AN: Hello again everyone! I know that it has been a few years since I last updated, but I am finally back. I am going to try to keep updating more often. I am also still working on the sequel to Lost Love, But Soon To Be Found so keep a look out for it. Well on with the story!

Chapter 2

Darien's POV

I watched as Serena ran out the doors. I turned back to Andrew as I took some money out of my wallet to pay for mine and Serena's drinks.

"I'm going to follow her and make sure everything is okay," I told Andrew as I gave him the money.

"Okay, man," he replied as I ran out the door after Serena.

I was running the way I had seen Serena run when I suddenly saw the huge monster blast its way out of a house. I came to a sudden stop as darkness enveloped me.

"Darien, wake up! Darien!" I heard someone say as they shook me awake.

I opened my eyes to see Andrew staring at me.

"Hey, what happened?" Andrew asked as he helped me stand up.

"I don't know. I just remember running after Serena. Then I saw this monster. But that's the last thing I remember," I replied as I dusted myself off.

Then suddenly we heard a female voice and a male voice scream as the same time.

"Serena!"

I looked over at Andrew.

"Serena?" He asked as he looked at me with a worried look.

We heard footsteps coming towards us very rapidly. We turned and saw a blonde haired young boy running towards us.

"Please help! My sister was hurt by the monster! She won't stop bleeding!" he cried as he stopped in front of us.

"Okay, what's your name?" I asked as he grabbed our hands and started to pull us towards this damaged house.

"My name is Sammy. Please hurry!" he begged as he let us go and ran into the house.

"Wait, Sammy?" I asked myself.

Then I remembered back at the arcade.

Serena pulled out her cell phone, and answered it.

"Hello?" Then she paused. "Sammy, what's wrong?"

"Oh my gosh! Serena!" I exclaimed with realization as I ran into the house with Andrew following behind me.

"Sammy, where are you?" I yelled.

"We're in here! Please hurry!" I heard him yell from another room.

I ran towards where I heard his voice. As soon as I ran inside the room, I stared at the scene in horror. Serena was lying in her mother's arms, unconscious and covered in blood.

"Andrew, call 9-1-1!" I yelled as I ran towards Serena.

"Okay!" I heard Andrew reply as he ran out of the room.

"What happened to her?" I asked her mother.

"I don't know. The monster knocked me out, and when I came to, Serena passed out, and was bleeding like crazy!" she cried as she rocked Serena back and forth.

"I saw it all happen," I heard Sammy whisper.

We both looked at him.

"What happened Sammy?" I asked him.

"Well, I called Serena because I heard some banging downstairs. I was scared and didn't want to go down there. And while Serena was running home, I heard mom scream. Then Serena told me she was home, and for me to stay in my room. When I heard Serena scream, I ran downstairs and I saw this monster! Then I saw Serena and she was bleeding on the side of her head. The monster was throwing spikes at her. When the monster noticed me, it started to throw spikes at me, but Serena jumped in front of me to protect me. She kept getting hit by the spikes. Then Sailor Moon showed up and defeated the monster!"

"Sailor Moon?" I asked.

"Yeah, she said something about being a defender of justice, but she was awesome! She saved our lives."

By the end, he was whispering as he stared at Serena.

Then Andrew ran back into the room.

"The paramedics are on their way!" he said as he knelt down beside Serena's mother.

I looked over to her.

"Ma'am, I'm going to pick Serena up and take her outside to wait for the paramedics," I told her as I reached for Serena.

"Okay," she nodded as she placed Serena in my arms.

I stood up with her in my arms, and ran outside with everyone following after me. When I got outside I sat her on the hood of her mom's car. I took my jacket off and pressed it against the wound on the side of her head. Then we heard sirens.

I looked up to see an ambulance pull up next to us. Then I saw lots of people gathering around to find out what was going on.

I picked Serena back up and ran her to the paramedics.

"Is this the girl we got a call about?" one of the paramedics asked.

"Yes!" I told them.

"Okay, lay her down right here," the other guy said as he pointed to a bed in the back of the ambulance.

The paramedics started to strap her down after I laid her on the bed.

"Who's going to ride with her?" one guy asked.

"I am," Serena's mother said as she stepped into the ambulance.

"Mom, what about me?" Sammy asked.

She looked at him then turned towards me.

"Can you bring him to the hospital, Mr.…" she paused.

"My name's Darien," I replied. "And yes, I'll bring him to the hospital. I just so happen to know Serena. I met her this morning on the way the Crown. I want to make sure she's safe."

"Thank you so much, Darien!" she said as they closed the doors and drove off.

As I watched them drive off, I heard a cat meow. I looked over to see Luna running toward Sammy.

"Luna!" Sammy exclaimed as he ran and picked her up.

She started to pat his cheek as she meowed.

"It's okay, Luna. The doctors will save her," he whispered as he started to cry.

"Hey buddy, don't cry. Your sister is going to be alright," I replied as I knelt in front of him.

"Are you sure?" he asked.

"I am positive," I replied.

"Okay."

"Now let's get to the hospital."

I got up and walked towards Andrew.

"Can I borrow your car?" I asked him.

"I'm going with you," he said.

"What about the Crown?"

"I closed it for the day when I heard screaming, and I saw people running."

"Oh."

"Yeah, so let's go!"

We walked to the Crown, with Luna in Sammy's arms. When we got there, we got in Andrew's car and he drove us to the hospital.

"Do you think I can bring Luna in with us?" Sammy asked as Luna meowed.

"Yeah, pets are allowed if they are trained, and Luna, I believe, was trained before Serena found her."

"Thanks, Darien," he said as he smiled at me.

"You're welcome, buddy," I replied as we continued driving down the road to the hospital.

*Three Hours Later*

Serena's POV

As I started to wake up, I heard something beeping to my right. I opened my eyes to see me lying in a hospital bed. A doctor was in the room, messing with my IV. When she saw that I was awake, she smiled.

"It's good to see that you're awake. My name is Dr. Mizuno. I'm the doctor who did your surgery," she said as she sat down in the chair next to the bed.

"Where's my family?" I asked as I tried to sit up, but winced in pain.

"Take it easy. You were beat up pretty badly. I had to remove about 20 spikes out of your body, and I stitched up all your cuts," she told me as she helped me sit up. "And your family and a few friends are sitting in the waiting room. Would you like for me to go get them?"

"Please, I need to make sure my mom and my little brother are okay!"

"Alright, I'll be right back," she said as she got up and walked out of the room.

A few moments later, I heard someone running down the hall. As I looked up towards the door, my brother appeared and just stared at me with tears running down his red puffy cheeks. As he took in the sight of the bandage around my head, he burst into tears, ran towards me, and jumped onto the bed into my arms.

"Ow, be careful," I winced as he hugged me tightly.

"I'm sorry, Serena! I was so scared that you were going to die!" he cried as he continued to hug me.

"Shh, Sammy, it's alright. I'm alright. The doctors saved me. I'm going to be alright," I whispered as I help him close.

"Please don't scare me like that again, Serena!" he cried.

"I'll do my best, okay Sammy?" I told him as he pulled away to look up at me.

"Okay."

"Serena!"

I looked up to see my parents running towards my bed.

"Mom! Dad!" I cried as my mom hugged me close.

"Oh sweetie, you scared me half to death! When I woke up and you passed out on top of me, I thought you were going to die! Don't ever do that to me again!" my mom cried into my chest.

"If I hadn't of done what I did, you and Sammy would be dead. But I promise I'll try not to scare you again," I replied as I laid my head on top of hers and started to cry.

Then suddenly I was attacked by a black fur ball.

"Meow!"

"Luna!" I exclaimed as she started to pat her paw against my face.

Everyone started to laugh as Luna started to lick the tears off my face. Then I heard two unfamiliar laughs. I looked up to see Darien and Andrew standing in the doorway.

"Darien, Andrew, what are you doing here?" I asked after everyone stopped laughing.

"Well, after you ran off, I ran after you to make sure everything was alright, but then I saw the monster. Next thing I know Andrew is waking me up. I must have fainted of something. But then your brother came running towards us saying you were hurt. Well, Andrew called the ambulance and here we are now," Darien said as he came to stand beside the side of my bed.

"Yeah, he kind of saved your life!" Sammy exclaimed. "The wound on the side of your head wouldn't stop bleeding so he used his jacket to stop the bleeding."

I looked over to Darien.

"Thank you, Darien. I guess I kind of ruined your jacket. I'll buy you a new one. I promise!" I told him.

"No!" Andrew exclaimed. "That jacket was horrible! The green color looked like throw up!"

"Hey, I liked that jacket!" Darien pouted.

Everyone laughed at the face Darien gave Andrew.

As I looked around at my family and my new friends, I made a decision then and there that I would do whatever it takes to keep the look of happiness on everyone's faces.
