That's when the man came out.

"Who are you talking to?"

"Duh...hallucinations..." said Falco. Trying to be looking as natural as possible. Switching back to English.

That man then said: "Very well..."

As he sat down and gave Falco a cup of orange-yellow liquid. Which he smelled ethanol.

"Holy Leon!" He thought. "Ethanol!" But he still did not change his expression.

The man sat down, seeing Falco holding his cup, he asked: "People like you would always need some beer. You want some?"

Falco shook his head. While in his mind, he only wanted to get this through quick.

"I make these extreme poisons which can kill people in seconds. Often...painlessly. I create...nectar from heaven for those in pain and suffer..."

"Just quit your rubbish, you son of a...argh!" Thought Falco.

"...in battles. Fighters would want to end their lives that way instead of suffocating in space..."

Falco cannot beat this mushy language anymore. It is useless to him in anyways.

He changed the subject.

"What clients do you serve?"

"I served the mighty StarWolf team. Their leader said to have a poisonous agent that can make them end their suffering painlessly in the case of them being heavily injured or captured by anyone...and many others. I...am the key of heaven to..."

Falco popped straight out again.

"I am not a familiar face here, am I? Then I needed an apartment to stay in. I am friends with a guy in Gewehr street. But I forgot his name. Do you remember?"

That man stopped. Thought for a moment.

"You sure that you don't want to drink?"

"I don't want to."

"Wait me. I'll bring the chemicals." Said the man. As he went away.

After disappearing in sight, Falco stood up.

"Great! Now let's continue!" He thought. As he walked.

The footsteps were quite loud. As the analyzer quickly told Falco in Lylat: "Stay quiet!"

Falco then thought that it was not good for him. Since stealth is not really what he is good at. Still, he tried to walk slowly and quietly to the rooms. And opened a door.

"Slowly...slowly..." he thought. As he tried to not emit any sound.

He did. And he went inside.

Looking inside the room, he first searched the cabinets.

The white cabinet has four containers. And when Falco opened the second one, out there was the receipts and the ownership of the housing property. And he saw that there is only one on Gewehr street.

"So that there must be where the killer is!"

Just then he was smacked in the back.

"Hmph! Nosy little leprechaun!"

Falco fainted right away.

When Falco woke up, he found that he was strapped by rope on a rack. Both legs and arms. He breathed heavily. For he was nervous.

"Ah. Woke up already?" Said that man. "That apartment in Gewehr street...I gave it to a man called Joe Valentine. Anything doesn't matter about him crushing cars. It only matters that he has the money... he drove a Blue Viper when he arrived. But he said that it was ready to be disposed of and is not sellable. Anyway now. My pretty blue. Ready to turn into these monsters?"

Falco was panting heavily and rapidly. He was helpless in these situations. No matter how he moved or tried to let the rope break, there is little to no avail. When he looked his surroundings, he saw some horrible things. Some rotten creatures, who seemed to be animal humanoids for there are bits of fur and feathers on the ground. With a clear sign of mutation of tissues. Their skin is red and rough on observation and bloating a little. And is munching another thing which seems to be flesh on the floor. All was seen inside a locked metal prison.

"I just needed to get the perfect mutation formula for my virus. After that, I will rule the world." Said the man. As he walked near Falco with his injection on his hand.

"Those people are also like you. Pretty as they were. But they were actually spies from the CDI. So I did what they should deserve. Now...let's start, shall we?"

Falco had not stopped swearing the man since he looked at the zombie-like creatures.

"...you stupid son-of-a-bitxh! What are you doing here? I bet that you are gonna fucking rule the world! You Son-of-an-andross!..."

But his sentences seems to change when the man started to approach Falco slowly.

"...uh...STOP! GET THAT THING OFF ME! BACK OFF YOU PIECE OF SHIT! GO AWAY! DO NOT EVEN COME CLOSE TO MY..."

The doorbell rang.

"Oh. Why must there be something which ruins my fun?" As he looked back, he told Falco to stay. As he put his injection back on the table at the opposite of Falco, which has a surgeon's knife.

But Falco, tightening his fist, sensed the analyzer on his left hand.

"Analyzer! Get the army knife out and cut the rope!" Falco whispered loudly.

The analyzer then opened the rectangular seal on its side which was intended to print paper. And an army knife came out. The mechanical arms moved front and back as he felt the rope loosening.

Finally, it went loose. And Falco released the ropes on his other hand, then his legs.

"Shoot!" Said Falco. As the man came back and saw Falco standing up.

"Some Earth Federation consensus guy. A human. Let me cut off your clothes first..." As he took the virus on the table at his side, not noticing that Falco had his feet on the ground.

Falco took his pistol out. And aimed at the man.

"Halt! Stop moving..."

But the man seemed to be not afraid of the gun. As he took the surgeon's knife, and tried to stab Falco while he was talking.

Falco then dodged but slipped onto the floor. And the man caught his chance.

He grabbed the injection and tried to inject the virus by stabbing the needle into Falco's skin.

However. When he turned to the rack and grabbed the virus he had left behind, he was shot in the leg. Falco has stood up again.

Surprisingly, he did not feel any pain. But he cannot walk, fell on the ground and instead, threw the injection like a dart.

That injection was sent flying. And when it went to Falco, it scratched Falco's combat suit. And luckily did not come contact with his body.

"Holy shit!" Yelled Falco. As he shot the man while yelling out loud in triumph and fear. Who seemed to be in a sitting position after his leg was shot.

Falco took some badly aimed shots. With his "Eagle eye" pistol. The magazine was filled with an order of bullets of acid-incendiary-kinetic-shock. Making the man's skin first sizzled with acid. Then burned. Then pierced a hole. Then got zapped with an ultra strong current. Repeat four times with the specialized 17 round magazine. (The first bullet is kinetic. Then it follows the sequence mentioned above.)

After his gun went clicking, the room has a blue avian, his gun having white smoke going out from its muzzle, and a dead man who is burning, sizzled by acid, pierced with holes and got strong current in his body at the same time.

He looked at the man with disgust. And walked away. As he reloaded his gun.

"Thanks, analyzer. Now we should go to the car disposal after some rest."

"No need to thank me, Mr. Lombardi. You had succeeded in closing another case again."

When he came out of the house, he saw a name tag on the floor. He took a look. And back there was the symbol of the Earth Federation.

"Hmph," Falco smirked. "Guess I should be thankful. I've been saved by my twin! HOW SWELL!" As he laughed at his last sentence. Under the rainy weather of Coneria. As raindrops fell on him. And he felt the breezy feeling.
