Awaiting Battle!
Inuyasha glared into the distance. 'Where are you pig?' He thought.
"Don't worry Inuyasha." Said Kaya. "I will smell his scent when he arrives.
"Yeah but the problem is you both smell the same! ARHH!" He clasped his hands to his head. "WAIT A SECOND!" he suddenly yelled. "Weren't you supposed to tell me a secret about how to defeat Kyoufu Oni?"
"OH YEAH I FORGOT!" Kaya shrieked in horror.
"Well, tell me now!" He glared at her.
"We don't have time! We need to travel far to attain the power!"
Inuyasha roared. "What are we meant to do now? We won't be able to defeat him at this rate! All we will be able to do is hold him off!"
Kaya bent her head down in shame. "I'm sorry Inuyasha."
"We're screwed." Inuyasha sighed.
"Wait." She popped her head back up. "I think I smell something!"
"Hey me too!" Inuyasha sniffed the air. "It's KYOUFU ONI!" He exclaimed before running away towards the scent. Inuyasha jumped out of the trees and landed on the path to cut him off, but then realised that it wasn't Kyoufu Oni. It was Kayas brother.
"What are you doing here?" He said disappointedly.
He handed Inuyasha a note that said 'I am here to help. I changed my mind.'
"Oh did you now." He said looking up at Kayas brother who nodded slowly. "Fine, come this way and hurry up!"
"Brother!" Kaya exclaimed when they arrived. "You came!"
Her brother nodded and then handed a message to her that said, 'I still cannot read or write. I had the librarian write this message for you. He has decided to call me Riku."
Kaya smiled tenderly at her brother and then turned to Inuyasha who was headed back inside the cottage.
"Man I'm hungry, maybe another snack before battle."
Rustling came from inside and things were crashing onto the ground. Inuyasha unsheathed his sword slowly and then jumped out from his hiding place ready to attack when suddenly he realised that it was only Shushu with his whole head sniffing and rampaging through their food storage. Inuyasha grunted, he was disappointed that Kyoufu Oni hadn't shown up yet.
They waited until dusk but nothing happened.
"Maybe he is planning to pounce on us when we least expect it?" Inuyasha sighed.
"Probably." Kaya replied. "He has always been the sneaky one."
Soon they went to bed and everyone took turns to keep a look out for Kyoufu Oni but he never showed up.
In the morning Inuyasha grew agitated "WHERE IS HE!" He yelled, "I WANT TO CUT HIM UP ALREADY!"
Days past, but still nothing. So where did Kyoufu Oni go?
