Hello,
I'm back! Isn't this exciting? For me, it is. It's been three years, I think, since I starting publishing TSLOBS, but it feels like an eternity to me. I missed writing so much, but school had to come first. Now, I'm done, though, with school forever (Thank God!) and I'm ready to fall back into this magical world of writing once again. I loved the excitement that I would feel everytime I would finish and a chapter and publish it for you to read. I would wake me early to read your reviews and get your opinions (Good or Bad) and write to you back. It was a refreshing and eye-opening experience I cherish. I hope I'll be able to do that many times from now on.
So, an idea has been in my head for a few days, just a dialogue scene, nothing much, but I decided to make it into a story. A story with no outline, no plan, nothing. I wanted to just write and see where the story is taking me. Let's just say I've stumbled on a few surprises 'my characters' had for me. It's nice, because I don't even know what's going to happen next, just a few ideas here and there. We could say that I'm the writer and the first reader of the story (if that makes sense). I'm already eight chapters ahead of this new project I'm working on. I won't publish it, though, until I've finished it completely, or at least I am close to finishing it, and until most chapters are beta-ed. I want this story to better than The Secret Life of Bella Swan and more mature. A little bit more organised and less 'fluffy'. I'm older now. We'll see how it'll turn out.
The reason why I'm writing this is because I'm looking for a beat reader. I know, I could just click on the 'betas' button right here, on this site, but it'll take forever and it'll need a lot of research. I want this to story to be published as soon as possible and knowing that I have a beta working on my chapters is only going to make me write more. It'll be like a motive.
So, if you are a beta and want to work on my story leave me a review on this "chapter". If you are someone who wants to help and knows some good beta-readers (preferably someone who you have worked with before and are satisfied) leave me also a review with your recommendations. I'd very much appreaciate it.
What I want from a beta-reader: I want them to handle English Language very well (It would be the best if their first language is English), I've been away from English for a long time and I feel like I've lost my touch a little bit. I want them to be loyal and on time. Of course, I don't want them to post my stories as their own, because that would suck and hurt. Don't do that to anyone, guys, it's not classy. I'd also need my Beta to be a reader as well, to work as a pre-reader or something. What I mean is that I would like some feedback on the storyline and how she/he likes the story, how they would want it to work out and stuff like that. It doesn't mean that I'll follow their ideas and advices on that, it's my story, but I'd love an opinion. The story is going to be about Twilight, again, Bella and Edward, mostly. It's going to be multi-chaptered, I don't know how many chapters just yet. I said it before, I take this story step by step, chapter by chapter. No plans, nothing.
So, yeah, I can't thing of something else. I basically want a good Beta reader with experience and someone is going to be honest. I don't want sugarcoating. I want them to have an opinion about the story and write it to me.
It's going to be a process, though. I'm a skeptic person, so I'll like interview the people, who will make the cut. I'll talk with people you've work with, after of course you tell me some of your work, so I could check it out. You may think that this is over the top, but I need to know the person I'm going to be handing chapters to. The Secret Life of Bella Swan was beta-ed by Project Team Beta, a wonderful site who helped me very much with all of this, but it seems like it is out of service (which made me want to cry and give everything up, to be honest), so I'm going out here to find a beta. I need to know that everything is going to be perfect.
If you could help out, that would be amazing! I think we've spent an awesome time together with my past story and I got to talk and have a whole conversation with some of you. Art brings people together and here on Fanfiction it is actually a reality and I love that. I hope we'll be able to do it again and very soon.
